“Bella!”Kate cheered as she wrapped her arms around Bella and swung her around in the air. It was now what Bella considered her standard greeting with Kate because the blond vampire did it so often. She didn’t mind the action as she truly did like Kate and found that even though they had seen each other less than 24 hours before she missed her. Bella also missed Tanya, Irina and her mothers. It had Bella wondering how she was going to go on the vacation she and her mates were planning without it effecting Bella emotionally. Not that Bella was to worried. She figured she would be so focused on Victoria and Rosalie she wouldn’t have time to miss anyone as that is what usually happened when the three of them were alone together.

“Kate put her down.”Tanya immediately grabbed Bella from Kate’s arms and put her on the ground.

“Bella are you alright?”Rosalie asked as she looked Bella over trying to find any injuries.

“I’m perfectly fine.”Bella assured her.

“I wouldn’t hurt Bella.”Kate was highly insulted that anyone would imply such a thing.

“You shouldn’t even be touching her.”Victoria was fighting the urge to rip Kate’s head off for touching her mate. The only thing stopping her being Bella would disprove and reattach it.

Irina slapped Kate on the back of the head.”You need to be careful you idiot because if you catch Bella off guard her gift might activate and hurt you. Do you want to end up like Dimitri and be unconscious for a week and a half before waking up?”

“That would never happen because just like I would never hurt Bella she would never hurt me.”Kate knew that Bella’s gift wouldn’t target her unless she went after Rosalie or Victoria. Something Kate wasn’t stupid enough to do.

“Kate’s right. I may not have complete control of my gift but I can sense other people and knew even before I got confirmation that Kate was the one who was holding me.”Bella told them.

“What do you mean you can sense people?”Tanya asked as she gave Bella a hug. She had missed her newborn terribly.

Bella released Tanya and gave Irina a short hug.“I don’t know how to really explain it but since I became a vampire I know how many people are in the room without even having to look around to count. I can even tell their identities without looking. They don’t even have to be in the same room as me. Like I knew the three of you were in here and that the queens are in Sulpicia’s office. I even knew this room was a library and if I concentrate I think I could identify every room in the castle and exactly who and what is in them.”

“What the fuck?!”Kate couldn’t even begin to imagine what it would be like to have a gift like that. With Bella’s shield and her offensive gift Kate would be unstoppable.

“Why didn’t you mention this before?”Rosalie would have appreciated knowing about Bella’s gift.

“Honesty we have been busy with other things and my gift hasn’t really been brought up. I didn’t even think to talk about it.”Bella was preoccupied with dealing with Emmett and Edward and spending time with her mates and hadn’t even really thought about her gift.

“I wonder if that is part of why you are shielding the castle inhabitants without trying.”Irina thought that Bella was probably sensing the area she could identify with her gift.

“We need to talk to Eleazar and the queens about this.”Tanya said.

“Actually we need to feed before we do anything.”Victoria was interested in Bella’s gift as well but Bella had gone too long without feeding.

“When was the last time you fed?”Kate asked.

“Since I woke up.”Bella told her.

“You need to feed immediately then.”Tanya was kicking herself for not taking better care of her newborn. Bella should have fed numerous times since then.”Let’s go to the queens and have them set it up.”

“I wish you would have said something sooner.”Irina didn’t like that Bella had been neglecting her needs.

“I didn’t even think about it until it was pointed out to me.”If Bella hadn’t been so sluggish she wouldn’t even waste time on feeding.

“Your control is very impressive.”Kate had never seen a newborn that wasn’t controlled by their bloodlust.

Tanya led the group out of the library where they were met by a contingent of guard.”Are you still going to feed from blood bags?”

“Maybe later I will try the animal diet but for now I’m going to stick to blood bags.”Bella didn’t really care what she fed from. The only reason she was willing to try animal was because it would obviously make Rosalie and Tanya happy and with them being her bond mates Bella wanted to make them happy.

“It’s good you are at least giving it a try.”Rosalie would prefer Bella drank from animals but knew that Victoria was likely going to encourage Bella to try hunting humans with her. Rosalie wasn’t going to push though because regardless it was Bella’s choice and Rosalie wouldn’t force her mate to do anything.

