EVE Online Q&A Question Collection
Added 2024-03-14 02:33:12 +0000 UTCHey everyone! One thing that I haven't forgotten about is catching up on Patreon rewards, and one of those things is Q&As! If you have a question about the EVE Online Down the Rabbit Hole, leave them here. If a question isn't suitable or we can't answer for one reason or another (sometimes people have spoken to me in confidence), I'll let you know so that you have the opportunity to ask another.
Please leave your question as a comment on this post.
I, Ryan, and Arcaxon will all be answering questions, so they can be directed at any of us.

Sorry for the late question, not sure when these submissions are closing This might be a bit out of scope, but as someone who's spent years researching the game, do you think EVE's trajectory as an MMO can even be replicated? Your video really gave me the impression that along with the monumental effort, there was also a whole lot of luck that went into getting the game off of the ground and maintaining a healthy playercount. It seems that every new MMO trying to fill the same niche, attempting to hand most of the game's economy over to players, fail within a few years (New World comes to mind, specifically)

(I'm sorry that this is going to be a bit long) This is the first time that we've seen excerpts from interviews that you conducted in the research and production of one of your videos, where you've mentioned previously that you avoided interviewing the subjects or people related to the subjects of your videos. Also, your other videos have been presented in a sequence that follows the perspective of someone keeping tabs on the situation as it evolves, whereas this video did not follow that format. You've mentioned in the past that these are two of the stylistic choices that you've made for DtRH that you felt committed to. Does the change for this video (which you've mentioned will be following into this next video that you're currently making) mark a deviation simply due to the nature of the subject matter, does it indicate a change in trajectory for the rest of DtRH, or does this mean that you are simply broadening the range in the different storytelling tools you are choosing to use for this channel? Or am I reading too far into it?
