OSPod 98 After-After Show-Show!
Added 2024-07-24 13:00:14 +0000 UTCWe've had one, yes, but what about SECOND My Adventures With Superman AASS?
Comments
Hey, Blue, if you like Superman and Lois, you might like the 90s show Lois and Clark: the New Adventures of Superman. It's dated in some parts, but they had a similar "Clark and Lois work together as investigative reporters" dynamic. That show cemented in my head how the Clark/Lois dynamic should work when I was a kid, and it took until just recently for other Superman shows to get there again.

2024-08-10 03:29:18 +0000 UTCUnfortunately I think the creators said that bruce won't be showing up in this show

2024-08-07 13:38:47 +0000 UTCI think we need our core trio to go to Gotham, let Clark hang out with Bruce, Lois hang out with either Vicki or also Bruce, and Jimmy to come with them to go cryptid hunting just to be the only member of the core cast not to meet the Bat-Man. He does meet Bruce Wayne though

2024-07-25 17:49:02 +0000 UTCFirst off, loved the season finale and loved your take on the season! Have you guys read the comic Superman Smashes the Klan? It has that very “Superman just being a good person and trying to make positive change in the world” vibe and I can actually hear Jack Quaid’s Superman in the dialogue. It also reflects a surprising real impact Superman had on fighting injustice that was fun to learn about!

2024-07-25 14:15:52 +0000 UTCSo this comment's more about something from the OSPod itself rather than the AASS but since the former doesn't have a comment section, here we go. Just a random bit of trivia for the mention of the Assassin's Creed film. Apparently the protagonist's mother (the protagonist of the modern-day section of the film, to be clear) was played by Essie Davis, the woman who played Phryne Fisher in *Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries*. And while this may not be tigers playing with meat-filled pumpkins, here's some related enrichment in the form of big cats playing with *gigantic* balls of catnip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5rh1HX7K88

2024-07-25 10:56:04 +0000 UTCI didn't know that a Batman/Superman crossover where Bruce Wayne hires Clark Kent to work for him while Clark desperately tries to hide his powers the entire time was something I wanted but now that it's out there I absolutely need to have it.

2024-07-25 04:34:54 +0000 UTCThe "I will trust stories to be honest with me" speech gave me flashbacks to a year ago, when Good Omens Season 2 came out and half the fandom was trying to conspiracy-board reasons why the parts they didn't like were going to be retconned away... 😓

2024-07-24 21:06:24 +0000 UTCSo Braniac was the King Herod to Krypton’s Judea. Unfortunately, this makes Clark a Jesus allegory because he was sent away to escape Brainiac.

2024-07-24 16:21:51 +0000 UTCI mean they have a Hank Henshaw kicking around so I'm curious on how they're going to do Cyborg Superman

2024-07-24 15:47:44 +0000 UTCI still wanted Brainiac to stand over a defeated Superman and Supergirl with his arm outstretched, then we see a flash and Brainiac recoils with a Batarang in his arm, and we see Batman close to the ceiling, clinging to the wall, which gives Superman the chance to strike back, but when Supes looks to see who saved him, Batman's gone. THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN, DAMMIT!!
