“Please don’t leave.”Irina said as she stood up from her chair at the table she was sitting at with Rosalie and Tanya. Seeing the three of them Bella knew that she had been tricked. She was supposed to be meeting a potential new client for a consultation. That obviously was not the case. If Bella was being honest with herself she wasn’t really surprised. Every day that week she had been the recipient of gifts from Rosalie. It started off with flowers then the gifts became more extravagant. The one that morning was an expensive Tiffany bracelet that Bella was planning to contact Rosalie to get an address to send back. Bella wasn’t one to be bought with gifts and she hadn’t appreciated being on the receiving end of so many.

“You guys are my potential client meeting?”Bella asked as she took a seat. She figured this would be the perfect opportunity to tell Rosalie to leave her alone.

“We didn’t know how else to get you to talk to us.”Tanya told her.

“Well I suppose that this a good thing as I was going to reach out to Rosalie anyway.”Bella said.

Rosalie perked up hearing that. She had been extremely frustrated Bella hadn’t responded to any of her gifts and would have gone to her work but Tanya and Irina had stopped her.”You were?”

“Yes, I wanted to tell you to stop sending me gifts and to please leave me alone.”Bella was unsurprised but the scowl that came to Rosalie face.

“Are my offerings not good enough for you?”Rosalie wanted to send Bella more expensive items but was stopped from doing it once again by Tanya and Irina. When she asked Alice about it her sister had been no help as her visions of Bella were sporadic at best.

“No your offerings are too much and I am not comfortable accepting them.”Bella explained.

“It’s my right to spoil you.”Rosalie would give Bella gifts anytime time she wanted to. It was her right as Bella’s mate.

Bella rolled her eyes.”Are we really doing this again?”

“Doing what?”Rosalie asked.

“I think I need to remind you that you have no rights when it comes to me. That means if I tell you that I don’t want gifts from you then you’re not to give them to me.”Bella told her.

Tanya cut in before Rosalie could insult Bella.”What Rosalie means to say is that she would love nothing more than to have the opportunity to spoil you.”

“My affections can not be bought.”Bella wasn’t one to swoon over someone who spent money on her.

“I wasn’t trying to buy anything.”Rosalie was insulted that Bella thought she would lower herself to buying her mate’s love.

“Good because not only will it not work I don’t have an inclination of being in a relationship with you.”Bella didn’t actually want to be sitting at the same table as Rosalie but was using the chance to tell her to leave her alone.

Rosalie gritted her teeth.”And why is that?”

“Because you are rude, entitled, full of yourself and have caveman views when it comes to women. Which is quite ironic as you are one yourself.”Bella noticed that Rosalie’s eyes became darker with each flaw she listed.

“You think I’m rude?”Rosalie couldn’t believe that Bella who was the rudest person Rosalie had ever met called her rude.

“God I wish I wasn’t in the middle of a work day because I could really use a drink.”Bella was going to have a whole bottle of wine once she got done with work. The weekend started the next day so she would have two days to nurse the hangover.

“That’s another thing we should speak about. You shouldn’t be drinking alcohol.”Rosalie told her.

“For fuck’s sake now you are trying to control what I drink. What’s next are you going to insist I go on a strict diet?”Bella asked.

“You should be eating food that keeps your body healthy and strong.”Rosalie had done lot of research on the human body once she found out that Bella was human. She wanted to make sure that she could properly take care of Bella until she was changed. That being something Rosalie was going to insist happen soon.

Bella turned her attention to Irina and Tanya.”Is she serious?”

“Unfortunately.”Irina grumbled. She was mad that Rosalie hadn’t taken their advice with how she spoke to and treated Bella. Irina was honestly surprised that Bella hadn’t left already.

“Look Rosalie, I’m sure you have some redeeming qualities. Well I at least hope you do.”Bella added.”My point being that even if you do I’m not interested in finding out what they are. So what’s it going to take to get you to leave me alone?”

“I’m not going to leave you alone.”Rosalie wasn’t going to abandon her mate.

“I think what Rosalie means is that she would like the chance to get to know you better and for you to have the chance to get to know her better as well. That way you will get to see those redeeming qualities that she does have.”Tanya just hoped that Rosalie would be smart enough to be on her best behavior when spending time with Bella.

“I’d rather not spend time with her.”Bella couldn’t think of anything she would like to do less than spend time with Rosalie.

“Why are you being so unreasonable?”Rosalie asked.

“You think I’m being the unreasonable one?”Bella was shocked Rosalie thought she was in the wrong.

“Yes, you are. Here I am offering you my unwavering love and constant attention and you throw it back in my face every time I try to show you my intentions.”Rosalie told her.

“Fuck this.”Bella waved down the waiter.

“What can I get you?”He asked.

