Match, Set, Love 1

“Carlisle and family welcome to our home. It’s good to see you.”Tanya lied. Watching as the Cullen coven which consisted of Carlisle, Esme, Edward, Alice, Jasper, Emmett, his mate Martha and Rosalie filed into her living room Tanya wished that she was able to tell them to stay away. She had put them off too long however and after 5 years of excuses she gave in for fear of them showing up without telling them first. That was something none of the Denali wanted. There were certain things that Tanya and her family didn’t want anyone to know especially the Cullens who couldn’t keep their mouths shut. That was why Tanya denied them the opportunity to visit. The only reason she was allowing it now was because Irina and Bella were away. That being another thing that irritated her about the Cullen’s visit. Tanya and Kate had been planning on going with the pair but instead they had to play nice with their cousins.

“It’s good to see you as well Tanya. It’s been way too long.”Carlisle knew that the Denali had been making excuses to keep them from visiting he just didn’t know why. It was something he planned on finding out while they were there.

“Why can’t I read your minds?”Edward had tried to use his gift on each of the Denali but it wasn’t working.

“What do you mean?”Carlisle asked Edward.

“I mean that they are somehow blocking my gift.”Edward did not like this new development either.

“Why are you violating our privacy by using your gift on us?”Tanya wasn’t going to tell Edward why his gift didn’t work on them.

“Because you have obviously been avoiding us and I want to know why.”It had been decided when the Denali gave them permission to visit that Edward would use his gift on them to figure out why they were being kept away.

“Did you ever think the reason we were avoiding you is we hate having to deal with you poking around in our heads?”Kate loved the fact that Edward couldn’t read her mind anymore.

“Jasper does your gift work on them?”Carlisle asked his son.

Jasper focused his gift on the four vampires.”No they aren’t reacting to it at all.”

“Whatever they did is probably why I haven’t been having visions of them either.”Alice had been trying to focus on the Denali for years but had never got more than static.

“How are you able to do this?”Carlisle wanted to know so he could have it done to himself and his coven.

“That’s none of your business.”Carmen shut that line of questioning down right away.

“We are your closest friends. If you found a way to block mental gifts it’s only logical that you would want us to have the same ability.”Carlisle said.

“You think you are our closest friends?”Kate laughed at the very idea.

“Of course. It’s well known that your coven is very isolated and doesn’t socialize with any covens other than us.”Carlisle had never heard of the Denali even speaking to another coven.

“Why would you think that?”Tanya had never heard anything so stupid.

“No one has ever mentioned speaking to you.”Carlisle would have known. He was extremely involved in the vampire world.

“Well you are very wrong. My family has many connections to other vampires and shifters.”Tanya told him.

“You have connections to shifters?”Carlisle asked.

“We don’t know the wolf pack that you have a treaty with but we do know other groups.”Tanya smiled at the look of shock that came over the Cullen’s faces.

“You know about the wolf pack?”Emmett didn’t think anyone knew about the wolf pack.

“Everyone knows about the wolf pack.”Kate said.

“Who is everyone?”Martha didn’t like others knowing about their alliance.

“Since I know what you are truly asking I will happily let you know that yes the Volturi know all about them. The queens have even sent scouts to observe them.”Kate was loving the fact that she knew all the Cullens secrets. It was just to bad Irina wasn’t there to rub it in their faces.

“How did the queens find out?”Carlisle wasn’t sure he believed the Denali. If the queens really knew they would have done something about it.

“The queens know everything. They have eyes everywhere and there is nowhere you can hide from them. They know what you are going to do before you even come up with a plan. They’re that good.”Kate had been told the queens had only been surprised once in their thousands of years ruling. That surprise being Bella.

“It seems like you are close to them.”Rosalie wasn’t sure what was going on with the Denali but it was making her uncomfortable. Normally she felt closer to the sisters than her own coven now though there was almost like a wall that her cousins had put between them. Rosalie hoped that they would at least tell her what was going on if they weren’t going to tell anyone else.

“We have an acquaintance in common.”Tanya said.

“Who would that be?”Carlisle didn’t understand why the Denali would have a relationship with the queens after what happened with their sire.

“None of your business.”Now it was Eleazar’s turn to shut down the questioning. He wasn’t a fan of Carlisle and his need to know everything. It was one of the reasons he usually traveled when the Cullens visited.

“If they know things about our coven it is our business.”Edward wanted to know who had been telling the Volturi their secrets.

