Death's Visit 12

“Well look who it is. The very four vampires that we were told kidnapped a grim reaper and are forcing it to take you to heaven.”Kate exclaimed her voice laced with humor. Rosalie immediately knew that Carlisle had called the Denali after Isabella had reassembled them. It was likely the first thing he did because Isabella only left to do it about a half an hour before they arrived. Rosalie was upset that her mate had left to do it because it cut in the limited time they had together as Isabella still had her reaper duties to attend to. Those duties being the reason she didn’t come back after dealing with Carlisle, Esme and Edward. Making her way over to the sisters who were standing in front of their home Rosalie gave Tanya a hug.

“Carlisle called you?”Rosalie guessed as she pulled out of the hug and moved on to hug Irina.

“Of course he did.”Tanya confirmed getting a hug from Alice.

“You wouldn’t believe all the crazy stories he told us.”Kate said hugging Rosalie next.

“I’m most curious to find out how you all became involved with a grim reaper.”Irina had thought grim reapers existing was the craziest part of the whole story.

“The grim reaper’s name is Isabella and she’s Rosalie’s mate.”Emmett told them.

“What the fuck?”Kate had thought Carlisle was lying when he told them about the grim reaper.

Tanya put up a hand stopping all the questions.”Why don’t we all go inside and discuss things?”

“Where are Eleazar and Carmen?”Jasper expected the mated couple to greet them with the sisters.

“They are traveling at the moment and aren’t planning on coming home anytime soon.”Tanya told him as she led everyone into the living room and took a seat in a chair that made her the center point of the room. This talk was going to decide a lot of things for the future of her coven and she wanted to remind everyone that she was in charge.

“That’s too bad because I know Eleazar is going to want to meet Isabella.”Alice knew a man who loved to learn as much as Eleazar did would be excited to interact with a grim reaper.

“Let’s actually start with that. You didn’t mention you were mated when you called. All you said was that the four of you were sick of dealing with Carlisle and Edward and were leaving the coven. Why didn’t you mention this Isabella? You know we would have been overjoyed for you.”Tanya thought Rosalie was close enough to her and her sisters that she would tell them when she found her mate.

Rosalie didn’t like hearing the hurt in Tanya’s voice.”The thing is I didn’t think you would actually believe me if I told you that Isabella was a grim reaper and thought it would be better to explain in person.”

“So you are trying to tell us that grim reapers are real?”Kate wasn’t sure if she believed that.

“Not only are grim reapers real but so are demons, angels, God and Satan.”Emmett grinned at the looks he was getting from the sisters. He hoped that he would get reveal the information again in the future.

“What proof do have of this?”Irina wouldn’t just believe such beings existed without proof.

“Well Rosalie and I met a demon who was a real estate agent who sold Rosalie a private Island.”Alice was cut off from finishing her story by Kate.

“Rosalie bought a private Island?”Kate asked.

Alice nodded enthusiastically.”Yeah it’s freaking amazing. It’s got what has to be the biggest mansion I have ever seen on it and every amenity you could think of. It’s a tropical paradise that even has tons of wild life for hunting.”

“How could you afford a private tropical island?”Irina didn’t think Carlisle had enough to buy an island let alone Rosalie.

“My mate is extremely wealthy and encourages me to spend that wealth.”Rosalie had been giving a lot of thought to using the demon’s earnings and had come to the conclusion that it wouldn’t be a big deal because they wouldn’t miss anything she and her siblings would ever spend.

“Yeah she is giving Rosalie an unlimited budget to build her dream home.”Emmett was very grateful that Rosalie was letting him, Jasper and Alice help with the design.

“If your mate is a grim reaper how does she make money?”Tanya still wasn’t sure if Isabella was a grim reaper but if she was her having a regular job didn’t make sense.

“Grim reapers are given access to the earnings of demons who live in the human realm. As Isabella’s mate I was given access to those earnings with Satan’s blessing to spend as much as I want.”Rosalie explained.

“There is a lot of things to unpack in there. First of all how are you sure Isabella is truly a grim reaper?”Irina thought that was the most important thing to focus on.

“We all saw her in her reaper form. She even used her scythe on Carlisle and Esme.”Jasper told them.

“What does she look like in reaper form?”Kate asked.

“She looks so cool!! Like her body is a skeleton with red eyes and she wears this bone armor over her black robe. Then the scythe is super sharp. It just cut off Carlisle and Esme’s limbs like a hot knife through butter. She said it even can injure souls.”Emmett was planning on asking Isabella if he could try out her scythe once things calmed down.

