They was wildin with the wardrobe and bg songs especially knowing a majority of em were still minors lol. Huge contrast after their debut especially that long "cutesy" stretch from Cheer Up to What Is Love? eras

2021-05-22 11:51:59 +0000 UTCA small comment i want to make: 1. Some girls were basically set in stone to debut from the beginning, if they dont flop in this show. Other girls never had a chance from the beginning because they were too young. If you were not one of those "set in stone" girls you really had to impress JYP to make it into the group. 2. Sixteen was not only a survival show, it was a variety show aswell. It was meant to attract fans and gave the new formed girlgroup a strong fanbase from the beginning. It was intentionally made rough like this, so the viewers would bond with the girls and become fans.
