Death's Visit 11

“What do you think you are doing?!”Rosalie sighed when she heard Edward’s angry voice. She had naively thought that since they had almost finished packing the truck with their stuff that they would be able to leave without having to deal with him, Carlisle or Esme. That wasn’t happening and Rosalie was considering having Isabella taking them to Alaska instead of driving there. Her mate did say she could take items with her so they wouldn’t have to leave anything they wanted behind. Not that it would be polite to ask Isabella to do it for them. Although knowing Isabella she probably would if it would make Rosalie happy.

“We are packing our things so we can leave.”Emmett told him from inside the truck where he and Alice were organizing everything.

“Those are not your things.”Edward said.

“Yes they are.”Rosalie set the box on the truck and turned her attention to Edward preparing herself for a fight.

“Carlisle is the one who paid for everything with his own hard earned money. That means everything belongs to him not you.”Edward wasn’t going to let the four traitors take anything with them when they left.

“If you want to get technical Alice and I paid for most of our stuff ourselves.”Jasper had walked away from the newborn wars with most of Maria’s assets and although he split it three ways with Peter and Charlotte he was left with enough to provide himself and Alice a comfortable lifestyle. They weren’t that wealthy by vampire standard but they could cover the necessities and a few luxuries.

“You also owe Carlisle rent money for allowing you to live with him all these decades. Plus money to pay for all the cars that he bought for you to use.”Edward tried to think of other things that the group needed to pay Carlisle for.

”You think we should pay Carlisle for being a part of the coven?”Rosalie laughed at the very idea.

Edward nodded.”You owe him.”

“If that’s true then Alice, Jasper and Emmett should be compensated for their role in keeping our coven safe.”Rosalie told him.

“Those three never kept us safe. It was me who protected the coven.”Edward was the reason the family was never attacked not Jasper, Alice and Emmett.

“More like you put us in danger.”Emmett said.

“I never put you in danger. I have always been the one to detect threats and had us move on before we were exposed.”Edward had stepped in numerous times to save the family.

“Thankfully we don’t have to worry about you making any more decisions on what we do.”Alice was happy that they were able to finally settle into one place. She hated moving around so often. The fact that Rosalie agreed to let her, Jasper and Emmett to be a part of planning the family home she was building made the situation even better.

“Yeah now we can do whatever we want.”Emmett was looking forward to finally have a place to call his own that he got to design himself.

“And what exactly is it that you are going to do?”Carlisle asked as he and Esme joined the group.

“None of your business.”Rosalie wasn’t going to tell the trio anything about their plans.

“It is my business as your choices could affect us.”Carlisle wanted to know what the four were planning so he could figure out a way to stop them from leaving.

“More like your choices could affect us.”Jasper expected Carlisle and Edward to do something to force them to rejoin the coven.

“I finished packing all your linens and pillows.”Isabella said as she walked out of the house carrying three boxes.

Rosalie rushed over to help her with the boxes.”You didn’t have to bring any boxes out sweetheart.”

“It’s no big deal I can easily carry things.”Isabella was a lot stronger than a vampire.

Carlisle immediately perked up when he caught sight of Isabella.”You must be Isabella.”

“Yes I am.”Isabella confirmed.

“You don’t look like a grim reaper.”Edward took Isabella’s appearance as the woman not being a grim reaper.

“Oh she’s a grim reaper alright.”Alice had seen more than enough proof to believe that Isabella was what she claimed to be.

“She seems to me like a normal human.”Edward didn’t see anything that would cause him to think Isabella was any kind of supernatural.

“Dude she doesn’t even have a heartbeat.”Emmett pointed out.

“That doesn’t mean anything.”Edward said.

Jasper laughed.”Her not having heart beat doesn’t mean anything?”

“It could be some kind of gift she has.”Edward figured that Isabella was gifted and that was why he couldn’t hear her heartbeat.

“Well use your gift to read her mind and find out.”Alice suggested.

Edward shifted uncomfortably.”I can’t.”

“What do you mean you can’t?”Esme asked.

