Faceless Queen 14

“Where is Queenie?”Rosalie asked Isabella. The pair were sitting on a love seat in what Isabella claimed was the queens’ sitting room. Looking around Rosalie could see that the queens’ claimed the room. There were various paintings of all three queens on the walls along with random pictures of the queens with different animals and a few of Isabella with each of them. Rosalie noted there was a lot less pictures of Isabella than the other queens. The animals in the pictures also confused her as animals didn’t like vampires but the ones in the pictures were all very close to the queens with the queens holding a few of them or cuddling them close. It made Rosalie wonder if Isabella had a way to make animals like vampires as her cat wasn’t afraid of them. Her cat being something Rosalie wanted with her for this talk because she wanted the extra comfort after everything that had transpired in the throne room.

“Did you know that cat is the same age as me and in that time no one has ever tried to name it. Not even I gave it a name.”Isabella would have never thought to give any of her forms names.

“Seriously?”Rosalie couldn’t imagine having a pet and not naming it.

“Seriously. It never occurred to any of us that it needed a name.”Isabella thought that being called Queenie was a lot better than being called the cat or it.

“Well that isn’t right. The cat is it’s own person it deserves the respect of having it’s own name.”Rosalie was upset that her cat had never been given a name.

Isabella chuckled at Rosalie’s anger at the perceived insult to the cat.”I think if I tell you the cat’s origins that you will forgive us for the insult.”

“That would nice.”Rosalie had wanted to know what the cat was ever since the first time it acted like more than just a regular house cat.

“To explain the cat’s origins I will have to explain my own. I will warn you however that my beginning wasn’t a happy one and after what you just experienced in the throne room you might not want to listen to my own trauma.”Isabella didn’t want to trigger Rosalie.

“I want to know your story.”Rosalie wanted to know everything there was about her mate. Thinking about the bond brought with it a question.”Actually before you share what is your relationship with Queen Athenodora?”

“Being my mate gives you the privilege of not having to use their titles when speaking about queens or to them. As to my relationship with her that’s part of my story. You see my species all have two mates. That is why you likely haven’t felt any jealously or anger when you saw us being affectionate with each other.”Isabella told her.

“I actually felt happiness seeing you together.”Rosalie still didn’t feel anything negative about hearing of the mate bond.

“That is do to what I am. Vampires who have a mate bond situation like ours are prone to hate the other mate and violence isn’t unheard of. My people never had that problem. If anything you will feel as though Athenodora is someone you will want to protect. Your relationship will be as close as two people can be without being bonded. How you deal with that is up to you but it is not unheard of for the two mates to find love and intimacy with each other naturally. Something I will fully support if that is where you both choose to take your relationship. No pressure though. You have free will and no one will force you to do anything you are uncomfortable with. Never again with you be at anyone else’s mercy.”Isabella wasn’t going to let Rosalie be a victim ever again.

“I don’t know how comfortable I would be having an intimate relationship with Athenodora but I am open to getting to know her better and forming at least a friendship.”Rosalie wasn’t going to shut the door on it as she was wildly attracted to the queen she just wanted to get to know her before they took that step.

“And that’s perfectly fine. You are in control of how you live your life. No one will make decisions for you ever again. Anyone who tries will feel my wrath.”Isabella would make it a painful death to anyone who tried to target Rosalie.

Rosalie held back a shiver at the fierceness in Isabella’s voice.”I believe you.”

“Speaking of people trying something. I want you to keep my sword for the time being. It’s the best way for you to protect yourself as you have no proper fight training.”Isabella didn’t want Rosalie to be defenseless.

“Will you be willing to teach me and my siblings how to fight?”Rosalie and the others had spoken about getting Isabella to train them many times and she thought this was the perfect time to bring it up.

“I usually don’t train anyone anymore but as you are my mate and I know it will please you I will happily teach you how to fight.”Isabella would have to tap into all her patience to teach the group as usually teaching people pissed her off and resulted in serious injuries and Isabella doubted that Rosalie would appreciate anyone permanently losing a limb or an eye.

