“That bitch!!!”Rosalie roared as she watched Bella’s opponent being pinned to the tennis court by two guards. She along with the other four Denali had just watch Bella win her match. It was during their celebration that Bella went to shake the other girl’s hand that the girl threw a punch at Bella. Luckily Bella had quick reflexes and was able to block the punch with her tennis racket. That seemed to piss the girl off more and she tried to jump over the net to get Bella. Four guards rushed in quickly. Two going after the girl and two ushering Bella away. Rosalie was not only pissed it happened in the first place she was pissed she hadn’t been there to protect Bella herself.

“I can’t believe she actually tried to hit her.”Kate knew the girl would be upset but didn’t think she would actually attack Bella in front of so many witnesses.

“I don’t think that this will be the last attempt she will make against Bella.”Carmen predicted that the girl would act out in the future.

“I think we should have Bella get a restraining order against her.”Tanya suggested.

“That’s a good idea. It will cover the guards if they need to put their hands on her.”Eleazar thought having the law own their side would be good.

“This just proves that we need to get to Bella as soon as possible because we all know how shaken up she will be about this.”Kate knew that Bella would be taking the whole incident hard.

“And that means that Rosalie needs to be given a choice.”Tanya said.

Rosalie shifted uncomfortably under Tanya’s serious stare.“What choice?”

“If you were given a chance to be human for 72 hours would you take it?”Tanya asked.

“What?”Of all the questions Rosalie expected to be asked that was not one.

“If you were given a chance to be human for 72 hours would you take it?”Tanya repeated.

“Are you joking?”Rosalie figured they had to be.

“Answer the question.”Kate said.

“Of course I would take it. Who wouldn’t want to be human even if it was only for a little while.”Rosalie would jump at the chance.

“Then I am going to give you a way to do that but you can’t asked me any questions as to how it works until you are given the shield.”Tanya told her.

“How is that possible?”Rosalie couldn’t believe that the offer was real.

“Like I said you will be told nothing until you get the block. I actually wouldn’t be giving you the chance if we hadn’t needed to be protected from the sun during our travels to meet up with Bella.”Tanya wasn’t completely comfortable sharing this with Rosalie without the block but it needed to be done if they were to make it to Bella’s final matches.

“What’s the process?”Rosalie wanted to know what to expect.

“First I need to give you one of these.”Tanya pulled a small metal container out of her pocket and opened it.

Rosalie watched in confusion as Tanya held up a small clear pill that seemed to contain some kind of liquid.”A pill can change me into a human?”

“It’s what the pill contains that changes you to human.”Tanya told her.

“What does it contain?”Rosalie asked.

“I can’t tell you exactly but there is human blood involved.”Seeing Rosalie’s hesitation Tanya was quick to reassure her.”It won’t cause any blood lust nor will you start craving human blood or have red eyes when it wears off. Also the blood was given willingly and the human was complete unharmed.”

Rosalie thought through the implications of taking the pill. Yes it contained human blood but she believed Tanya when she said the blood was taken in a humane way. If it wasn’t the Denali wouldn’t have been involved. The fact it wouldn’t cause blood lust or change her eyes red was a huge bonus. The big thing that pushed her into accepting was the fact that she was going to be human. Even if it was only for three days. That being something that she always dreamed of.”Alright I’m in.”

“Good. Now it’s best if you lay down because once your body changes it take a few minutes to get used to having a human body. Especially the first time.”Tanya was pleased that Rosalie wasn’t put off by the human blood because Tanya knew that Rosalie would enjoy getting the chance to be human again.

Rosalie moved a few cushions around on the couch and laid down.”Now what?”

“Once you put the pill in your mouth bite it in half. Your venom will react to the blood. The best way to describe what happens next is it will feel like your body is being tickled from the inside out. It’s not uncommon for a vampire to laugh during the change.”Tanya explained.

“Jane laughs herself to tears every time.”Kate had been on the receiving end of Jane’s gift for making fun of the small vampire for it.