“And all of you saw this?”Receiving nod from all four of them Tanya fully believed that Isabella was a girl reaper.”How come we have never heard of grim reapers or demons and angels living amongst us before?”

“Demons are actually quite common and you likely have interacted with dozens if not hundred in your thousand years. Angels on the other hand are from what Isabella told me are mostly forbidden from traveling to the human realm to interact with mortals. It has something to do with an agreement between God and Satan to use demons to test mortals to see if they were worthy of heaven or not.”Rosalie said.

“I don’t think I like the idea of demons just walking around looking like humans.”Jasper and the others hadn’t been told that part by Rosalie and knowing that at anytime he could be interacting with a demon made him very uncomfortable.

“The one I met was nice.”Alice liked Gene very much.

“How does the mate bond work between a vampire and a grim reaper?”Irina asked.

“If I was mated to anyone else to include a demon or an angel it would be the same as being mated to another vampire or a human.”Or least Rosalie figured demons and angels could have mates.”Grim reapers are different because they can’t feel emotions. So Isabella doesn’t feel the bond at all.”

“Your mate can’t feel emotions?”Tanya was very surprised to hear that.

Rosalie shook her head.”It’s to do her job better. When reaping a soul it wouldn’t be good if you could feel hatred or love because you would no longer be impartial about where they went and it could make you do things you shouldn’t to or with the soul.”

“That makes sense.”Emmett didn’t think he would be able to hold back from interfering if he thought someone was being judge too harshly or not harshly enough.

“Does that mean you just have to deal with your mate never being able to love you?”Kate couldn’t imagine when she was mated if her mate didn’t have feelings for her.

“There is a certain ceremony that is done for reapers who are mated that choose to feel the bond. Isabella has agreed to go through it so that we can be a completely bonded couple.”Rosalie was planning on asking Isabella about when the ceremony would happen next time she saw her mate.

“That’s good. I worried for you for a second.”Alice was relieved that Rosalie would have a completed mate bond.

“When will we be meeting Isabella?”Irina wanted to see what a grim reaper was like.

“She is kind of busy so she shows up when she has free time. That being the case I don’t exactly know for sure.”Rosalie told them.

“How do you get in touch with her?”Kate asked.

“The only sure fire way I have to contact her is to kill someone as she is personally assigned to all my kills.”Rosalie was planning on getting Isabella a cell phone to try and see how well that would work while she was traveling.

“If she was assigned to your kills why did you not know you were mated before?”Tanya would have thought that Rosalie would have claimed her mate right after she was turned if Isabella was there.

“I have felt Isabella’s presence at everyone of my kills. I have actually spoken out loud to her at some of them. The reason I didn’t know she was my mate was because she didn’t show herself until a few days ago. With her not feeling the mate bond it didn’t matter that she saw my eyes. She actually didn’t know about the bond until I told her.”Rosalie wasn’t going to mention that she purposely killed three men to get Isabella to reveal herself as she knew none of them would approve.

“That’s crazy to think that you have been in your mate’s presence since right after you were turned and didn’t know it.”Irina wondered if she too had missed a connection with her mate like Rosalie. They only thing that made her feel better was knowing that eventually fate stepped in and pushed the two women together.

“I hate that I had to wait so long to meet her but figured that things turned out how they were supposed to.”Rosalie wasn’t bitter that she had to wait so long for her mate because if she didn’t she doubted she would get the perks she got for being Isabella’s mate.

“That’s a good way of looking at it.”Jasper was impressed Rosalie was keeping such a positive outlook.

“Well I look forward to meeting her.”Tanya was very interested in meeting a grim reaper.”Now then I think we should get to why you left your coven and for two of you your sire.”

“I had been planning on leaving after my conversation with Isabella where she revealed that she actually had money. Enough money to support the pair of us and any of our future children.”Rosalie flinched when numerous voices started shouting questions all at once.

“Calm down.”Tanya yelled getting everyone under control.

“Calm down? Rosalie just said she was going to have children with a grim reaper. I don’t think that is a situation you can remain calm in.”Kate said.

“Well I’m sure we would all like to find out how that can be and we won’t get answers if everyone is screaming.”Tanya waited a second to see if Kate would say anything else before addressing Rosalie.”What do you mean future children?”

“Isabella is well loved by not only God and Satan but by angels and demons as well. That being the case as her mate I was grated some extra abilities. One of those abilities is I will be able to carry mine and Isabella’s children if I wanted to. Which I do and plan to have many children in the future.”Rosalie told them.

“How does a grim reaper get a vampire pregnant?”Emmett asked.