“Thanks.”Rosalie was very happy Isabella agreed because she and her siblings definitely needed the help. Training for the newborn army proved that as Queenie proved to be the best fighter out of the group. Thinking of the cat brought back thoughts of the original topic.”You were going to tell me about your origins.”

“Yes I was.”Isabella said.”I guess I will start at the beginning. My species existed before anyone created the written word and our history was lost by the time the humans settled in Egypt and created their large civilization. What we were called doesn’t have a word that translates into any other language as we didn’t use words to speak to each other. As I’m sure you noticed when I forgot myself and spoke to you in my people’s tongue.”

“I didn’t think you had said any words.”Rosalie only heard random sounds.

“Our language was composed of sounds and hand and finger gestures. It was a universal way to communicate with the rest of the small population that existed at the time.”Isabella told them.

“So there was only one language for everyone?”Rosalie thought it smart to have as it would give everyone a way of talking to each other.

Isabella nodded.”Like I said it was only a small population. Only a few hundred of millions at the time. Not the billions that populate the earth now.”

“You said your species and I saw your finger turn into a claw but your eyes are red. Does that mean you are a vampire?”Rosalie figured Isabella had to be.

“No I am not a vampire. I am immortal however. I will start with the history of my species. We ruled over the population. Humans, vampires, shifters and my own species all answered to our king, queen and their third if they found them. It was about 100 yrs before I was born that a seer had a vision. The vision was of a great war between the humans and the supernaturals. A war that would result in us having to hide from the humans. It was also said that a savior blessed by the Goddess Artemis herself would be born and lead all of us to our salvation.”Isabella told her.

“Were you the savior?”Rosalie asked.

“I was.”Isabella confirmed.”When I was born I was indeed blessed by the goddess. For you see my people were shifters. We shifted into a type of animal that no longer exist. I however was given the ability to shift into anything I wanted be it animal or human.”Isabela explained.

“Wait if you can shift into anything does that include house cats?”Rosalie was sure the answer was no as there was no way Isabella was her cat.

“Yes I can.”Isabella stood and transformed into Queenie immediately changing back when Rosalie fainted. Patting Rosalie’s cheek softly Isabella tried to get her to wake up.”Rose, darling wake up.”

Rosalie bolted upright, swaying a bit as she felt a little light headed.”What happened?"

“You saw me change into Queenie and you fainted.”Isabella looked Rosalie over trying to see if she was ok.

“Vampires can’t faint.”Rosalie said.

Isabella rolled her eyes and retook her seat.”Seriously Carlisle really did shelter you. Of course vampires can faint. They can do many things that I have feeling I will be teaching you about for years to come.”

“I think you are right.”If Rosalie didn’t know a vampire was able to faint she knew there was likely many other things she didn’t know. Getting back to the topic of why she fainted Rosalie spoke.”Why did you let me believe you were a house cat this whole time? Actually why did you let me put a collar on you and dress you up in different outfits?”

“Initially I went to your coven as a house cat to collect the evidence I needed to convict those responsible for breaking the law. Then the plan was I would take care of Victoria and the army and take you all back to the castle to be tried. That all changed when I caught your scent and tracked you to the woods.”Isabella told her.

“Why didn’t you reveal yourself then?”Rosalie didn’t understand why Isabella let her believe that she was a cat.

“I couldn’t until I made sure I found out proof of who committed the crimes and your mind wasn’t protected at the time.”Isabella explained.”It was once I started investigating and went through Carlisle’s computer that I found the videos and pictures that he took of you that I knew that something more than just Victoria and her newborn army were at play.”

“There are more videos and pictures?”Rosalie was not happy hearing that.

“You don’t have to worry I destroyed every copy of all the videos and the pictures. That was one of the reasons I left you for those four days. I needed to travel to two of Carlisle’s houses to destroy the mainframe he kept everything stored on and collect the journals.”Isabella had made sure that those pictures and videos would never get in the hands of anyone else.

“I still can’t believe all the things they did to me.”Rosalie could have never imagined the lengths Carlisle and Edward went in their quest to own her.

“I know it doesn’t seem like it but it will get better. Some days it will feel like the world is ending but there will be days of happiness in between that will make them seem like just a blimp in the grand scheme of things. I’m not saying that you aren’t going to be carrying the effects of what was done to you with you the rest of your life as it has literally shaped everything about you but you have people that care a lot about you that will always be by your side when things get to tough you can rely on to help you through it.”Isabella told her.

