“I demand you let me go you blood sucker.”Edward perked up when he heard a familiar voice. He wasn’t quite sure but he thought the voice belonged to Sam Uley but he didn’t think that was possible. Watching the man being dragged into the dungeon followed by what seemed like the rest of the wolf pack and some of the tribe members, including the counsel members confused him even more. He had no idea why the group would have been brought to Italy other than maybe the kings wanted to kill them off but if they did why would they have captured the humans as well. Focusing on the thoughts of the guards he didn’t find any reason for the kidnappings.

“Billy, Sam?”Charlie called out.

“Charlie. What the hell are you doing here?”Billy asked.

“I could ask you the same thing.”Charlie should have known that the so called kings would have targeted his friends.

Billy grunted when they threw him into his cell and he landed on the floor. They had taken his wheelchair away from him when they kidnapped him and he didn’t have much hope of getting it back.”We don’t know what’s going on other than we were captured by a bunch of leeches.”

“Why are they passed out?”Carlisle was concerned with not only these new editions but the fact that the others with them were not moving.

“Because they are drugged.”Sam had only woken up right before they entered the castle.

“They drugged you?”Esme was appalled that the Volturi would drug a much of young children.

Sam tested the bars to see how strong they were.”The cowards didn’t fight far. They shot us with tranquilizers before we even got a chance to defend ourselves.”

“That sound exactly like what the Volturi would do.”Edward wasn’t surprised that the guards didn’t actually fight.

“Who exactly are these people we are dealing with?”Harry Clearwater needed to know who the enemy was before he made a plan.

“You are dealing with the Volturi. The rulers of vampire society.”Carlisle told him.

“So they have collected us to kill the enemy." Quil Ateara Sr. wasn’t surprised that the vampires would come for them.

“No they would have done that decade ago if they were truly worried about you.”Carlisle didn’t think the Volturi would target the wolf pack randomly. Thinking about the timing and reasons that he and Bella’s parents had been put in the dungeon he didn’t like the conclusion he came to.”What did you do to Bella Swan?”

“This has to do with Bella?”Sam asked.

Edward immediately picked up on Sam’s thoughts. Growling he threw himself against the bars.”I’ll kill you and every single member of your tribe for even thinking you could do that to Bella!!”

“What is it Edward?”Carlisle was sure he wasn’t going to like the answer but wanted to know anyway.

“Those vile creatures conspired with Charlie to use Bella as a prostitute.”Edward pulled with all his might at the bars and when they didn’t budge he tried biting through them with his teeth.

Esme gasped.”How could you?!”

“Bella should feel lucky that we even considered giving her the opportunity to be with any one of us after she pimped herself out to a bunch of cold ones.”Sam thought Bella would actually benefit from being with a wolf. It would prove to her how superior they were over vampires.

“Bella didn’t pimp herself out to anyone!”Edward was highly offended Sam would say otherwise.

Sam snorted out a laugh.”You honestly want us to believe that Bella wasn’t giving it up to more than half your family?”

“Bella is a pure and will stay like that until after we are married.”Edward wasn’t going to let Bella be intimate with anyone other him and that was only after they had the large wedding he had planned for them. That way he could protect her soul.

“If she isn’t giving it up to your family then I have no doubt that she is being passed around to the numerous vampires in this castle.”Sam fully believed that Bella was a slut who would have sex with anyone who give her attention.

“You watch your mouth!!”Edward wasn’t sure how but he was going to make Sam regret even thinking those things about Bella.

“What are you going to do about it pretty boy because from what I see you have been here a while and they haven’t been treating you very well.”Sam wasn’t afraid of Edward. Even if they had the chance to fight Sam knew that he could easily defeat the mind reader. It didn’t matter if he had a gift.

“I’m going to get out of this cell and once I do I’m going to make you suffer before I kill you.”Edward was going to make Sam beg for death before he was done with him.

“How are you going to do that?”Harry didn’t think Edward had any way of getting out of his cell.

“I’m still working out a plan.”Edward told him.

Charlie was the one who laughed this time.”You mean you had a plan and it didn’t work.”

“I was distracted trying to make sure Bella was safe. That was why I wasn’t able to escape.”Edward could have easily gained his freedom but he wanted to make sure that Bella was alright and that none of the vampires were harming her while he was in the training room. That was also why he lost the fight against the others.

“I doubt that Bella needs you to keep her safe.”Charlie thought by the way they acted that Bella was the safest person in the castle. It was quite obvious by the way the vampire royals acted in the throne room that they were very protective of Bella. If they weren’t none of the people in the dungeon would there.

“Bella is in a very dangerous situation. The kings are using Chelsea to force Bella to not only have a familiar bond with the most viscous king and queen but they are forcing her into two mate bonds. One with the most sadistic member of the guard and one with the coven leader of our former allies.”Edward thought Bella was in no way safe.

“What are you talking about? You didn’t say anything about Bella having a second mate.”Carlisle had been told nothing about Edward having information about a second mate bond.

