What is your preferred VR headset?
Added 2024-09-24 18:20:17 +0000 UTCI'm always working to expand compatibility across different headset models and brands, but it's become impossibly hard to even own most of the headsets available on the market, let alone thoroughly test the mods on each one of them.
So, in order to prioritize efforts, I'd really like to know what is your go-to headset for playing the R.E.A.L. VR mods. Don't list here all the headsets you own: just the one(s) that you are using with the mods, or those that you would prefer to use if only they were compatible.
Example: if you own a Rift CV1, a Pico 4 and a Valve Index, and you're currently using the Valve Index to play my mods, but you would gladly use the Pico 4 if the streaming software was fixed to offer full compatibility for the new VFOV and HFOV optimizations (although you wouldn't choose to use the CV1 because you don't like it anymore), select the Index and Pico 4 options from the poll, but don't select the CV1.
Update: I can no longer edit the poll, but let's say that the "Pimax Crystal Light" entry also applies to other Pimax Crystal models, while other Pimax families like the 8K go in the subsequent entry.

They are already optimal so there is nothing to optimize :) That is why they are greyed out.

2025-03-04 18:29:56 +0000 UTCWhy is there still no VFOV and HFOV support for Pico4 with Virtual Desktop? The tick boxes are still grayed out while Pico got 3rd place in the pole. I was hoping to see by now what improvements it offers. What gives?

2025-02-26 20:32:58 +0000 UTCEven though it is a laptop, so the hardware is less performant than desktop equivalent, that should be able to run things pretty well. You have the FOV optis and DLSSS that you can use now so with Quest 3 it should look pretty good. Of course, I have no idea what the power draw is for your system, and I don't know how the 4090 mobile version compares to the 4090-desktop version exactly but I'd expect that you could run it at least fairly well. Just make sure to keep it plugged in and disable any integrated graphics and possibly any kind of game optimizing software. I'd be really surprised if you couldn't get pretty good quality on that hardware though.

2025-01-10 21:00:47 +0000 UTCWant to try out the Cyberpunk Mod but not sure how well it will run on my laptop. I have a i9-14900HX 32 GB Ram RTX 4090. Any thoughts? Will be using an Oculus Quest 3

2025-01-10 15:35:23 +0000 UTCMake sure you have the Meta PC app downloaded on your system so it has the Meta dll's available to use Pimax compatibility mode. You will want to use Oculus runtime in the REAL overlay dropdown if it does not default to that on Auto. You will also probably need to disable the HUD mipmap option in the REAL overlay or the RealVR.ini file. If it crashes when you try and change the game resolution, you may need to adjust the resolution in that same file under Forcedres as well.

2025-01-09 01:32:28 +0000 UTCversion 16_0_1: Hi Brandon, i just bought a membership and did the setup for CP2077 (GOG version) and my Pimax Crystal and PimaxXR. Unfortunately i was not aware that PimaxXR and REAL mod do not really work together. Was this mentioned somewhere? Instead Oculus libary should be used as mentioned in the overlay. What do I need to do? PimaxXR is not playable. Thx much for your feedback!

2025-01-08 18:05:44 +0000 UTCYeah, they sure are. Not upgrading again until I can get a DisplayPort Oled high-res headset with really good lenses. No more compromises!! How does one "red" the Huds??? :)

2024-11-06 14:31:32 +0000 UTCWe can't support it anymore because of the DMCA. I have installed it and played it recently though and I just used files from a YouTube video to do so. Someone said they were able to install the latest mod version, and it ran and installed successfully so I of course had to try and validate that claim. It doesn't work with the current version or any recent version of REAL. I am pretty sure I just used the files from Beardo Benjo's vid. I will link it here for you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0v1UnLWNC5g&t=214s Flat2VR discord should have a channel dedicated to this and you can ask questions there or get more detailed help probably. Would be so awesome to have an updated GTAV mod with the current mod version, but never going to happen :(

2024-11-04 23:03:37 +0000 UTCGood afternoon. I know that I am late. I'm not a very tech savvy person. I'm interested in playing GTA in VR. I have looked around and ran into walls stopping my progress, either by way of scam, overly complicated installs, viruses, and so much more. So, I've decided to come straight to the source. Can you help me with my issue?