“You sound like you know that from personal experience.”Rosalie said.

”I unfortunately do.”Isabella confirmed.”When I was a young child I was kidnapped by a bunch of humans who thought they could ransom me to my parents in return for the throne and control of their fortune. I’m not going to get into specifics but my time with them was not pleasant and at the time I didn’t have control of my shifting and couldn’t protect myself.”

Rosalie took Isabella’s hand in her own and gave it a squeeze.”How did you get away?”

“My parents of course refused to give into their demands.”Isabella cut Rosalie off before she could speak.”I know what you are thinking but if they did then the very people who would kidnap and abuse a child would be in charge of everyone. So even though it pained my parents to decline the easy way to get me they chose to protect the people. Something I don’t blame them for as I think I would do the same thing.”

“You would leave your child to be subjected to untold horrors to save people?”Rosalie would never leave her child to the mercy of kidnappers if she had a way to get them back.

“You have got it completely wrong. My parents didn’t leave me. They enlisted the help of many trackers to find me. It took them three days and once I was found they killed not only the humans involved in the plot to take me but they killed off their entire bloodlines.”Isabella had been more than pleased with the punishment.

“That is kind of harsh but for doing that to a child they deserved it.”Rosalie would have to look into any of Edward’s family that was still alive to see what kind of people they were. If they were like Edward she would kill them. She would be saving the world from the future monsters they could become.

“Yes they did. It’s also the reason I understand to some extent what you are feeling. I have carried the rage and anger of what happened to me with me my whole life. The same anger and rage I know you feel as well.”Isabella had listened to Rosalie tell Queenie all about her turning and how it made her feel. It was one if the many things Rosalie shared with the cat as she used the animal as a confidant.

“I have felt overwhelming anger and rage since I was turned. It gets so bad that sometimes I destroy acres of forest trying to get control over it.”Every moment of Rosalie’s life she fought to keep from acting on her emotions.

“I am personally humbled to be mated to you because you have not let it consume you like I have since I was a child. My life has been seeped in violence since my release and I have lost myself to the darkness many times. You however have been able to make meaningful relationships with people that you obviously trust and haven’t in any way hurt them physically. I on the other hand didn’t have a personal relationship until I met Dora. It took me over a year to be able to stand being in the other two queens’ presence and even then I was always combatant. In the years since I met them I have only allowed Jane close and the four of them are the only ones who know my history and about my abilities.”Isabella had only took Jane under her wing because the 18 yr old reminded her so much of herself.

“Now I know why Jane said she wasn’t afraid of the cat.”Rosalie said.

“That girl is lucky that Didyme likes her so much or I would have beaten her ass a long time ago.”Isabella grumbled.

Rosalie didn’t believe that for a second. It was quite obvious Isabella cared about Jane. The way Queenie acted around the small vampire being proof.”So what happened after you were kidnapped?”

“The kidnapping was what started the war as even the humans who agreed taking child was wrong believed that they should be the ones in charge. They aligned with some vampires and shifters who didn’t think my parents were doing a good job. I told you that my people were shifters. Well unfortunately the animal they shifted into wasn’t any match for vampires, most shifters or humans with weapons and because of that when a group of a dozen enemy combatants infiltrated the royal stronghold they easily killed the guards and assassinated my parents.”Isabella told her.

“That must have been hard on you.”Rosalie wasn’t a fan of her own parents but could see how it effected Isabella.

“It was extremely hard. I was about I think 12 at the time and was suddenly a queen dealing with a war. A war that was world wide not just small skirmishes we had in the past. I had made great progress with my shifting but still hadn’t mastered it so I didn’t have that skill to use.”Isabella had remembered feeling somewhat helpless at the time.

“You were in charge of a kingdom at war when you were 12?”Rosalie couldn’t imagine someone so young being in that position.

Isabella nodded.”Usually we would have someone step into the role until I was old enough to take my place as queen but being the savior they put the responsibility on my shoulders as they figured with what the seer told them that it was my destiny. They of course were right but not in the way everyone hoped.”