“That’s a private issue that I won’t be discussing with anyone but Isabella.”Rosalie also didn’t know how it was done. Not that she would tell anyone when she found out because it was likely through some type of sex act and there was no way Rosalie would be telling anyone about her sex life.

“You can’t tell us something so incredible is possible and not tell us how it’s done!”Kate wanted to know.

“It’s not happening.”Rosalie wasn’t going to budge.

“Let’s get back to the original topic. You said you decided to leave the coven once you realized that Isabella could support you and your future family. What happened after that?”Tanya was planning on speaking to Rosalie later in private about how it was possible for her to get pregnant as wanting to be a mother was something she always desired. It was something she and the other blond bonded over as Irina and Katie didn’t have the maternal instincts.

“The next day Alice and I met with the demon real estate agent where I bought Isabella and I a home to stay while we went through the mating haze.”Rosalie was cut off by an over enthusiastic Alice.

“It’s not just a home it’s a palace. It has everything you could dream of and it’s far away from any other island. You don’t even have to leave for anything as everything is solar powered and the animals are wild and take care of themselves.”Alice had already been online looking for ideas on how she was going to decorate the room she was going to claim for her and Jasper.

“I’ve never been to a tropical island before.”Irina would love to have the chance to lounge on the beach without having to worry about humans.

“Can you surf there?”Kate had always wanted to go surfing.

“I don’t know anything about it other than the amenities listed and the pictures in the file. I’m going to call Gene later to see when I have official ownership so Isabella can take me there to see it and I can get an idea of what I need to decorate it.”Rosalie told her.

“How long will it take you to get there?”Tanya asked.

“That’s another cool thing about Isabella’s scythe. It can cut through space and time and open a portal to wherever she wants to go. So if she wanted to take Rosalie to the island she could get them there in a few seconds.”Emmett was going to ask Rosalie if she would let Isabella take him with her when she traveled like that.

“She can take people with her?”Irina could only imagine how much easier it would be to travel like that. They wouldn’t have to worry about the sun when planning to go somewhere.

“People and objects.”Rosalie was planning on only traveling that way in the future.

“She is actually taking us to hell to go to a festival that Satan is throwing in Rosalie’s honor.”Alice was extremely excited to party with demons.

“What?”Irina was sure she misunderstood Alice.

“Yeah apparently Rosalie is a huge deal in hell and finding out that she is mated to Isabella Satan decided to throw a week long celebration for her. Since Isabella can take mortals to heaven and hell Rosalie said we could go with her to party with Satan and a bunch of demons.”Emmet just like Alice was extremely excited to party with demons.

“Why would Rosalie be a huge deal in hell?”Tanya couldn’t think of any reason Rosalie would be famous in the underworld.

“Isabella told me it was because of who my victims were and how brutal their deaths were that I got a lot of respect from demons because I understood that some people deserved to be severally punished. She also told me that killing someone doesn’t send you straight to hell if the person you killed was meant to be sent there already. That’s why even though I killed a bunch of people I will still be going to heaven because all of their souls went to hell. Edward on the other hand is going to hell and will be treated very poorly when he gets there as only 3 of his 12 victims went to hell.”Rosalie was going to make sure when Edward died that she would visit him and rub it in his face that she had been right.

“You don’t go to hell for murder if the person who you killed was meant to go there?”Jasper hadn’t expected that.

“I would have to ask Isabella what the exact criteria is for hell because I think that even if you murdered a good person there were ways for you to go to heaven.”That at least was what Rosalie thought based on her talks with her mate.

“If that is true there might be hope for all of us.”Irina had never really considered heaven and hell being real but finding out it was she knew with her past she would be eligible for a very uncomfortable afterlife.

“I’ll talk to Isabella about it for you guys.”Rosalie didn’t want her family or the Denali going to hell so she would see what needed to be done to prevent it.

“Thank you Rosalie.”Tanya was very happy that there may be a way to keep her and her sisters out of hell.”Back to your story. You bought the island then what happened?”

“While we were at the real estate office everything about Isabella came out in front of Alice. As I knew Edward would take the information from her mind I called a family meeting so that I explain what was going on to everyone all at once. It started off bad right away because Edward refused to believe that not only was Gene a demon but that Isabella was a grim reaper.”Rosalie told them.

“Of course he didn’t.”Kate knew that Edward wouldn’t believe it even with overwhelming proof.

“Alice then brought up the island and made comment about how I should just live there full time. Emmett then asked if I was going to do that to which Carlisle said I was going to live them. I corrected him by saying not only was I not going to live with them but now that I met Isabella I was leaving the coven as I never liked being in it.”Rosalie explained.

