@Billy. I just said that we wired 15K out from China to Sweden without and problems what so ever. My wife wired to me. Bank to bank.
2016-11-02 13:47:07 +0000 UTCMy wife is Chinese and I am a Swede. Recently it was totally fine to make a bank transfer with IBAN + BIC/Swift codes from China to my bank. She is moving here and wants to bring her assets here. It is doable. There are questions asked if you transfer more the about 15000USD (translated from Swedish currency). So we did that and will continue until everything is over here. So I can't see why you need to go to HK? Why not transfer money to your wifes account who then can, as a Chinese citizen, transfer money abroad. Do not complicate things. :)
