Japan did some well in this area, they have old building dating back 1200 years and still looks great. And maintenance for personal property are also non-exist, my relative’s houses are 100% belong to them, but still no maintenance, just part of the culture. This changes quite a bit in oversea community, for there are HOA govern the property maintenance standard.