“The whole process lasts about five minutes. When it’s over you will feel disoriented and extremely hungry. We will have a protein shake ready for you as we have found that is the best way to dull the hunger and helps give your body the calories it needs. If you didn’t have the shake you would eat more food than you can imagine trying to get to a point of feeling good enough to move around.”Tanya told her.

“It’s not a pretty sight. The first time Irina changed she ate our entire stock of food. Even everything in the outside freezer.”Kate said.

“Will the hunger subside?”Rosalie was looking forward to human food. She was not however looking forward to spending all her time as a human eating.

Tanya nodded.”After you drink the shake you will have the same appetite as a regular human.”

“Thank god.”Rosalie was very relieved to hear that.

“Are you ready?”Tanya asked.

“I’m ready.”Rosalie had never been more ready for anything in her life.

“Just bite the pill and the process will begin.”Tanya held out the pill.

“I got this.”Rosalie mumbled to herself as she took the pill from Tanya. Taking a deep breath she put the pill in her mouth and bit down on it. Almost immediately the taste of human blood overwhelmed her. Just as she began to sit up to find more blood the temptation went away and her entire body started to tingle. Flesh, bones even her teeth were tingling. It should have felt uncomfortable but it actually felt amazing. She felt like her body was being massaged from the inside out. Then as suddenly as it began the feeling left her.

"You alright there Rosalie?”Kate didn’t think anything went wrong but Rosalie hadn’t made a sound while it was going on.

Rosalie took a minute to take stock of herself.”I feel incredible.”

“Why don’t you slowly sit up and we will give you your shake.”Tanya suggested.

Rosalie’s slowly put herself in the sitting position. Looking at her exposed skin she marveled at how pink it was. Putting her hand over her heart Rosalie was astonished to feel it beating.”Even my heart beats.”

“We told you you would be human. Did you not believe us?”Kate asked.

“It’s not that I didn’t believe you. It’s just kind of hard to wrap my head around it.”Rosalie thought it would take a few hours to get used to the fact that she wasn’t a vampire anymore. At least for the next 72 hours.

“Here’s your shake.”Carmen held out a large plastic conditioner that contained some kind of brown liquid.”I’ve tried to make it taste the best I can but it’s not the greatest.”

“That’s fine.”Rosalie wasn’t going to complain. Taking the container she sniffed it before taking her first sip. Carmen was right. It didn’t taste good but Rosalie didn’t care. Even if it was bad it was the first thing she tasted other than blood in almost a century. That alone made it worth drinking. Finishing it off she instantly felt better.”You’re right it didn’t taste good but I do feel better.”

“If you think that’s bad you should try some of the ones Bella drinks. They are truly disgusting.”One of the first few times Kate turned human she had decided to follow Bella’s routine. She hadn’t even made it to lunch time on the first day she was so exhausted. It made her respect for Bella grow ten fold. Especially after experiencing her strict diet.

“I will.”Rosalie wanted to experience what Bella experienced.

“So now that Rosalie is human Kate and myself need to turn and then we all need to pack.”Tanya was pleased that Rosalie didn’t have any problems turning. Not that any of the vampires who tried had any it was just nerve-racking every time she witnessed it.

“I only have three changes of clothes with me.”Rosalie never usually brought much with her to Alaska because the sisters usually took her shopping.

Tanya looked Rosalie over.”You are about Bella’s size so you can borrow some of her clothes.”

“She wouldn’t mind?”Rosalie wasn’t against wearing her mate’s clothes. She just didn’t want to overstep.

“It’s not uncommon for others to wear Bella’s clothes. Not only does she not care she’s very used to it. The guard members are the worst thieves as they like having Bella’s scent with them when they are away from her. The queens, Jane, Heidi and Chelsea have Bella wear their clothes and give them back unwashed. So if you have something you want Bella’s scent on don’t be afraid to ask her to wear it.”Kate knew Bella didn’t care if people took her clothes. It made her feel loved having people care about her enough to want her scent with them.

“Well if she doesn’t mind.”Rosalie wasn’t sure how she felt about a bunch of other vampires wearing her mate’s clothing. It seemed it was something she would have to get used to because there was no way Rosalie was going to fight the queens and the royal guard about it.

