THEORY PRACTICE - EXERCISE 4

This video is part of a small series I've done based on practice and building complicated ideas from the ground up.

Now we're looking at how to get the whole fretboard under your fingers. It does take time, but using the tips in this video will for sure help you see improvements! The 5 positions of the pentatonic are incredibly useful. Make sure to learn them all over the fret board!

The fundamental idea of practicing these is to slow it down to a speed where YOU CAN'T MAKE A MISTAKE.

Then from there, you build it up. If you're making mistakes you're playing too fast.

Once you have it down the new goal is to practice the lick 5 times in a row and it has to be perfect for you to move the speed up. This means you will start at a realistic tempo and build a solid foundation for these ideas!