“Keeping your options open is important.”Victoria was still hoping Bella would be willing to go hunting humans with her. Stopping at Sulpicia’s office door she knocked. A minute later the door opened revealing Athenodora.

“Hello everyone. This is a nice surprise.”Athenodora hadn’t expected to see the group anytime soon as she figured Bella and her mates would be holed up in their room for at least a day if not more. The queen and her mates had only stopped their activities because they had work to take care of.

“Hello mother.”Bella pushed through the group and gave Athenodora a hug.

Athenodora happily hugged Bella back.”Hello sweetheart.”

“Dora let them in we want to see Bella.”Didyme called out from inside the office.

Athenodora held the door open.“Come in all of you and tell us the reason for this visit.”

“We have a couple things to talk about but the most important is that Bella needs to feed.”Tanya wanted Bella taken care of right away.

“When was the last time you fed?”Sulpicia tried to think of the last time Bella fed.

“After I was turned.”Bella told her.

“Shit.”Athenodora couldn’t believe that Bella hadn’t torn down the castle looking for blood yet.

“Dora tell the guards to bring blood immediately.”Didyme was feeling extremely guilty that she had ignored her daughter’s needs.

“Victoria and Rosalie also need to feed.”Bella wanted her mates taken care of as well.

“I’m assuming you want animal blood?”Sulpicia asked Rosalie.

Rosalie nodded.”I would prefer it.”

“Have them get some game for Rosalie to feed from.”Sulpicia was going to work on Rosalie’s diet as she didn’t want the Volturi princess consort to be an animal drinker.

“I will.”Athenodora said making her way to the door to give the guards their orders.

Sulpicia motioned to the furniture.“While we are waiting for that why don’t the rest of you come in and have a seat. Then you can tell us what else it is that you wanted to talk about.”

“First Bella come here and give your mother a hug.”Didyme held open her arms smiling when Bella snuggled into her.”I missed you.”

“I missed you to mom.”Bella did miss her mothers.

“Enough Di it’s my turn for a hug.”Now that the feeding issue was taken care of Sulpicia wanted to cuddle her daughter.

”It’s only been a few seconds you can wait.”Didyme wasn’t even close to being done holding Bella.

Bella chuckled as she pulled out of the hug.”I’ll come sit with you after.”

“Thank you sweetheart.”Didyme was going to have Bella sit on her lap.

“Come here.”Sulpicia pulled Bella down on her lap, held her close and burried her face in Bella’s hair taking in her daughter’s scent. It had an almost drug like effect making her relax instantly knowing that scent meant that Bella was safe. Pulling back she fixed Bella with a serious look.”Why didn’t you tell us you needed to feed?”

Bella shifted uncomfortably. This was the first time she had been the recipient of a stern mother look and she definitely didn’t like it.”I just didn’t notice until it was pointed out to me.”

“How could you have not noticed?”Athenodora asked as she took as seat in one of the visitor chairs. The sisters had taken the couch with Rosalie and Victoria sitting on the love seat and Didyme in the other visitor chair.

“Well the burn in my throat isn’t that bad and I don’t really have any cravings for blood so I didn’t even think about feeding. It was only because I got physically tired that Victoria and Rosalie realized I hadn’t fed.”Bella wouldn’t have even bothered if she wasn’t worried something would happen if she didn’t.

“Amazing.”Sulpicia wasn’t sure why she was surprised as this was just par for the course when it came to Bella.

“Yes it is. Now Cia release Bella so she can sit with me.”Didyme wanted her daughter back.

”I’m not done hugging her.”Sulpicia told her.

“I’m sorry mother but I promised.”Bella hated that she upset Sulpicia but she wouldn’t go back on her word.

Sulpicia huffed.”Fine but she sits with me next time.”

“Deal.”Bella gave Sulpicia a kiss on the cheek then made her way over to Didyme who pulled her down on her lap.

“Now what else did the group of you want to discuss?”Athenodora asked.

