I Need Your Opinion!
Added 2017-02-21 19:18:38 +0000 UTCA couple of months ago, I decided to eschew my added backer benefits and reduce them down to just the $1 tier, since what I wanted to provide took too much time; I found myself writing and recording for backer benefits rather than working on the thing for which people came in the first place.
I'd like to add some higher tiers again, but I want your opinions on what you want to see. I have a couple of ideas: I could provide a short video with extra commentary on the topics covered and include some stuff I couldn't fit in the DtRH. I could also save some of the outtakes from my recording sessions, since some of them end up really, really goofy. Whatever I do, the tiers would probably be very low. I doubt I would go over $5 for anything that didn't take significant extra effort.
If you have your own ideas, please let me know! Whatever it is, it shouldn't be too time consuming so it won't get in the way of making the core content.

Some behind the scenes might be good and not require too much extra time and resources. The inspirations for your topics, your setup, how you prepare, outtakes etc

I ended up dropping all of the other reward tiers until I could figure out just what I wanted to do for them, something worthwhile but that would be a small time commitment. I promised myself I wouldn't let backer rewards get in the way of content again. I agree with you on the ideal of Patreon. Also, glad you're liking them! Hopefully, if I make the right moves, I won't need too much of that luck.

Patreon funding should give the creator freedom to pursue what he wants to do instead of forcing him or her into fullfilling rewards. Have seen it on a lot of channels that offer elaborate rewards that they can not keep on a regular basis and they feel guilty about it. Patreon should free the artist of creating content for a specific group, be it advertisers or high reward patreons.