“If you truly want to know then you will have to ask the queens.”Tanya told him.

“I will contact them soon.”Carlisle wanted to know who this person was who knew about his coven.

“You do that.”Tanya was looking forward to hearing about how that phone call went.

“So where is Irina?”Rosalie didn’t see any sign of the youngest sister.

“She is traveling at the moment.”Kate was pissed that she wasn’t traveling with her sister and had to deal with the Cullens.

“She’s traveling alone?”Rosalie had never known the sisters to travel by themselves. It was always at least the three of them when they went on vacation. Sometimes Eleazar and Carmen went with them but never did they go somewhere by themselves.

“She is with a friend.”Tanya was going to be meeting up with Irina and that friend as soon as she got rid of the Cullens.

“What friend?”Edward asked.

“Just a friend.”Tanya said.”Now why don’t you all take a seat.”

“Yeah we were just about to watch the Olympic qualifiers for women’s tennis.”Kate grabbed the remote and turned the tv on to the live matches.

“Since when do you guys like women’s tennis?”Emmett had tried many times to get the Denali to watch sports with him but they said that modern day sports were boring.

“Women’s tennis is a very challenging sport that only dedicated and talented athletes can compete in.”Kate thought with the effort and intense training tennis players put into being the best they deserved nothing but praise.

“What got you into the sport?”Alice had never heard of Kate or any of the Denali’s interest in professional sports.

“We met a professional tennis player that introduced us to it.”Tanya told them.

“You guys hang out with tennis players?”Martha thought that was the most unbelievable thing that the Denali had revealed during the visit.

“We only hang out with one tennis player.”Kate never put in the effort to make friends with the other players she was introduced to because of her loyalty to Bella. It wouldn’t do anyone good to let the enemy into their camp.

“Is this tennis player human?”Carlisle asked.

Tanya tensed at the question. She hated that the Cullens had chosen when they did to visit. It was Olympic qualifiers and there was no way any of the family was going to miss watching Bella’s matches live. That meant that she was going to have to reveal things she didn’t want to.”Yes she is human.”

“Does she know about vampires?”Rosalie didn’t understand what about her question made Kate laugh.

“Oh she knows about vampires alright.”Kate had been there for the big reveal. Bella had been so afraid she actually attacked Tanya and would have broken her fist if Irina didn’t restrain her. That didn’t stop Bella from struggling and while trying to wrangle her Irina had tripped and the pair had ended up in a snowbank.

Tanya smiled thinking about when they told Bella. Irina had been so nervous and in the end all it took was falling into the snow for the girl to calm down and listen.”She has known for years.”

“When is she going to be changed?”Carlisle flinched when Kate and Carmen growled at him.

“Bella will be changed when she is ready.”Tanya didn’t know when Bella would be changed as it was up to Bella when it happened and the girl was quite content being human. She worked hard for her tennis career and didn’t want to throw it away to become a vampire.

“Have you informed the queens?”Jasper asked.

“The queens know all about Bella and have given her their blessing to stay human as long as she wants to be.”Tanya told them.

“The queens don’t care that a human knows what we are?”Edward didn’t believe that for a second. It would be just like the Denali to break the law and try and hide it from the Volturi.

“The only thing that concerns the queens when it comes to Bella is that she stays healthy for the Olympics. We are all expecting her to bring home the gold.”Kate had a lot of money riding on Bella taking the top prize at the Olympics. Then again she usually had a lot of money riding on Bella’s matches and the tournaments she played in.

“Are you really expecting us to believe that the queens don’t care that a human knows about us?”Edward sure as hell didn’t.

“You are more than welcome to call them and ask. That is if you aren’t worried about them coming to kill you for putting Bella in danger.”Carmen knew the queens wouldn’t appreciate someone trying to get Bella killed even if it was because of one of their laws.

“You think the queens would kill him because he reported Bella?”Alice asked.

Kate shrugged.”It wouldn’t surprise me. They are very protective of the girl.”

“Why are they so interested in her?”Rosalie had never known the queens or the Denali to be interested in humans.

“It’s not our place to talk about their interests in Bella.”While Tanya knew that the queens had come to love Bella like she was their own daughter that wasn’t the whole reason they let Bella stay human. The reason Bella had peeked their interests being something that Tanya, her family and the queens wouldn’t reveal to anyone. It was way to dangerous.

“So she is gifted?”Carlisle concluded.