“How did that go over?”Irina didn’t think very well if the other three had broken off as well.

“Esme asked how I could never like being a Cullen as they loved me like their own flesh and blood. I then pointed out if that were true then they would treat me, Alice, Jasper and Emmett with more respect. That started a big argument about how Edward was treated a lot better than all us and how he ruined our alliances with all our former allies. Carlisle tried to deny every piece of evidence we all presented and just proved to all us that he did not respect us or even care about us.”Rosalie hadn’t been surprised that Carlisle stood by his golden boy.

“Carlisle even tried to deny that he begged you not to turn Edward into the kings.”Jasper said.

“How could he deny that? He literally was on his knees clutching my pant legs sobbing.”Tanya didn’t know how anyone could deny those actions.

“He’s delusional. Just like Edward and Esme.”After all the years living with the trio Rosalie expected nothing less from Carlisle.”He is also of the belief that the Amazons, Egyptians and the Irish coven would come help if he called them.”

Kate laughed.”After everything Edward did?”

“All his misdeeds were pointed out but both Carlisle and Edward brushed them off. He actually tried to claim that Irina lied about everything.”Alice told them.

“He said I lied?”Irina asked.

“He called you a harlot with impure thoughts.”Emmett held his hands up in front of himself when Irina growled at him.”Don’t kill me I didn’t say it.”

“I told you we should have killed him.”Irina had brought it up to Tanya but she didn’t want the attention of the kings.

“Like the other covens Edward made enemies of we didn’t want to deal with Carlisle running to the Volturi.”Tanya wanted to kill Edward for the insult but knew Carlisle would run off to Italy and tell the kings. As he was a favorite of Aro it likely wouldn’t end well for the Denali if they were reported.

“I think it’s almost a guarantee that he will run to them now that we have left.”Jasper had expected Carlisle to call Aro as soon as he got off the phone with Tanya.

“We can talk about that after you finish telling us how that came about.”Tanya said.

“After Carlisle and Edward denied all of our claims Edward insulted Isabella and I attacked him. Carlisle tried to help but Emmett held him back while I dismantled Edward. It was after Carlisle was released he told me that I would be punished for I did to Edward. I reminded him I wasn’t a part of his coven anymore to which he replied that he owned me. That led to Emmett calling him a horrible person and asking me if I would take him when I left. Right after that Alice asked if she and Jasper could come to and I agreed. Carlisle tried to telling us we weren’t allowed to leave but we ignored him and all went to our rooms to pack. That’s when I called you and you said we could discuss joining when we got here.”Rosalie was still kind of surprised that her siblings had enough faith in her to follow her lead.

“I wish I could have seen you hurt him.”Kate never got to dismantle Edward. The only thing she got to do was shock him with her gift.

“Based on how he and Carlisle acted when we were packing the truck you might get your chance.”Emmet knew that they hadn’t seen the last of the pair or Esme.

“What do you mean?”Irina asked.

“Edward was demanding we pay Carlisle for rent and a bunch of other expenses that Carlisle paid for while we in the coven.”Rosalie smiled when the sisters laughed.”Yeah that’s how we reacted as well. Carlisle came out after that and started demanding to know where were going and what we were going to do. He tried saying that anything we do could affect the coven. When it was pointed out we weren't a part of his coven he tried to claim that the only way to leave the coven was through death or him giving us permission. Which he did not.”

“Did you all turn off your phones?”Tanya didn’t want Carlisle tracking them.

Alice nodded.”Not only did we turn them off but we crushed them and threw them away. Rosalie said she was going to take us to get new ones once things settled.”

“That’s good.”Irina was relieved to hear that as she like Tanya didn’t want Carlisle tracking them.

“What else happened before you guys left that led to Carlisle calling us saying you kidnapped a grim reaper?”Kate knew Carlisle had to have done something to get to the point of claiming the four vampires kidnapped Rosalie’s own mate.

“After Carlisle demanded we tell him where we were going Isabella came out of the house and was introduced. Edward of course didn’t believe she was grim reaper until I asked her to turn into her reaper form to prove it. Once it was proved Carlisle asked Isabella if she would introduce him to god.”Rosalie still didn’t why Carlisle thought god would want to meet him.

“Of course he did.”That’s exactly what Tanya would expect Carlisle to do.

“Well she told him that god didn’t want to meet him and that not only did God want to meet me but so did Satan. That was also when the celebration in hell was brought and everyone learned that Isabella could bring mortals to heaven and hell. Emmett and Alice asked permission to go to hell with us for the week and I said yes. Esme then ask if Isabella would take her to heaven and I said no. Edward then got extremely offended that I would deny him the chance. Carlisle tried to say that if Isabella wouldn’t take him, Esme and Edward to heaven then she wouldn’t be allowed to travel with any of us.”Rosalie told them.