“What do you mean?”Rosalie was completely enraptured with the story.

“I led my people and the rest of the supernaturals in the fight against the humans and their allies. However it wasn’t a fight we could win. The humans had made weapons that made it easy for them to kill us. That and with the vampires and shifters on their side they were able to kill off many of us as they were able to infiltrate our ranks. Sadly they went after my people first. Their thinking being that we were the greatest threat because someone with my abilities came from them. We fought valiantly but in the end they killed all of them off except for me as we didn’t have large numbers and like I said we weren’t that great of fighters.”Isabella still felt the loss of her people just like it happened that day.

“I can’t imagine how that would feel to lose everyone.”Rosalie could never begin to understand what Isabella felt losing all of her people.

“It was hard and I blamed myself for a long time as I was their queen and I failed to protect them. It was also losing all of them and dealing with many betrayals that made not only me but most of the others realize that we weren’t going to win the war. A war that lasted four long years. Instead of surrendering and leaving our fate with the enemy I organized what resources I had which was a vast fortune and many estates and distributed it to my subjects and sent them on their way with the instruction to live in hiding. We all knew that if the humans found us they would kill us as was proven when they turned on their own allies and killed the vampires and shifters that were loyal to them. I actually had many of those people try and search me out to get my protection once they realized that they had a death sentence waiting for them.”Isabella had ordered her follower to kill anyone who came to them under those circumstances.

“And you have taken care of them ever since?”Rosalie could now see why Isabella was so angry that Carlisle neglected the shifters.

“I travel the world checking in on all of them and make sure they are thriving and they have the resources to live life without having to worry about a thing.”Isabella took her role as queen very seriously.

“What I don’t understand is you said that you weren’t a vampire and if you aren’t how have you been alive so long?”Rosalie asked.

“I told you I was blessed by the goddess Artemis. That blessing came when I was in my mother’s womb. My mother told me the story of how the goddess laid her hand on her stomach and a bright yellow light spread from Artemis’ hand to my mother who was surrounded by that light. Once the light faded Artemis told my mother that I would be needed to protect her creations for all as long as the earth still moved around the sun and to do that she gave me the ability to shift into whatever I wanted. She also made me immortal to be able to live long enough to fulfill my purpose.”Isabella explained.

“A goddess blessed you?”Rosalie wanted to say that Isabella was lying but Rosalie had seen enough proof to believe it.

“Yes she did and to this day I strive to perform the duties she assigned to me to the best of the abilities she gave me.”Isabella never took the blessing the goddess gave her for granted.

“That’s crazy.”Rosalie was finding it hard to wrap her mind around the fact that her mate was an ancient shifter queen from an extinct species who could transform into any animal or human she wanted and was in charge of all shifters.”If vampires were originally your subjects how did the Romanians come to be kings?”

Isabella growled just thinking about the Romanians.”Those men led a campaign against shifters. The three of them and their followers convinced most of the vampire population that shifters were inferior and should be kept in cages and bred to make armies of soldiers for them to control.”

“What did you do when that happened?”Rosalie knew that Isabella wouldn’t have brushed off the insult.

“The only thing I could really do is kill off all the vampires and I knew the goddess would not approve of that.”Isabella said.

“I agree she probably wouldn’t want you killing off an entire species.”Rosalie didn’t think any goddess or god would approve of genocide.

“It was because I knew that I had to deal with hiding the shifter communities better. Until the Romanians built their following and called themselves kings vampires and shifters lived in harmony. There was the odd fight every now and then but nothing extreme. So when the Romanians started hunting them I knew that they would never be safe with a vampire in charge. To guarantee that safety I have my people limit their interactions with vampires. I ordered them to not tell anyone about their true nature and had them all relocate their homesteads to different areas.”Isabella explained.

“Did it keep them safe?”Rosalie asked.

“It did because along with following the new rules I used my abilities to infiltrate the Romanians ranks and was able to get information on their targets. That meant that I was able to warn the shifters of the vampires coming for them. The communities that slipped through the cracks and got captured I would rescue. Eventually the kings decided going after shifters wasn’t worth the great many loses to their followers as they were losing dozens for every group of shifters they captured that would get saved anyway.”Isabella told her.

