Bonded Through The Realms 20

“What’s with all the boxes?”Alice asked Rosalie when she entered the house carrying over a dozen empty cardboard boxes. Rosalie didn’t even try to hide her bright smile thinking about the boxes brought. After spending hours at Isabella’s Rosalie asked if she could move in with the nonhuman and her adopted father. Isabella had surprisingly agreed to temporally allow her to stay but Rosalie didn’t plan on ever leaving. She just wasn’t going to mention those plans to Isabella. Rosalie didn’t want her mate to take back the offer. Not when doing so would make it hard for Rosalie to be with Isabella and prevent her from leaving her family. That being something that Rosalie concluded was very important to do. Carlisle did not have her best interest at heart and was playing some kind of sick game of keeping her compliant by poisoning her with animal blood and handicapping her by not explaining how to live in the world as a vampire. For some reason Carlisle wanted to control the family and the Denali Coven. Those being some of the people she was going to talk to. Isabella had agreed to go with her when she did and Rosalie was optimistic that they would at least hear Isabella out.

“The boxes are to pack my belongings so I can move them to Isabella’s house where I will be living from now on.”Rosalie told her.

“Wait what do you mean you are moving in with Isabella?”Alice didn’t understand how Rosalie went from fighting with her mate to moving in with her less than 24 hours later.

“Isabella invited me to live with her and her father.”Rosalie wasn’t going to tell them that Charlie wasn’t really Isabella’s father. She actually wasn’t going to tell them anything about Isabella. Especially since Rosalie didn’t know what role Alice and Jasper were playing in Carlisle’s scheme.

“How did that come about?”Japser was just as confused as Alice at this turn of events.

“I went over to her house and politely asked if she would spend time with me. She agreed and I spent the day with her. During our talk I asked if I could live with them and she said yes.”Rosalie lied.

“Just like that. You asked her if you could live with her and she said yes? Did you tell her about the mate bond?”Alice asked.

“No I did not and I would appreciate it if neither of you mentioned it to her the next time you see her.”Rosalie wasn’t going to mention the mate bond to Isabella until they got to know each other better.

“So without knowing about the mate bond Isabella allowed you a virtual stranger, who happens to be a vampire, who lives off of blood to live in her house with her and her vulnerable father?”Jasper didn’t think they were getting the full story from Rosalie. When he tried to use his gift to see what she was feeling he was shocked to find he couldn’t.”Why can’t I tell what you are feeling?”

“What do you mean?”Alice asked.

“My gift isn’t working on her.”Jasper told her.

Rosalie’s smile brightened even more. It was very nice to have proof that the block Isabella placed actually worked.”Isabella was kind enough to give me the same block she gave her father.”

“The girl who you were close to attacking that easily manhandled you agreed to give you the block?”Alice was even more confused when Rosalie nodded.”None of this makes sense. I thought she hated you.”

“Our friction was due to a misunderstanding that happened when we first spoke to each other. Once we cleared the air we found that we get along just fine.”That wasn’t exactly the truth. Rosalie was still frustrated that Isabella refused to tell her what she was or who her real parents were but she figured the more time they spent living together Isabella would probably be willing to tell her the information.

“I don’t get it.”Jasper said.

“What’s there not to get? Isabella’s my mate and I am going to go live with her.”Rosalie thought it was actually quite simple.

“What do you really know about Isabella?”Alice asked.

“What do you mean what do I really know about her?”Rosalie didn’t like Alice’s tone when she asked the question.

“I mean do you even know what kind of supernatural she is?”Alice didn’t want Rosalie to get hurt.

“I don’t but that means nothing.”Even not knowing Rosalie trusted Isabella. A hell a lot more than her so-called family at least.

“Rosalie she easily subdued you like it was second nature. Then she disappeared in a cloud of smoke. The girl is not only an unknown but she is obviously very dangerous. How do you know you can trust her not to hurt you.”Alice didn’t know why Rosalie was so unconcerned.

“Oh she’s dangerous alright. Incredibly dangerous.”Rosalie had felt that danger coming off Isabella in waves and even if she hadn’t had the demonstration after hearing that she helped the Volturi with a problem would have proved it.

