Faceless Queen 4

“We have a month until they come.”Alice told her family and Angela who were all gathered in the living room. Rosalie was not pleased hearing this news as it meant that they would be fighting for their lives very soon. Alice had the original vision of a newborn army led by Victoria coming for them a week before and in that time Carlisle had decided that the family would fight them instead of contacting the queens and reporting the situation. He reached out to the Denali for help but they refused to get involved. Now they were left with just the wolves on their side and Rosalie didn’t like their odds of coming out of this alive.

“Can we finally call the queens?”Rosalie asked.

“The queens will kill us if they find out that Angela is still human.”Edward told her.

“I think they will be more upset that we left the mate of a vampire we killed alive and it drove her to creating a newborn army to avenge him.”Jasper knew that the queens cared more about Victoria than they did Angela.

“Someone that I said we should have gone after.”Rosalie had told the family Victoria would be a problem but she wasn’t listened to.

“She isn’t a threat.”Edward wasn’t worried about Victoria or her newborns.

“How does creating a newborn army not make her a threat?”Emmett thought that was the definition of a threat.

“She is simply a woman who has no idea how to handle newborns. We will easily defeat her.”Edward told him.

Fran rolled her eyes.”Of course just because she is a woman you would dismiss her.”

“Regardless whether she is a threat or not we need to come up with a plan to defeat her.”Carlisle said.

“Do we have any other allies that would come to our aide?”Esme asked.

Carlisle shook his head.”The only ones I would trust not to inform the queens are the Denali and they told us no.”

“I talked to Peter about it and he said that his gift told him to steer clear of the situation.”Hearing that Jasper had become very concerned about the family’s wellbeing in regards to the fight.

“That’s not good.”If Peter’s gift was having him stay away Fran didn’t think they had a good chance of winning against the newborns.

“It’s to bad we haven’t found Isabella yet. She would be able to take care of the newborns no problem.”Emmett had read through Carlisle’s books and found many stories of Isabella’s exploits. Some of which shocked him in their brutality.

“I wish you all would stop your search for Isabella. Nothing good will come from it.”Carlisle was very afraid of the what would happen to his family if Isabella found out they were investigating her.

“Isabella won’t do anything to us because we aren’t trying to fight her. We are only trying to talk to her.”Alice told him.

“I wasn’t being dramatic when I told you about how people reacted to having conversations with Isabella. None of you will be left unscathed and I fear that some of you will not be strong enough to survive her harshness.”Carlisle didn’t think all of his children especially Edward would be strong enough to not try and kill themselves.

Edward scoffed at Carlisle’s thoughts.”Having a conversation with that woman won’t make me kill myself.”

“Actually out of all of us you are the most sensitive.”Fran thought Edward would be the most susceptible to being talked into taking his own life.

“If anyone will try and kill themselves it will be her because I will use her thoughts against her.”Edward said.

“Your gift doesn’t work on the queens it will probably not work on her as well.”Alice’s gift didn’t work on the queens either. She only knew about Edward going to Italy when she had a vision of him walking into the sun.

“I wonder how they block you guys.”Rosalie hadn’t considered that Isabella may be able to block mental gifts. If she did Rosalie hoped when she found her that Isabella would teach her how to do it as well.

“Eleazar said that he couldn’t get a read on Isabella but we know she has a gift if she has a human body. Maybe that means she is the one who had the block and gave it to the other three queens.”Emmett would expect that Isabella would share her gift with the other queens.

“We should have asked him if he could detect Didyme’s gift.”Jasper said.

“It doesn’t matter if he can’t detect any gifts in the queens my gift is to powerful for them to block.”Edward knew his gift could break through any block.

“How do you explain not being able to use it on the queens then?”Rosalie was looking forward to hearing whatever convoluted excuse Edward came up with for his gift being useless.

“I was highly emotional thinking that Angela died and didn’t try to use it. Then when we were brought back into the throne room my emotions were clouding my ability to think about anyone else’s thoughts.”Edward explained.

“That should be something else that is brought up. You claim Isabella wouldn’t drive you to kill yourself but the first thing you did was beg for death just because you heard basically a rumor your mate was dead. You didn’t even investigate to find out if it was true. What makes you think you will survive Isabella when your first instinct when you are emotional is suicide?”Fran asked.

