Video guide for KCD2 VR mod

I'm having the same issue. An update probably broke it.

Alexander Rosen

Is it just me, or is this broken right now? Whenever I load into it, everything is wacky. Turning my head makes it go all over the place and also it's flickering and double visioned.

Joel Folgner

What file do you edit or delete to get back the default resolutions if you wanna play in 2d? I already know what to do to that one driver, but the crazy resolutions just for vr are a different issue.

Sean Hanlon

no sirve, pague solo para jugar esto y no puedo.

Anyone trying to come back to KCD2 recently? The mod is not working for me. It has a critical error at launch. Is it just me?

I just finished KCD2, I took my time. What a joy. It's on the scale of the regretted RDR2. A huge thank you to Luke and Brandon for all this. We need you, please continue

Hi Brandon, thanks for all of the great support! I'm wondering how I can go about disabling the mod for KCD 2, I tried to rename the Realrepo folder to "Realrepo_" as per the Doom instructions, but REAL VR still seems to launch in flat mode. The main issue is I can get back to my 2560x1440 resolution. What am I doing wrong here?

Adam Di Prospero

The game will use two different aspect ratios depending on how you set the resolution in game. If you are using the PPD slider to get a 1:1 resolution some things like the map/menus/subtitles may be cut off. The custom resolutions Luke added in the game's settings are the appropriate aspect ratio to stop the from happening.

Brandon(Post Maester)

I set resolution 1600x1200 and window mode but after I set resolution in mod menu to 2700x2700 map is not visible in full.

What headset? If Quest, are you using VDXR in the streamer app and then Oculus runtime in the REAL overlay? Auto should be Oculus, it will tell you what you are using under the dropdown. What kind of fps are you getting while the game is active? In the overlay tab of the REAL overlay is a box you can check to see your fps while playing. What rendering mode are you using?

Brandon(Post Maester)

I couldn't get the game to run properly on a 4090 no matter what i did. There's this constant light flickering and stutter when looking around and this was using Virtual Desktop. Performance wasn't great and i couldn't move my mouse around the overlay after changing the graphic settings.

You should still be able to fast travel as far as I know. You just pick the blue icon of the town or whatever and it will give you the option to fast travel. If not, the next release version should fix it. I fast traveled when I was making the video but I had a version with the fix that is coming. Lockpick UI is also broken because of the recent update. Fix should get that working correctly as well. Hopefully coming this weekend.

Brandon(Post Maester)

I'm facing couple of strange bugs: 1. I can't fast travel. No idea how to select the point to travel with controller, seems like "real vr" mouse does not help here 2. lockpicking UI side is jumping all the time getting bigger and smaller. and it makes it difficult to pick the lock

Mikalai

It should go away when you close the REAL overlay.

Brandon(Post Maester)

I saw mods claiming they fix this in 1.3 on nexus. I guess that’s official version bug

Mikalai

I noticed an object flickering issue in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 after the 1.3 patch. Notably, barrels and carts with hay flicker in Kuttenberg. I switched back to v1.2.4, and the flickering was gone. I wonder if that is a known issue and whether we can expect a fix any time soon πŸ€“ Thanks! πŸ™‡β€β™‚οΈ

Is there a way to hide cursor? Whem I'm using right touchpad to turn around fast I see small cursor with "realvr" word near it. Can I disable it?

Mikalai

I'll check it out later. What headset are you using?

Brandon(Post Maester)

So "Mono" mode seems like not working correctly in KCD2. It blinks with black all the time.

Mikalai

Yeah, it is a super immersive game in VR :)

Brandon(Post Maester)

This game is amazing in VR

Do you have to go with a laptop over a PC? You will almost always get better performance out of a comparable PC over a laptop, plus you can usually get better PC hardware for your money vs a Laptop. If you need a laptop for other things and you already have one. I'd recommend using the old laptop for those things and grab a PC for VR. I don't know what specs your current laptop has, sorry if you already posted them. So that could be a really nice upgrade but 8gb of VRAM and it being a laptop GPU is still going to be really limiting in high end VR.

Brandon(Post Maester)

Dear Brandon! I downloaded the Hogwarts Legacy VR mod, but my laptop isn't really able to deal with it, even with your help (that I would like to thank again). Now I would like to buy a new laptop, but not sure what specification is affordable but still enough to play it smoothly I have the chance to buy an ASUS TUF GAMING A15 laptop with this features: - CPU: AMD R7-7735HS/BGA - RAM: 2*16GB DDR5 - RTX 4060 8GB - 1,5 Tb M.2 SSD What is your opinion? Will this be enough? Thank you for your help in advance.

Lenzo

Not sure how to make it work with steam vr, getting a double vision though I've changed the render to openxr

Luai Akhdar

It is easier to run than Indy or Avatar :) I can get really solid performance on my 4090 no problem πŸ‘

Brandon(Post Maester)

I am curious to try but worried my 4090 will melt
