“Hey Bells you’re looking rested.”Kate said as the computer connected the video call with Bella and Irina. Rosalie once again was struck by how beautiful Bella was. Tanya had agreed to let her see the screen as long as she stayed off camera. Rosalie was grateful for this because it gave her a chance to see her mate in an unguarded moment. That and it gave her a chance to hear Bella’s voice.She had watched old matches and interviews but it wasn’t the same as hearing Bella have a personal conversation where she didn’t have to pick and choose her words carefully.

“I slept well and Irina just gave me a massage.”Bella told her.

“Hello Bella, hello Irina.”Tanya greeted the mated pair.

“Hello Tanya, Kate how are things going?”Irina asked.

“Things are tense but we are dealing with them.”Tanya said.

“Are you going to be able to come to any of my matches?”Bella asked.

“We are going to try.”Kate was going to do everything she could to be at Bella’s matches.

“It will depend on how long the Cullens stay but I suspect that they will be leaving soon.”Tanya expected that Carlisle was going to start a fight as soon as they left the room.

Bella smiled.”Good it isn’t the same without you guys in my family box.”

“It isn’t the same watching you on tv instead of being there in person.”Kate loved experiencing the crowd and atmosphere of being at matches.

“Did you figure out your wobble?”Tanya asked.

“After rewatching it a couple times and a call with the queens we have all come to the conclusion it was the racket.”Irina told them.

“It’s a racket I’ve used before because I liked the grip but should have retired it as the strings had come loose with the excess speed she was hitting the ball at.”Bella explained.

“Will your custom rackets be ready before the Olympics?”Kate knew that Wilson wanted to roll out the line in an Olympic campaign featuring Bella.

“We will start work on the press campaign a week after we come back from this.”Irina said.

“Have they decided what to do?”Tanya knew they were still not decided on how they were going to run the campaign.

“They are going to revolve everything around Bella’s back tattoo.”Irina told her.

“Speaking of tattoos the queens are still in so we will have to set a time to go to Italy after the qualifiers.”Bella said.

“I’m going to get mine to go around my wrist.”Kate wanted her tattoo in a place it would be seen.

“I’m thinking that I’m going to incorporate mine into a half sleeve on the lower half of my right arm.”Irina said.

“I’m not sure where I will put mine yet. Carmen and Eleazar are going to put theirs around their left biceps so they match.”Tanya was thinking maybe she would do like Kate did and put hers around her wrist.

Hearing them talk about getting tattoos made Rosalie frown. She understood Bella being a human getting one. Something she was in full support of as Rosalie loved tattoos. She had always found tattoos attractive. The fact that Bella had some made her very happy. What she wasn’t sure about however was how would a vampire get one. She knew they were talking about getting permanent tattoos but Rosalie had thought that was impossible for vampires to do. It made Rosalie wonder if this was one of the things that had to do with Bella that the Denali was keeping hidden. Tanya had mentioned that Bella had a gift. Was part of that gift making it so vampires could get tattoos. Rosalie would ask once the call was over.

“So how are you feeling about today’s match?”Kate asked.

”I am sure I will win I just am not looking forward to whatever the girl will do because I do.”Bella told her.

“The guards are there to protect you.”Tanya knew the guards wouldn’t let anything happen to Bella.

Bella sighed.”I just don’t understand why she hates me so much.”

“It’s because she is jealous. The girl has been playing tennis since she was a child but doesn’t have even a quarter of your achievements. Plus you went pro at 16 when she was 18. In your two years you have more trophies than she does in her whole 8 year career. A career that will likely be coming to an end in a couple years.”Kate knew that the girl just envied Bella’s talent.

“That’s what mom thinks as well.”Bella said.

“Well Sulpicia is a very smart woman so if she thinks it then it must be true.”Tanya agreed with both Kate and the queen. The girl was definitely jealous.

“Other than that how are you feeling?”Kate asked.

“Pretty good. I’m still worried about the fluidity but the massage has helped.”Bella told her.

“I arranged for the hotel to shut down its pool for an hour so that she can use the hot tub.”Irina said.

“Something that you will benefit from just as much as Bella.”Kate knew that Irina was a big fan of Bella in a hot tub.

“There will be no extra benefits until the qualifiers are over.”Irina told her.