“Do you at least know a way to defeat her if we needed to?”Jasper wasn’t pleased to hear Rosalie confirm that Isabella was a threat.

“I’m going to pretend you didn’t just ask me to tell you how to kill my mate.”Rosalie brushed Jasper’s question off as him worried for his own mate. If she didn’t then she knew she would get pissed off and probably have Isabella kill him. Not that she was against the idea she just didn’t want to deal with the hassle of starting a war with the entire Cullen coven. Rosalie was waiting for that to happen after she and Isabella killed Edward as it was guaranteed they were going to have to do. He was a dangerous threat to Isabella by her being his singer and it wouldn’t be smart to let him live.

“It’s a valid questioned. What if she decides to attack any of us?”Alice asked.

“If it gets to the point of her attacking you then I suggest you get all your affairs in order because you are most likely going to die.”Rosalie had no doubt that Isabella would be able to fend off any attacks by her family and would be able to easily kill them.

“And you are comfortable living with her knowing that she is such a danger to our family?”Jasper couldn’t figure that part out. Rosalie was the biggest defender of their family but here she was putting them in danger just because of a mate bond. Even though mate bonds were strong Jasper wouldn’t expect Rosalie to do such a thing.

“Is Isabella dangerous?”Rosalie nodded.”Yes she is. However I know that she wouldn’t hurt me. She has had many opportunities to do so and has always shown restraint. Concerning her being a danger to you guys my advice is to stay away for her and do not provoke her.”

“You are expecting us to just ignore an unknown supernatural threat that you yourself have confirmed is very dangerous?”Alice wasn’t sure what to think of this whole situation. She like Jasper didn’t understand how Rosalie the protector of the family was acting so nonchalant about this whole situation.

“If you don’t ignore her it’s your funeral.”Rosalie wasn’t going to interfere if her family provoked Isabella. Once she had officially broken ties with the Cullens she had plans to speak to Emmett and Wendy but she wasn’t going to tell them about Isabella. She was going to tell them about Carlisle’s lies. After that they were on their own and if they decided to go after her mate Rosalie wouldn’t stop Isabella from defending herself.

“That’s all you have to say. Not that you would set up a meeting for us to ask her questions or one for Carlisle to make a treaty with her. I mean the wolves will want to know what is going on. Isabella could affect our treaty with them.”Jasper didn’t think Rosalie understood what all the repercussions of Isabella living in Forks could be.

“Carlisle doesn’t have the authority to negotiate a treaty with Isabella.”Rosalie figured based on her relationship with the Volturi they were the only ones that could make a treaty with Isabella. Rosalie wouldn’t be surprised if they already had one.

“What does that mean?”Alice asked.

“It means that Isabella is much better connected in the vampire world than Carlisle could ever dream to be. Why I bet if she really wanted Isabella could force us to leave the area and there would be nothing we could do about it.”Rosalie didn’t think it would be a problem for Isabella at all. She was friends with the witch twins. They would more than likely help her force the Cullens out.

“That just gives us more questions about Isabella.”Jasper now wanted to know who Isabella had an alliance with as it was obvious Rosalie was hinting at Isabella having a relationship with the royals.

“Questions that I’m afraid will likely go unanswered.”Rosalie doubted Isabella would ever tell her family anything. She was actually surprised that Isabella told her what she had. It made Rosalie feel that Isabella was coming around to trust her more. Giving Rosalie the block being proof of that.

“And you expect us to go on with our lives and just ignore Isabella’s existence?”Alice didn’t think that would be possible. Especially when she and Jasper told the rest of the family about what Rosalie told them and their own experience with Isabella. Carlisle was going to want to speak to Isabella right away.

”What you do is your own business. If you’re smart you will heed my warning. If not.”Rosalie shrugged.”Then it’s your funeral.”

“You really are not making us feel good about this situation.”Jasper was at the point of calling in some friends to deal with the obvious threat that Isabella was as it seemed the nonhuman was not going to be one to negotiate a peaceful coexistence with. At least based on what Rosalie was saying.

