“Why are you rewatching the match in slow motion?”Emmett asked Kate when she restarted the match they had all watched hours before. Those hours being filled with tension between the two covens. Well it was tense between the Denali and Carlisle and Edward. Carlisle had spoken to the queens who refused to tell him anything about Bella other than she would never be a Cullen and if he targeted Bella in anyway be it by trying to use Rosalie to control her or simply looking at her the wrong way he and the rest of the coven would be executed. Emmett and most of the family had been shocked by the threat. Carlisle, Esme and Edward however were extremely pissed off by it. They turned their anger towards the Denali because the four vampires refused to tell them the reasons why the queens were so interested in and protective of Bella. It was obvious that there was something about Bella that made her very special but the Denali wouldn’t tell them. They wouldn’t even tell them why the queens were letting Bella be human. The less they said the angrier Carlisle, Esme and Edward got and it made for a very uncomfortable visit.

“Irina sent a message telling me that Bella is concerned about her left wrist strength because she felt it wobble when she was returning a serve. I want to see it so I can help her figure out if it’s actually her strength or it was just how the ball hit the racket.”Kate and the rest of the family always gathered together after Bella’s matches and went over Bella’s concerns. It made Kate angry that she wasn’t able to do that in person this time.

“Is a wobble a big deal?”Rosalie asked. She had been reading through the tennis books the Denali owned and had learned a lot about the game. She wasn’t an expert yet but she was getting there.

“To a normal person no. They would have been overjoyed if they played like Bella. Bella however is a perfectionist. She has dedicated her life to perfecting her technique. Irina actually has numerous degrees in sports medicine to help Bella keep her body healthy. Plus the queens’ have hired the best specialists that money can buy to aide Bella. So a wobble that most people would dismiss a person like Bella will obsess over it until she finds out why it happened and how she can prevent it from happening again.”Kate knew Irina was going to have to force Bella to go to bed that night because of her fixation on the wobble.

“Irina went to school for human medicine?”Rosalie wondered if she should take some classes as well.

“Once Irina found out that Bella’s ultimate wish was to win an Olympic gold medal in tennis she did all she could to help Bella achieve that goal. She even got certified to be a chair umpire so that she would know how the matches were called.”Kate told her.

“I have a lot of catching up to do.”Rosalie was going to have to talk to Irina about what she needed to do to help Bella.

“Where does Bella train while she’s here?”Alice asked.

“The large warehouse we added to the property is Bella’s personal training center. It has an indoor tennis court and all kinds of stuff that Bella needs to maintain her body and be at the top of her game.”Kate took every opportunity to help Bella train. Her favorite activity being throwing tennis balls at various speeds and angles for Bella to hit back over the net.

“Do you think I could see it?”Rosalie wanted to see where Bella trained.

“If you don’t touch anything I will give you a tour.”Tanya was only allowing it because Rosalie was mated to Bella.

“I also want to see her trophy room.”Rosalie was curious about what titles Bella had won throughout her career.

“A room we are going to have to add an addition to as the one we have is almost full.”Carmen said.

“Does Bella play in that many tournaments?”Martha asked.

Kate nodded.”Bella plays in all major tournaments on the circuit and a lot of the minor ones as well. She would actually play in more if Irina didn’t force her to take time to rest.”

“Is she ready for her match tomorrow?”Rosalie wished that she could be there in person to support Bella but until she could properly meet Bella and tell her about the mate bond she had to stay away. Something she didn’t like but understood that it was best for Bella.

“She is concerned because she had an incident with her opponent the last time they played each other. The girl threw a racket at her and broke into her locker and trashed all her stuff.”Carmen hated that they couldn’t retaliate for the cowardly acts.

Rosalie growled.”That bitch dare think she can attack Bella.”

“The queens have arranged for guard members to be in the locker room to protect Bella’s personal items and for some to be on the court near the benches so they can step in if the girl tries anything.”Tanya always felt better when the guards were close by in case Bella needed them.

