Match, Set, Love 9

“That was exhilarating.”Rosalie said from her seat in the restaurant in the ViP area of the arena that she was having lunch in with Tanya, Kate, Jane and Heidi. They had just finished watching Bella play from Bella’s family box and Rosalie had a great time. It was the first time that Rosalie had seen a professional sports match live and she hadn’t realized how exciting it was. She had been on the edge of her seat the entire time even knowing that Bella was most likely going to win. Rosalie had cheered along with the crowd after every point. A crowd that made the experience even better because they added to the excitement. Rosalie had a lot of fun and was looking forward to the Olympics as she knew that it was going to be even better.

“I know right. The first match we went to I got so caught up I was asked by security to quiet down.”Kate loved going to live matches because of how energizing it was to be a part of the crowd.”Even the match Bella lost we went to was a lot of fun.”

“Irina should be ashamed for teasing Bella like that.”Jane said.

“I thought it was brilliant.”Heidi would have done a lot more to tease Bella if she was Irina.

“You’re talking about the match Irina wore a revealing shirt at that Bella lost?”Rosalie wasn’t sure how she felt about her mate being so effected by someone other than her. Then again Irina was Bella’s mate as well. Bella having a second mate being something she had mixed feelings about. She wasn’t against the idea and she had always liked Irina but Rosalie was jealous that Irina already had an established relationship with Bella.

“Yeah it was great. Bella was so distracted that when the other girl served the ball to her it drilled her right in the stomach.”Kate laughed just thinking about it.

“Was Bella ok?”Rosalie asked.

“She had a horrible bruise from it and was extremely embarrassed but other than that she was fine.”Tanya had forbid Irina from dressing provocatively for Bella’s matches after that incident.

“At least you know if you want Bella’s attention Rosalie all you have to do is show a little skin.”Kate joked.

“And a lot of cleavage because Bella is definitely a breast woman.”Heidi chuckled when she saw Rosalie look at her own chest.”Don’t worry I saw Bella checking yours out numerous times.”

Rosalie loved being human but as she fell her cheeks heat in an obvious blush she cursed being able to have that reaction.”I wasn’t worried.”

“Sure you weren’t.”Heidi had a feeling Rosalie was going to start wearing tighter shirts from now on.

“I am looking forward to her learning about the second mate bond because I have no doubt the poor girl is feeling extremely guilty about her attraction to you.”Tanya knew that Bella would be punishing herself for even looking Rosalie’s way.

“If she feels the bond with Rosalie the same way she feels it with Irina then I have no doubt she feels guilty.”Jane was going to make sure to talk to Bella about it before they all went to bed. She wouldn’t say anything about the bond but she would talk to her about it being alright to be attracted to Rosalie.

“How much of the bond does she feel with Irina?”Rosalie wondered if Bella felt any of the bond with her.

“Bella told us the first time she met Irina that she was drawn to her and immediately trusted her. She said that she knew that Irina would never hurt her. She was only 14 at the time so she hadn’t really gotten a handle on her sexuality but she was attracted Irina and felt that she liked her a lot more than she was supposed to like a stranger. That all mostly confused her initially but when she came to live with us she realized that she was in love Irina. Something that she was embarrassed to admit because she thought that Irina saw her as a little sister. It wasn’t until Bella was 16 that Kate got her to admit that she was in love with Irina that Irina made a move.”Tanya told her.

“Do you think she feels the same with me?”Rosalie very much wanted Bella to feel the same way she felt about Irina about her.

“Based on the looks I saw and the way she actually interacted with you I would think she did.”Heidi said.

“What do you mean by that?”Rosalie asked.

“Bella only has eyes for Irina. She doesn’t even give anyone else a second glance and the girl has been around hundreds of vampires. Vampires that are otherworldly in their beauty. A few of which have propositioned Bella. Every time Bella doesn’t hesitate to tell them no. So the fact that I have caught her checking you out more than once says something. Also Bella doesn’t really talk to new people. She is extremely closed off to strangers because of having to deal with people trying to take advantage of her. Her talking to you shows that she is already comfortable around you.”Heidi had actually been surprised that Bella not only spoke in front of Rosalie but spoke directly to the young vampire.