“Bella is one of a kind and not someone you should worry yourself with as you most likely will never meet her.”Carmen said.

Just as Tanya was going to say something her phone chimed. Reading the text message she sighed.”Kate, Irina told me that you need to make sure you watch because Bella is going to be paying off her debt for the bet she lost to you before they left.”

“She’s doing it now?!”Kate wouldn’t have thought that Bella would have done anything until after the Olympics.

“Not only is she doing it but she says that if she loses it will be because you jinxed her.”Tanya told her.

“This is going to be so great.”Kate checked the tv making sure that they were recording everything.

“What’s going on?”Emmett knew if Kate won a bet the punishment was going to be awesome.

“Bella and Kate like to bet on everything. Before she and Irina left for the qualifiers they played the game Life. Bella lost and because of that she had to wear a shirt that Kate picked out to play a match in. We all thought that she would wait until the Olympics were over to do it but apparently she is doing it today.”Tanya wasn’t pleased that Bella was messing around on such an important day.

“Is Bella really going to make it to the Olympics?”Martha asked.

“She is the number one ranked women’s tennis player in the world and has been since she was 16. She has won every major title you could win on the junior circuit. For the last two years she has ruled the adult circuit and even her competitors claim she is going to win the gold.”Carmen fully expected Bella to be standing on the top of the podium once the matches were over.

“She actually hasn’t lost a match in four years and the only reason she lost that one was because Irina decided to wear a tight shirt that showed off a lot of cleavage that distracted Bella. Distracted her so bad that she got drilled in the stomach by a tennis ball.”Kate had laughed until she cried when she saw it happen.

“Poor Irina felt so guilty.”Tanya knew her sister felt bad about causing Bella to lose a match. That and a little bit smug that she could affect Bella so much.

“I don’t know why you are saying poor Irina. It was Bella who got all the teasing. Athenodora brings it up every time we see her.”Carmen said.

“I have to give the queen credit she comes up with some really good lines.”Kate was good at teasing people but Athenodora was on another level. The queen was ruthless and came up with things Kate would have never thought off.

“Other than playing tennis what’s Bella like?”Alice was curious about what type of human could get the attention of not only the Denali but the queens as well.

“Bella is pretty mellow. She spends most to her time training or watching replays of matches. Tennis really is her life. She loves it more than anything. We have to actually force her to take time away from the game to do other things. Other than that she is smart, funny, loves animals and is a huge comic book fan.”Tanya told them.

“She likes comic books?”Emmett loved comic books but didn’t know anyone else who read them.

“Bella loves comic books and movies and tv shows based on them. She actually convinced Irina to take her to San Diego comic con last year.”Kate had wanted to go but she was grounded after an incident with Bella’s weight machine and a hot tub.

“She travels with Irina a lot it seems.”Rosalie thought that was weird because Irina was very shy and didn’t speak much to anyone but her family. She was nice to the Cullens but she wasn’t one to reach out to begin a conversation. For her to be close enough to a human that she traveled without her sisters was very odd.

“Irina and Bella are very close. Irina actually took over as Bella’s manager a couple months after they met.”Tanya told them.

“Yeah real close.”Kate thought saying the mated pair were close was the understatement of the century. She would be very happy when they finally went public now that Bella was 18.

“Does Irina know anything about managing a tennis player’s career?”Esme asked.

“Irina is a great manager. Bella’s old one was her mother and she was a shit person. With Irina’s help Bella has been pulling in tons of cash in endorsement deals.”Kate lifted up her leg to show off her shoes.”These are actually her shoes.”

Emmett looked at the shoes in awe.”She has a deal with Nike?”

“Nike, Gatorade, Wilson, Rolex, Jaguar, some other little names as well.”Kate listed off.

“She works for Jaguar?”Rosalie wondered what Bella got as part of the deal.

Kate nodded.”She got her pick of any new car she wanted after she signed the paperwork.”

“What did she pick?”Rosalie asked.

“She got Irina a F-type convertible R75. Completely tricked out in every way it could be. Then she had it customized by a famous car shop in California that added a bunch of other stuff to it.”Kate had fought for ownership of the car but Irina wouldn’t give it up. It was Bella’s promise of letting Kate help design her shoes that made her give up the fight. Having people wear something that she designed was a lot cooler than a car that would eventually stop working.

“Why did she give the car to Irina?”Rosalie wouldn’t have given the car up to anyone.