“The guards will keep her safe.”Rosalie wished it was her keeping Bella safe but because she couldn’t the guards were the best alternative.

“So what exactly are we looking for during Bella’s match?”Emmett wanted to know what to look for.

“Two things. One a wobble in her left wrist when she returns one of her opponent’s serves with her backhand and two Bella felt like she wasn’t as fluid in her motions as she usually is.”Kate told them.

“How do you fix either of those problems?”Martha didn’t have a clue how a human became more fluid.

“The wobble can be fixed by either strength training or it might have been how the ball hit the racket. If it was the racket then there isn’t much that can be done.”Kate explained.

“And the fluidity?”Alice asked.

“Irina is going to give Bella a massage tomorrow before her match to loosen up her muscles. She will also make Bella do some extra stretches and that should get her back to normal. If not then she will schedule some time for Bella to soak in a hot tub.”Kate wasn’t to worried about Bella. It was probably just because she traveled the day before.

“Is Irina the only one who gives Bella massages?”Rosalie wanted to know who was touching her mate’s naked body. That way she could kill every single one of them.

“Irina is the only one who sees and touches Bella when she is undressed. She even makes Bella wait until everyone is done in the locker room before she showers and changes after each match.”Tanya told her.

“When they were first mated Irina would attack each of us if we touched Bella. We weren’t allowed to even shake hands with her for the first six months of their relationship. I honestly think the only reason Irina gave us permission was because Bella needed the extra help after her accident.”In the beginning Kate would make sure to touch Bella out in public to mess with Irina because she couldn’t do anything to retaliate.

“What accident?”Rosalie asked.

“Bella had always wanted to ride a motorcycle. Although hesitant we agreed to let her after she practiced and proved that she could do it safely. We even cleared a path behind the house so it would be even safer. On one of her solo rides a baby fox ran out in front of her and she swerved to miss it. Unfortunately when she swerved she accidentally hit the throttle. It caused Bella to lose control of the bike and it threw her off of it with the bike landing on top of her. Poor Irina tried to save her but it happened to fast for her to prevent Bella from getting hurt.”Tanya knew that Irina still felt guilty about not being there to save Bella.

“What happened to her?”Emmett didn’t think anything good would happen to a human if a motorcycle landed on them.

“Bella was actually extremely lucky. Although she needed stitches she didn’t break anything. The reason Bella needed help was because her hands were scrapped really bad from her trying to stop her fall. We had to help her do everything from feeding her to dressing her. Irina of course took care of all the hygiene and bathroom issues but we took turns taking care of her.”Kate hadn’t minding helping Bella. It allowed her to get to know the human better and gave them a chance to bond. Now Kate considered Bella her best friend and favorite sister.

“That is lucky.”Rosalie was relieved that Bella didn’t have any lasting injuries from the accident.

“After that happened Bella was banned from driving any type of motor vehicle.”Carmen and her mate completely supported the sisters forbidding Bella from driving.

“How does that work with her Jaguar sponsorship?”Martha figured Bella would have to drive the car as part of the deal.

“Bella has her driver’s license but only drives for the various promotional events the company wants her to do. Those are done with the highest safety standards because if something were to happen to Bella they would be sued for millions of dollars and gain a lot of bad publicity. It was also added in her contract that she didn’t have to drive the car in public but she did have to ride in one so Irina makes sure that only Jaguars drive them to all events and matches.”Tanya explained.

“And in return she gets a car?”Alice asked.

“She gets a lot more than just a car. They pay her 8 figures to be the face of their company.”Kate said.

“You’re saying she gets tens of millions of dollars and a free car just to be in some commercials?”Emmett didn’t think a company would pay that much for that kind of thing.

“That’s one of her lowest paying sponsorships. Wilson pays her nine figures and after she wins the gold she will get a nice 25 million dollar bonus. That doesn’t even include the royalties she will get off of her custom line of rackets and the other custom items that are in the works.”Kate was expecting Bella to rake in at least another 20 million in the first year on the rackets alone.

