“What do you mean you are getting a tattoo?”Edward asked as soon as Rosalie, Tanya and Kate walked into the living room. Tanya held back a sigh at the question. She knew it would come she just wished they had a chance to watch Bella’s prematch press conference before they had to get into it. That wish was for not however as of course Edward would be scanning Rosalie’s thoughts after they spoke to Bella. He probably would be focusing on her thoughts for the rest of the visit. It was obvious that he, Carlisle and even Esme were trying to make Bella a member of their coven and the only real way they had of doing that was through Rosalie. It was to bad for them that wasn’t going to happen because although Bella was a big believer in bonds she was a human and didn’t feel them. That meant if they were forced to be apart it wouldn’t affect Bella only Rosalie. So any threats of them not being able to be together would only be detrimental to Rosalie and wouldn’t be a reason to get Bella to do anything.

“It’s tradition for Olympians to get a tattoo of the Olympic rings once they make the team. Bella wants all her family and friends to get the tattoo as well. As Bella’s mate Rosalie is included in that.”Kate knew that isn’t what Edward meant but she was going to drag it out as long as she could.”I’m thinking about getting mine on my wrist.”

“I think I’m going to wait to talk to Bella about where she is going to get hers before I decide.”Rosalie wanted to put hers in the same place Bella got hers.

“I’m not sure where Bella is putting hers but it will likely be somewhere visible.”Tanya figured after working so hard to get her spot Bella would want everyone to see the results.

“Eleazar and I are putting ours around our biceps.”Carmen said.

“Irina is incorporating hers into a half sleeve.”Kate was enjoying how frustrated Edward was getting.”Jane mentioned she wanted hers on the back of her neck.”

“Are you talking about permeant tattoos?”Emmett asked.

“Yes.”Tanya told him.

“You are expect us to believe that a vampire can get a tattoo?”Edward knew the Denali were lying.

“It is very possible for a vampire to get tattoos. As matter of fact everyone in the family has them.”Kate pulled up her shirt sleeve and showed them the lower half of the tattoo that covered her entire arm.

Alice looked over the colorful scene of what looked like a village from a primitive community.”That’s beautiful.”

“Thank you it’s of my home when I was human.”Kate was extremely proud of the tattoo as it gave her a way to have a piece of her human life with her at all times.

“How is that possible?”Martha asked.

“That’s none of your business.”Carmen wasn’t going to let anyone let alone the Cullens know how they were able to get tattoos.

“Why can’t we know?”Carlisle was very interested in learning how a vampire could get a tattoo. It was something he in his over three hundred years alive he had never heard of happening before.

“Yeah I mean how cool would it be to get a tattoo?”Emmett had always wanted a tattoo.

“How it’s done is not our secret to tell.”Tanya like Carmen and everyone else who knew how would never tell anyone else how it was done. It was entirely too dangerous for people especially vampires to know.

“Then whose is it?”Edward wanted to know the mysterious person who could alter a vampire’s body.

“Once again none of your business.”Carmen told him.

“Do the queens know about this?”If they didn’t Carlisle was going to use the information against the Denali.

“It was Athenodora who was the one who came up with the idea.”Kate and the others hadn’t even considered getting tattoos until the queen said it had been something she had always wanted to do. That had inspired everyone else and now not only did the queens and the Denali had many tattoos but most of the royal guard were covered in them as well.”As a matter of fact she had Chelsea who is the best artist in the guard train to do it.”

“She’s the one who did Bella’s tattoos.”Tanya and the queens had given in to all of Bella’s begging and let her get tattoos after she turned 17. Well Didyme and Sulpicia. Athenodora didn’t see the big deal and Irina would do anything to make Bella happy.

“You let a member of the royal guard around a bleeding human?”Esme knew enough about tattoos to know that humans bled a lot getting them.

“The guard would never do anything to hurt Bella and if they heard you say something like that they would probably kill you for the insinuation.”Carmen had no doubt that any of them would kill someone for saying they would hurt Bella.

“What I don’t understand is why the queens allowed all of you to get tattoos. You aren’t a member of the Volturi and your coven is known for your hatred of the queens.”Edward didn’t understand why the queens would include the Denali in anything.

