Death's Visit 7

“Are you alright?”Isabella asked Rosalie as she saw the vampire standing over the badly beaten body of a dead man. Isabella had been called to collect a soul but hadn’t expected that Rosalie would be there or that she would have been the one to kill the man. Figuring Rosalie did the kill so that she could speak to Isabella caused the reaper concern as the pair had plans to meet the next day. That and they had seen each other only a few hours before. That led Isabella to the conclusion that something was wrong. Usually Isabella wouldn’t really care about someone having problems but she had come to see Rosalie as a friend and was quite fond of the blond. That made Isabella want to help make things better for Rosalie.

“I had a fight with Edward and needed to calm down. I thought that talking to you would help.”Rosalie told her.

“What was the fight about?”Isabella wasn’t worried about the man’s soul as it seemed he was in shock at being killed and was just staring at his dead body. She doubted he would take off any time soon.

“Edward took offense to me declaring that I was a lesbian.”Rosalie figured that was close enough to the truth to explain the situation without mentioning the mate bond.

“Why would he take offense to such a thing?”Isabella asked.

“Edward has held on to the beliefs he had during his human years. Those being that women are inferior to men and that homosexuality is a sin that will damn you to hell.”Rosalie explained.

“He thinks homosexuality is a sin?”Isabella had never heard anything so stupid.

Rosalie nodded.”He was changed in the early 1900’s and that was the general consensus at the time. My sire Carlisle was the son of a preacher and although he isn’t as vocal as Edward believes the same thing.”

“You are more likely to go hell for being bigoted against others than following your true nature.”Isabella didn’t understand why humans thought otherwise.

“I wish you could tell Edward all this.”Rosalie would love to see how Edward would react to finding out all his beliefs were wrong.

“Speaking of things to tell Edward. I spoke to St. Peter and Charlie and was told out of the 12 victims Edward killed 3 of them went to hell while the rest went to heaven.”Isabella told her.

“I knew it!!”Rosalie was beyond happy she was proven right.”That means he would go to hell when he dies right?”

“Yes and his afterlife will be especially painful.”Isabella predicted that Edward was going to be treated the same as serial killers when they died.

Rosalie laughed.”I wish I could watch his punishment.”

“When the boy dies I’ll see if I can arrange for you to watch.”Isabella offered.

“I would be allowed to visit even if I wasn’t dead?”Rosalie asked.

“Other reapers have brought living humans to heaven to visit. I don’t think it is against the rules to bring them to hell.”At least Isabella didn’t think there any rules against it.

“Seriously?”Rosalie was very surprised to hear that.

”I personally have never brought anyone but it has happened before.”Isabella never had a reason before but wouldn’t mind bringing Rosalie.

“So if you wanted to you could bring me to heaven to visit?”Rosalie wanted to make sure she understood Isabella right.

Isabella nodded.”I would be more than willing to take you on a visit to heaven or hell if you wanted to witness anyone’s punishments.”

“I’ll have to think about it.”Rosalie was very interested in visiting heaven but wasn’t to sure about hell. Then again it would be a way for her to see Royce and the other men who attacked her getting their punishments. That being something she would love to see.

“Just let me know.”Isabella said.”How did the fight with Edward go?”

“I attacked him but was stopped before I did too much damage.”Rosalie was planing on going right for hid head next time now knowing that Edward was meant to go hell and by killing him she would still be eligible for heaven. If Carlisle had a problem with it she would just break off from the coven. The Denali had offered her a place with their family but Rosalie had always been hesitant to join. She now figured the mate bond with Isabella was the reason she didn’t feel it was right to accept. If she had she wouldn’t have met her mate.

“Do you think he will be a future problem?”Isabella asked.

“I do but I’ll be able to handle him easily.”Rosalie was very confident she would.

“Are your other coven mates on his side?”Isabella wondered what kind of problems Rosalie had with the other members of her coven.

“Carlisle is always on his side and his mate Esme usually follows Carlisle’s lead. As for the others Emmett is my best friend and he hates Edward as much as I do and although Alice likes the idea of a happy family she won’t put up with Edward attacking me. Jasper is Alice’s mate and he supports everything Alice does.”Rosalie didn’t think she would have any backlash from going after Edward from anyone but Carlisle and Esme.

“Is there anything I could do to help you?”Isabella didn’t want Rosalie to be stuck in an unsafe situation.

“Not unless you have millions of dollars you can offer so I can support myself and don’t have to rely on another coven.”Rosalie joked.

“I am more than willing to help you. How many millions do you need?”Isabella asked.

“Wait you actually have money?”Rosalie didn’t think a reaper would need any money nor did she know how they would make any.

“Of course I have money. How else would I be able to buy things for other people?”Isabella wouldn’t steal. It was a major sin.

“How did you acquire your money though?”Rosalie couldn’t figure that part out.