“How about the Nike deal?”Rosalie figured that Nike paid Bella pretty well.

“Her Nike contract is up in a couple weeks but I predict that Irina is going to be ruthless when she renegotiates so Bella will likely get paid more from them than Wilson.”Kate was already making plans for what they would do to celebrate signing the contract.

“What about Rolex?”Martha asked.

“She doesn’t get as much for them because she only does print ads. If she agreed to do commercials and make appearances at events then she would get much more.”Kate said.

“Why does she only do print ads for them?”Rosalie would think that she would do a few commercials to get more money.

“Bella doesn’t really need the money. That and the only reason she even works for them was because when she was a young girl the player that she idolized was sponsored by them. They really don’t do anything for her personal brand.”Tanya told them.

“She was so proud when Irina told her she secured the deal. Irina took the first watch she promoted and had a case made for Bella to display it in her trophy room.”Carmen had remembered how hard Bella had cried when Irina gave it to her.

“As her new mate be prepared to be forced to wear one of their watches at all times.”Kate told Rosalie.

“I don’t mind. I just wish I brought one of mine with me.”Rosalie had a few Rolexes she had purchased throughout the years but didn’t bring any with her because she didn’t think she would need one in the wilderness.

“Bella will likely have a custom one made for you like she did for Irina and the rest of the family.”Kate held her wrist out for Rosalie to look at her watch.”She had them put the Denali crest on the face of it. The ones she gave the queens and some of the guard have the Volturi crest.”

Rosalie looked a the watch.”I didn’t know you could customize a Rolex.”

“When your name is Bella Swan you can do anything you want.”Carmen told her.

“Do you think she could get us some with our family crest on them?”Alice would like a Rolex with the Cullen crest on it.

“Bella will not be doing you any favors.”Tanya shut that down right away.

“If she is going to do one for Rosalie what’s the big deal with her having some for the rest of us made?”Martha didn’t think it would be a problem for Bella to have more watches made with the one for Rosalie.

“Bella doesn’t know you and you likely will never meet her. That being the case she will not be going out of her way to do things for any of you.”Tanya wasn’t going to let anyone take advantage of Bella or her connections.

“Why wouldn’t we meet Bella?”Edward asked as he, Carlisle and Esme entered the room catching Tanya’s comment. The trio had been away from the house discussing how to deal with Bella. The plan was to get information out the Denali and if they wouldn’t say anything then they would find a way to get the coven to leave so they could search their house for clues.

“Bella isn’t a social person and doesn’t like meeting new people. Plus she has very little down time and there is no way Irina or the queens are going to let her waste it making nice with a coven of vampires that are of no significance to her.”Kate wasn’t going to allow it either. She didn’t get enough time with Bella as it was there was no way she was sharing her with anyone else especially the Cullens.

“Bella is Rosalie’s mate. She will have to be introduced to the coven before I allow them to complete the bond.”Carlisle was not going to give up on making Bella a part of his coven. Not only was her ability to stop vampires from sparkling in the sun to valuable to lose, he was sure that there was something about Bella that would make his coven very powerful. He just needed to figure out how to use Rosalie to make Bella join them willingly. Then the queens and the Denali wouldn’t be able to stop her.

“The bond will not be completed any time soon as Bella is staying human. Regardless of that Rosalie may be Bella’s mate but Bella is the Volturi Princess. The queens decide who gets to be around her and will not hesitate to remove any undesirable from Bella’s presence.”Tanya, the rest of the Denali and the queens didn’t want the Cullens anywhere near Bella. Actually they didn’t want any other vampires around Bella. It was way to dangerous.

“Are you threatening us?”Edward asked.

“I don’t make threats. I make promises. If you don’t stay away from Bella you will have to deal with not only myself and my family but the queens and then entire Volturi guard.”Tanya told him.

“The royal guard will be extremely ruthless as they all adore Bella and claim her as their fragile little sister.”Kate had always found it weird seeing the way the royal guard acted around Bella. Jane’s overwhelming affection for the human being the most surprising.

