Where is the Pause key?
Added 2021-05-25 13:45:33 +0000 UTCSo, about 1 in 5 support requests asks about the mysterious Pause key on the keyboard which activates the mod overlay. Is it 'O'? Is it Escape? Is it the Start button on the gamepad?

Tongue in cheek, I know. Remember that the game window must be in focus if you want keyboard commands to reach it.

It's not pulling down on the joystick, it's both triggers on the gamepad! Usually in laptops the Pause/Break key is accessed using Fn. The manual for your PC should have instructions. In alternative, you can also edit the RealVR.ini file with Notepad and find the [INPUT] section: in the line KeyOverlay=19,0,0,0 change 19 to the virtual key code for the key you want to use. 2021-12-20 18:39:11 +0000 UTCThe video was fun but it did not clearly state where/how to use the pause key on gaming notebooks. I'm using a Razer computer and I can't seem to get it to work and the "pulling down" on the joystick is not working either for Horizon. Any suggestion, please?

2021-12-20 18:10:51 +0000 UTCThat's correct, at times you might notice a slight shimmer around characters, trees and/or close objects. It's due to the fact that TAA as coded in the game is not aware of my stereoscopic camera, so it can fail to find good temporal matches around occlusions. Perhaps I'll be able to fix it during the next few weeks/months, or perhaps GPUs of the future will be able to run RDR2 with MSAA at VR resolutions without going all chug-chug :-) For now a work around is to increase the resolution if your card can keep up, the shimmer is much less evident at high resolutions

2021-05-27 12:04:17 +0000 UTCOnce you manage to bring up the overlay the first time, you can change the shortcut key from the "Overlay" tab (click the "Overlay key" box) to something that makes more sense for your keyboard!

2021-05-27 10:08:45 +0000 UTCI had trouble locating the pause key on my tenkeyless keyboard and finding the keys while my headset was on was going to be quite a chore anyway. Also hitting both triggers on my xbox controller has never worked for me either. I finally just switched to airlink's virtual desktop and use the virtual keyboard to hit pause. (in case you've not used the virtual keyboard, there is an icon in the lower right corner of the virtual desktop to bring it up)

Perhaps I don't know how to use this patreon interface but it seems horrible for use as a forum. For example even though I know there are a set of comments regarding the "shimmer" around objects but I can't find them again for the life of me to review for new updates or add anything I've noticed on the topic (for me the "shimmer" or ghosting is most noticeable anywhere both eyes don't see the same object - things look perfect if I set it to mono vision).

You could do a survey with possible games that you will work on next and the community could vote on what your next project options are? Maybe list the games you actually want to work on as options As doing games you have no interest in is not going to be a passion project. IDK. Like cyberpunk 2077, Far Cry5 ,Rage 2 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Or whatever your next preferences are? I think that could be a really cool way to engage with your patreons and keep people engaged to continue to support you on here. Just an idea mateπ