“That is true. Getting Bella to talk to new people is like pulling teeth. Something that frustrates the queens because Bella is the Volturi princess and needs to interact with her subjects.”Jane had stepped in many times to help Bella get though conversations with people the queens had introduced her to.

Rosalie was happy it seemed that Bella showed signs of feeling the bond with her.”What are Bella’s royal duties?”

“Right now she doesn’t have many but the queens are desperate for her to be changed and publicly step into the role.”Tanya knew that the queens were also going to push for Bella to live in the castle after she was changed and had been preparing a compromise to bring to the queen when the time came. None of the Denali wanted to live in the castle but they weren’t willingly to give Bella up either so they would have to come up with a plan.

“She is mostly introduced to prominent vampires from other vampire territories.”Jane said.

“How do the queens explain her staying human?”Rosalie wondered how the queens justified keeping Bella human with the knowledge of vampires.

“The queens get away with it by explaining Bella’s tennis career. Though I honestly believe if Bella wasn’t as talented as she was they wouldn’t get away with it. That and Bella is constantly accompanied by guards so it isn’t like she is going to be able to tell anyone without them stopping her.”Heidi fully believed that the queens would get pushback if it wasn’t for Bella being so successful.

“A lot of the vampires Bella is introduced to have taken a big interest in her career and the queens receive messages of congratulations from all of them every time Bella wins. As a matter of fact the queens have invited a lot of them to an Olympic viewing party they are holding in the castle’s theater room where they are going to watch it live.”Jane wouldn’t be there as she was going to be at the Olympics in person because she was tasked with providing extra security for Bella.

“It seems Bella really wins people over doesn’t she?”Rosalie concluded.

Tanya nodded.”Not just vampires either. The humans are just as taken with her.”

“I guessed that based on how much she gets for her endorsement deals.”Rosalie didn’t think Bella would make a quarter of what she made if she wasn’t well liked by humans.

“I can’t wait to see what Irina negotiates for the Nike deal.”Kate was expecting Bella to make out like a bandit once Irina finished the negotiations.

“I’m hoping for some more shoes. I only have one pair left of her first release and I need some more to wear with different outfits.”Heidi wanted to keep that pair as a memento of Bella’s achievement.

“I was only able to find one of those pairs online that were in my size.”Rosalie was upset she only found the one pair because she wanted a couple. The shoes had been retired however and were no longer sold to the public. Luckily Bella’s other three pairs were still available. She snagged a dozen pairs of each of them.

“Well now that you are mated to Bella you can get any shoes you want from Nike in your size. I have a huge collection of limited edition sneakers that Bella has them send me before they are even released to the public. I don’t even ask for them they just show up now and the ones I don’t want I give to the guards.”Kate loved her sneaker collection so much she had an entire room in the house dedicated to it.

“It’s not only shoes she gets from Nike. She gets all kinds of clothes. I swear all the royal guard members wear are Nike items. That and Wilson gear. It isn’t unheard of for a few of them dress up in tennis outfits to include head and wrist bands.”Jane thought they looked ridiculous but they were supporting Bella so she didn’t make many comments about it.

“I find it hard to believe any of the royal guard dress up in tennis gear.”Rosalie wasn’t able to imagine it in her mind.

“They not only dress up they play tennis when they are human. Bella has actually given multiple lessons to all of us.”Heidi herself enjoyed playing the sport and was proud to be one of the best players in the royal guard.

“That’s crazy.”Rosalie definitely couldn’t imagine the royal guard playing tennis.

“You think it’s crazy now but once you start spending time with them it gets to be rather normal.”It took Kate some time to get used to it as well.

“You have to remember the guard are people just like you are. They just have jobs that give them a bad reputation. In reality they all have hopes, dream, plans for the future and a lot of them have mates. They are also fiercely loyal. Bella giving them the chance at real friendship and also giving them the chance to be human makes them loyal to her. That being the case they give her their full support and sometimes they go a little overboard with that support but they mean well.”Heidi knew that the royal guard was a little intense with their support of Bella but they would all give their lives for the human knowing full well that Bella would likely do the same.

