FALL SEASONAL UPDATE!

Howdy Patrons! It's fall! (Well, it's been fall for a couple weeks now, pardon my delay, I was zooming to finish my portion of the Halloween Special. More on that in a minute!)

It's time for another seasonal update of what's new and what's next for OSP, and while it's essentially full speed ahead on videos through the end of the year, there are a couple other things happening in the background.

First, Books: Red and I are both at the point in the publishing process where it's almost entirely out of our hands, and we just get to let the publishers do their thing between now and next year when Aurora Arc 1 and The Veneziad are all printed and ready to be enjoyed in amazing tactile 3D book-ness!

On Pins: we've got a pin pack of Anubis and Osiris coming out around Halloween, and we'll be finishing our year of monthly Zodiac pins with a new drop on Black Friday. We wanted to make sure our Scorpio enthusiasts aren't left empty-handed, so we'll launch mr grabby-claws as part of our Black Friday sale. (Saggitarius and Capricorn fans fear not, we'll release them early next year). More details to come as we finalize them with our partners at Crowdmade, but our goal, as ever, is to open up our whole vault of pins and offer the steepest discounts Crowdmade will let us. We're also going to do what we did last year with Ursa Major / Taurus pack and combine the zodiac pins into packs of 2, so Virgo & Libra, Space Crab & Knife Crab, and Gemini / Leo for $18, a slight discount on their individual prices.

As for merch-merch: Crowdmade is doing a little back end reorganizing of their suppliers, which means we're going to be updating the physical products – same designs, same mugs and stickers, but new shirts and tank tops, plus women's cut of shirts/tanks which we're very excited to have available.
And following on some flash-polling we conducted a few months back, we're still working on the pin stand product. It's a very new thing for Crowdmade to make, so no word on when that'll be ready, but most likely spring? Maybe?

Videos! Of course, our videos are always the main focus of the channel, and we've got some really fun ones in the works. This Friday Red's got her massive mega-compilation for The Heroes of Greece, and at the end of the month we're doing a Halloween special on The Mummy, looking at the whole history of Egyptomania and mummy stories from Herodotus to The Mummy (1999) with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. It'll also be the first mainline Myth AND History AND Literature combo-pack with Red and I both discussing the topic. We'll have Trope Talks on Heroic Sacrifices and Timeloops, Detail Diatribes on Castlevania, Batman Caped Crusader, and Red's ranking of Mummy movies (we're recording that one on Friday, I for one am very excited), then we'll have a historical jaunt to probably Aotearoa New Zealand and probably Cyprus, but I'm still waiting on books so I might have to adjust what comes first. We'll also have a History-Makers on St Augustine in there for a little Christmas-adjacent fun, and as a holiday gift to myself I think there's one more architecture video in the cards this year.

One last bit of logistics: You may recall from earlier in the year ( https://www.patreon.com/posts/update-on-plan-109970365 ) but Patreon is changing everyone to per-month subscriptions instead of per-creation, so we're going to be switching everything over to the new monthly tiers in early January More info on that to come as we get closer.