“I get money that is collected by demons while they are on earth.”Isabella told her.

“Demons give you money?”Rosalie wasn’t sure what to think about that.

“Demons can take on the appearance of humans. They are involved in most of the bad things that happen on earth and bad things usually make a lot of money. Be it through casinos, crime or just bad business practices. They collect tons of money from their prey and satan is nice enough to allow reapers to have access to it.”Isabella explained.

“Weird.”Rosalie couldn’t think of a better word to describe the situation.

“That being the case I can easily give you as much money as you need and it wouldn’t even put a dent in the daily earnings the demons bring in.”Isabella knew that no one would care if she gave Rosalie money. Sometimes angels gifted humans money when they needed it. Their money coming from churches instead of demons.

“I’ll think about it.”Rosalie wasn’t against the idea of taking money from demons she just didn’t want Isabella to have to support her. Then again they would be having children in the future and they would have a bunch of expenses that Rosalie wouldn’t feel right asking anyone else to pay for. That meant that Isabella would need to cover their bills.

“The offer is never going away so just let me know.”Isabella told her.

“I will.”Rosalie said.

“Other than your fight with Edward how has your day gone?”Isabella asked.

“After you left I was spending time in my garage working on a project car I am in the process of restoring. It made me wonder if you had ever ridden in a car before.”Rosalie hoped Isabella hadn’t so she could share her love of automobiles with the reaper.

“I have not.”Isabella had followed the invention of the automobile since it’s inception but never had the inclination to ride in one.

“Would you be willing to go for a ride in one if I was driving?”Rosalie asked.

Isabella found she was more than willing to go for a ride if Rosalie was driving.”I would go for a ride with if you wanted.”

“Great I’ll pick out the perfect car for your first ride.”Rosalie was already going through her cars trying to find one she could take Isabella on a drive in.

“I’ve always thought it would be interesting to ride in a convertible.”Isabella had wondered what it would feel like to feel the wind in her hair going at a fast speed.

“We would have to do it on a cloudy day.”Rosalie was sad that they couldn’t go out when it was sunny but it was impossible with her skin.

“Why?”Isabella asked.

“Because when vampires are exposed to the sun their skin sparkles.”Rosalie explained.

“But your guardian angel fixed that so that doesn’t happen to you.”Isabella thought Rosalie knew that.

“What do you mean?”Rosalie didn’t want to get her hopes up before knowing what Isabella was saying.

“I told you that she shielded you so that you would be protected and could hide.”Isabella reminded her.

“I thought that meant just from vampires with mental gifts.”Rosalie said.

“I apologize as I just realized that I didn’t explain it properly.”Isabella really shouldn’t have been in charge of passing on messages.

“That’s alright you can explain it now.”Rosalie was very excited to hear what Isabella had to say.

“Your angel also made it so you could hide amongst humans so that when you had your children you would be able to blend in. To do that you are immune to the sun and can eat human food. Your mate will also be able to get you pregnant and you will be able to carry your own children.”Isabella explained.

“Are you serious?”When Isabella nodded Rosalie couldn't stop the tears from forming or the sobs that overwhelmed her body.

“Why is it I always make you cry?”Isabella immediately wrapped her arms around Rosalie and hugged her.

Rosalie laughed in-between sobs. She couldn’t believe that not only was she getting the chance to have children but she would be able to carry them herself. That and she would be able to experience the world with them and not have to hide away just because of the weather.”It’s happy tears.”

“Are you sure?”Isabella wasn’t completely convinced.

“I promise.”Rosalie’s sobs subsided but she didn’t pull away from Isabella taking comfort in her mate’s arms.

“Having children with your mate really makes you that happy?”Isabella was never around babies or pregnant women for happy reasons. Usually when she showed up death was involved and people were never happy when death was involved.

“Just the idea of having a mate makes me happy. The fact that I can have children with them adds to that happiness.”Rosalie told her.

“Seeing how effected you are by the prospect of having a mate kind of makes want one of my own.”Isabella said.

Rosalie pulled back from Isabella’s body to look her in the eye.”Do you mean that?”

“I hadn’t really given it much thought until I met you. Now seeing how much happiness it brings a person makes me curious to know what it’s like.”Isabella shrugged.”Then again maybe I’m just bored and am looking for new experiences.”

“You would be willing to go through the mate bond ceremony if you had the chance?”Rosalie asked.

“After meeting you and learning how it affects someone I would.”The mate bond had been on Isabella’s mind ever since first speaking to Rosalie. Initially it wasn’t something she would have really cared about but now she wanted to experience it.

Rosalie smiled brightly hearing that.”I’m glad you said that because when I first made eye contact with you I knew that you were my mate.”

“What?”Isabella wasn’t sure she heard Rosalie correctly.