“I don’t care whether you do or not. I’m not going to be around to deal with whatever decisions you make about Isabella. Nor will I get involved with the results of those decisions.”Rosalie was going to wipe her hands clean of the Cullen coven. They weren’t her problem anymore. All that was actually tying her to them was her personal belongings and she had already rented a storage unit to store the things that wouldn’t fit in the room Isabella offered to let her stay in. That room being temporary she hoped because Rosalie’s plan was to eventually share a room with Isabella because she had a bed in hers whereas Rosalie’s room didn’t have a furniture. Isabella had told her she could buy whatever she wanted to decorate it and had given her a credit card to pay for everything as Rosalie hadn’t gotten to set up her own bank account yet. That being another thing Isabella was going to help her do. Her mate was even giving Rosalie a hefty sum of money to get started and the contact information of a financial planner that Isabella used to grow her own wealth.

“You wouldn’t stand with us if Isabella became a threat?”Out of all the things Rosalie had said that was the biggest shock to Alice. She would have thought Rosalie would do anything for the family.

“As I know that Isabella would only become a threat to any of you if you provoked her or attacked her then no I will not stand with you. My mate doesn’t care about any of you. She just wants to live her life and while she is in Forks spend time with her father. What you guys do doesn’t concern her at all. The only reason she even reached out to us was because of Edward. If he hadn’t stalked her she wouldn’t have even paid attention to us.”Finding out that Isabella was only staying in Forks for a short time was another reason Rosalie asked to live with her. She wanted them to get close enough that when it was time for Isabella to leave she would take Rosalie with her when she traveled.

“So let me get this straight. Isabella is a very dangerous threat that has powerful vampire allies and your advice for how to deal with her is to just completely ignore her?”Jasper asked.

“If you don’t want to die then yes just ignore her.”Rosalie knew that Isabella wouldn’t waste her time on the Cullens unless they annoyed her or outright challenged her.

“I don’t think we will be able to do that.”Alice was sure that Carlisle would have them confronting Isabella as soon as he came home.

“Then you better hope that Carlisle doesn’t do anything stupid or like I said it’s your funeral.”Rosalie told her.

“You really don’t care what happens to us do you?”Jasper didn’t need his gift to know that Rosalie didn’t feel any kind of love or attachment to the Cullen family anymore.

“I’m not going to lie and say I do because honestly I don’t. Every single one of us has free will and if you decide to follow Carlisle to your death that is your choice. I’m not going to protect you from yourself. It’s not my responsibility.” Rosalie wasn’t going to plead on the Cullens behalf when they got in fight with Isabella. Something that was definitely going to happen. With Carlisle’s want to control everyone Rosalie breaking off from the family was going to piss him and he was going to react. At least that’s what Isabella thought and Rosalie trusted her mate’s opinion on such things as she had more experience dealing with people.

“What happened to you Rosalie?”Alice couldn’t believe the sister she had known for decades was saying such things.

“I met someone who opened my eyes to the world around me. Someone who taught me that it’s alright to have my own opinions and that I am in charge of my own life and I didn’t have to blindly follow anyone to survive.”Rosalie told her.

“It sounds like you are being brainwashed by Isabella.”Jasper said.

“I’m not being brainwashed by Isabella.”If anything Rosalie had been brainwashed by Carlisle. Not that Rosalie wanted to get into that with Alice and Jasper. The pair weren’t trustworthy.

“Well she is definitely influencing you negatively if you are so willing to go against your family. A family that has supported and loved you since the day you were turned.”Alice did not like this new version of Rosalie. The Rosalie she knew was kind, caring and loved the family more than anything. She was the perfect sister. This Rosalie was the complete opposite of that and Alice was positive that Isabella was the reason why and Alice was going to confront Rosalie’s mate and give her a piece of her mind as soon as she got the chance.

“A family that I was only made a part of because Carlisle wanted me to be Edward’s plaything until he found a mate.”Rosalie hadn’t been saved for a noble reason. She was saved because Carlisle thought Edward was lonely and needed female companionship until his real mate came along.

“That’s not true. Carlisle saved you because he couldn’t let you die after something so horrific happened to you.”Alice said.

