All my Chinese girl.... friends -- they all do this (using the apps to alter their image -- not scam laoweis into thinking they are other people)-- and some of them are super attractive already. And the app makes them look like aliens (and they all think its soooo amazing). Unbelievable that this tech is such a big part of their culture here.

Times may have changed online, but I met my wife on a Chinese dating site around six years ago. I travel regularly to China, that makes a difference. I met her after a couple months, not a couple years, I don't know how anyone could do that. And just use common sense. If they won't talk to you on the phone or video conference, forget it.
