“I will do the talking. You will just sit there and only speak if I ask for your input.”Rosalie told Alice as she and her sister rode in an elevator up to the office of Isabella’s demon friend who went by the name Gene. Rosalie thought it was a weird name for demon but then again it wasn’t like she knew any demons to compare it to. She was very excited to meet Gene because he would be helping her find her dream home. A dream home that Alice pestered her to be involved with picking. Rosalie really didn’t want her help but felt guilty for leaving Alice in the dark about the mate bond and the other things that involved Isabella. Not that Rosalie was going to mention anything about reapers and demons in front of her sister. She hadn’t even mentioned the fact that she could go out in the sun and eat human food. Both those she enjoyed doing very much. Especially eating human food. Rosalie had gorged herself the night before and was happy that she wouldn’t gain any weight because she had plans to do it many more times in the future.

“Yeah, yeah I know. I’m not allowed to talk to your mate’s friend. A friend that is going to help you buy a home that you will live in with your mate. Your mate who gave you an unlimited budget for not only the house but whatever else you wanted to buy as well because apparently she is very, very wealthy. How she got that wealth you won’t tell me but she is worth a lot more than our family.”Alice was happy that she was involved in the house hunting but didn’t understand why Rosalie refused to tell her any details about her mate.

”You know all the important stuff.”Rosalie took a step out of the elevator once it stopped and the doors opened.”Now come on I don’t want to be late.”

“We are twenty minutes early you aren’t going to be late.”Alice grumbled.

“Hello welcome to Revolt Reality. Do you have an appointment?”A woman in a casual business suit asked from her place behind a large receptionist desk.

Rosalie raised an eyebrow at the name. That was very on the nose for a demon business.“My name is Rosalie Hale, I’m here to meet Gene.”

“Oh so you’re Rosalie. He told me to bring you to office as soon you arrived.”The woman said as she stood from her chair.”Follow me please.”

“Thank you.”Rosalie was happy they wouldn’t have to wait around.

The woman stopped at a door and knocked before opening it.”Gene, Rosalie Hale is here to see you.”

“Come in, come in.”A very ordinary looking man greeted as he stood from his desk and welcomed Rosalie and Alice. He made a bee line to Rosalie and pulled her into a hug.”You are one lucky lady.”

Rosalie patted Gene on the back and pulled out of the hug. She did notice that Gene smelt like fire and brimstone and wondered if humans caught the scent as well.”You must be Gene.”

“Oh how rude of me.”Gene held out his hand.”I’m Gene. Isabella has told me all about you.”

“She has?”That surprised Rosalie.

Gene smiled sheepishly.”Ok maybe not all about you but based on how much Isabella usually shares with others she told me a lot.”

“That makes more sense.”Rosalie didn’t think Isabella would say too much to others.

“Hi I’m Rosalie’s sister Alice.”Alice introduced herself and shook Gene’s hand.

“Nice to meet you both. Now come sit down at the conference table and I’ll show you some of the properties I think you’ll like.”Gene motioned to the small table on the side of the room.

“Isabella told me not to let you talk me into anything.”Rosalie said as she took a seat Alice taking the one next to her.

Gene chuckled.”I don’t know I can be very persuasive.”

“Let’s see what you have to offer first.”Rosalie didn’t doubt for a second that Gene could be persuasive.

“Good now let’s start with an estate on the Washington Canadian border.”Gene handed Rosalie a folder.

Opening the folder Rosalie was impressed with the pictures of the home. It was very big and had a lot of room for a growing family but noticing the amount of land Rosalie vetoed it right away.”It’s a nice house but I was hoping to get more land.”

“Alright no problem.”Gene shuffled the folders and handed Rosalie another one.

“Whoah that’s a nice place. Esme would be very jealous if you bought it.”Alice didn’t think it was something Esme could afford though. The Cullens weren’t that wealthy because of Carlisle’s habit of giving money away to charity and Alice’s unpredictable visions.

“It does have some of the features I wanted.”Rosalie could see herself and Bella living in the house but didn’t think it was safe for children with the open staircase and many glass windows.”I wanted something that would a little more suitable for a growing family.”

“What do you mean a growing family? Are you going to adopt kids?”Alice didn’t know if a vampire was allowed to adopt a child.

Rosalie sighed as she realized that she was going to have to tell Alice the truth or she would have to deal with many lectures about how it was wrong and selfish to adopt a human child.”No because of what my mate is I’m able to have children of my own.”

“What the hell?!”Alice couldn’t believe what she was hearing.”How is that possible?!”

“I’m not comfortable telling you anything else. Just that Isabella and I will be able to have many children together if we want. Which I do so I want a house that is child friendly and can fit a growing family.”Rosalie told her.

“Congratulations. If anyone deserves to have children it would be Isabella.”Gene said.

“Thank you Gene.”Rosalie was touched that a demon was congratulating her. Especially because she could tell he was genuinely happy for them.

“That being said we need a good home for your family.”Gene shuffled through the folders again before handing Rosalie one.

Rosalie looked at the home trying to imagine living there with Isabella and their children.”This one is better but not what I’m looking for.”