“Let’s not forget your constant brooding and your hatred of being a vampire.”Rosalie and the rest of the family had to deal with Edward’s constant complaints and rants about how they were monsters and had nothing left of their humanity. He used to say they were soulless but changed his mind when he found his mate. His belief being that only someone with a soul would have a soulmate. Something he liked to point out to Rosalie constantly.

“My being a vampire won’t be a problem for long because when we find Isabella I’m going to make her turn me back to human.”Edward told them.

“You think that Isabella would actually do anything for you?”From what they had learned so far about the lost queen Fran doubted that Isabella would be willing to do more than yell at them for bothering her.

“If she doesn’t I will force her to.”Edward knew that Isabella could easily be controlled.

Rosalie growled.”You will not even touch her let alone try and force her to do anything.”

“I don’t think you can anyway. I read all about her in Carlisle’s books and she is a bad ass. I don’t think they were exaggerating either because some of the things described I don’t think anyone would be creative enough to come up with.”Emmett was planning on asking Eleazar if he had more books on the war with the children of moon to see if he could find more stories about Isabella.

“I doubt she is that talented of a fighter. She probably started the rumors of her exploits herself.”Edward figured that Isabella lied about her history to make people afraid of her.

“Then how do you explain what she did to the Denali?”Alice asked.

“Or Eleazar telling us about her randomly slicing off limbs while he was in the castle?”Fran added.

“Isabella’s exploits are true. I have seen her fight groups of vampires and she was vicious and unforgiving to her enemies. Sometimes she didn’t even bother using her sword. The woman is the personification of Death walking amongst us. That is why I want you to leave her alone and forget you ever heard her name because when she finds you it will be her forcing you to do things not the other way around.”Carlisle regretted ever hanging that painting in his office.

“The Denali said she would find us as well. Why do you think that?”Rosalie didn’t understand why Isabella would be the one to seek them out when it was them who were searching for her.

“She is like a ghost. One second you could be all alone in a room and the next she would appear out of thin air. She could sneak up on anyone. Her ability to do that was the reason people were scared to talk about her. She knew everything that went on in the castle and when she found out that her name was said she would target whoever dared to talk about her. Those punishments ranging from permanently losing a limb to losing your head depending on what mood she was in. The fact that not only have you asked the Denali about her but others as well will get back to her and when it does I expect her to show up here and I have no doubt when she gets here we are all going to feel pain.”Carlisle told them.

Rosalie hoped Carlisle was right and Isabella did come for them. If she did then it would give Rosalie a chance to meet her and try and befriend her.“Do you think she has more than one gift?”

“Based on some of things I’ve personally seen her do I wouldn’t be surprised.”Carlisle had always suspected that Isabella had multiple gifts.

“I wonder what she can do.”Emmett wanted to learn how to appear out of thing air. It would be a good skill for pulling pranks on people.

“Do you know anything about her sword?”Jasper had done research but couldn’t find anything like Isabella’s sword. Even the weapons dealers he contacted never heard of something like it. They did offer a lot of money if Jasper ever got his hands on it and wanted to sell it.

“I know nothing about her sword. Just that it’s a large broadsword that is about 4ft in length and can cut through anything. Vampires, werewolves even various materials. I have seen it cut through a stone wall.”Carlisle told them.

“I wonder what it is made out of.”Rosalie couldn’t think of anything that would be that strong.

“It’s just one more thing I will be asking Isabella for.”Edward wanted a sword like that to make himself more powerful.

“If Athenodora the warrior queen doesn’t have a sword it’s unlikely Isabella will give one to you.”Fran didn’t think Isabella would give him anything.

“Then I will just take hers from her.”Edward could easily take the sword away from Isabella.

“There was actually a vampire when I was at the castle who tried to do just that.”Carlisle said.

“What happened?”Alice didn’t think anything good.

”His name was Santiago and he had a gift where he could trick your mind into not seeing him. During trials Isabella would leave her sword on the side of her throne so that she could sit down. They were mid trial when Santiago snuck into the throne room and tried to steal the sword. I was in the room at the time and saw the whole thing. One moment Isabella was sitting there perfectly still seeming to not pay attention to the proceedings the next she had Santiago dangling in the air by the hand she had around his throat.”Carlisle remembered how shocked he was when Santiago appeared out of nowhere.

“She punished him right?”Fran bet it was a severe punishment.

Carlisle shivered in repulsion thinking about the event.”She stopped the trial and made us watch as Athenodora held Santiago while she systematically cut off pieces of him with her sword. She started with his toes and worked her way up taking off every part of his body that could be removed.”

