In short, nowhere near where I wanted to be, and at this point I feel like I owe everyone an explanation.
The good news is that this represents the hardest material to edit, so it's smooth sailing from here on out. But last week, I couldn't bring myself to open the editing program on Thursday or Friday.
I mentioned a while back that there was a personal issue that had cropped up, and that I didn't want to speak about it futher. However, as the people supporting me, I think I owe you an explanation, since this is largely why this episode has taken so long even considering the other circumstances. My fiancee and I split, and it's been difficult to focus on work. I'm through the worst of it, though, and I'm ready to close out this episode this week. I won't go into further detail except to say that it was amicable, and we're still good friends.
On a lighter note, I drove a 9 1/2 hour round trip to get upgrades on my hurdy gurdy, including pickups, so expect some music on The Other Channel with it sometime after the new Down the Rabbit Hole goes up. I also recorded footage from my visit to my luthier's workshop, and I'll post a short vlog about my visit. (Again, once this DtRH is done)
I'll post one last update on this episode as soon as the editing is done. Again, thank you so much everyone for being so patient with me through this. You all have been the best. I'm ready to rip through this year with some of the best content that I can manage, and I can't wait to see what all of you think.