Edward growled just thinking about Tanya trying to claim Bella.”That whore degenerate Tanya is claiming a mate bond.”

“Why would Tanya claim a mate bond with Bella?”Esme couldn’t think of why Tanya would break the law like that.

“The Volturi probably gave the bond to her as payment for something they did. Maybe it was even giving them the false information that got us arrested.”Edward wouldn’t put it past Tanya to turn on him and Carlisle. She had always been jealous of how powerful the Cullens were compared to the Denali.

“I think you may be right. The kings have always been wary of us and could have reached out to Tanya to help them gather evidence to prove our guilt. Tanya would happily make something up to get the chance to have a relationship with the Volturi Princess.”Carlisle had always suspected that Tanya would eventually turn on them. The coven leader envied his family and Carlisle knew that it was only a matter of time before she would act. The only reason he hadn’t cut ties with her was because his children liked them and Eleazar was a valuable ally to have.

“I can’t believe that Tanya would do something like that. She was always so kind to us.”Esme said.

“It was obvious it was just an act. She and her family have always wanted to better their position in vampire society. That’s the whole reason they invited Eleazar into their coven because of his close relationship with the royals.”Edward told her.

“I honestly don’t care if Bella’s bonds are fake or not. Can we get back to the topic of escaping? You three idiots have the most knowledge of who we are up against.”It didn’t matter to Billy who was attached to Bella. He had already dismissed the girl from his mind. She wasn’t important. He would however capture her if he got the chance. It was her fault this happened to his people and he wouldn’t mind having the chance to get payback.

“We aren’t idiots!”Edward was the smartest person in the entire castle.

Charlie rolled his eyes.”Sure you aren’t.”

“Regardless Billy made a good point. You three know who the enemy is. You can tell us what we need to prepare for.”Quil didn’t like that they were going to have to rely on a bunch of blood suckers to help them but they had no other choice.

Edward thought it would be a good idea to work with the wolves. They would make good distractions and he could use them as sacrifices if he needed to.”What we are up against is the Volturi guard. They are well trained and many of the members have gifts.”

“What kind of gifts?”Sam asked.

“There are only four people we really need to worry about. One is Jane. She has the gift to cause you unimaginable pain. I will take care of her however because she tricked Bella into believing I wasn’t her mate.”Edward was going to be the one to kill Jane because if it wasn’t for her he and Bella would have been at home in Forks planning their future together.

“What about the other three.”Sam would happily let Edward keep the vampire that could cause pain distracted.

“Her twin brother Alec’s gift is the exact opposite of Jane’s. He takes control over our body and mutes all your senses. You no longer see, hear, feel or smell anything. You just live in a black void. The advantage we have over him is that he has no fighting skills. He relies completely on his gift. If he was overwhelmed he wouldn’t be able to defend himself.”Edward planned to have the wolves take care of Alec. They would easily be able to defeat him as he could only use his gift on one person at a time.

“Then he will be easy to take care of.”Sam would just have one of the younger wolves attack Alec first then have a few others attack him while he is focused on the wolf.”Who else?”

“Dimitri is a tracker. Once he meets you he can track you anywhere in the world without fail. He needs to be killed so that he can’t come after us.” Edward told him.

“What is his fighting ability?”Quil didn’t think he would be a better fighter than the wolves.

“He is one of the more skilled in the guard as he is sent out on missions constantly. However he is very full of himself so he will most likely try to show off giving us a chance to strike while he is goofing off.”Edward wasn’t that afraid of Dimitri because the man may have been skilled but he was too cocky.

“We can take care of him no problem.”Sam knew that in a far fight he and his pack could take out a vampire no problem. The only reason they got captured was because they were ambushed. This time it would be the wolves ambushing the vampires.

“The last person is Chelsea and she will be a problem that needs to be dealt with right away.”Edward said.

“What makes her so dangerous?”Harry asked.

“Her gift gives her the ability to break bonds and falsify them. Meaning that she could make you hate your imprint and love your greatest enemy and there is no way to stop her from doing it. That’s why she needs to be the first one we kill. Once she is dead all the bonds will go back to normal and Bella will be free of the false mate bonds she is being forced into.”Edward knew the only way to save Bella was to kill Chelsea because even if he were to escape with her Bella would still feel the bonds with Tanya and Jane if Chelsea wasn’t killed.

Sam didn’t care about about Bella but wasn’t going to say that out loud. It would just upset Edward and they unfortunately needed his gift and knowledge of who they were up against.”Is she a good fighter?”

“When I lived at the castle Chelsea was always guarded. She was never allowed in the training room for fear she would get hurt. I doubt that she has any fighting skills.”Carlisle wasn’t happy about having to kill anyone but it was the only way for them to gain their freedom as it was obvious the kings had turned their backs on him. Which Carlisle didn’t understand because he thought they were good friends. After witnessing everything they did just to make Bella a member of the guard he realized that they weren’t his friends they were just power hungry tyrants like everyone said they were.