“Jane especially as was proven when she dealt with that man who made sexual comments about Bella at the US Open. His mind will never heal from what she put him through.”Carmen was pleased with the punishment. Anyone who would say what the man said about a 16 yr old girl deserved to be taught a lesson.

“The laws are very clear. I am Rosalie’s coven leader. I have to give permission for Rosalie and Bella to be in a relationship. That being something I won’t do until my questions are answered and I meet Bella.”Carlisle wasn’t even going to allow Rosalie to talk to Bella on the phone until his demands were met.

Kate laughed.”You really are full of yourself aren’t you.”

“Carlisle isn’t kidding. There will be no relationship until you tell us what you are hiding about Bella.”Edward was frustrated he couldn’t just take the information from their minds.“Also you need to tell us how you are blocking our gifts.”

“Remind us again what the queens told you when you called them?”Kate asked.

“I’m not dealing with the queens right now I’m dealing with all of you.”Carlisle knew that he didn’t have any way of getting the queens to talk but he was going to make the Denali.

“We already told you everything you need to know about Bella. Anything else is none of your business and none of us will be revealing any of her secrets. We will also not be allowing anyone in your coven other than Rosalie to meet and spend time with her. I don’t care what you seem to think but you have no say or rights in this matter.”Tanya told him.

“What does Bella have to say about it?”Alice figured if Bella knew about Rosalie she would want to meet her family.

“The reason we haven’t invited you to visit since we met Bella is because Bella has said many times she does not want to meet your coven. It’s also the reason that you are here now when she is away.”Tanya knew that Bella was not a fan of the Cullens and had no interest in meeting them.

“She doesn’t even know us why would she not want to meet us?”Emmett thought it was odd to not like someone you never interacted with before.

“She heard all about you from us and the Volturi.”Kate told him.

“So you have already poisoned her against us.”Edward wasn’t surprised that the Denali would bad mouth them.

“How is she going to have a relationship with Rosalie if she doesn’t like our coven?”Martha asked.

“Bella is a big believer in bonds. Finding out she is mated to Rosalie will have her giving Rosalie a chance.”Tanya said.

“What do you think of this Rosalie?”Esme wanted to know how Rosalie felt about this situation. That way she, Carlisle and Edward could use it to get Rosalie to have Bella join their coven.

Rosalie wasn’t sure what she thought.”If Bella doesn’t want to meet you we should respect her wishes. However I’m not going to stay away from her because of it.”

“If she refuses to meet us you will not be allowed to speak to her let alone see her in person.”Carlisle wouldn’t allow it.

“You can not keep me away from my mate.”Rosalie wasn’t going to give up Bella for anything.

“I am your coven leader. You do what I say and I say that you can not be in a relationship with Bella until we meet her.”Then Carlisle was going to make her a member of the Cullens.

“Rosalie is the mate of the Volturi Princess. That makes her the princess consort and the queen’s daughter in law and a royal. Meaning if anyone has authority over anyone it’s Rosalie who is in charge of you and the rest of your coven.”Tanya told him.

“Rosalie will never be in charge of me or the rest of the family.”Carlisle said.

“You all should start treating her better because she will have her own contingent of guards to do her bidding.”Kate hoped that Rosalie would sick her guards on at least Edward.

“I’ll have my own guards?”Rosalie wasn’t sure how she felt about her new title. She was always taught to fear the Volturi. Especially the queens. Now it seemed she was one of them. She wished that she could speak to Bella about it. Rosalie was sure the human would be able to put her mind at ease.

“If anything happened to you it would upset Bella and the queens constantly go out of their way to make sure nothing upsets the human. One of those things is having important people in her life protected. Even the four of us have guards whenever we leave the property.”Kate had come to enjoy the guards after some time. She considered most of them friends and was known to hang out with them when they were off duty.

“Bella has royal guard members protecting her.”Carmen said.

“What is so special about Bella that the queens are willing to give up members of the royal guard for her?”Esme had only heard of the royal guard leaving the castle to deal with lawbreakers not protect a human.

