Thank you so much for your fantastic site, this isn't the first time that I've used graphtreon.

I'm doing a livestreamed reading of it tomorrow. I think it's significant enough.

Well just keep doing you, I've yet to be disappointed. I saw the spoony video was almost 40 minutes and thought "no way I can watch this in one sitting." Then it was 40 minutes later and I had happily ignored my homework.

Not Spoony in particular, but he was among the content creators I had seen overpromise on his Patreon reward tiers. He was a nightmare scenario, certainly, but I felt like I had the presence of mind to not make the mistake to such an extreme degree. I mostly used visual artists as models, since I see so many of them burn out on recurring rewards. Also I just generally prefer to not promise and simply create. I made this mistake during the creation of this video, giving dates that kept getting pushed back. Obviously I'm still learning. =P

Well, the “Change the Channel” document about Channel Awesome just went live: https://t.co/BaDhfpGfMl TL; DR: Mismanagement, sexism, sexual harassment, negligence, and shady behavior (to quote Allison Pregler’s tweet about it). Noah has only a small role in the document, but it gives an impression of the kid of jackassery he had to put up with at Channel Awesome.

I noticed a point in the video was that his over-promising on Patreon rewards took away from time spent on his videos. And in a lot of your updates you're usually pretty specific that you don't want to over-promise to take away from your videos. (I'm a fan of that sentiment, btw) I'm wondering, were you thinking specifically of spoony when you mention this? Or is it more of a general dislike of over-promising, that happened to come up during the making of the video? Love your work as always.

This was an excellent video. I also loved Spoony's good content back in the day. The Patreon graph's shown were from my site if anyone wants to see them: https://graphtreon.com/creator/spoonyexperiment

I was a huge Spoony fan in his glory days. It is sad to see someone like him just spiral down and everything suffering. Besides his earlier videos, the other good thing he did was introduce the world to Brad Jones aka the Cinema Snob.

After watching this I went to Mr Metokur's videos on the group and I have to say I appreciate you so much more as a content creator now. Your videos have humanity, his were just so abrasive

Yay looking forward to this!

Wow Fredrik this was amazing. Sat on the edge of my couch the whole time. I had heard that Spoony had really fallen apart in the last couple of years but the information was so tough to find, and unreliable. I am constantly in awe of your talent and ability to put things together in such a convincing manner.

Fantastic job on the video. Considering the length, research, and quality I think it was released pretty quickly. You have my continued pledge.

Yaaass! I'm fully erect seeing this.

Awesome job on this video! Your thoroughness and clarity is always appreciated, and it makes it easy to follow for people who have never heard of the subject, or for difficult or strung out timelines. I've also noticed your tendency to approach each subject from an unbiased position even from the beginning of the series. This was an interesting watch and I look forward to your future vids :)

Fantastic video, Fredrik! It’s well-paced, thoroughly-researched, and makes good use out of the video clips. Well done. I was in high school during those TGWTG days. I watched those shows religiously, unknowing of their amateurishness or poor humor (a lot of it aged poorly). My attempts to follow the various creators waned during college, and I had no idea of Noah’s bad situation. He’s a perfect case study of how mental illness can impact video production and behavior on social media. P.S., A bunch of former Channel Awesome producers recently came together to air out their grievances on twitter and Tumblr with the hashtag #changethechannel. Here’s a link to their stories (many have been public knowledge for years, while others took time to come out): https://www.resetera.com/threads/the-long-drama-of-channel-awesome-doug-and-rob-walker-and-ceo-mike-michaud.29873/