“So we will probably have to deal with vampires guarding her.”Sam didn’t really see much of a problem with being able to fight their way out of the castle. There may be more vampires than wolves but even the youngest wolf in his pack was equal to a dozen of the vampire’s best fighters. They just had to deal with the ones with the gifts and then they would be able to walk right out of the castle.

“Yes but I’ve never seen more than six with her at a time. Usually there are four.”Carlisle told him.

“Alright now we know who we will face do you know the layout of the castle?”Billy was more than confident that the wolves could take care of the vampires they would encounter when escaping. If that had any problems he was planning on sacrificing the Cullens and Charlie’s ex wife. The woman who was currently curled up in a ball in the corner of her cell looking like she was comatose.

“I know the basic layout of the whole castle except for the royal wing and the gardens.”Carlisle had wished that he had made more of an effort to learn all about the castle’s set up during the century he lived with there but he had dedicated his time to learning about how other vampires lived and trying to convince them to change their diets and lifestyles.

“We don’t need to go in the royal wing do we?”Quil asked.

“We do because that’s where they are keeping Bella.”Rescuing Bella was Edward’s main priority. He wasn’t even going to attempt to leave the castle without his mate.

“Isn’t Bella the whole reason all of us are in here?”Sam didn’t see the point in putting in the effort to get Bella when she was the reason they were in this mess. Plus the girl was useless and even though it would nice to have a little fun with her it wasn’t worth risking getting caught for a girl who he figured wasn’t even a good lay.

“Bella is my mate. She needs me to save her from the horrors that the royals are subjecting her to.”Edward knew he was the only one who could save Bella. They just had to kill Chelsea first so that Bella wouldn’t fight him about leaving.

“That’s fine. After we kill the guards we will go find Bella.”Billy lied. He wasn’t going to let the wolves waste their time and jeopardize their freedom to save Bella.

“How do we get out of the cells to put our plan in motion?”Charlie thought the plan was good they just needed a chance to use it.

“That we haven’t figured out yet.”Carlisle said.

“Edward was supposed to use his gift to overpower the guards when they came and got him but as you can see he’s useless.”Charlie had been completely unsurprised that Edward failed to get away from the guards.

“I’m not useless!”Edward was insulted that anyone would call him useless.

“Then why are you back in a cell with the rest of us?”Charlie asked.

“I was doing recon so that I could help all of you. If I wanted to I could have easily saved Bella and the both of us could have escaped but I wanted to make sure everyone else got out as well.”Edward knew that he could have saved Bella and made it out of the castle with no problems if he had put in the effort. He just didn’t want to leave Carlisle and Esme behind.

Charlie rolled his eyes.”Aren’t you selfless.”

“My son is the most selfless person I have ever met.”Carlisle bragged.

“Back to getting out of the cells. How are we going to do it?”Sam didn’t want argue about how incompetent Edward was. He wanted to make a plan.

“The only time the guards visit are to feed me and Rene. Other than those times they ignore us completely.”Charlie told him.

“Do they open your cells to feed you?”Quil asked.

“They do but it’s not like me or Rene could overpower them.”Charlie had thought about it though.

“You couldn’t but we could.”Sam was already mid plan.”Here’s what we will do. When the guards come down to feed us we will wait until they get to my cell as I’m the strongest wolf. As soon as they open the door I’ll shift, kill the guards and get the keys to unlock everyone else’s cell. Then we will use Carlisle’s knowledge of the layout of the castle to find the guards we need to kill and escape.”

Edward thought about how likely they would be able to succeed using Sam’s plan.”That could work.”

“I think it’s a good idea.”Billy had absolute faith that Sam would be able to kill the guards.

“I don’t see a problem with it.”It wasn’t like Charlie could think of anything better.

“Then we are agreed.”Quil knew then plan would work.

“Now we just have to wait for the guards to show up.”Edward was positive that the plan would work and he would be able to save Bella. He worried for his mate because he was sure that the Volturi had already started brainwashing her. It was obvious when Bella had cheered for the vampires who fought him in the training room and yelled insults at him. Then again Bella might have just been playing along as to fool the royals into thinking she was on their side. Edward smiled at the thought. That was exactly what Bella was doing. Of course his mate would go against her instincts to make everyone believe she was on the Volturi’s side. Bella probably knew that they would do horrible things to her if she sided with Edward, Carlisle and Esme. Of course Bella was smart enough to play along. That meant that she was probably making her own plan to save them. It was to bad Edward didn’t have a way to get a message to her. Leaning back against the wall of his cell Edward sighed as he listened to the other wolves and humans that were in the dungeon starting to wake up. He was happy to be able to leave the castle but hated that he had to rely on the wolves to help. Hopefully most of them would be killed by the guard so he would only have to kill a few of them when this was all over. Carlisle wouldn’t like it but Edward couldn’t let any of them live after what they had planned for Bella.