“We are mates. I wasn’t going to say anything until I knew that you would want to go through with the ceremony because I didn’t want to pressure you and have you regret the bond. Now that you are interested in it I figured it was only fair to tell you.”Rosalie told her.

“That is why I keep getting pulled back to your kills and why I am so drawn to you.”It all made sense to Isabella now.

“That what I concluded as well.”Rosalie said.

“I guess the next question is what do you want to do about the bond?”Isabella asked.

“I’m a vampire. As soon as we locked eyes the bond snapped into place for me. I am hundred percent committed to you so the question really should be what do you want to do about the bond?”Rosalie wasn’t going to force Isabella to do anything no matter how much her instincts were telling her to complete the bond anyway she could.

“There are a few things that need to be prepared by our guardian angels before we can do the ceremony. I’m not sure how long it will take them. I will go visit to inform them of my willingness to complete the bond. Since you’re a vampire the bond will affect me the same way it does you as reapers adapt to the traits of those they are bonded to. That means we will probably want to secure a private place for us to exchange bites.”Isabella told her.

“I think us buying a house would be the best thing to do.”Rosalie not only wanted a place of their own but wanted somewhere they wouldn’t have to explain any damage done to the house in case things got a little rough as newly mated vampires were known to get with each other.

Isabella pulled a wallet out of her pocket, opened it and handed Rosalie a credit card and a business card.”You can use the credit card for any purchases you need. The business card is for a demon friend who will help you buy any property you want. It doesn’t matter how much it cost and once he finds out it’s for me and that you are my mate he will try to get you to buy the most expensive, opulent, over the top place he can find. Don’t be afraid to tell him no no matter how much he pouts.”

“A demon is going to help me buy us a home?”Rosalie wasn’t sure how comfortable she was with that.

“You’re my mate demons will now do your bidding not the other way around. Even if it wasn’t that way I am very good friends with most to them as I go out of my way to help them whenever they need it.”Isabella wasn’t worried about anyone trying to force Rosalie to do anything.

“I take it helping demons isn’t normal.”Rosalie said.

“Most reapers avoid hell and stick to spending time in heaven not liking demons or their missions. I personally don’t think an angel is any better than a demon and everyone should be treated as they treat others. That has gained me a lot of friends and respect amongst most. It is also why I think I am one of the few reapers who was granted a mate.”Isabella figured that she was granted a mate because of her positive relationships with the angels.

“I like the idea of treating someone like they treat others.”Rosalie could easily get behind that philosophy.

“Good then you will get along just fine with my friend.”Isabella was predicting by the time Rosalie finished with the demon she was going to be the owner of a very big estate.

“I will contact him as soon as I clean up.”Rosalie had rented a hotel room where she parked her car and stashed a duffle bag full of clothes and cleaning supplies so that this time she would be able to get all the blood off of herself.

“I need to grab this guy and help him pass on. Then I will contact our angels and have them start preparing for the ceremony.”Isabella told her.

“Can I still see you tomorrow?”Rosalie hated that they had to end their time together but wasn’t asking Isabella to stay longer because she desperately wanted to get the ceremony over with.

“I’ll stop by when I get a chance.”Isabella was going to be busy but she would make time for Rosalie.

“I’ll see you tomorrow then.”Rosalie leaned in to give Isabella another hug sighing happily when it was returned.

Isabella gave Rosalie an extra squeeze before releasing her.”I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Bye.”Rosalie said as she watched Isabella fade from view and felt her presence leave. Making her way out the front door of her victim’s cabin Rosalie took off in a run feeling sad that it was dark out. Yes it would be easier to sneak into her hotel room but she wanted to see if she really was immune to the sun. Rosalie already had plans to try eating human food before she went home. She wanted to know if it still tasted gross or if she would be able to enjoy it. She hoped she would be able to enjoy it because she had always found human food interesting. The first things she was going to do after she cleaned up was to call Isabella’s demon friend. She was very excited to be purchasing her and Isabella’s first home together and even more excited that she basically had no spending limit. That meant she could buy her dream home and decorate it exactly how she wanted. She could even build a custom one if she was so inclined. Rosalie pushed that thought away for the time being. They needed a home as soon as possible so they could complete the bond. Maybe in the future she would build a custom home. One with plenty of room for the houseful of children Rosalie was planning to have in the future. That being another thing she needed to ask Isabella about. She was sure Isabella was a woman and didn’t know how they would be able to have children together if they both were women. That was a thought for future Rosalie. Present Rosalie had a list of things to get done and once she did she could start planning everything that she wanted to happen before they had children. A big wedding being one of those things. Rosalie was sure she could convince Isabella to have one as she said that she would feel the bond as if she was vampire and vampires went out of their way to make their mates happy and nothing would make Rosalie happier than a big wedding and big house to raise their big family in.