“We actually thought it would be a good idea to invite Eleazar to join us for this.”Tanya said.

“I’ll send for him.”Athenodora stood from her chair and went to the door to order the guards to get the man.

“While we wait for them tell us how you like your rooms.”Sulpicia wanted to know how Bella was settling in.

“They are very nice. Although we will have to replace the door to our bedroom.”Bella told her.

Seeing Rosalie’s sheepish smile Kate had a feeling she knew exactly what happened to the door.”Would Rosalie like to be the one who tells us what happened to the door?”

“I accidentally fell though it while it was closed.”Rosalie wasn’t going to tell anything to anyone least of all Kate who would tease her.

“How does a vampire accidentally fall through a closed door?”Irina wanted Rosalie to admit what happened as just like Kate Irina had a feeling she knew what happened.

“A bedroom door at that.”Athenodora said jumping in on the teasing Rosalie band wagon.

”It wasn’t her fault it was mine. I jumped on her and she wasn’t ready to catch me so we fell though the door.”Bella lied. She just didn’t want anyone knowing about her sex life.

“What exactly was your purpose for jumping on her? Were you playing a game of leap frog?”Tanya teased.

”It’s that what we are calling sex now because if we are I have a few pointers for the three of you on how to control how much damage you cause when engaged in it.”Sulpicia chuckled at the look of embarrassment on Rosalie’s face and the mortification on Bella’s.”What’s wrong Bella can’t handle your mother talking about sex?”

“Just the idea of you three having sex makes me never want to have it again.”Bella didn’t want to think about her mothers having sex.

Tanya laughed along with the rest of the room except for Victoria, Rosalie and Bella.”I actually think Bella may be serious.”

“Let’s move on from this topic.”Victoria didn’t want to even chance Bella not wanting to have sex.

“Yes let’s talk about how much fun it was to beat on Edward.”Rosalie didn’t want to talk about her sex life with anyone especially the queens.

“I still can’t believe you crushed his eye balls.”Kate was going to tease the triad about their sex life later.

“It was a fitting punishment for looking at Bella.”Didyme had enjoyed seeing Edward being beaten so badly.

“I think my favorite part was when Bella used her gift on him.”Rosalie thought Edward’s screams were the greatest symphony she ever heard.

“I loved the fact that Bella was blocking his gift.”Irina said.

“We need to figure out how Bella did it.”Sulpicia wanted to know so Bella could learn how to control it.

“Is Jane back yet?”Tanya asked.

Athenodora shook her head.”She finished with the newborn problem so we sent her to help check out the Cullen safe houses.”

“Have you had any luck finding anyone?”Victoria wished Jane was back so she could train Bella but understood that the witch twin was needed with the Cullen situation.

“We have taken 19 prisoners and gotten information on a few more safe houses and meeting places.”Sulpicia told her.

“I’m surprised Carlisle got one person to follow him let alone that many.”Kate wouldn’t have thought with Carlisle’s reputation he could get anyone to take him seriously as a leader.

“From the information we’ve gotten off of them is that as we suspected most of them are not loyal to Carlisle but loyal to Jasper and Alice. They are just using Carlisle, Edward and Emmett as their figure heads so they had someone to blame if the rebellion failed.”Athenodora said.

“Have we figured out Esme’s role in this?”Irina asked.

“It seems that she isn’t the meek housewife she pretends to be. She is actually a very vocal leader in the cause and seems to be on Jasper and Alice’s side. I don’t think she is mated to Carlisle because they general consensus is that when they win Esme will take a throne right next to Jasper and Alice.”Sulpicia was positive that Esme wasn’t Carlisle’s mate because if she was she would have been protective of him not willing to sacrifice him.

“Does Carlisle know about this?”Rosalie was pretty sure with Carlisle’s hatred of women that he would never allow Esme to be a leader in his movement.

“Carlisle doesn’t know about much. There was actually a huge fight about sending vampires to Alaska to capture Rosalie and Bella and the only ones who would actually go were ones that weren’t involved in Jasper, Alice and Esme. They figured that if they had to lose some of their forces they might as well be Carlisle’s.”Athenodora told her. Before anyone else could say anything there was a knock on the door before it opened and Eleazar and Carmen entered the room.