“If Carlisle was truly the kind, caring compassionate man he claims to be he would have left me die. Instead he changed me and I have been forced to live with the results of the extreme trauma every day of my life. It wasn’t a merciful act to save me it was a selfish one.”Rosalie had always wished that Carlisle had let her die because she still dealt with the mental scars that the event created. Now that she had Isabella in her life she was still angry about it but she was grateful she had someone to help share the burden with her.

“He was trying to give you a second chance at life.”Alice fully believed that Carlisle’s intentions were pure when it came to changing Rosalie.

Rosalie shook her head sadly.“The fact that you actually believe that makes you more of a fool than I originally thought you were.”

“I’m not the fool here. It’s you for not seeing that Isabella has twisted your mind.”Alice knew it was Isabella’s influence that was making Rosalie say all the things she had said since coming back from her house.

“It’s not my mind that’s twisted Alice.”Rosalie wasn’t surprised that Alice was holding on so tightly to the family. The small vampire never hid her want for a perfect family, with perfect parents and perfect siblings. It made Rosalie wonder if that was why Alice and Jasper had sought out the Cullens as those wants were the same as Carlisle’s.

“Why don’t you hold off on moving in with Isabella until everyone gets back and we can talk about this as a family.”Jasper could tell that Alice was getting upset at the thought of Rosalie leaving and figured if they talked with the whole family it would change Rosalie’s mind on not only moving out but on siding with Isabella against the family.

“I don’t have anything to say to the rest of the family and I definitely am not going to continue living here or any other property owned by Carlisle.”That was another thing that Rosalie was ashamed to admit she thought was normal. Rosalie reasoned that being the coven leader it was the best idea for Carlisle to put all their assets in his name. After talking to Isabella she now knew it was simply another way for Carlisle to control them.

“Rosalie you aren’t thinking clearly right now. You caught up in the mating haze and are so caught up in trying to please Isabella that you aren’t making good decisions. Why don’t you spend a few days away from her and then we can talk about everything once you aren’t under Isabella’s influence.”Alice figured if they could get Rosalie away from Isabella Rosalie would be open to listening to them without the mating haze controlling her mind.

Rosalie laughed humorlessly.”My mind is the clearest it’s been since before I was turned and it’s led me to understand that I will be not only better off but a lot more happy living with Isabella.”

“How about we call Carlisle and we see what he has to say?”Jasper suggested.

“If you guys want to Carlisle go ahead. As for me I’m going to go pack. Isabella let me borrow her truck so I will be able to be done quickly.”Rosalie had balked at the condition of the truck she was borrowing and expected it to most likely break down before she made it to the storage unit. She had held back her displeasure with it as it was obvious for some reason Isabella loved the thing. Rosalie was planning on fixing it up the first chance she got.

“Is there nothing we can do to make you stay?”Alice asked.

Rosalie shook her head.”I’ve made my decision and I’m not going to change my mind no matter what you say.”

“We aren’t going to give up on you Rosalie.”Jasper told her.

“Good luck with that.”Rosalie didn’t wait for a reply and simply made her up the stairs to her room. She didn’t doubt Jasper’s statement and predicted that she would be seeing Carlisle and the rest of the family very soon. Rosalie wondered if they would bring Edward with them. She almost hoped they did so she and Isabella could kill him. Not only was Edward dangerous but he was a claiming a false mate bond with Rosalie’s mate. It made Rosalie’s vampire side demand she kill him for trying to take what belonged to her. The feeling of revenge so strong that Rosalie had talked herself out of searching him out personally to do it many times. The only thing stopping her was that she wasn’t much of a fighter and would likely need Isabella’s help. Rosalie thought it would be a good bonding experience for them. It would likely bring the closer together as a couple. That event would happen in the future however. Now Rosalie needed to focus on getting her room packed, her stuff in storage and officially move in with Isabella. If she was lucky Isabella would come with her to pick out stuff to decorate her room. Rosalie liked the thought of them shopping for the house together. It was a very coupley, domestic task and Rosalie would enjoy it very much. Plan firmly in place Rosalie began going through her stuff. The faster she got done the faster she could see Isabella again.