“Bella was the one who started our tentative relationship with the queens. Over the years that has grown into a genuine like for each of them. I dare say that the queen are some of our closest friends. The fact that they killed our sire is a private matter that we will not be discussing with you.”Tanya and her sisters had been forced to face a lot of hard truths when they began their relationship with the queens. Hard truths that put them on a path of forgiveness. She would however not be sharing all of that with the Cullens as it was something between the Denali that was personal.

“The queens don’t have friends.”Edward scoffed at the very idea the Denali were friends with the queens.

“How would you know?”Kate asked.

“Everyone knows that the queen are ruthless dictators who don’t care for their subjects or humans. The fact that they are letting Bella live is obviously because she is or has something she can use for their personal gain. They don’t truly care for her.”Edward jumped back when all three of the women growled at him.

Tanya put her hand on Kate’s arm to hold her back from going after Edward.“The queens are not dictators and they love Bella very much regardless of what she can do for them and if you dare disparage them again you will be kicked out off of our land and never be allowed back.”

“I can say whatever I want and you can’t stop me.”Edward wasn’t scared of Tanya or the rest of the Denali. They couldn’t force him to leave or stay away. They weren’t strong enough.

“Try me.”Tanya would love to have a valid reason to forbid Edward from coming to her home.

“Son calm down.”Carlisle didn’t want to cause any unnecessary fights. They hadn’t figured out a way to get Bella for their coven and he needed Edward to have a clear head to help.

Edward was about to argue bout caught Carlisle’s thoughts.”Fine.”

“Can we get back to the tattoos.”Emmett wanted to get back to an interesting topic.”Is there any way for us to get one?”

”The person responsible would not be happy if we revealed their methods.”That was as close to the truth as Tanya was willing to get.

“Is it a person with a gift that helps you?”Alice figured they had to have a gift.

“I’m not willing to tell you anymore.”Tanya told her.

Emmett sighed.”I would love to get a tattoo.”

“What I don’t get is why is Rosalie allowed to get one if you are being so secretive?”Edward asked

“Rosalie is Bella’s mate. That means she will get all the perks we get being in Bella’s coven.”Kate knew that Rosalie was going to be overjoyed when she found out about those perks.

“What perks would those be?”Carlisle knew that there were many benefits to having Bella in his coven but wanted to know exactly what they were.

Kate smirked at him.“Things beyond your wildest dreams.”

”How come Rosalie will be allowed to know when she is vulnerable to mental gifts?”Edward picked up a thought from Rosalie.”What do you mean you’ll be getting the block?”

Tanya was not happy something else was about to be revealed but it didn’t really matter as she wasn’t about to tell them how it was done.”Rosalie will receive the same block that myself and the rest of the family have.”

“Exactly what is the block?”Carlisle asked.

“It blocks mental gifts from being able to work on the vampire who has it.”Edward explained.

“How did you get it?”Carlisle wanted it for himself and his family.

“None of your business.”Carmen repeated her well worn out statement.

“I won’t allow Rosalie to get such a thing without first knowing how it works and second getting it myself.”Carlisle wasn’t going to miss out on something that would protect him from most of the royal guard’s gifts.

Kate laughed.”You just keep surprising me with how important you think you are.”

“I am being very serious. Until I am told how it’s done and get it myself Rosalie is forbidden. Add to that the fact that you still haven’t answered my questions about Bella I am getting very irritated with all of you.”Carlisle was mad the Denali refused to answer anything.

“The feeling is very mutual.”Carmen had been irritated with the Cullens for years.

“You all better start answer my questions right now or I’m taking Rosalie and we are leaving.”Carlisle knew they would give in as they wouldn’t want Rosalie to be kept away from Bella.

Kate pointed to the front door.”Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”

“I’m not kidding I will take her and leave.”Carlisle told them.

“I’m not leaving.”Rosalie wasn’t going to leave the Denali as they were her only tie to Bella.

“You will leave if I tell you to.”Carlisle would force Rosalie if he had to.

“I won’t do anything you say if it has to do with being away from Bella.”Rosalie didn’t care if Carlisle was a king she wouldn’t be kept away from her mate.