“She’s the queens’ daughter.”Tanya wasn’t going to say any more than that.

“Why was Bella adopted?”Carlisle knew that the queens adopted Bella for a reason. Not just because they liked her.

“Bella is an exceptional human who the queens were quite taken with right away. Didyme claims that she fell in love with Bella the moment she met her and Athenodora was so impressed she ordered for the castle to be remodeled to add a tennis court and training center an hour after their first meeting. Even Sulpicia was effected and spent an afternoon asking Irina all about what Bella needed to help her career. She then had Heidi and Chelsea research the best experts in each field to hire to work with Bella.”Tanya had been very pleased that the queens reacted the way they did when Bella was introduced to them as she and the rest of the Denali feared they would force Bella to stay in the castle.

“That doesn’t explain what is so special about Bella that they went to those lengths. Unless they have a familiar bond with her.”Edward was positive that there was more to Bella than just being able to block sun rays.

“They don’t have a bond but they still love Bella just like she was their own daughter.”Carmen told him.

“If they love her like a daughter and were worried about her safety then they would change her and keep her in the castle where it’s the safest.”Esme said.

“Why the queens do things are not our concern. We just follow their orders and make sure Bella is taken care of to the best of our abilities. Now then let’s move on from the queens. Kate did you find the wobble?”Tanya asked her sister changing the subject. She knew it would be brought up again but would take the reprieve while she could.

“Not yet but I do see why she said that her movements weren’t that fluid but I don’t think it was because of anything Bella was doing. I think it’s because like Bella thought she was hitting the ball a lot harder than the last time.”Kate hadn’t gotten the stats yet but could see that the ball was hitting a lot harder than the last time Bella played the girl. That being a match she watched before the Cullens came to compare the two.

“Why isn’t Bella adapting better to that?”Carmen asked.

“I think it’s because she traveled the day before and didn’t have a rest day.”Kate said.

“That’s true they did leave a day later than they wanted to.”Tanya knew that Bella liked to take a day before a tournament to relax her body.

“Bella will be able to tell once she rewatches it a few times.”Kate and the others gave Bella advice on her game but Bella was the expert when it came to her body.

“What time is her next match?”Rosalie was excited to see Bella play again.

Tanya checked her watch.”In about 6 hours.”

“What’s her prematch routine?”Rosalie asked.

“She gets up at 5am and does yoga and Irina assists her with some stretches. Then she meditates for an hour, followed by breakfast which today will be in the company of a reporter from Vogue who is doing a series of articles about Bella’s journey to Olympic gold.”Tanya told her.

“Irina is not looking forward to dealing with that woman for the next few months.”Kate didn’t understand why Irina agreed to the feature in the first place.

“She said that the series will get Bella a lot of good publicity. Plus she wants to use it as a way to see if the public would be interested in the book she is writing about Bella’s life.”Carmen said.

“Irina is writing Bella’s biography?”Alice was very surprised to hear that.

“Her fans have been asking for one for years and Irina wants to get one out before someone writes an unauthorized version.”Tanya told her.

“Isn’t that a bad idea to make Bella’s personal life public?”Martha didn’t think it would be smart to tell the world about a human who had such a close relationship with vampires.

“It’s better if we set the narrative and stop others from digging.”Carmen said.

“That makes sense.”Rosalie thought it was a good idea prevent people from looking too closely into Bella’s background.

“Actually that brings up something. You said you met Bella when she was 14. Who had custody of her when she moved in with you?”Alice asked.

“I worked out a deal with Bella’s parents that led to them relinquishing their parental rights to me and I took over as Bella’s guardian.”Tanya was very proud of the fact that she had been able to legally get Bella out of such a horrible situation.

“What deal would any parent take to give up their rights to their daughter?”Esme wouldn’t have given up any of her children without a fight.