“A whiskey neat please.”Bella wasn’t going to be able to continue this conversation without alcohol. A conversation that needed to be had to get Rosalie to leave her alone.

“I’ll be right back with that.”The waiter said taking his leave.

“Didn’t I just tell you not to drink alcohol?”Rosalie thought she had spoken very clearly when she told Bella that.

“If you expect me to spend another minute in your company then I will need more than just that glass to get through it.”Bella could easily rearrange the rest of her work day to accommodate drinking a little more than she usually would at lunch time.

“That is not acceptable.”Rosalie wasn’t going to allow Bella to get drunk.

“It’s either I drink the whiskey and we talk this out like adults or I skip the drink, leave this table and go straight to the police to file a restraining order against you. The choice is yours.”Bella would happily go to the police but she didn’t really think it would stop Rosalie from seeking her out.

“A restraining order!!”Rosalie couldn’t believe her mate would threaten such a thing.

“Rosalie calm down.”Tanya knew that Bella was completely serious about the restraining order and didn’t want Rosalie to push her to follow through on the threat.

Rosalie looked at Tanya in shock.“I should calm down?! She just threatened me.”

“Lower your voice. You are making a scene.”Irina was very embarrassed by Rosalie’s behavior.

“I wouldn’t be making a scene if my mate wasn’t being so confrontational.”Rosalie told her.

“I’m sorry your what?”Bella asked.

Rosalie glared at Irina before turning her attention to Bella.”I call you my mate because I have chosen you to pursue a romantic relationship with.”

“Well I’m not your anything so please don’t call me that again.”Bella didn’t want Rosalie making any claim on her.

Rosalie took a deep breath to try and control her anger. Fighting Bella wasn’t winning her any points so she needed to try a different approach. She was going to charm the girl.”What would you like me to call you then?”

“My name is Bella.”Bella said.

“Alright Bella it is then.”Rosalie gave Bella a smile that was known to make people stop in their tracks. She held back a frown when instead of having it’s desired affect Bella looked at her suspiciously.

“Here you are miss.”The waiter placed a glass of whiskey in front of Bella.

“Thank you.”Bella immediately picked up the glass and took a long sip.

Rosalie didn’t respond to the challenging stare Bella gave her while she drank from the glass. All she needed to do is charm Bella and once they were official Rosalie could start implementing the rules in their relationship.“So Bella. How can I convince you to go out on a date with me?”

“I think I have made myself perfectly clear on my want to not see you again.”Bella reminded her.

“Yes you have but what I want to know is what it will take to change your mind?”Rosalie asked. She ignored the surprised looks she was getting from Irina and Tanya. Rosalie knew they were confused by her change in demeanor but she would explain it to them later.

“Honestly Rosalie I doubt there is anything you can do to change my mind. You and I just don’t get along. I don’t see that changing any time soon.”Bella told her.

“If you gave me a chance then I could prove to you I’m not as bad as you think.”Rosalie said.

Bella sighed.”If I agree to go out with you once will you leave me alone if I refuse a second date?”

“I will happily agree to that.”Rosalie knew that if Bella went out with her she would easily get the human to agree to a second date.

Bella pulled a card from her wallet.”Here’s my card. Schedule a time with my secretary.”

“Why aren’t you giving me your cell number?”Rosalie asked.

“Because I can’t trust you not use it to harass me.”Bella wasn’t going to chance Rosalie blowing up her phone constantly.

“I see.”Rosalie wasn’t happy not getting Bella’s personal number but would just make sure she got it before their date ended.

Bella finished off her drink, stood up from her seat, pulled some cash out her wallet and set it on the table.”Now then I need to get back to work. I actually do have real clients that depend on me.”

“I’ll call your secretary immediately.”Rosalie wanted to go out on their date that night.

“You do that. Tanya, Irina it was nice seeing you both again. Have a good weekend.”Bella didn’t wait for a reply and hurried her way out of the restaurant. She didn’t want to get stuck there any longer. Rosalie annoyed her to no end and Bella didn’t want to waste anymore time with the blond than she had to. Bella didn’t know what possessed her to offer the date just that she couldn’t think of any else that Rosalie would accept to get her to leave Bella alone. Rosalie better be a woman of her word because Bella knew without a doubt there would not be a second date. Bella didn’t care if Rosalie pulled out all the stops and was the perfect gentlewoman. Something about her rubbed Bella the wrong way and Bella wasn’t comfortable around her. Bella was now regretting not suggesting that Irina and Tanya come with them. Not that the pair were any help in the restaurant. Sighing Bella made her way into her office building. She hated that she had a soft stop for lost causes because if she didn’t she wouldn’t have even sat down that table with Rosalie. Hopefully this whole situation wouldn’t blow up in her face. She didn’t need any more drama in her life. Her clients provided enough.
