I bet everyone recognizes the artwork, but as our ongoing tradition dictates, I just wanted to share the full cover of Volume 5 with you on Patreon :) For collection purposes, I guess. Not everyone is in our Discord :)

2022-05-30 21:16:27 +0000 UTCIt may just be me but I’m not sure why anyone would expect “realistic” armor in a story that has magic and realm hopping capabilities. There may be argument that she isn’t wearing some kind of body suit beneath her armor to help protect her skin, but that isn’t the point of the cover is it? Miria doesn’t even have armor, and now that I think about it neither does Selene, since they use magic, which we can probably safely assume Brynn does as well. Sylvia is the only one of the group that wears any type of full body armor, let alone clothing. Frankly we don’t even know if the picture is her 100% battle ready. It is literally a single picture of a warrior Valkyrie (sp?) in the sky with her weapon…. with a gentle smile. Even if it is her actual armor, her arms, shoulders, and chest are protected, arguably the most exposed with that type of weapon. Dunno….. So many things to consider about why their armor is the way it is lore wise, I don’t understand focus on a single art piece, as a single character depiction, outside of battle, as being unrealistic. That’s just me though.

2022-05-29 15:28:22 +0000 UTC"Boob armor" exists and has existed. She's a Berserker, focusing on agile movements while already wearing quite heavy armor. Her initial design was just leather straps but I wanted something more realistic. Even her armored belt was ordered to be increased by me to cover more of her stomach as it was initially not there to be more "appealing". Various people have various views on armor and to me, she is not part of the "sex sells" strategy. I prefer my characters on a more practical side, depending on their nature, what should have been more or less conveyed through their designs (eg. TWS covers). They are quite heavily mild when compared to the "genre" usuals but I've never really wanted to go with the whole overly seductive cover baits.

It kinda turns me off the artwork. I get that sex sells, thats part of why im here, but let the armored girls be armored

2022-05-29 09:43:25 +0000 UTCI think this already counts when considering the usual ones :v I didn't want Bryn to end up in a bikini or something. In a perfect scenario, she would have something close to what Aisha had in her art but I wanted Bryn to have her own style.