“So the very thing that they claimed was inferior was able to beat them in the end.”Rosalie was very proud of Isabella for outsmarting the kings.”Did you know Athenodora before she was a queen?”

“I did. We actually met when I was undercover. I had heard of a vampire gathering that I suspected would be them working out plans to take out more shifters. I was pleasantly surprised when it nothing of the sort. It was actually a group of vampires that got together to complain about the kings. Athenodora was there along with Didyme and Sulpicia who she had met through her sire’s relationship with Didyme’s brother.”Isabella said.

“Didyme has a brother?”Rosalie had never heard of the queen having a brother.

“His name was Aro and he was mated to Athenodora’s sire Caius. Both men were extremely sadistic. Their acts drove the three woman to kill both of them.”Isabella hated that she never got a chance to hurt those men.

Rosalie figured if Didyme was involved with killing her own brother he must have been a very horrible person.”What happened when you met Athenodora?”

“I was ecstatic. My people value the mate bond over all other aspects of life. Even my mission from the goddess comes in second to my mate bonds.”Isabella couldn’t have been happier that she had found both her mates.

“I was ecstatic when I when I met Queenie and now I know that it was because I was meeting my mate all the feelings I felt about the cat make sense.”Rosalie had felt everything she had heard described a newly bonded vampire felt when she locked eyes with the cat.

“I felt the same when I met you as well.”Isabella had almost transformed into her regular form and taken Rosalie right there on the forest floor.

“How did Athenodora feel about the mate bond?”Rosalie was curious how the warrior queen reacted to the bond.

“We were in a cave with about 20 other vampires. It was while one was giving a speech about how they needed to band together to fight against the kings that I heard soft laughter. When I looked to see who the laughter belonged to I was met with a pair of red eyes that widened at the sight of me. I was unsure what to do at first because I was undercover and not in my true form. While I was thinking of a way of leaving and coming back transformed Athenodora rushed to me, took me in her arms and kissed me senseless. I was shocked by the action because ever since my parents died I had never had anyone hug me let alone kiss me.”Isabella still remembered the moment fondly.

“Wait how many years had passed since your parents were killed?”Rosalie asked.

“Many thousands of years passed between their death and my meeting Athenodora.”Isabella told her.

“Jesus.”Rosalie was saddened that her mate went that long without physical affection.”What happened after she kissed you?”

“She pulled back from the kiss and told me that she and her sisters were occupying a cabin about 30 miles from the cave and that she would like very much to take me there. I was once again shocked by how forward she was. We hadn’t even exchanged names yet and she was already propositioning me.”Isabella chuckled thinking about it.”All I could do is stammer out a few random words that didn’t make any sense. She took that as me agreeing and lifted me in her arms bridle style and ran us right to the cabin.”

“You know that is exactly how I would expect Athenodora to act.”Rosalie could easily see the queen being so forward and aggressive in her actions.

“When we got to the cabin it was very hard to get her to focus on anything other than getting me out of my clothes. I finally got fed up with her shushing me every time I tried to explain what I was that I shifted into a giant lion. It is the only time since I’m known her that Athenodora showed any kind of fear and she was very afraid at the time. While she was collecting herself I transformed back and she finally let me talk. We then spent the next few hours talking about everything and anything before ending up in bed for a little over two weeks.”That was the first time Isabella had felt any kind of love since her parents died.

“Two weeks?”Rosalie couldn’t imagine having sex for two weeks. Looking at her mate she quickly amended that thought. Two weeks didn’t seem long enough.

“We have gone a lot longer than two weeks but usually Didyme and Sulpicia interrupt us for various reasons. Most of the time because they want to spend time with me.”Isabella never denied them the opportunity to visit.”That irritates Athenodora. Actually even my taking breaks for food irritates Athenodora.”

“That’s yet another thing I want to ask about. You said you aren’t a vampire but Eleazar, who is deathly afraid of you by the way and doesn’t want you coming after him and his coven for giving us information about you, he said that he’s seen you drink blood. Why do you drink blood if you can eat food?”Rosalie wouldn’t even bother with blood if she could eat food.