“Good Eleazar you are here. Come in we have much to discuss.”Sulpicia wasn’t pleased that Carmen was with the man but would put up with it so they could find out more about Bella’s gift.

“I assume we are here because you have questions about Bella’s gift.”Eleazar said as he entered the room and stood next to the couch the sisters were sitting on.

“Hello Eleazar, hello Carmen. How’s it been going hanging around the castle?”Bella asked the couple.

“Hello Bella. It’s been good. We have had a chance to catch up with some old friends but we have missed you and your mates.”Carmen had calmed down somewhat on her irritation of Bella’s bonds with the queens but still hoped to play some type of role in Bella’s life.

Didyme tightened her hold on Bella not liking Carmen in the room with her daughter.“We called you here because Bella has had some developments with her gift.”

“What developments would those be?”Eleazar was interested in hearing about Bella’s gift. He had been spending his time in the castle researching the archives for any record of anything related to it happening before.

“Bella tell him what happened when you used your gift on Edward.”Sulpicia thought that was a good place to start.

“When I used it on Edward it was the first time I chose to use it on my own whereas the other times it just happened naturally. When trying to use it I focused on how angry I was at him for all the things he did to me and Rosalie. Once I got really mad it felt like the anger split from my body. After I don’t know how long it stopped and I became dizzy and had black spots in my vision.”Bella explained.

“You became dizzy?”Eleazar had never heard of a vampire becoming dizzy from using their own gift.

Bella nodded.”If Victoria hadn’t caught me I would have collapsed to the floor.”

“When you used it on Dimitri did the same thing happen?”Eleazar asked Bella.

“No I didn’t feel anything like that once it was over. Nor when I used it on the other two guards.”Bella hadn’t felt any side effect when she used it the other three times.

“What do you think of that?”Victoria didn’t like hearing that Bella’s gift could hurt her. The whole reason they turned her when they did was to protect her from it.

Eleazar took a moment to think over everything.”I think that based on how Bella’s gift reacted when she was human and how it reacted to Dimitri and the other guards is that it is still ruled by emotion. Meaning that she will likely be able to control the intensity of it when she masters it. As to her getting dizzy and seeing black spots I think that happened because she is untrained. She doesn’t know how to properly channel her gift and it’s just bursting out of her and effecting her mind. Once she gets control I don’t think it will be as dangerous.”

“It’s until she gets that control that scares me.”Rosalie was worried what would happen to Bella in the future if she couldn’t get control of her gift.

“We really need to get Jane back here.”Athenodora was going to have to reorganize the teams to free up Jane and get her back to the castle.

“I could help too.”Kate said.

“In this case it wouldn’t work because even though your gift is metal you still have to touch someone to use it. Jane’s gift works the same as Bella’s in that they project it from their minds on their target.”Eleazar told her.

Bella didn’t like Kate’s crestfallen look.”There is still hand to hand combat you can help me with Kate.”

“Of course I’ll help you learn to fight.”Kate wasn’t going to miss out on that.

“I’ll be helping as well.”Athenodora wasn’t going to miss out on the chance to train her daughter to fight.

Bella cut Kate off before she could object.”We will have to work out a schedule.”

“You can do that later. Now why you tell us what you wanted to talk about when you came into the office.”Sulpicia wanted to know what other concerns the group had about Bella’s gift.

“Bella tell them what you told us when we were in the library.”Rosalie said.

“Since I woke up I can tell who and what are around me and in other rooms.”Bella told them.

“What do you mean by that?”Didyme asked.

“Like right now I can feel everyone in this room and identify them without looking. If I closed my eyes I could see like an outline of everything in here down to the cobwebs in the widow hidden under the curtain hanging on it. I can also tell that there a 12 guards outside the room 2 of them new as they changed out with the original two that walked us here. I even know exactly where Edward is and where the guards put his limbs.”Bella explained.

Athenodora stared at her daughter in shock.”Are you being serious right now?”

