Do you know what is one way to "establish structures in the here and now that we want to live in" ? Getting on the fediverse AKA "mastodon. No one listens to me because I'm a nerd but I'm RIGHT. We need to change the way we use social media and the internet and leftist content creators, leftists with platforms need to TEACH and lead the way. I'm watching black twitter get left behind as all of academic twitter has vanished for the fediverse. All the science people, the math people, the programmers and alt internet folk are GONE from twitter and we are in a betterspace now. And that space is better tech, but there are NOT enough poc here benefiting from this new way of communicating. I've been in overdrive doing everything I can to spread the word and teach, but I'm not some big popular person who everyone listens to. Only people who like ants and math listen to me and those people are already in the fedi. We need YOU FD. We need your help gotdammit. There is a narrow window when this could work when we could upend the whole system and no one seems to even realize it!