“Come on I’ll show you Bella’s room.”Kate helped Rosalie off the couch and led her up the stairs.

“Do Bella and Irina share a room?”Rosalie figured the couple shared.

“When Bella moved in when she 14 she was given her own room. She and Irina didn’t get together until Bella was 16. Once they were a couple they decided that Bella would keep her room as a place to relax and have her own privacy. Irina has her own room as well but they sleep together in Bella’s room every night.”Kate explained.

“I see.”Rosalie wondered how she was going to fit into their household.

“Don’t look so worried. Once Bella finds out about the bond she will involve you in every aspect of her life. That will include her sleeping arrangements.”Kate told her as she stopped in front of a door that had Bella’s name written on it.

“I hope so.”Rosalie said as she followed Kate into Bella’s room. Looking around Rosalie instantly felt herself relax. Bella’s room was very cozy. It had blue painted walls, with overflowing bookshelves next to a comfy looking couch, an entertainment center that had a 72 inch television and multiple gaming systems underneath it. There was a large shelf of movies that Rosalie walked over to take a look at. She noticed many lesbian titles that she had heard of but never watch. Her family wasn’t homophobic but Rosalie’s sexuality wasn’t something that was talked about and it made Rosalie not comfortable enough to explore different media geared towards it. Seeing the couch Rosalie was already mid dream of cuddling up with Bella under a blanket on the on it watching the many different films together. Seeing the large bed taking up an entire wall Rosalie reimagined that dream to her and Bella cuddling on the bed as you could see the tv if you were laying on it.

Kate smiled seeing Rosalie focused on the bed.”The bed’s huge right?”

“Why does Bella need such a big bed?”Rosalie asked.

“I want to tease you and tell you it’s for sexual reasons but unfortunately it’s not. Bella moves in her sleep. Irina likes to hold her but if Bella begins moving and Irina doesn’t let her go she panics. When she first moved in she had king size bed but was known for falling off it so we bought her a bigger one. It’s helps and now Irina can move her back into the middle when she calms down.”Kate thought Bella falling off the bed was hilarious and had filmed it a couple times.

“I’ll have to talk to Irina about that.”Rosalie had never been in bed with a sleeping human before and would have to speak to Irina about how to handle it.

“You do that but first things first.”Kate opened a door that lead into a bathroom.

“Why are we going into Bella’s bathroom?”Rosalie asked.

“We aren’t we are going in here.”Kate opened a door at the other end of the room revealing a large walk in closet.

“Shit this bigger than any of Alice’s closets.”Rosalie had never seen a closet so big. It was almost as big as Bella’s bedroom.

“It’s the biggest closet in the house. You look around and pick out what you want. I recommend grabbing a watch or two while you’re at it.”Kate pointed to the large group of drawers in the middle of the room.”You’ll find them and other jewelry you can borrow in the those drawers.”

“Are you sure Bella doesn’t mind?”Rosalie didn’t want to upset her mate.

“I promise Bella doesn’t care.”Kate assured her.

“I’ll pick some stuff then.”Rosalie had already seen a couple shirts she wanted.

“I need to go take my pill and pack. We want to leave soon so try to be quick.”Kate told her.

“Thanks Kate.”Rosalie said.

“You’re welcome.”Kate replied.

“Alright let’s see what my mate likes to wear.”Rosalie mumbled to herself. Starting with shirts Rosalie noticed that Bella had all different styles. It was obvious that Bella went to many different events as she even had beautiful evening gowns hanging. Those Rosalie would not be needing. Maybe in the future she would get a chance to go with Bella to an event. Now that she had a chance to be human it would possible. Actually with the chance to be human almost anything was possible. Rosalie couldn’t believe that her new coven had access to those pills. It made Rosalie very happy that she broke off of Cullens because there was no way that Carlisle would ever be told about any of it. Rosalie did wonder who told the Denali about it as it was something that they had learned in the last five years. If they had known before then Edward would have been able to get the information from them. Rosalie gave a mental shrug. It really didn’t matter to her how the Denali found out. All that matter was that Rosalie was a member of their coven and that gave her a chance to experience the world just like her mate did.