“Completely serious. I can prove it.”Bella stood from Didyme’s lap, walked over to the window and lifted up the curtain exposing the cobwebs she told them about.

“Shit.”Kate mumbled. She didn’t think when Bella told them about it that she would be able to sense the very small details.

“The guards should have cleaned that.”Didyme was not pleased seeing the cobwebs.

“We will speak to them later darling. Right now we have more important things to focus on.”Sulpicia told her.

“Yes like Bella’s gift. Eleazar what do you think of this?”Athenodora asked the man.

Eleazar wasn’t sure what to think.”I honestly don’t know. I’ve never even heard rumors about something like this being possible. I can only guess that it has to do with her shield. We heard about Bella blocking the castle from Edward’s gift. This may be part of that or it could be a part of physical shield. Without testing I won’t know for sure but I wouldn’t recommend triggering it until Bella learns control or it might hurt her.”

“We definitely don’t want that.”Tanya didn’t want Bella getting hurt at all.

“So what do we do in the mean time?”Rosalie like Tanya didn’t want Bella getting hurt.

“We be careful and try and make sure that Bella doesn’t get upset and no one attacks any of us.”Sulpicia didn’t know anything else they could do.

“I also think that we should put hand to hand fight training on hold. It might not be safe for Bella right now.”Victoria knew that something would likely trigger Bella if she was fighting.

“I hate having to wait but I understand why we have to.”Kate would prefer getting Bella trained to at least defend herself but knew it would be dangerous.

Another knock on the door interrupted them. Athenodora stood and made her way to the door opening it revealing a guard standing there.”What do you want?”

“We have the blood bags you requested along with a large buck.”The guard told her.

Athenodora looked over her shoulder.”Rosalie they have an animal for you to feed off of.”

“Thank you.”Rosalie stood from her seat and made her way to the door.

“Bella, Victoria they have your blood bags.”Athenodora took the 6 bags she requested and held them up.

“I would like to feed in our rooms.”Bella said.

“We aren’t done spending time with you.”Didyme didn’t want her time with Bella to end.

“Yeah one of the guard members taught me how to use the projector so we can watch some fights.”Kate wanted to spend more time with Bella as well.

“Once we finish in our room we will come hang out.”Bella wanted to get her mates alone again.

Irina cut Kate off before she could argue further.”Don’t even bother Kate. Bella may be well behaved but she still a newborn and is about to feed with both her mates. If they don’t do it in private we are going to get quite the show and before you make a comment remember we can’t upset Bella.”

“That’s no fair.”Kate grumbled.

“Irina makes a good point however. Bella is a newborn and knowing that we should let them have their privacy.”Tanya would like to spend time with Bella just like the rest of them but didn’t want to interrupt her time with her mates.

Victoria stood from her seat, grabbed Bella’s hand and dragged her to the door.“It’s settled. Come on Bella we are going to our rooms.”

“Don’t forget your blood.”Athenodora said as she held out the bags.

Victoria snatched them out of Athenodora’s hand and made her way into the hallway with a willing Bella behind her.”Rosalie grab the buck we are feeding in our rooms.”

“Alright.”Rosalie didn’t have to be told twice. She grabbed the buck and slung it over her shoulders and followed Victoria and Bella. She ignored the shouts of protest and goodbyes coming from Sulpicia’s office. Rosalie wasn’t concerned about hurt feelings for not properly saying goodbye. She had more important things to focus on. That being taking the buck on her shoulders and getting it and herself to their rooms where her mate was going to feed at the same time as her. It wouldn’t be the same as hunting together but feeding together was still an intimate act between vampires and Rosalie would happily do so in private with Bella and Victoria. Then they would likely fall back into bed. Rosalie would have to make sure to be careful this time and not break anything. The light teasing she got for the door was mortifying and she didn’t want to give anyone more fodder to pick on her. She wished she was less of a prude when it came to sex because she would love to have been able to tease everyone back. Maybe one day she would get the courage. Until then she would just enjoy the time she had to be naked with Bella and worry about the rest later.