“Bella isn’t allowed to drive.”Tanya told her.

“Why isn’t she allowed to drive?”Jasper asked.

“There was an incident involving Bella and a motorcycle that lost her the privilege of ever driving a motor vehicle again.”Tanya still felt panicked when she thought of the what happened. They were very close to losing Bella that day and although it led to finding out some extraordinary things about the human Tanya wished it never happened. Even though it did give Bella the queens full protection.

“Then why does she represent a car company?”Emmett didn’t understand why someone who didn’t drive would be the face of a car company.

“Because Irina loves Jaguars.”Carmen knew that love for them came from Irina’s first time seeing Bella as that was the type of car Irina was driving when she saw Bella’s face on a billboard for a cereal ad.

“Does she get a lot of free stuff?”Alice wondered if Bella got free clothes as well.

”She gets all kinds of free stuff. All her gear is given to her by Wilson. She also gets unlimited free clothes, shoes and accessories from Nike. Since signing the contract I get limited edition sneakers in my size before they are released to the public.”Kate showed off her watch.”This watch is one of over a dozen Bella has gotten from Rolex. Plus she gets us all kinds of other cool stuff from events and places she goes.”

“Does she give all the stuff to you guys?”Martha asked.

“Bella enjoys spoiling those she cares about.”Tanya knew that Bella liked to give things to the family. It made her feel like a contributing member of the coven.

“What I don’t get is how did she become so involved with you guys?”Edward didn’t understand how the Denali had formed a relationship with the human.

“Irina met Bella by chance one day and they hit it off. She then introduced Bella to us soon after and we have had Bella in our life since then.”Tanya lied. Irina had purposely sought Bella out and spoke to her. The Cullens didn’t need to know that though.

“Where does Bella live?”Carlisle wasn’t sure he believed Tanya’s story of Irina randomly speaking to a human. Irina usually went out of her way to avoid people not develop relationships with them.

“Bella lives with us in Alaska for most of the year but we travel with her for her different tournaments and if she needs to go somewhere to train as the Alaskan weather isn’t always the best place to get ready for playing in the heat.”Tanya explained.

“Bella lives with you?”Rosalie looked around the living room and didn’t see any evidence of a human living there.

Tanya noticed Rosalie looking around.”All of her trophies and metals are kept in a room we added onto the house for such a purpose. As for pictures most of those are in our private areas. Bella keeps her personal items in her room. She hates when things are out of place.”

“She is really big on organization.”Kate had to deal with many of Bella’s angry rants about not putting her things away.

“It’s not a surprise with her upbringing.”Carmen blamed Bella’s parents for her over the top reactions to things being out of place.

“It’s starting.”Eleazar said.

Kate turned up the volume on the tv.”This is going to be so great.”

“What are we looking for?”Emmett wanted to know what Kate was having Bella wear so he didn’t miss it.

“You’ll see.”Kate laughed when she caught sight of Bella walking out of the tunnel.”She actually wore it.”

“Kate Denali Is My Hero.”Alice read out loud the words bedazzled across the back of Bella’s shirt.

”Is she going to wear that the whole match?”Esme didn’t think it would be a good idea to wear it while playing.

“That was the bet.”Kate was very happy that Bella wore the shirt at such an important match as it would get millions of viewers.

Rosalie watched the human in interest wondering what exactly about her that caught the Denali’s attention. The girl was in good shape from what she could tell from seeing only her back. Rosalie just wasn’t sure what was so special about her that the Denali and the queens were willing to break the law for her. Bella finished whatever she was doing with her bag and when she turned towards the camera and Rosalie got a look at her face her breath caught in her throat.”Holy shit.”

“What is it?”Martha asked.

“She’s gorgeous.”Rosalie couldn’t take her eyes off Bella.

“I guess she’s pretty for a human but she’s no vampire.”Alice jumped into Jasper’s arms when Rosalie growled at her.

“She is much prettier than any vampire I’ve ever seen.”Rosalie didn’t think anyone compared to Bella.

“Are you alright Rosalie?”Jasper was confused by Rosalie’s emotions as they were ones he had never felt from her before.

“I’m fine. I just think that Bella is a hell of lot more beautiful than any human, vampire or supernatural I have ever seen.”Rosalie told him.

“Even yourself?”Martha asked.

“I don’t even hold a candle to Bella’s beauty.”Rosalie said.