“I guess when all I have heard is how ruthless and brutal not only the queens and the guards are by Carlisle, Edward and Esme it will take a little bit of time to change that way of thinking.”Rosalie had been taught from the moment she woke up to fear the queens. The trio had warned her to be careful around humans or the queens would have the guard kill her.

“Carlisle, Edward and Esme are stupid fools.”Jane said.

“Stupid fools we no longer have to deal with.”Kate was very happy they no longer had to deal with the Cullens.

“No but the queens will no doubt have to.”Tanya fully expected Carlisle and the other two to cause enough trouble that the queens will get involved.

“What do you think they will do?”Heidi asked.

“They seemed really fixated on Bella and when they get fixated on things it becomes their main focus in life. The last time I saw them this interested in something was when Carlisle heard a rumor that a tribe of aborigines in New Zealand had a member that had the gift to turn vampires human again. He had all of us travel to the country and we spent a decade looking for the woman only for Carlisle, Edward and Esme to come to the conclusion Carlisle had been lied to.”Rosalie hated traveling around that country because they had to spend most of their days confined to hotel rooms.

“I always wondered why you guys chose to live in such a sunny place.”Kate had thought it was weird for the Cullens to live somewhere the sun shined most of the time.

“We weren’t allowed to tell you why we really lived there because the trio didn’t want you knowing that something like us changing to human could be possible.”Rosalie told them.

“Of course they wouldn’t want anyone else knowing about something so important.”Jane was unsurprised that Carlisle, Edward and Esme wouldn’t want anyone to know the information.

“The would most likely want to control it and use the ability to gain power to eventually overthrow the queens.”Heidi said.

“It had been brought up many times since Carlisle turned Edward by them that the queens are doing a horrible job and how easy it would be to overthrow them. I mostly brushed off the topic because honestly who the hell would actually join Carlisle for anything. Especially if he was the leader of the rebellion.”Tanya would never follow Carlisle’s led on anything. Let alone into battle.

“I wouldn’t even follow his driving instructions.”Kate said.

“It is nice that I don’t have to deal with all their crazy schemes anymore.”Rosalie was very relieved she wouldn’t have to deal with the Cullen’s craziness.

“Those schemes will likely include trying to get close to Bella. I predict they will even try to follow her movements in person.”Jane was expecting that some if not all of the coven was going to get caught stalking Bella.

“If they follow her movements won’t they see us all as humans?”Rosalie asked.

Heidi shrugged.”What are they going to do if they do? The only way to find out anything would be for them to confront one of us and the guards won’t let any of them get close. Other than that they can go to the queens for answers but there is no way in hell they would tell them anything.”

“Plus we all have the block so Edward can’t get the information from any of us.”Kate wasn’t worried about them finding out.

“The only results of them knowing would be them contacting you as I and the rest of the family have already blocked their phone numbers and the guards would prevent them from coming on our territory.”Tanya like Kate wasn’t to worried about the Cullens finding out.

“I didn’t even think of the fact that they could still contact me.”Rosalie wondered if she should get a new cell phone and keep the other one just of the Cullens to contact her. Then she could leave it off and only check it when she wanted to. That way she could still use her phone without having to deal with them overwhelming her with texts and calls.”Do you think I should get a new number?”

“Putting you on our family plan was something I was going to bring up to you when we got home and set you up with all the things you need to take your place as a Denali.”Tanya told her.

“What things do I need to be a member of the family?”Rosalie thought the only thing she truly needed was new identification.

“Like we talked about before you will need new papers to put you at age 18. A new phone number would be good so that you can break away from all of the Cullens if you wanted to. Then there is the personal bank account we need to open and getting you a car that is in your name. Plus there is remodeling the property to add your own room and of course a proper garage for you to work on your project cars. I don’t think I’m missing anything else.”Tanya thought that was all the things she planned for Rosalie.

“You are going to do all that for me?”Rosalie was very surprised that Tanya was going so out of her way for her comfort. Carlisle never did and he was not only her coven leader but her sire.

