2024-12-12 08:38:25 +0000 UTCWhat I got from the superhero movie discussion is that superheroes generally work better with cartoons and tv shows than movies, as all the heroes (besides Guardians) that you mentioned having spotty movie records have great cartoon showings and I’ve heard it on good authority that the MCU’s best creation was Daredevil season 3 ;) P.S. watched the Batman Oscars clip, was indeed hilarious!

Of this category, there's Psychic-types, Legendaries, and Pokémon treated as Legendaries because the movie is about them. Outside this category, there's Meowth (the main outlier) Chatot (literally a parrot) and any Pokémon that can create illusions. 2. I don't think there's a single superhero movie that can be called the best. Superhero stories blend genres all the time, and a lot of these genres are trying to accomplish very different things. It doesn't feel right to compare a space opera like Guardians of the Galaxy to a spy story like Winter Soldier to an urban fantasy like Doctor Strange.

2024-12-12 01:22:33 +0000 UTCI share alot of Vera from Council of Geeks views on Arcane season 2- namely that the ending did not successfully convince me that Zaun and Piltover actually were on the road to recovery, because Zaun didn't ever really have their needs addressed except by Viktor (by him healing the sick and encouraging his cult members to renounce violence)- like yay the Piltover council has a single token person from Zaun (who has never shown an ounce of care for politics or anyone from Zaun other than Silco and Jinx), but Piltover let Zaun get completely overrun by Viktors Hive Mind Zombies! And we're expected to believe the general population give an iota of a shit about the people of Zaun now??? Anyway I felt like they completely dropped the ball on the political/social commentary aspects of Arcane, but succeeded in writing very good characters for the most part that had nicely concluded arcs so that was cool.

The resurrection of Vander killed my engagement in the story, it violated stuff we were deliberately shown in Season 1 and it was a transparent attempt to paint Jinx in a better light rather than do the hard work of having her confront her crimes and mistakes