“I mean that just like Rosalie she is blocking me somehow.”Edward hated to admit that his gift didn’t work.

“Are you the one who gave Rosalie the ability as well?”If she was Carlisle was definitely not going to let anyone leave his coven. It would make Isabella way to valuable to lose.

Isabella shook her head.”I did not.”

“How did it happen then?”Carlisle wanted to know so he could have it done to himself.

“It’s none of you business how it happened.”Rosalie wasn’t going to tell anyone that her guardian angel was the one who gave her the block.

“I am your coven leader. I order you to tell me how you gained the block.”Carlisle demanded.

“You aren’t my coven leader.”Rosalie told them.

“I am all of your coven leader.”Carlisle wasn’t going to give them up without a fight.

“If anyone is our coven leader it’s Rosalie.”Emmett knew he was going to vote for her if it came down to it.

“She is the one who is taking care of us.”Alice was in agreement with Emmett. She wanted Rosalie to be their coven leader.

“I would gladly follow her.”Jasper agreed.

“Rosalie is too weak to be a coven leader.”If anyone should be a coven leader it should be Edward not Rosalie.

“You the man who murders innocents thinks that Rosalie is weak?”Isabella thought Edward was not only weak but a coward as well.

“I never murdered innocent people.”Edward knew all his victims were guilty.

“I have confirmed with the gatekeepers of heaven and hell that 9 of the people you murdered were innocent.”Isabella told him.

“You have no way of knowing that.”Edward said.

“Out of all of us a grim reaper would be the one who would know.”Alice said.

“She’s not a grim reaper.”Edward didn’t believe for a second Isabella was a grim reaper.

“Love, would you be willing to show Edward your reaper form?”Rosalie hated asking but it was the only way to prove it to Edward.

Isabella smiled hearing Rosalie’s term of endearment. She found that she liked that Rosalie wasn’t shy to show affection when speaking to her. It had Isabella looking forward to finally being able to have feelings so she could return that affection.”Of course if you would like.”

“Thanks.”Rosalie was almost dumbstruck seeing Isabella smile. It was the first one she had ever seen but hoped it wouldn’t be the last.

“Wait if you are going to change I want to see.”Emmett called out as he rushed out of the truck. He squealed in delight once he got his first look of Isabella in her reaper form.”Holy shit. You look so rad!!”

Rosalie smirked at Edward’s shocked expression.”Now do you believe she is a grim reaper Edward?”

“She.. I.. It doesn’t…”Edward stuttered out.

“I believe it.”Carlisle had no doubt that Isabella was a grim reaper. Getting proof made him much more determined to make her a part of his coven.

“What can you do with your scythe?”Emmett asked.

“I can use it to cut through reality to open up portholes to whatever place I want. To include heaven and hell. It is also a weapon that aides me in my job to collect souls. Although I don’t like to use it for that as I’m told the wounds it inflicts are extremely painful.” Isabella wasn’t a fan of causing anyone pain. No matter what sins they committed.

“You can hurt someone’s soul?”Alice didn’t think a soul was able to be hurt. Then again if hell was real they were punished.

”Souls are very sensitive. They feel pain more intensely than in their living bodies.”Isabella explained.

“If you visit heaven and hell does that mean you have met God?”Carlisle hoped if Isabella did she would introduce him.

“I speak to him and Satan often.”Isabella was well known to bring both things from the human world.

“Can you arrange a meeting for me?”Carlisle figured if he spoke to God then he could convince him to give him the power to keep his coven together and maybe even add others to it.

Emmett laughed.”You think God would waste his time talking to you?”

“Out of all of us Carlisle is the most worthy of speaking to God.”Edward knew that God would feel honored to have a conversation with Carlisle.

“I doubt God would want to meet with some random vampire.”Jasper said.

“Yeah if God wanted to talk to you wouldn’t he have already done it?”Alice thought God would have already reached out to Carlisle if he was going to.”Right Isabella?”

