Chapter 58: What kind of person is the King?

While Jack was in his cold-focused ritual state, he neutrally stared at the King who had entered the panic room out of nowhere.

If he is going to kill me, there is nothing I can do about it anyways. I need to focus on dissolving this healing blueprint instead. I can do something about that, not this. Say something then ignore him.

“Hi King. I am sorry but I need to focus right now. Please wait a bit,” Jack said.

Then he sat down and closed his eyes and dissolved the mana blueprint.

“Papa! What are you doing here? I thought you were on Arland moon fighting?” Telepatian said.

“Oh yeah, I finished that war a few years ago. I just couldn’t be bothered to come back here and see your mom. She’s fucking driving me crazy. No offense, little man,” the King said.

“She only drops by once every half year anyways. When you’re not here she doesn’t care about me at all,” Telepatian said.

“Yeah yeah. Anyways, enough about that. I only came back because I heard you finally did something fucking cool! Fucking finally, always stuck up and spoiled mama’s boy. I didn’t know you were fun? I heard you broke out of the castle and used tax money to fund you and your little friend’s brothel rounds! Fuck yeah!” the King said.

Jack passively listened to the conversation.

It would appear I am not going to die. Focus on dissolving.

“This newbie is kinda cool. What a weird combination of skills. I never even thought about giving a worm focus and all the general mana skills. It really compensates for a lot. What a great ritual, that one,” the King said.

“I don’t like the ritual. He is so weird afterwards,” Telepatian said.

“You know you can just teleport his backlash away?” the King said.

“What? Really?”

“Duh, are you stupid? Everything psychological is biological. And everything biological is metaphysical. We are the masters of the metaphysical. Look,” the King said.

The King dramatically snapped his fingers, and Jack’s healing circle and his focus ritual plus its consequences disappeared. He did not do this out of the kindness of his heart. He was just getting bored and impatient at waiting and wanted to talk to Jack sooner.

“Hello the first human, what’s up?” the King said.

“Nothing much, just been chilling with your son. This is the chillest request I have ever gotten from the Missions menu. Super cool. All the other ones were shit. What is a dreamworld anyways?” Jack said.

“Oh that’s snail territory. Stay the fuck away from there. Those shits are hard to deal with. One of them caught me in a mental prison for a few decades which in the real world only lasted 2 seconds. That was a tough time, I’ll tell ya,” the King said.

“Was it a hallucinogenic one?” Jack said.

“What a stupid fucking question. All of them are hallucinogenic. Yo, did you get to pop your cherry or were you interrupted?” the King said to Telepatian.

“Ehm… I don’t know,” Telepatian said.

“Fucking hell. Too late now, your mom’s is probably back soon. And I’m not gonna be there for that shit. Why’d you even use imperial coins? if you’d just teleported normal crystals into your hand and used that no way you’d gotten busted, dumbass,” the King said.

“Papa, I don’t even know what normal coins looks like?”

“Your mom’s fault, not mine. By the way, what is this place anyways?” the King said, looking around the emergency room.

“Emergency room. Mom made it. She said not even the worst of demons can get in,” Telepatian said.

“It was very hard to get in, yes,” the King said.

“I’m bored, can we do anything fun? you’re the King right, you must be able to do some cool shit?” Jack said.

That was the first time the King had been challenged verbally in a few decades. Everyone was too scared of him for obvious reasons which Jack did not know.

Suddenly they were all teleported back to the courtroom.

“I absolve Jack of all his crimes. Do not try any bullshit like putting out indirect quests on him for revenge,” the King said.

Nobody protested.

Then they teleported again and all three of them were in the dryad gardens, the most beautiful place Jack had ever seen in his life.

“He is. What kind of person is your dad?” Telepatian said.

“I dunno,” Jack said.

There was an awkward silence.

“So, where you think he’s taking us?” Jack said.

“I have no idea. I’ve never left this city, or castle, pretty much. But I’m excited.”

The King was back.

“Sorry about that, I had to prepare a revival tether for Jack so I didn’t get the wrath of the system. Okay, let’s go!”