“You don’t have to worry about the Denali. I will send them a gentle threat but I won’t kill them.”Isabella would only be gentle with them because Rosalie was friends with them.”As to drinking blood I enjoy it. It doesn’t completely sustain me but I enjoy the taste. I also enjoy the taste of animal blood.”

“Thank you for not the killing the Denali.”Rosalie was very relieved they weren’t in trouble.

“They won’t be a problem after I give my warning.”Isabella doubted they would even think her name let alone say it out loud after she sent her message.

“Did others of your species drink blood?”Rosalie asked.

Isabella shook her head.”No they lived on a strict plant based diet. Their bodies couldn’t digest meat and dairy byproducts.”

“But you can?”Rosalie was now understanding how special Isabella was compared to her people.

“I usually crave the diet of whatever form I take. Like when I was Queenie I was completely happy to eat cat food. It tasted good and gave me the proper nutrients I needed.”Isabella told her.

“I still can’t believe you let me put a collar on you and let me dress you up in those outfits.”Rosalie was very embarrassed about how she treated her mate.

“Are you kidding? I have been bragging to Athenodora and the other queens this whole time about how much you spoiled me. They have never done anything for my forms unless it’s something that is needed for their enjoyment like the saddle and other riding gear Didyme had made so she could ride my horse form. I am beyond touched that you cared enough about me that you went out of your way to make sure I had the best. Even the collar I know you used the majority of the money you saved up from your allowances to have made for me. You my love are extraordinary and I thank you for caring about me so much.”Isabella had loved every second of spending time as Rosalie’s cat.

“It wasn’t hard to do those things for you. I love you and I loved you as Queenie. Someone I’m hoping you will be again for me.”Rosalie didn’t want to lose her cat just because she knew Isabella’s secret.

“I will happily be Queenie or any other animal you want any time you want me to be.”Isabella didn’t mind being different animals for her mates.

“I will need to think about what other animals I want you to be.”Rosalie had always loved animals but in her human life her parents forbid her from getting a pet and vampires and animals didn’t mix. Having the opportunity to experience whatever one she wanted she would have to make a list.

“There is no rush. We have the rest of our lives for you to pick as many animals as you want.”Isabella said.

“Speaking of the rest of our lives. What are we going to do now that we are mates?”Rosalie asked.

“What we do is up to you. Athenodora and the other queens would like you to live in the castle and take a throne for yourself.”Isabella told her.

“They want me to be a queen?”Rosalie hadn’t seen that coming.

“They believe that as my mate you deserve to rule over your people. However it is up to you if you want to do that. You don’t even have to live in the castle you don’t want. I just wanted you to know your options.”Isabella knew that the queens would be very disappointed if Rosalie chose not to be a queen but she wouldn’t let them pressure Rosalie.

“I don’t think I want to be a queen.”Rosalie couldn’t imagine herself sitting on the throne deciding people’s fate.”I also really want to stay with my siblings.”

“I expected you to say that.”Isabella had known that Rosalie wouldn’t want to leave her siblings behind.

“That’s another thing we have to talk about. What am I allowed to tell my siblings about you?”Rosalie didn’t want to lie to them but also didn’t Isabella to be uncomfortable.

“What do you want to tell them?”Isabella asked.

“I would like to tell them the truth.”Rosalie told her.

“Then you can tell them the truth and I will give them the blocks.”Isabella couldn’t deny Rosalie’s wish because she had allowed Athenodora to tell her sisters when they got together.

“Thank you.”Rosalie was happy she wouldn’t have to keep this from them.”Will I have to live at the castle now?”

“No you can live wherever you want.”Isabella easily interpreted the look on Rosalie’s face.”I will visit you often but I will not live with you.”

Rosalie didn’t like the sound of that.”How often can you stay?”

“I should explain that my species and most shifters are nomads. We don’t like to stay in one spot for long periods of time. Meaning I travel a lot so I would be dividing my time between you, the queens and traveling. So I can’t give you a definite answer on when I will be able to stay.”Isabella didn’t like seeing the crestfallen look on Rosalie’s face.

“Can I travel with you?”Rosalie asked.