“I own you and you will do as you’re told!”Carlisle stood from his seat on the couch and moved towards Rosalie only to be blocked by Kate.”Get out of my way!”

“Not going to happen.”Kate wasn’t going to let Carlisle touch Rosalie.

Carlisle growled.“She is mine to do as I see fit.”

“I’m not yours and you don’t own me!”Rosalie was highly insulted Carlisle would say such a thing.

“I am your sire. You owe me your life!”Carlisle told her.

“You may be my sire but I don’t owe you anything. As a matter of fact if I wanted I could go to the queens and report you for trying to forcefully keep me away from my mate.”Rosalie wouldn’t hesitate to do it either.

“We will happily give you Didyme’s number if you want.”Kate offered. Didyme was the one who made the laws when it came to bonds as with her gift she was an expert. It was well known if you messed with someone’s bond the queen was ruthless when it came to punishments.

“If Carlisle doesn’t back down I will take it.”Carlisle may be her sire and coven leader but looking at him now all Rosalie saw was an obstacle to her and her mate being together.

“I have a right to know about someone who is obviously dangerous joining my coven.”Carlisle said.

Kate didn’t even bother addressing Carlisle’s claim on Bella.”Bella is the least dangerous human in the world.”

“If that were true the queens wouldn’t want her.”Carlisle knew that the queens would only want Bella if she was some kind of weapon.

“If the queens thought Bella was dangerous they would have killed her or confined her to the castle.”Carmen told him.

“The queens would only keep Bella human if there was something special about her and if you don’t tell me what that is I will search Bella out myself to find out.”Carlisle screamed in pain as he suddenly felt electricity flowing through his body.

As soon as Edward saw Kate move on Carlisle he ran to help only to be slammed to the ground by Tanya’s hand on his throat.”Let me go!”

“What is going on?”Eleazar asked as he rushed into the room after hearing Carlisle screaming.

“Carlisle thought it smart to threaten Bella.”Carmen told him from her spot in front of Tanya staring down the rest of the Cullens who were on their feet.

“I’ll kill him!”Eleazar wouldn’t stand for anyone threatening his beloved fragile little human family member.

“You’ll do no such thing.”Edward groaned when Tanya punched him in then face.

“You keep your mouth shut.”Tanya turned her attention to Kate who held a still screaming Carlisle on the floor.”Kate let him up but restrain him.”

Kate sent another jolt of full power through Carlisle before dragging him to his feet and holding him close so he wouldn’t be able to get away.”You move, you feel pain.”

“Let me go!”Carlisle was extremely pissed at the way he and his son were being treated.

“Not going to happen.”Kate told him.

“No what is going to happen is that you and the rest of your coven are going to take yourselves and leave our territory. Then you are going to lose our phone numbers because this is us officially cutting ties with your coven. Meaning if we see any of you on our land ever again we will take it as a declaration of war and will respond.”Tanya wouldn’t hesitate to kill all of them if she had to.

“You’re kicking us all out?”Alice asked in shock.

“You’re a Cullen and because of your leader you are no longer welcome here.”Tanya felt very happy that she finally had a good enough reason to cut ties with their so-called cousins.

“What about me?”Rosalie didn’t want to be forced away from Bella.

Tanya shared a look with each of her coven mates all giving her nods of agreement.”I as the leader of Denali coven would like to offer you an official invitation to join us.”

“You can’t steal one of my coven members!!”Carlisle wouldn’t let them take Rosalie.

Rosalie didn’t even have to think about her answer.”I accept.”

“Good then we will contact the queens and have them send guards to collect your things.”Tanya knew the queens would be more than happy to help.

“Thank you.”Rosalie was relieved that she wouldn’t have to leave some of her stuff behind. She didn’t think she would take everything but there was some personal items she didn’t want to lose.

“I’m giving you each a warning. If anything belonging to Rosalie is stolen, ruined or even moved I will take that as a personal insult and will respond with force.”Tanya knew that Carlisle and Edward were petty enough to wreck Rosalie’s things out of anger.

“You can’t tell us what to do!”Edward wouldn’t stand for it.

“I can’t but the queens can and I expect that you will be receiving a call from them as soon as we let you go.”Tanya was going to call the queens and let them know what happened as soon as she made sure the Cullens were on their way.”With that said I think it’s time for all of you to leave.”