“I don’t know how you control yourself. When I find my mate I’m sure I won’t be able to keep my hands off of them.”Kate had always been impressed with Irina’s control.

“I think the fact that she met her mate so young probably helps with that control.”Tanya knew that Irina had been tested not to act on her mate bond with Bella ever since they met. Even though her instincts demanded that claim her mate Irina refused to even kiss Bella until she was 16. That was only after Bella had revealed her feelings for Irina.

“That’s very true.”Irina agreed.”Anyway we need to head to the arena.”

“Alright well we wish you good luck even though you won’t need it and we will be watching on tv cheering you on.”Kate was going to make sure the Cullens kept quiet this time so she could watch it live.

“Don’t worry about your opponent’s attitude. Just focus on the game and leave the rest to the guards.”Tanya fully believed that the girl would act out. She wasn’t worried about it though as the guards would take care of it.

“Thank you and I’ll try not to.”Bella said.

“Make sure you text us.”Kate wanted to know what was going on.

“I will.”Irina promised.

Bella waved at the screen.”Love you.”

“We love you too.”When the screen went blank Tanya sighed.”She’s obviously nervous about that girl.”

“I hate that we can’t be there to reassure her.”Kate wished she were there to joke around with Bella and make her forget about her worries.

“Do you think she will be ok?”Rosalie asked.

“Irina mentioned that Jane and Heidi were going to surprise her so that will give her something to take her mind off of things.”Tanya knew that the pair would be a good distraction for Bella.

“Jane and Heidi are going to the match?”Rosalie had been told Bella was the Volturi princess but didn’t think the guards actually went to the matches.

“Bella is Jane’s best friend. She tries to go to as many matches as she can. Jane and Alec actually claimed Bella as their fragile human triplet.”Kate loved watching Jane try to blend in with humans and their customs because she was so out of place and uncomfortable.

“Bella is Jane’s best friend?”Rosalie didn’t think either of the witch twins liked humans.

”They talk everyday and Jane saves all her vacation days to go to Bella’s matches. She also visits here quite often and was the one who was in charge of remodeling the castle to make sure Bella had all she needed so that she could train there. The set up is even better than ours.”Tanya and the rest of the family wasn’t that happy that Jane had taken such a shine to Bella but after seeing them interact a few times and seeing Jane’s obvious affection they relaxed. The fact that Jane was so protective of Bella helped change their mind as well as it was obvious Jane would even stand up to the queens if she thought Bella was being mistreated. Something she had done a few times when the queens became overbearing.

“What about Heidi?”Rosalie wasn’t sure what to think about Bella’s relationship with Jane. The vampire inspired nothing but fear in all those who knew her name.

“I dare say that Heidi is even more attached than Jane but that is mostly because her gift doesn’t work on Bella.”Kate said.

“Heidi’s gift doesn’t work on Bella?”Rosalie was surprised to hear that.

“We told you Bella had a gift. Well along with blocking the sun she also isn’t effected by mental gifts. Even Eleazar can’t get a read on her.”Tanya wasn’t a fan of revealing Bella’s secrets but her gift wasn’t that big of a deal. The reason she was allowed to stay human was something she wouldn’t be telling Rosalie until she was away from the Cullens and her mind was shielded like the rest of the Denali, the queens and most of the royal guard.

“Seriously?”Rosalie had never heard of anyone who could block mental gifts.

Kate nodded.”That’s why Heidi likes Bella so much. With her gift not influencing Bella Heidi knows that Bella’s feelings for her are genuine. Bella is the first person since she was changed that Heidi knows for sure likes her as a person not because they are forced to.”

“That’s actually kind of sad.”Rosalie had always been wary of people just liking her because of her looks but she knew that some people actually liked her for who she was.

“It is and that is one of the reason most of the gifted guard members like Bella. She has no reason to fear them so she can build real friendships with them.”Tanya explained.

Rosalie had never really thought about how being gifted would affect someone’s relationships.”I think I understand why you guys allow her to be around the guard now.”

“It was tense in the beginning but after a couple of visits we became comfortable.”Kate said.

“Is Bella the reason you guys can block Edward, Jasper and Alice?”Rosalie figured if Bella could block people then she could give the ability to others.