“God doesn’t concern himself with mortals of such insignificance like you are Carlisle. As it is the only person he has ever asked me to bring to him is Rosalie but that is after we have completed our bonding.”Isabella told them.

“God wants to speak to me?”Rosalie couldn’t think of what God would want to talk to her about.

“He wants to personally meet the person that was chosen to be my mate. He is actually very excited about it and wanted the meeting to happen soon. I was able to push it off as I know you are busy with moving and settling into your new living conditions with your brothers and sister.”Isabella was looking forward to introducing Rosalie as she knew that God would be just as impressed with Rosalie as Isabella was.”Satan has also requested a meeting but he wants us to go when we have at least a week free.”

“Why do we need to have a whole week free?”Rosalie asked.

“He plans on throwing a huge celebration in your honor that will include many events and feasts. All of the festivities are going to happen throughout the course of the week so that you will be able to attend all of them.”Isabella explained.

“Why would Satan want to hold a celebration in honor of Rosalie?”Emmett couldn’t think of any reason for Satan to throw a party for Rosalie.

“Rosalie is highly respected in hell. Demons beg to get the chance to punish the souls of her victims. When she decided to start killing again after so many decades since killing her first victims a party was held.”Isabella had made an appearance at the party to tell everyone the details of how the murders happened.

“That’s why Gene wanted a picture with you.”Alice now understood why Gene was such a fan girl over Rosalie.

“If you can bring Rosalie to hell can you take us too?”Emmett wanted a chance to party with a bunch of demons and Satan.

“That would be up to Rosalie.”Isabella was going to defer to Rosalie when it came to allowing her coven mates to do anything.

“Rosalie can we please go to the festival with you?”Alice like Emmett wanted a chance to party with Satan and a bunch of demons.

“I don’t have a problem with it.”Rosalie didn’t think Alice and Emmett could get into to much trouble visiting hell.

Emmett gave Alice a high five.”We are going to have so much fun!”

“I hope Gene is there when we go.”Alice wouldn’t mind seeing him again.

“Can you bring others to heaven as well?”Esme was interested in seeing her son again.

“That would once again be up to Rosalie.”Isabella told her.

“It’s not happening.”Rosalie shut that idea down right away.

“Why would you keep us from heaven?”Edward asked.

“First off I wouldn’t take you anywhere least of all heaven. Second there is no way I can trust any of you to behave around God and a bunch of angels.”Rosalie knew if she allowed it her family would get kicked out within the first few minutes of the visit.

“Myself, Edward and Esme are the only ones worthy enough to visit heaven.”Carlisle deserved the chance to visit not only heaven but to speak to God more than anyone. Definitely more than Rosalie.

“I honestly doubt Edward would be allowed as St. Peter wouldn’t want to upset the souls of his victims.”Isabella thought because of his lack of remorse Edward would be denied access to heaven.

“None of my victims’ souls went to heaven.”Edward firmly believed that everyone he killed went to hell after they died.

“That is untrue. As I already told you 9 of them did and because of that a very painful afterlife awaits you when you die.”Isabella knew that Edward wasn’t going to be treated well. He didn’t regret what he did and made no effort to repent.

“I will be going to heaven when I die.”Edward was sure that God approved of what he did and that he had a very comfortable afterlife waiting for him.

“I guess the only way to prove it would be for you to die. Something I would personally volunteer to help you with.”Emmett would love the chance to take Edward’s head.

“Edward isn’t dying. When Isabella takes him, Esme and myself to heaven we will get all the proof we need.”Carlisle told him.

“Isabella isn’t bringing you anywhere. Especially not heaven.”Rosalie wasn’t going to allow Isabella to travel with anyone other than Emmett, Alice, Jasper and maybe the Denali. Edward, Carlisle and Esme weren’t worthy enough to benefit from her mate’s abilities.

“Then she can’t take you anywhere either.”Carlisle wouldn’t let any of his coven members do something he, Esme and Edward couldn’t do.

Japer laughed.”You think you can control what a grim reaper does?”

“As Rosalie’s mate Isabella is a part of my coven and as the coven leader I decide who she can travel with.”Carlisle said.