Isabella hadn’t really thought of that option.”Actually you are more than welcome to travel with me.”

“Great we will just have to stay in places that it aren’t sunny.”Rosalie was very excited to travel with her mate.

“That won’t be a problem because my shield blocks the sun’s uv rays and prevents vampires from sparkling.”Isabella told her.

“Wait you can make it so I would be safe in the sun?”Rosalie had never heard of such a thing.

”Yes I have taken the queens on many trips to sunny vacation spots. We actually spent a week in the Bahamas a few decades ago.”The queens didn’t like leaving the castle that often but when they did Isabella took them wherever they wanted to go.

“Do you think that we could bring my siblings on a few trips with us?”Rosalie knew they would love the experience as much as she did.

Isabella head back a sigh. She really didn’t want to deal with Rosalie’s siblings.”That won’t be a problem but I will warn you I’m not a big fan of people in general so I may spend most of the time as your cat.”

“I understand.”Rosalie had learned enough about Isabella to know that she wasn’t that keen on spending time with people. She just hoped that she would eventually get comfortable around her siblings.

“What do you think they are going to do now that Carlisle has been punished?”Isabella asked.

“That’s something I need to talk to them about. We are all excited about the property you bought us and want to live there but we also want to build our own house. Or even multiple houses so each couple could have one for themselves. The problem with that it where to go in the mean time. Plus we need to get all of our belongings from Carlisle’s properties and storage units. Basically we have a lot to accomplish before we can settle down.”Rosalie hated that they couldn’t just go to their property in Alaska and begin their new lives.

“If I were you I would worry about your belongings first. Carlisle is petty and will likely do something to them. If you need a place to store things there is a shifter community in Alaska that has a home base close to your property. They are the reason I picked that spot and they would be more than happy to give you the space to store your things. They would keep them safe as well.”Isabella had thought Rosalie and her siblings would be safer with the shifters close to take care of any threats that came their way.

“If they don’t mind then we will likely take them up on their offer.”Rosalie thought a shifter territory was the perfect place for their stuff because Carlisle wouldn’t be able to touch it.

“As for having your homes built. Why don’t you all get that planned out then hire the people to do it and we will travel while it’s getting done.”Isabella suggested.

“It would be nice to take a vacation after all the crap we have just been put through.”Rosalie thought they deserved some time to relax and enjoy themselves.

“Then it’s settled. I don’t know how soon you all want to leave but I at least have to take Didyme riding before I can go with you.”Isabella had promised and she wouldn’t go back on her word.

“I’ll speak to them and find out what they are up to. I know Emmett is extremely excited about spending time with the guard.”Rosalie thought that at least Emmett would want to stay a little while longer.

“You do that and I will go speak to the queens and take Didyme riding.”Isabella said as she stood.

Rosalie stood as well and took Isabella in her arms and kissed her.”Thank you for everything you’ve done for me.”

“I would catch every star in the sky for you.”Isabella would give her life for Rosalie.

“I hope you know that I would do the same.”Rosalie would do anything for Isabella.

Isabella stole one more kiss.”There is a guard outside the door that will escort you anywhere you need to go.”

“Good.”Rosalie hadn’t even considered that she didn’t know how to get around the castle.

“I’ll see you later.”Isabella said before making her way out of the room.

“Bye.”Rosalie called after her. Watching the door close behind Isabella Rosalie took a moment to take stock of herself. She was feeling a little overwhelmed and a lot of excitement for the future. What was overwhelming her was everything she learned about Isabella. Never would she have even guessed that Queenie was actually Isabella. Even knowing it was true it still seemed outrageous. That wasn’t even getting into the fact that Isabella could change into any animal or human she wanted to. The idea of that being possible was somewhat frightening. Rosalie took comfort in knowing that it was her mate with the ability not some random person. From what she had learned Isabella didn’t use the skill for nefarious purposes. She used it for missions and for her own comfort. Rosalie had a feeling that Queenie was going to be making regular appearances in the future especially when they traveled. Traveling being something Rosalie was really excited about and knew her siblings would be as well. Thinking about her siblings Rosalie made her way to the door. She wanted to get started on living their new life and she couldn’t do that until they all made a plan.