“Not exactly but until you have the block as well we can’t tell you how we got it.”Tanya wasn’t going to risk Edward taking it from Rosalie’s mind.

“I’m going to get it?”Rosalie was very happy to hear that as having no privacy was her biggest complaint to being a Cullen.

“You are Bella’s mate. That means you are going to have to keep Bella’s secrets. To do that you need to be able to protect yourself.”Tanya told her.

“Does Bella have a lot of secrets?”Rosalie asked.

“You will find out when you get the block.”Tanya wasn’t going to tell Rosalie anything else until it was safe.

“I guess I’ll just have to wait.”Rosalie wasn’t happy about it but understood the caution.

“It will be worth it I promise.”Kate knew that Rosalie would be more than happy when she found out what they weren’t telling her about Bella.

“I want to ask about you guys getting tattoos? Were you talking about getting real ones?”Rosalie asked.

Tanya cursed herself for forgetting Rosalie was in the room when talking about it.”We were but we are not going to explain how we are getting them. That will be another thing you will find out when your mind is secured.”

“Alright.”Rosalie hated that she had to wait.

“Until you find out you should be thinking of where you want to put one because all of Bella’s family and friends agreed to get the Olympic rings tattooed on their body in celebration for Bella making the team. Even the queens.”Kate told her.

“The queens are getting tattoos?”Rosalie didn’t think the queens would be the type to get Olympic rings tattoos.

“The queens have many tattoos. As do all of us.”Tanya lifted her shirt sleeve and held it out to Rosalie.

Rosalie looked the Denali crest tattooed on Tanya’s forearm.”And it’s permanent?”

“Completely permanent. I have a full back tattoo and a full sleeve on my left arm. Even Eleazar and Carmen have some.”Kate loved her tattoos and had plans to get many more in the future.

“Is that why you are all wearing long sleeve shirts?”Rosalie hadn’t noticed it before but thinking about it all four of the vampires were wearing long sleeves.

“We didn’t want your coven seeing them but Bella kind of let the cat out of the bag.”Tanya wasn’t to worried about the fall out as the Cullens couldn’t get any information other than they had tattoos out of them.

“And I will be able to get some in the future?”Rosalie asked.

Kate nodded.”I wasn’t lying about the Olympic rings. It’s tradition for Olympians to get them tattooed on their bodies. Bella wanted all of us to do it because she says that we are just as much part of her success as she is. Something I can’t really argue about. Everyone in her life dedicates a lot of time to her career.”

“I wasn’t involved in her career.”Rosalie was sad she wasn’t.

“It doesn’t matter because as her mate you will be in the future. Plus you will be there for the Olympics. It’s like I told you Bella will accept you and will put a lot of effort in the relationship. She just won’t have as much time to spend with you as you like. She will not ignore you or push you away though. She is a huge believer in bonds and cherishes them above all the other things in her life.”Tanya knew that Bella would be more than happy to welcome Rosalie into her life.

“Then I guess I need to think about where I want to get my tattoo.”Rosalie wouldn’t mind being a part of Bella’s Olympic journey and having a tattoo that all the other people involved in Bella’s life would have would just make her feel like she belonged with the group.

“You do that. Now Bella’s prematch interview is about to start and I want to see it.”Kate wanted to see what Bella’s opponent had to say.

“I do to.”Rosalie didn’t want to miss the chance to see what Bella had to say about the match.

“Let’s hope the rest of the Cullens leave us alone long enough to get through it.”Tanya said. The other two murmured their agreements. Tanya knew that her hope was in vain because as soon as Edward pulled the fact that Bella had a block and the Denali had tattoos he would confront them. He wouldn’t be able to keep his mouth shut. Not that Tanya or the others would tell them anything. It made Tanya realize she needed to text Irina to bring up Rosalie joining the coven. She was sure that her sister would be reluctant but she would allow it because Rosalie was Bella’s other mate. Tanya herself was alright with it as Rosalie had always been her favorite Cullen. It was actually brought up a couple times to invite Rosalie to join the Denali but they never followed though on it. That made Tanya believe the other three would agree as well. Not only because they liked Rosalie but because if Rosalie joined them that meant that Rosalie was cutting ties with the Cullens and then they wouldn’t have to deal with them anymore. That would be more than enough incentive for any coven to accept Rosalie.