“He thought he could tell a grim reaper what to do?”Kate didn’t know anything about grim reapers but she doubted that they took orders from mortals.

“He tried to claim that he was Isabella’s coven leader due to my mate bond with her. He was actually very lucky that he didn’t try to claim her in front of any of her demon friends because they would done unimaginable things to him.”Rosalie had no doubt that Isabella’s friends would have hurt Carlisle very badly for trying claim Isabella.

“It’s to bad he didn’t.”Emmett would have liked seeing a bunch demons in action.

“There were a bunch of other words said and then Carlisle made a threat about forcing us to tell him where we were going that led to Emmett and Isabella dismantling Edward, Carlisle and Esme and putting them in separate rooms in the house. We then finished packing up our stuff we left and about a half hour before we got here Isabella went back to the house and reassembled them.”Rosalie was happy the drama of getting out of the house was over.

“That is quite the story.”Tanya went over everything she had just been told. Finding out grim reapers, demons, angels, God and Satan were real was shocking. The fact that Rosalie was mated to a grim reaper and they were able to have children was even more shocking. What happened with Carlisle, Edward and Esme was not shocking at all. Tanya knew that the trio would be coming after their former coven members and that would make them a treat to the Denali if Tanya allowed them into the coven. Eleazar and Carmen trusted her judgment so they would go along with her decision. Looking at Kate and Irina Tanya knew what they were thinking. Kate had that glint of excitement in her eyes that she got when something interesting came along and nothing could be more interesting than a grim reaper. Irina liked the four former Cullens and had made many comments about them joining. That meant that Tanya needed to make the final decision. Weighing the pros and the cons the fact they would have a grim reaper in their coven was what had her making the offer.”And now that you are on your own I would like to offer the four of you a place in our coven.”

“What do you think Rosalie?”Emmett wouldn’t agree if Rosalie wasn’t going to join as well.

“Yeah Rosalie what do you think?”Alice was with Emmett. She would go where Rosalie went.

“I think it is a good idea.”Rosalie told them.

“Then we accept.”Alice said.

“Me too.”Emmett agreed.

“Then welcome to the coven.”Tanya was a little surprised that the others looked to Rosalie for her opinion as Rosalie wasn’t one to take charge of others.

“I would like to ask if it would be alright to use some of your land to build a home for myself and Isabella to have a place for our growing family?”Rosalie knew that the Denali’s house wasn’t going to be big enough for all them.

“I don’t see a problem with you building a home. We would just have to figure out how to get all the materials and the humans that would be needed.”Tanya didn’t mind having another structure for Rosalie to use for her family. It would guarantee that they remained close and Tanya would get to be an aunt and watch the children grow.

“You don’t have to worry about all that. Rosalie’s hiring a demon who owes Isabella a pretty big debt because she got him his job in the human realm.”Alice told her.

“Alright then.”It was going to take Tanya some time to come to terms with being able to hire demons being their new normal.

“I have an appointment with him tomorrow. Would you mind if he comes here so he can see the land?”Rosalie thought seeing where they were going to build would help with the planning.

“Hell yeah a demon can come here.”Kate wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to meet a demon.

Tanya sighed. She had a feeling that Kate was going to be getting into a lot of trouble in the future if demons were going to be regular visitors.”That is fine.”

“I’ll send him an email then.”Rosalie was pleased that things were working out like she hoped.

“Let’s get you all settled so we can unload the truck.”Tanya suggested spurring everyone into action. Letting Kate and Irina take care finding everyone rooms Tanya sat back in her chair and thought about everything that happened. She had thought Carlisle had lost it when he called looking for Rosalie, Emmett, Alice and Jasper claiming that they had kidnapped a grim reaper. Finding out that grim reapers were in fact real and one was mated to Rosalie made Tanya extra glad she didn’t mention anything about them coming to Alaska. Carlisle may be a horrible person but he was smart enough to understand how valuable a grim reaper would be to any coven. Tanya didn’t know Isabella’s fighting capabilities but the woman spoke regularly to God and Satan. Rosalie herself was valuable as well because she was respected by Satan and God requested to have a personal conversation with her. With the pair in their coven the Denali would be unmatched with those allies on their side. The Volturi or anyone else weren’t strong enough to take on God and Satan. Tanya was extremely pleased that she went with her gut and invited Rosalie and the other three to visit. Even if it meant she would have to keep extra eye on Kate while there were demons around.
