Amazons. Hazard: Magical Girdle.

We’ve been talking a lot about the Amazons in our recent publications. According to Greek mythology, they were a tribe of women warriors. They lived far from other people and never let anybody come close to them, especially men.

How did they survive and refill their population? There are different methods mentioned in legends. Some say they stole little girls, others say they were sneaking into the cities and secretly gave themselves to men to get pregnant. They kept female newborns and gave back the boys.

That’s not really important because in my story the Amazons live on the isolated island, which you won’t find on any map. You will learn it from the game. For now, I won’t tell you why they don’t have to care about their population anymore. This is the matter of the second chapter.

The Amazons had a queen called Hippolyte. Ares, the god of war, gave her the girdle that signified her authority as a queen. That girdle was the Heracles goal when he was performing his ninth labour. Here is a little spoiler for you: Odysseus is going to get that girdle too.

Yes, his employer has found evidence that the Amazons really existed, so did the Girdle of Hippolyte. How could Odyssey refuse a chance to find the artefact that everybody thought was just a myth? Of course, he couldn’t. That’s why main character is going to be surrounded by the Amazons.

And what do you think they do with a man who has sneaked inside their camp?