“OK.”Alice wasn’t sure what was going on with Rosalie but something was. Her sister was incredibly vain and would never claim someone else to be more beautiful than she was.

“Be quiet Bella’s playing.”Rosalie leaned forward in her seat to see the tv better.”Who’s her opponent?”

“The number 9 seed. Bella is predicted to take this without much effort.”Kate told her.

“It wouldn’t take Bella much effort to beat anyone.”Rosalie knew that Bella could win against anyone they put against her.

“How would you know that? She hasn’t even started playing yet.”Edward didn’t know why Rosalie was so enthusiastic about some human tennis player.

“I can tell she is amazing at anything she tries to do. It doesn’t matter if it’s tennis or tying her shoes. Bella is an exceptional human.”Rosalie told him.

“Since when did you become so pro human?”Emmett had stepped in many times to deal with humans for Rosalie as she was very vocal about her hatred of them.

“Bella is the best humanity has to offer.”Rosalie told him.

“Alright not that I’m arguing that Bella isn’t the greatest but what the fuck is up with you? Why are you so fixated on Bella?”Kate didn’t think that the way Rosalie was acting was natural.

“Nothing is up with me. I just think that Bella is a phenomenal human who deserves to be praised for her many achievements.”Rosalie was already making plans to join Bella’s official fan club. If she didn’t have one Rosalie would just start one for her.

“Tanya what the hell?”Kate figured if anyone knew what was happening it would be the oldest vampire in the room.

Tanya had an inkling of what was going on as this was the same way Irina acted after she saw Bella on that billboard. She wasn’t sure she liked it however.”When did you decide that Bella was so talented?”

“Once I saw her on tv it was obvious.”Rosalie said.

“Jasper what are Rosalie’s emotions telling you?”Tanya asked the empath.

Jasper focused his gift on Rosalie.”Oddly enough she is feeling the feelings of a newly mated vampire.”

“Why would she be feeling like that?”Carlisle couldn’t think of a reason for Rosalie to feel like she was newly mated.

“Because she saw Bella on tv.”Tanya told him.

“What does Bella have to do with this?”Edward asked.

Kate knew exactly what Bella had to do with this and couldn’t wait until her sister found out.“Oh man Irina is going to be so pissed when she finds out.”

“What is going on?”Alice was frustrated that no one would tell them what was happening.

“It isn’t unheard of for people to make bonds with others by seeing a picture of them or watching them on video.”Tanya explained.

“You can’t be serious!!”Edward couldn’t believe that Rosalie found her mate. He deserved one a lot more than she did.

“What are you talking about?”Rosalie asked.

“I am pretty sure that you are mated to Bella and that when you saw her on tv your bond slipped into place for you.”Tanya told her.

“I found my mate?”Rosalie was confused. She had never heard of forming bonds through video before. Thinking about her feelings towards Bella she realized that they were what had been described to her about what it felt to be newly mated.

“I think you have. Of course we won’t know for sure until you meet in person. Something that will not be happening any time soon as Bella is in the beginning of her qualifiers and doesn’t need the distraction.”Tanya wasn’t going to let Rosalie distract Bella from her Olympic goals.

“If Bella is my mate I have a right to meet her in person.”Rosalie wasn’t going to be kept away from her mate.

“Look I may not understand what it feels like to finally find my mate. However I do know you would feel horrible if you were the cause of Bella not achieving a goal that she’s had since she was 4 years old and saw her first tennis match. A goal that she has sacrificed her entire life to succeeding. So I am going to ask you as one of Bella’s closest friends would you please hold off from telling Bella about the mate bond until after she qualifies for the Olympics?”Tanya didn’t want Rosalie distracting Bella at such an important time.

Rosalie sighed.”I don’t like it but you’re right I would feel horrible if I was the cause of Bella not achieving her goals.”

“If you want to impress Bella when you meet her you should learn all you can about tennis.”Kate suggested.

“I’m going to.”Rosalie wasn’t going to rest until she knew everything there was to know about the game.

“It won’t matter if Rosalie knows about tennis because as a member of our coven Bella will be changed right away and won’t be playing anymore.”Edward said.

“Bella is not a member of your coven and when she is changed isn’t up to you.”Tanya told him.

“Rosalie is a Cullen. That means Bella will be a Cullen and we don’t allow humans into our family. Unlike you we follow the laws.”Edward wasn’t going to allow the queens to target them over a human.