“I’ll escort you to your car.”Kate grabbed Carlisle by the arm and dragged him out of the house ignoring his many protests.

“You won’t get away with this!”Edward would get the Denali back for the way they were treated and for stealing one of his coven members. He honestly didn’t care about Rosalie. What he cared about was that Rosalie leaving took their chance to have Bella in their coven with her.

“I’ll take him.”Carmen grabbed Edward’s leg and dragged him out of the house dodging his weak attempts to fight her.

“Can we still talk to Rosalie?”Martha didn’t want to lose her sister.

“That will be up to Rosalie. However you will not be allowed in our territory as you all pose a risk to our coven.”Tanya wouldn’t keep Rosalie from speaking to the people she had lived with for almost a century but she wasn’t going to allow them to be anywhere near Bella.

“I’ll call you guys once I get settled.”Rosalie wasn’t that close with her sibling but she would miss them.

Alice gave Rosalie a hug.”I’ll make sure they don’t touch your stuff.”

“Yeah we all will.”Emmett promised getting his own hug.

Martha moved in for her own hug when Emmett pulled away.“We will miss you.”

“I’ll miss you guys too.”Rosalie told her.

Jasper offered her a smile.“Goodbye Rosalie.”

“Good bye Jasper.”Rosalie wasn’t insulted by the lack of hug as Jasper was a man of few words and wasn’t that big on touching.

“It will take a few days for him cool off but when he does you can come back. When you do I’ll make sure you aren’t punished to harshly.”Esme knew that Rosalie was just reacting to the high emotions and wasn’t really leaving the coven.

“I’m not coming back.”Rosalie had no intention of going back to the Cullens. She was actually looking forward to being a Denali as she had always liked the family and it seemed that they now had access to many incredible things. Tattoos, the block and being able to be in the sun without sparkling just a few of the many Rosalie expected.

“We’ll see.”Esme said before making her way out of the house.

“Bye.”Alice took Jasper’s hand and followed Esme.

Martha smiled sadly at Rosalie.“Call us.”

“As soon as things get settled.”Rosalie promised.

“We will be watching Bella’s matches rooting for her.”Emmett told her.

“Thanks Emmett.”Rosalie was touched that Emmett would support Bella even without meeting her.

“See yah.”Emmett gave her one last wave as he walked out of the house with Martha.

Once she heard the cars driving away Tanya sighed.“Well that was eventful.”

“That it was.”Eleazar agreed.

“I’m going to go call the queens. Hopefully I can be done in time for Bella’s match.”Tanya didn’t want to miss out on watching Bella’s match live.

“That is one of the bright spots of this whole ordeal. You guys can go to Bella’s final two matches.”Eleazar said.

“That is true.”Tanya hadn’t thought of that.

“Will I be able to go with you guys?”Rosalie asked.

“As long as you don’t say anything about the mate bond until the qualifiers are over you can come.”Tanya didn’t want Bella distracted.

“I won’t say anything.”Rosalie knew it would be hard but she would just keep reminding herself that it would be bad for Bella if she told her.

“Alright I’lll check in with you guys once I’m done. When Kate gets back from making sure they left our territory have her arrange for the jet to get ready for us to leave as soon as the match is over.”Tanya wanted to get to Bella as soon as possible so they could help her with her prematch routines that they were usually a part of.

“We will.”Eleazar said.

“Good.”Tanya didn’t wait for a further reply as she made her way to her office. She wanted to hurry to not only watch Bella’s match but to get the queens to call Carlisle. That would reinforce Tanya’s threat to the coven. Something that would need to be done as she fully believed that Carlisle would target Bella. He was a greedy man and knowing that Bella was important he obviously wanted her for his coven. The fact that instead Rosalie got away taking his chance at Bella with her would make him act out. His pride had been wounded and there was no way he would let that go. Tanya truly believed that he wouldn’t be able to hurt Bella. She just didn’t want any drama. They lived a peaceful life even with Bella’s tennis career and all that came with it. They were all very happy and things were going their way. Especially with Bella going to the Olympics. That being what they needed to focus on. Not Carlisle and his overinflated ego.