“Bella’s parents were very abusive and constantly tried to exploit Bella’s talent and fame for personal gain. We all wanted to kill them but Bella stopped us saying that it would be very suspicious if something happened to them. To get them to sign over their rights I paid them each 2 million dollars and told them if they ever came near Bella again I would have them arrested for the abuse.”Tanya explained.

“They sold their child to you?”Rosalie was outraged that Bella’s parents treated her so poorly.

“The money was an incentive for Bella’s mother to sign away any legal rights she had to Bella’s sponsorships or any money she would get when Bella fired her as her manager.”Tanya told her.

“Something the stupid bitch was happy to do because she was a shit manager and Bella wasn’t bringing in that much money in sponsorships. Within a month of taking over her career Irina was in negation with Wilson and after a year Bella had her first custom pair of shoes from Nike on the market. She and Bella’s father have tried contacting Bella a few times for money because they blew though what they had but Irina just sicks our lawyers on them.”Kate felt justice had been served with Bella’s parents having nothing left of what they earned from Bella’s achievements.

“Bella has a restraining order against them so they can’t attend her matches so they really aren’t that big of a deal anymore.”Carmen said.

“That’s good to hear.”Rosalie would prefer to kill them but if she couldn’t at least they were being kept away from Bella.

Before anyone could say anything else Tanya’s phone ran. Seeing the caller Tanya stood.”Kate come with me.”

“Who is it?”Carmen asked.

“Irina.”Tanya told her.

“She’s probably calling for us to give Bella her prematch pep talk.”Kate was happy that she would get a chance to talk to Bella before her match.

“That’s why I’m taking this in my office so we can do a video call.”Tanya wasn’t pleased that they weren’t able to give Bella their support in person but wouldn’t miss out on the tradition just because they were apart.

“If I stand away from the screen can I come and listen?”Rosalie wanted a chance to hear her mate’s voice.

“What do you think?”Kate deferred to Tanya on that one.

Tanya took a moment to think it over.”If you say nothing and not be on camera.”

“Now wait just a minute. I already told Rosalie that she would not be able to interact in any way with Bella. So that means Rosalie will not be in the room during the call.”Carlisle didn’t care if Rosalie would only be listening he wasn’t letting Rosalie strengthen the bond between the pair.

Kate ignored Carlisle.“Come on Rosalie we only have 15 minutes.”

“Coming.”Rosalie shot up from her chair and raced after Kate.

“Rosalie get back here right this instance!”Carlisle demanded.

“If you try and do anything to prevent Rosalie or any other members of my family from doing anything I will take it as a personal insult and you will be forbidden from stepping foot on my territory ever again. I will use force if needed and if you tried to get physical with us I will bring down the might of the Volturi on your heads.”Tanya threatened.

“You have no right to tell me how to run my coven.”Carlisle told her.

“I’m not going to waste what little time I have to talk to Bella on you and your misguided beliefs.”Tanya turned her attention to Carmen.”If you have a problem get me right away.”

“I will.”Carmen had already sent a text to her mate to have him rejoin her in the living room.

“Good.”Tanya didn’t pay any attention to Carlisle or Edward who had joined his outrage with his sire’s. She knew there would be a confrontation but wanted to enjoy a few minutes with Bella and Irina before having to deal with it. Usually they would be with Bella the whole time and helping her with her prematch routine. It annoyed Tanya to no end that they were missing it for the second time at such an important time. They had all been dreaming of the Olympics right along with Bella and now that they had to miss the qualifiers it pissed not only Tanya off but the rest of the Denali and Bella as well. Tanya was actually hoping that the Cullens started something soon so they could send them on their way and fly out and see the rest of Bella’s matches from her family box. Maybe she would make mention of that to Kate and Carmen. Those two would be more than willing to antagonize the group. The only problem would be Rosalie but Tanya had been planning on offering her a place in the Denali. It had been discussed many times before and Tanya knew the others would support the suggestion. She would have to call a family meeting after the call. Then they could pull Rosalie aside and talk to her before they kicked the Cullens out. Then if they were lucky they would be seeing Bella’s final two matches in person.