“Bella will never be a Cullen. She is first and foremost a Volturi and I doubt the queens would be willing to give her up to a weak coven such as yourselves.”Tanya knew for a fact that the queens would never give up their claim on Bella. The only reason she wasn’t forced to live at the castle was because the queens fell in love with Bella the moment they laid eyes on her and would do anything to make the human happy. If you saw them interact with Bella you would think they had a familiar bond they were so close. Tanya however knew they didn’t. Bella had just won them over with her personality and attributes.

“If Bella were truly a Volturi she would live at the castle.”Edward knew that if the Volturi claimed the human she wouldn’t be allowed to travel around the world playing tennis.”She definitely wouldn’t still be human.”

“Edward makes a good point. If this Bella girl is claimed by the queens they wouldn’t let her be in the world unprotected.”Carlisle said.

“Bella isn’t unprotected. She has a full contingent of guards with her at all times.”Tanya had been wary of having the Volturi guards with them so much but understood that Bella was a very valuable human and would need more than she and her sisters to protect her if anyone ever found out the reason the queens didn’t mind her staying human.

Rosalie was instantly on alert hearing that.“Why does Bella need guards? Is she in danger?”

“Bella is a high profile sports star that has the same amount of fans as some of the most famous celebrities. She has been traveling with security since she was 8 after an incident with an overzealous fan. Even if she wasn’t claimed by the queens she would have a had a full contingent of guards. They just would have been humans not vampires.”Tanya told her.

“Those guards have come in handy numerous times keeping Bella from being overwhelmed with the crowds that form around her.”Kate still found it hard to wrap her head around the fact that the dorky, awkward teenage girl they met all those years ago was such a famous and influential person in the world.

“The only reason they could walk around San Diego comic con was because they were dressed up.”Carmen said.

“That’s another thing. It’s sunny in San Diego.”Edward pointed to the tv.”And at the match Bella is playing in right now. How are the guards able to protect her without being exposed?”

Tanya sighed. Yet another thing was about to be revealed that she wanted to keep secret.”Bella has a gift. A side effect of that gift is that it blocks uv rays for a distance around her. Meaning that she prevents vampires’ skin from sparkling in the sun if they stay within a certain distance of her.”

“Wait she can make it so we don’t sparkle?”Martha had never heard of a gift like that before.

“With Bella’s help we have traveled all over the world visiting places we never had the chance before.”Kate still had a list of places to visit that they hadn’t gone to yet. It was actually her turn to pick the next vacation. That wouldn’t happen until after the Olympics.

“That’s so rad.”Emmett was very jealous that the Denali got to travel that way.

“Do you think Bella would take us on some trips we want to go on?”Alice asked.

“Bella is focused on the Olympics right now. Traveling is the furthest thing from her mind.”Carmen told her.

“Yeah but after the Olympics she could take us somewhere.”Alice said.

“Bella will not be going on trips with you. Her life is very scheduled and she doesn’t have time to go gallivanting around the world with a bunch of random vampires.”Tanya wasn’t going to let Bella to be exploited for her gift.

“We aren’t random vampires. We are Rosalie’s family and as Rosalie’s mate Bella is a part of our family.”Emmett didn’t see a problem with Bella traveling with them.

“Bella is not part of your family. If Rosalie wishes she will be allowed to travel with Bella but the rest of you will not be invited to go.”Tanya knew that Bella wouldn’t want to even meet the Cullens let alone travel with them.

“Now wait a minute. Even if Bella is a part of the Volturi her mate bond to Rosalie overrules those ties and makes her a Cullen. That means she is a member of my coven and I decide who she travels with. Not you or the queens.”Carlisle wasn’t going to let anyone take the ability of being able to travel where they wanted away from his family.

”You think you have any say in what Bella does?”Kate laughed at the very idea.

“Through the mate bond I am her coven leader.”Carlisle knew the laws and Bella being human gave Rosalie the right to make all decisions concerning Bella. That meant as Rosalie’s coven leader Carlisle was in charge of Bella.

“Please can I be there when you try and claim Bella in front of the queens.”Kate didn’t want to miss the queens’ reaction.

“The laws are clear. Bella is human that means Rosalie decides what happens to her and Rosalie of course would never leave the family.”Carlisle wouldn’t let Rosalie leave even if she wanted to after finding out about Bella’s gift.

