2024-04-19 06:39:31 +0000 UTCOMG! Yes to King Kong 1976! I first saw it in the 1970's at a friend's house. They had it on video cassette (I forget if it was Beta, or VHS). The VCR was as big as a mini-fridge.

As a woman, what I always liked about Hammer is that they used slightly older adult women in their movies, I don't think they would remake this movie today with someone as old as Ingrid Pitt who was like only 33 or 34 at the time. This would include Barbara Shelley, Jennifer Daniels, Melissa Stribling and of course, Hazel Court. Today all these parts would be played by 22 year olds who look 17.