Emmett joined in on Jasper’s laughter with Alice and Rosalie following right after him.”Even if that was true which it’s not I doubt you of all people could tell Isabella what to do.”

“I answer to God and Satan. No one else.”Isabella didn’t take orders from mortals.

“So you don’t have an angel or demon supervisor?”Alice would have thought that grim reapers answered to someone other than God and Satan.

“In the celestial hierarchy only God and Satan have more power and respect than grim reapers. Angels and demons are considered lesser beings. Mortals are at the bottom of the ladder.”Isabella explained.

“I didn’t realize reapers were so powerful.”Rosalie now understood why Isabella told her that demons would do her bidding when she told her about Gene.

“We are incorruptible beings who can’t be manipulated or bribed because we have no emotions or desires. Angels, demons and humans are ruled by theirs. It makes them vulnerable to others and they can’t be completely trusted.”Isabella didn’t trust anyone other than God, Satan, her fellow reapers and Rosalie of course. From what she understood mates couldn’t lie to each other and it was almost impossible to hurt your mate physically or emotionally. That made it easy to trust Rosalie.

“How does the mate bond work if you don’t have emotions or desires?”Alice asked.

“That is something private that I don’t want to discuss in front of everyone.”Rosalie would explain the bonding ceremony to the others later but not in front of Carlisle, Edward and Esme.

Alice easily understood what Rosalie was saying.”I’ll ask you later.”

“That being said let’s get the rest of this stuff put into the truck so we can go.”Rosalie didn’t want to stick around any longer than she had to.

“You aren’t leaving until you tell me where you are going.”Carlisle needed to know so that he knew where to find them when he figured out how to get them back into the coven.

“Where were are going and what we are doing once we get there is none of your concern.”Rosalie wasn’t going to tell Carlisle anything.

“And as I told you before as your coven leader anything you do in the future could affect the coven.”Carlisle reminded her.

“Seriously what’s it going to take to get it through your head that we aren’t part of your coven anymore?”Emmett asked.

“The only way for you to leave the coven is by death or with my permission. Permission I did not give any of you.”Carlisle would never give the four of them and Isabella up.

“Regardless of what you believe you don’t own us and if you try anything to keep us I will not hesitate to do what needs to be done to protect myself and the rest of my coven. A coven that doesn’t include you, Edward or Esme.”Jasper wouldn’t hold back if the trio tried something.

Edward scoffed.“You think you are any kind of threat to us?”

“I think that it would be stupid to test whether I am or not.”Jasper said.

“No one will be tested if you comply with my orders.”Carlisle told him.

“Yeah that’s not happening.”Emmett wasn’t going to do anything Carlisle said.

“Then it seems we have a problem.”Carlisle wasn’t worried about winning a fight against the four of them. Edward could handle Jasper and Carlisle was a better fighter than the other three. With Esme’s help it would be easy to subdue them.

“We don’t have a problem. You have a problem.”Alice didn’t want to fight. She would if it came to it but she preferred not to.

“The only problem I will have is with the four of you if you don’t tell me where you are going.”Carlisle was in no way going to let them go without him having a way to find them.

“There are actually five of us.”Emmett corrected.

“Isabella isn’t included in this as it has nothing to do with grim reaper business.”Carlisle knew that Isabella wouldn’t get involved because it wasn’t part of God’s mission.

“Rosalie is my mate. That makes it not only grim reaper business but angel and demon business as well.”As grim reapers having mates was so rare those that did their mates were treated with the upmost respect and were protected by all. Isabella being so loved made Rosalie even more precious to angels and demons.

“Does that mean you can call on a bunch of demons to take care of these jokers?”Emmet hoped so because he wanted to see demons in action.

“I can easily deal with the three of them myself.”Isabella didn’t need anyone’s help to take care of three vampires. She wouldn’t need anyone’s help to take care of an army of them.

“I doubt that God would appreciate you getting involved with the affairs of mortals.”Carlisle said.