“I hate to ruin your plans but Bella is already mated and that person has more of a claim than Rosalie.”Tanya wasn’t going to speak about Irina’s mate bond with Bella but she wanted to stop Carlisle from thinking he had any right to Bella.

“What are you talking about?”Rosalie asked.

“You are Bella’s second mate. She already is bonded to Irina. Which was confirmed by Didyme and the reason Bella is allowed to live with us.”Tanya told her.

“You lie.”Edward knew Tanya was just trying to steal Bella from them.

“I’m not lying. Irina found out by bonding with a billboard that had a cereal ad featuring Bella. After Irina made contact with her we informed the queens of the situation and because Bella was only 14 at the time we were given permission to let her stay human as she was too young to be changed. A year later we brought Bella to Italy where she met the queens and Didyme confirmed the bond. Bella was then officially adopted by the queens and given the title of Volturi princess. So Carlisle as you can see you have no claim on Bella.”Tanya told them.

“You can’t be mated to more than one person.”Edward said.

“The queens are all mated to each other you idiot.”Kate reminded him.

“I believe in this case however that Rosalie and Irina are only mated to Bella and not each other.”Eleazar said.

“What does it mean for me if Bella already has a mate?”Rosalie believed Tanya was being truthful she just didn’t know how she fit in Bella’s life if she was already mated.

“Bella won’t reject you. She will happily welcome you into her life. It’s up to you on how you want to be a part of that life because Bella has already chosen her path and she won’t be giving up her dreams for you. You will have to deal with the fact that your mate won’t be able to give you all the time and attention you want because Bella barely has time to sleep with how busy she is preparing for the Olympics.”Tanya knew that Bella wouldn’t mind having another mate she just didn’t have time to fit someone else’s needs in her schedule.

“What about when the Olympics are over?”Rosalie didn’t want Bella to give up her dreams but wanted to spend time with her mate.

“After she wins the gold there will be a press tour and a bunch of events she will have to attend. Then it will be back to training for the next tournament.”Tanya hated that Bella wouldn’t have that long of a break but things were especially busy during Olympic years.

“Does she really spend that much time playing tennis?”Alice figured that Rosalie could convince Bella to take them on trips.

“She is ranked number one in a sport that is played all year round. Sometimes she plays in two tournaments in a single month. You can’t survive the first round let alone win if you aren’t in the best shape of your life and to be that you have to train hard. Even on her rest days Bella runs 5 miles and when we go on vacation she spends half of each day in the gym. I can guarantee there isn’t a second of the day that Bella doesn’t think about tennis. The girl has admitted that she even dreams about playing.”Kate knew that Bella wasn’t going to give up the sport any time soon either. She loved playing too much.

“Even if the queens adopted her why are they ok with her staying human? We have all heard of them executing vampires for breaking that law.”Edward said.

“Their reasons are their own. It’s not our place to tell you.”Tanya would never tell anyone why the queens kept Bella human. Especially Edward as the boy would go out of his way to target Bella if he knew.

“I have a right to know as Rosalie’s mate anything related to Bella could affect us.”Carlisle knew if the queens were allowing Bella to stay human they had a very good reason for it. A reason that benefited the royals and would most likely benefit his coven as well.

“Take it up with the queens.”Kate told him.”Now if you guys are done talking I’m going to restart Bella’s match so we can see it from he beginning.”

“I’m going to excuse myself to go call the queens.”Carlisle was going to get to the bottom of why Bella was so important no matter what it took.

“Have fun with that.”Carmen called after him.

“Do you think Bella’s shirt is going to be talked about in the post match press conference?”Kate asked.

“I think that your name is going to known world wide by the end of the day.”Tanya said. Pulling her attention to the tv Tanya watched as Bella returned a serve. The girl was very talented and Tanya had no doubt that she would be qualifying. She had already reserved rooms at the best hotel in Paris for the family. They needed to work out if Bella would have to stay in the Olympic village or if she would be able to stay with them. Tanya hoped that Bella could stay with them because she didn’t want to have to deal with the headache of getting the guard and Irina permission to stay with her. She would now have to worry about Rosalie as well. That being another issue she wasn’t pleased was thrust in her lap. It wasn’t that she didn’t like Rosalie because she did. It was just with Rosalie came all the other Cullens and Tanya knew that they would bring many problems with them. Hopefully the queens would take care of them and Tanya and the rest of the Denali could enjoy watching Bella’s journey to Olympic gold. Preferably without the Cullens.