“Every part, even his manhood?”Emmett asked.

“Every part. She took his teeth and eyes as well. Then she scalped him and lit his body on fire with his head still attached to his torso. It was the most disturbing thing I have ever witnessed.”Once Carlisle had a moment of privacy he had thrown up the blood in his stomach. That wasn’t the only time he had done so due to reacting to Isabella’s actions however.

“What the fuck?!”Rosalie knew that Isabella was violent but didn’t expect her to do something so extreme.

“Things like that are the reason I keep telling you to leave her alone and forget she existed.”Carlisle truly feared for his family.”And if you don’t you need to get out of the mentality that she will be friendly or that you can get her to do anything.”

“I’m not worried about her. She’ll do what I tell her to do.”Edward knew that Isabella would fall in line when she met him.

“I can’t wait to see what she does to you the first time you open you mouth.”Rosalie was looking forward to Isabella putting Edward in his place.

“Based on what Carlisle and the Denali told us Edward will be begging for death by the time she is done with him.”Fran said.

“She probably won’t even bother with having a conversation with you. She will most likely have you begging due to the beating she will give you.”Jasper could easily see Edward begging to be killed if he was being tortured.

“That will be after Edward threatens her and then begs for his life.”Rosalie knew that it would take some time before Edward realized he had lost the fight.

“I will not be begging that woman. If anything she will be begging me for her life.”Edward would show Isabella just how superior he was to her.

“Do we want to take bets on how long it will take for Isabella to attack Edward?”Emmett asked.

“I say it will take at least five minutes.”Fran said.

“I think it will take two. Just enough time for him to make his first statement.”Rosalie could easily see Isabella going after Edward after the first thing he said to her.

“I hate that I haven’t had a vision of what will happen. That being said I say ten minutes because Carlisle will most likely take the lead to explain the situation.”Alice hated that her visions were random. If she could focus them she would be able to pinpoint exactly when they met up with Isabella as it was obvious they would meet the lost queen eventually.

“I think that Edward will attack as soon as she is introduced to us. So I’m going with less than a minute.”Jasper predicted Edward would try to get the upper hand on Isabella and go after her before she went after him.

“I personally think that Angela will calm him down enough that he doesn’t act until Isabella tells him no to one of his requests. There will be arguing but he won’t attack for at least 15 minutes. Then again maybe I’m just hopeful that she will give him such a harsh verbal beatdown that he begs her to kill him.”Emmett wanted to witness Edward getting put in his place.

“I’m not going to attack the woman unless she disrespects me. That or refuses to do as I say.”Edward would use violence to make Isabella obey if he had to.

“I really hate that we haven’t figured out a way to find her.”Rosalie couldn’t wait to see Edward get what he deserved. Something that she knew would happen because it was guaranteed that Edward would piss Isabella off.

“Well you will have to wait until later to continue your search. We are supposed to meet the wolves soon and most of you need to change.”Carlisle said.

Alice jumped up from her seat.”I got a new outfit for training.”

“Did you get me that pair of boots I asked you for?”Fran asked.

“I did.”Alice confirmed.

“Thanks Alice.”Fran said as she along with Emmett followed Alice and Jasper out of the room.

“I hope the wolves are a better opponent this time.”Rosalie grumbled as she to made her way out of the room. She wasn’t happy that they had to fight with the wolves. They were a bunch of bumbling idiots who gave shifters a bad name. Not that Rosalie knew any other shifters she just figured that any others that existed were superior to the wolf pack. Then again a regular wolf was superior to the wolf pack. Thinking about the wolves brought Rosalie’s thoughts back to Isabella. Isabella being the main topic of her thoughts since learning of her existence. Hearing Carlisle’s stories about her time in the castle and learning about her dealings with the children of the moon Rosalie wondered how she would do in a fight against the newborns. Rosalie kind of hoped that Isabella would contact them soon so that she could ask the lost queen to take care of the problem for them or train them to fight so they could take care of it themselves. As of now Rosalie didn’t think they were going to win without losing some of her family members and most of the wolves. They weren’t good fighters and the lessons Jasper was giving them weren’t really much of a help. That was why they needed Isabella. Rosalie just had to figure out how to contact her. Which she would do no matter what it took. The queen was the only hope to save herself and her family. Although they irritated her Rosalie did care about them but mostly she didn’t want to die. She would rather take her chances with Isabella than a bunch of newborns.