“Rosalie is no mere mortal. She has God and Satan’s favor. Even if she wasn’t my mate I would proudly be her champion.”Isabella told him.

“Awe. She’s so cute.”Alice gushed.

Rosalie disagreed with Alice. Isabella wasn’t cute she was smoking hot. Standing tall with her scythe in her hand, red eyes almost alive as she stared down Carlisle. It had Rosalie pushing this along so they could settle down and complete the bond so she could get her mate alone and naked as soon as possible.”Isabella if we dismantle the three of them would you be willing to come back a few hours after we leave to put them back together?”

“Would you like me to dismantle them for you?”Isabella asked.

“I want to help.”Emmett wouldn’t miss the chance to beat on Edward.

"You aren’t going to lay a hand on us.”Carlisle told them.

Rosalie ignored Carlisle.”If you are going to do it be quick. I want to leave soon.”

“Sweet.”Emmett wasted no time rushing Edward. He faked a punch to the head only at the last minute changing his mind and grabbing Edward’s leg and throwing him into a boulder.

“I’ll kill you.”Seeing his son being hurt Carlisle rushed to Emmett. Before he made it to him he became overwhelmed with pain. Looking down in shock he noticed that his left arm was missing.

Emmett smiled as he watched Isabella swing her scythe and slice off Carlisle’s other arm.”Wicked!!”

“She is certainly efficient.”Jasper was very impressed with how easily Isabella had removed all four of Carlisle’s limbs. It happened so quickly if he had blinked he would have missed the whole event.

“Carlisle!!’Esme screamed as she ran to help her mate.

“Do you want me to remove his head?”Isabella asked Rosalie.

“No he doesn’t deserve to die.”Rosalie told her.

“He doesn’t but you do!”Edward struggled out of the boulder and moved to attack Isabella.

Isabella deflected the punch Edward threw at her with her scythe knocking him to the ground, holding him there with her foot on his chest.“Emmett do you want the honors.”

“Yes I would.”Emmett happily grabbed Edward’s leg and twisted it off. He repeated the process with his other leg and both his arms.”That felt even better than I imagined it would.”

Isabella turned her attention to Esme.“Are you going to be a problem or do we have to dismantle you as well?”

“Put them back together.”Esme demanded.

“Dismantle her as well.”Alice figured if they left Esme intact she would just try and put Edward and Carlisle back together. That or she would try and contact someone to help them.

“Alright.”Isabella made four quick swings of her scythe leaving Esme without her limbs.

“I think we should put them each in a different soundproof room.”Jasper suggested.

“Good idea.”Emmett grabbed a screaming Edward in one hand and a screaming Carlisle in the other and made his way into the house.

“I’ll get Esme.”Alice volunteered.

“Are you sure you don’t mind coming back to put them back together?”Rosalie asked Isabella.

“Not at all. It will give you guys the opportunity to get to where you are going without worrying about them following you.”Isabella didn’t mind helping her mate and her newly formed coven.

“If you are sure.”Rosalie was happy that they had a chance to get away without anymore incidents.”I’m going to grab some more boxes.”

“I’ll help you.”Isabella said.

“Thanks.”Rosalie didn’t have much more stuff to put in the truck and hopped that her siblings didn’t either. She would check once she was done. She was trying to decide if it was worth it to bring her bed or leave it. While it was a brand new the Denali had beds in their guest rooms and Rosalie wanted all brand new furniture for their new homes. If she really thought about it the bed was bought with Carlisle’s money so she wouldn’t feel bad about being wasteful. Plus it would save room in the truck. She did regret not being able to use it but that would just make her and Isabella’s first time be more romantic because it would happen at the island home. The island home they needed to visit so she could figure out what she needed to decorate it to her taste. Knowing that Isabella could travel with items it would be a lot easy to do it exactly how she wanted without having to worry about how she was going to have things delivered. Making a mental note to call Gene later to find out when they would be the official owners Rosalie grabbed a pile of boxes from her room. They still had a lot of things to accomplish before they could deal with the island home and she wanted to get them done quickly.