“I’m not sure how attached you are to the United States but this one is in Canada and I think it’s more what you are looking for.”Gene handed her another folder.

”Man that’s a nice house. Plus it not only has room for a few kids it has a guest house for me and Jasper to stay in when we visit.”Alice was actually planning on living there if Rosalie bought it because there was no way Alice wanted to be away from her sister or her future nieces and nephews.

“I don’t know.”It’s was a nice house but it wasn’t what Rosalie pictured when she dreamt of her dream home.

“You know if you wanted I can find you the land you are looking for and you could build a house of your own design.”Gene said.

“I was thinking about it but Isabella and I need a place of our own once we complete the bond.”Rosalie wanted to start living their lives together immediately after they completed the bond.

“Then why don’t you buy a nice vacation home for the pair of you to stay at for you honeymoon while your house is being built.”Gene suggested.

“That’s a good idea Rosalie.”Alice figured that Rosalie would be able to get her dream home that way.

Rosalie thought it would be nice to have a vacation property.”How soon do you think it could get started?”

“Since it’s for Isabella I know that it would be started right away and completed as quickly as possible.”Gene told her.

“Would you be the one handling it or someone else?”Rosalie asked.

“It would someone else but they are very loyal to Isabella. She was the one who secured his position in the human world and even though Isabella doesn’t think so he owes her a big debt for it.”Gene explained.

“What do you mean the human world?”Alice didn’t understand what Gene was talking about.

“He didn’t mean anything. Forget he even said that.”Rosalie didn’t want Alice knowing about Gene being a demon because it would make her reveal what Isabella was.

“Sorry I thought she knew.”Gene said.

“Apparently I know a lot less about things than I originally thought.”Alice looked Gene over with a more critical eye. After his comments and Rosalie brushing them under the rug she had feeling Gene wasn’t human. He definitely wasn’t a vampire and didn’t smell like a shifter so Alice wasn’t sure what he was. If anything he smelt strange. Alice couldn’t really describe his scent other than smelling it made her feel unsafe being in the same room as him. She would have left immediately if Rosalie wasn’t with her as it seemed Gene almost worshiped Rosalie’s mate and obviously wouldn’t do anything to harm or upset Rosalie.

“Alright so I think buying a vacation house is a good idea.”Rosalie ignored Alice’s comment knowing it would brought up again later.”Then our house could be built while we are in our mating haze.”

“What are you thinking for a vacation property?”Gene asked.

Rosalie tried to think about what would be her ideal place to get away from everyone and have privacy to spend time with Isabella.”I want something on the beach.”

“Now you are speaking my language.”Gene stood up from his seat and walked to his file cabinet and begin looking through his files.

“Rosalie don’t you want to live someplace you can go outside during the day and not worry about the sun?”Alice couldn’t understand why Rosalie would pick someplace that she would be forced to spend most of her time inside.

Rosalie sighed. She was going have to revel more to Alice than she would like and regretted allowing the her sister to come with her.”When I was given the ability to shield myself from all your gifts a side affect was that I don’t sparkle in the sun and can eat human food.”

“Wait what?”Alice didn’t think she heard Rosalie right.

“I don’t sparkle in the sun and I can eat human food.”Rosalie told her.

“What the fuck happened to you Rosalie?”Alice really didn’t know what the was going on anymore.

“Being mated to Isabella came with a few perks.”Rosalie at least thought that was why she was given all the abilities from her guardian angel as she hadn’t had them before she made eye contact with the reaper.

“Does she have a gift that helped you?”Alice asked.

“Isabella isn’t the one who did.”Rosalie cut Alice off before she could say anything.”I’m not going to tell you how it happened. Just that Isabella didn’t do it and the person who did will not be willing to give the ability to anyone else.”

“Why did they do it for you then?”Alice didn’t understand why Rosalie was picked out of everyone.

“It was a favor to Isabella.”Rosalie figured based on Isabella’s positive relationships with angels that Rosalie’s guardian angel did it so that Rosalie could be Isabella’s equal and have no limitations like her mate.

“It’s true. Even if Rosalie was mated to someone like Isabella she wouldn’t have been given any abilities but because Isabella is so loved all of us will happily go out of our way to do what we can for her.”Gene told them.

“I still don’t understand anything.”Alice wanted answers but wasn’t sure how to go about getting them.

“After I complete the mate bond with Isabella and we come back from our honeymoon I will tell you everything.”Rosalie wasn’t going to introduce Isabella to her family before the ceremony was complete for fear of her not willing to go through it after meeting them.

“Are we going to be able to at least meet her before you leave?”Alice asked.

Rosalie shook her head.”Isabella isn’t that comfortable around people. I need time to get her used to the idea of meeting all of you.”

“That’s true. She is fine when it’s one on one but get’s overwhelmed when she is in groups.”Gene said.

“How did you even meet her?”Alice just realized she never asked that question.

“We met that night I killed that guy in Seattle. She just happened to be walking by the alley I had taken him to and caught sight of me. She introduced herself and we have been together ever since.”Rosalie wasn’t really lying. Isabella was in the alley and did eventually introduce herself. Not until Rosalie had killed her third victim but Rosalie wasn’t going to tell Alice.

