He got rid of the necklace ripping thing too because everyone hated that. Momo was the best dancer and a favorite of the trainers so there was no way he was going to let her go.

So in retroperspect its good that this happened. Also apparently Momo went straight to the practice room after this episode, this showed how super hard working she is/was and didn’t want to give up. JYP clearly didn’t want to eliminate Momo here, I think from here on he wasn’t a fan of fanvotes on survival shows anymore.