“The phone isn’t that big of a deal because Bella is a spokesperson for the company and gets free service for up to 12 lines. We have used all but two because we were planning on using them if Kate or myself found our mates. If that happens it won’t be a big deal to pay for a phone bill. As for the bank account I know based on the fact that Carlisle doesn’t let any of you gets jobs or give you identification to make you old enough to open bank accounts that you aren’t that wealthy. I am firm believer in everyone having financial independence. Meaning everyone in our coven including Bella has access to a large amount of money. That way everyone can do what they want and don’t have to rely on anyone to do it.”Tanya was a firm believer in everyone having a choice on how they lived their lives.

“You’re right I only have about ten million dollars saved and Carlisle doesn’t know about it. It’s mostly the money that I don’t give to Carlisle that I make from selling the cars I fix up.”Rosalie wasn’t going to reject the offer for a bank account with her own money in it. She had craved her independence too much to throw away what was likely the only opportunity she would ever get to have it.”You don’t add on for me to have a room or garage though. I can easy use a guest room and the garage you have is plenty big enough for me to work in.”

“You need to have a space that is completely yours so you have a place you can go to relax and have privacy. We all do and it is only far that you do as well. As for the garage it’s actually a bit selfish of me to build one for you because I was hoping you would take over the maintenance of our vehicles. The Alaskan weather and terrain is hard on them and we are constantly having to get them fixed.”Tanya told her.

“I will gladly take care of your vehicles.”Rosalie would use it as a way to contribute to the family.

“Here are your meals ladies.”A nicely dressed waiter said as he and another well dressed man approached the table carrying trays with plates of food on them and started placing them on the table.

“Thank you.”Tanya leaned back to make room for the plate with a large stake on it being set in front of her.

“You’re welcome.”The waiter replied. After the final plate was on the table he put the tray under his arm.”Is there anything else I can get for you?”

“Can I have some more Pepsi please?”Rosalie had never had soda before and after her first taste she swore she would never drink any other kind of beverage again. Although Tanya told her wine was good as well.

“Be right back with that.”The waiter told her before leaving the table.

“Well dig in Rosalie I want to know what you think of loaded baked potatoes.”Kate liked watching vampires trying new food for the first time. She found most of their reactions hilarious.

“I’m looking forward to trying it.”Rosalie wasted no time digging in to the potato letting loose an obscene moan once she got her first taste.

“You definitely shouldn’t eat in front of Bella until the Olympics are over because Irina has a no sex until they are over rule in place.”Kate knew that Irina would likely do away with that rule as soon they got done with the qualifiers.

“The Olympics are over a month away.”Rosalie was a newly mated vampire. Sex with her mate had been the main thing on her mind since seeing Bella on tv.

“Irina won’t keep to it.”Heidi was sure Irina would cave.

“I’m surprised she hasn’t broken the rule already. Especially because she had Bella in a hot tub and we all know how much Irina loves Bella in a hot tub.”Kate had interrupted the couple many times while they were in Bella’s private hot tub. Well now it was Bella private hot tub because no one wanted to get in after all the sex she and Irina had in it.

“Let’s not talk about Bella and Irina in a hot tub while we are eating.”Jane wasn’t a prude she just didn’t like thinking or her best friend having sex.

“Yes let’s focus on our food. Bella’s going to be starting her post match interview and I want to be there.”Tanya said.

“Me too.”Rosalie had seen the prematch one and it reminded her of a circus. The reporters were somewhat out of control in Rosalie’s opinion shouting over each other to get their questions answered. Irina had actually stepped in and took control of the situation because no one would calm down. Some of the questions asked pissed Rosalie off and it was only Tanya’s presence that kept her from going after the reporters who asked them. Rosalie had been told that this was actually mild compared to what usually happened and that the Olympics were going to be a hundred times worse because there would be international press there as well. Rosalie wasn’t sure how she was going to handle that but was hoping that Bella would know about the mate bond by then and she would be able to help Rosalie calm down. Nodding her thanks to the water who set down a new glass of Pepsi Rosalie pushed thoughts of reporters and press conferences out of her mind. She was going to focus on enjoying her meal and worry about dealing with the rest later because she wasn’t sure when the next time she would human was going to be. That being something she needed to discuss with Tanya. She hoped it would be soon as she was enjoying the experience. Then again who wouldn’t after being changed into a vampire against their will?