Gene laughed.”You met Bella while she was working?”

“Yes, Bella has been assigned to me personally. She shows up at all my kills. She only revealed herself recently however.”Rosalie was actually very proud of the fact that her mate was there every time she took a life. It was Isabella’s presence that kept Rosalie from giving into her instincts and killing off the entire human population.

“Wait you are that Rosalie?! The one who killed Royce King Jr?”Gene asked in surprise.

“Yes he and his friends were some of my first victims.”Rosalie was uneasy with the look of awe that came to Gene’s face.

“Oh man. No one is going to believe that I actually met you and not only that I am helping you buy a house.”Gene rushed to his desk and grabbed his phone.”Can I get a picture with you so I have proof I met you.”

“Uhm. Sure.”Isabella had told Rosalie that she was famous in hell for her kills but hadn’t really believed it. Now seeing the excitement and enthusiasm from Gene she knew that Isabella was telling the truth.

“Would you mind?”Gene asked Alice.

“No problem.”Alice took the phone in confusion and snapped a couple pictures of Rosalie and Gene.”How is that you know Rosalie killed Royce?”

“Where I’m from Rosalie is a legend. Each one of her kills are a work of art. I actually had the honor of punishing Royce personally. Even though they hurt to wear I proudly sported a pair of high heals to go with my wedding dress.”Gene told them.

“What do you mean you punished him personally?”Alice really wanted to know what was going on.

Rosalie sighed. She was trying to keep things from Alice but she hadn’t anticipated that Gene would know of her reputation.”I guess it doesn’t matter if you know or not anymore. Gene is a demon.”

“A demon?”Alice wasn’t sure she that was true.”Demons are real?”

“Very real. So are angels, god and Satan.”Gene told her.

“And you work for Satan?”Alice asked.

Gene nodded.”I am one of the lucky ones that got the chance to work in the human world.”

”Is your mate a demon as well?”Alice figured Isabella had to be if she dealt with dead people.

“No Isabella isn’t a demon. She is a grim reaper.”Rosalie wasn’t pleased revealing this but it was her own fault for brining Alice.

“Like she collects dead people’s souls?”Alice hadn’t realized grim reapers were real. Then again a demon was sitting at the table with them and confirmed the existence of god and the devil.

“That’s exactly what she does and how we met. Every time I have killed someone she has collected their soul. Something that we have recently discovered is due to our mate bond. It wasn’t until Seattle that she revealed herself and I found out about the bond.”Rosalie explained.

“What the heck?! Were you ever going to tell us about this?”Alice asked.

“Eventually but after I got Isabella used to the idea of interacting with all of you because I wasn’t lying when I said she doesn’t like to be around people.”Rosalie wished she had spoken to Isabella before she said anything but she had been backed into a corner by Alice.

“You know that the family is going to want to ask her tons of questions.”Alice predicted that Carlisle as a very religious man would have the most.

“I know but I’m not going to allow them to overwhelm her or let Carlisle try and study her.”Rosalie knew that her sire would want to run experiments on Isabella and she was not going to let that happen.

“So wait because of Isabella being a grim reaper she can get you pregnant?”When Rosalie nodded Alice was even more confused.”How does that work?”

“That’s private Alice and not something I will be discussing with anyone but my mate.”Rosalie also didn’t know the answer to that. It really didn’t matter to her how she was going to get pregnant just that she would have the chance to. The logistics weren’t important.”Now let’s get back on track. I want nice private beach house with penalty of space between our neighbors so we won’t get complaints about the noise level.”

“How do you feel about having your own private island. One that was outfitted with a large mansion that has all the amenities you could think of?”Gene handed Rosalie another folder.

“That is definitely something to look at.”Rosalie opened the folder and looked at the pictures. It was a good fit for a vacation home and Rosalie was pretty sure she was going to buy it. Looking at the listing price on the first page made her wince but she brushed off the discomfort knowing that the money spent wouldn’t even put a dent in the demons’ daily earning. Plus based on how Gene acted and what she had been told by Isabella it seem that no one cared about how much Isabella spent. The reaper was obviously well love by all and her friends felt that she deserved to be rewarded for her many deeds. Getting a mate bond and Rosalie’s new abilities were proof that the angels were on Isabella’s side and from the way Gene went out of his way to get them the perfect home and the demon who build a custom one for them who Isabella help out proved the demons were just as devoted. That made Rosalie feel more secure in life. She doubted anything would happen to her or their children by having Isabella as a mate and second mother to their children having angels and demons looking out for them. Rosalie wasn’t even worried about Carlisle’s disapproval of her being mated to a woman or Edward’s next attack. Rosalie was in the position to chose her future and she thought maybe she would reach out to the Denali and see if they would let Rosalie join their coven and build their home on their land. That way she had support around her when the children were born incase something happened when Isabella was away because she was sure there going to be times her mate would be traveling and she wouldn’t be able to get ahold her without killing someone. That being something that would be hard to do while taking care of children. Not that Rosalie wouldn’t do so in case of an emergency. She wanted it to be a last case scenario.
