Melting The Ice Queen 4

“Can I sit here?”Rosalie asked Alice. She had just walked into her art class and grabbed the painting she was working on. Looking around she found the seat next to Alice was open. Not that it was surprising as most people went out of their way to avoid the Cullens. Rosalie was usually one of them but today she was on a mission. That mission was to find out if Isabella liked women and if she did was the brunette single. Rosalie was hoping the answer would be yes to both those questions. If not she was going to be very disappointed. Rosalie had only spoken to Isabella once but she was drawn to the other girl and desperately wanted a chance to date her.

“Sure.”Alice was trying to keep her excitement in check as she had been waiting all day for this conversation to happen. She hadn’t warned her sister about it but Alice knew that Isabela would be pleased with the results if it went the way Alice had planned.

“Thanks.”Rosalie slid into her seat and set up her project on the easel. Peaking over to see what Alice was working on Rosalie was surprised to find an almost finished painting of Isabella dressed up as a mid evil knight in shiny metal armor holding a sword and shield in her hands. The painting was very life like and Rosalie could almost pass it off an actual picture taken by a camera if she couldn’t see the small brush strokes.”That’s a very good painting.”

“Do you like it?”Alice asked.

“I do. What made you paint it?”Rosalie thought it was a very random subject matter.

“Growing up Isabella would tell me stories about a female peasant who disguised herself as a man and worked her way ups the ranks to become a knight in the king’s army. It was on a mission where she saved the crown prince that it was discovered she was a woman. Usually a woman would have been hung during that time period but because of the woman’s heroic feat she was celebrated and offered a position in the prince’s personal security detail. I always imagined it was Isabella that was the knight she told me about.”Alice was somewhat telling the truth. Isabella wasn’t the ones who told her the stories it was the other three Denali sisters who told her and they weren’t just stories they were based on real events that happened during Isabella’s human life.

“Those sound like stories I would like to read.”Rosalie would love to read a book about a woman who went against society to follow her dreams.

“Maybe you can ask Isabella to tell you sometime.”Alice knew that Isabella didn’t usually like to talk about her human life but figured she would make an exception for her mate.

“Do you think she would be willing to?”Rosalie asked.

“You won’t know unless you ask her.”Alice said.

“Very true.”Rosalie hesitated before asking her next question.”So where is Isabella from? I don’t recognize her accent.”

“She spent most of her life traveling the world so it’s a mix of all the places she has lived. She has been in Italy the past few years going to boarding school so that’s the strongest influence now.”The boarding school story was what they came up with to explain Isabella’s accent and her trouble with English sometimes. It wasn’t that Isabella didn’t know english it was that she didn’t really have a chance to speak it often as the vampires she came in contact with mostly spoke Italian with the exception of her sisters which spoke Slovak.

“She went to boarding school?”Rosalie asked.

“All her life she has gone to different boarding schools. She transferred here so that we could spend time together. Her sisters and her bought a house on the outside of town close to my family’s.”Alice explained.

“She mentioned her sister bought her the Shelby.”Rosalie was happy that it seemed that Isabella was planning on staying in the area. Her family wouldn’t have bought a house if they planned on leaving.

“It’s a great car. I’ve begged her many times to let me drive it but she is really protective of it. I’m actually surprised that she lets people ride in it. That’s how much she loves it.”Alice told her.

“She doesn’t let people drive it?”Rosalie wondered why Isabella was letting her drive it if she never let anyone else.

“Isabella is very particular about who she lets touch her cars. She is an avid collector and takes great pride in keeping them in mint condition.”Alice was still trying to get Isabella to drive her Koenigsegg Jesko Absolute. It was named the fastest car in the world and Alice was extremely jealous Isabella was able to get her hands on one. Then again she was extremely jealous of most things Isabella was able to get. The vampire had so many contacts all over the world that she could get anything she wanted without a problem. It did benefit Alice when she wanted a custom piece made by specific designers or the when Alice needed to get her hands on limited edition footwear. So she really couldn’t complain.

Rosalie perked up hearing that.”She has a collection?”

“My cousin is obsessed with cars. They fascinate her. Ever since she learned to drive she has been adding to her collection. She has warehouses all over the world filled with cars and other transportation vehicles.”Alice could understand Isabella’s interest as she spent thousands of years relying on animals and carts to travel. Even now Isabella had problems wrapping her mind around how cars worked.

“She has warehouses all over the world filled with cars?”Rosalie wasn’t sure she believed that.

“Isabella is the heir to a large fortune. She could easily afford to buy numerous countries and still have money left over.”Alice didn’t feel like she had to lie to Rosalie about how much money Isabella had. It would just make it so Rosalie didn’t feel bad about Isabella buying things for her.

“She said her family was rich but I didn’t think she was that rich.”Rosalie couldn’t imagine having that much money.

“Isabella is worth a lot more than my family could ever wish to be. She and her sisters live the life of luxury.”Alice had always been somewhat jealous that the Denali sisters were able to live the life they chose. They didn’t have to worry about the sun so they went on tropical vacations and had properties all over the world. Plus they had unlimited wealth as Isabella made more than enough to last them to the rest of time. Alice knew that she would be more than welcome to join the coven but she felt connected to the Cullens. That didn’t mean Isabella didn’t help out. She took Alice on vacations and gave her a very generous allowance. A lot more than what Carlisle could afford to give her. He was not very good with investing his money and they were very careful how they spent it. Alice seeing seeing the future didn’t help much because she couldn’t control her visions so it made it hard to predict what was going to happen.

“She doesn’t really flaunt it.”Other than her car and phone Rosalie couldn’t really see any sign that Isabella was worth that much money.

“My cousin is very humble and also very generous. I once mentioned that I liked a pair of limited edition shoes and was sad I couldn’t get a pair in my size. In the mail a week later was a custom made, one of kind pair of shoes the designer made specifically for me. I found out later that Isabella contacted the designer and paid him a bunch of money to make me the shoes so I would have something better than just limited edition pair I missed out on.”That was just one of the many things Isabella had done to show Alice how much she cared.

“That is incredibly nice of her.”Rosalie couldn’t imagine any one in her life would go out their way to buy her her favorite ice cream let alone commission a pair of shoes just because she was sad about not getting a different pair.

“Isabella always goes above and beyond for the people she cares about.”Alice knew that Rosalie was one of those people.

“Is she dating anyone right now?”Rosalie asked.

“She isn’t.”Alice told her.

Rosalie did an internal fist pump hearing that.“What’s her type?”

“She likes women who can hold their own, are kind to others, aren’t full of themselves, are intelligent and have a good sense of humor.”Alice said.

“She likes women?”Rosalie had to stop herself from jump up with joy hearing that.

“Yes, Isabella is a lesbian.”Alice confirmed.

“Why is she single?”Rosalie would have figured that Isabella would have plenty of options.

“She hasn’t found anyone who has caught her interest yet.”Alice knew that Isabella had been waiting for her mate but this wasn’t the time to tell Rosalie about mate bonds.

“Do you think maybe if I asked her out she would be willing to give me a chance?”Rosalie blushed as she realized what she just blurted out.

Alice tried to hide the bright smile that came hearing Rosalie’s question.”I think that by giving you her number she already has.”

“What do you mean?”Rosalie asked.

“Isabella doesn’t give her number to anyone outside of our family members. The fact that you have it is her showing her interest while letting you decide if you want to pursue her. She would never push you to do anything you didn’t want to. That means the ball is in your court. If you want to ask her out then do it because she already made her move.”Alice told her.

“Where would I even take her on a date?”Rosalie hadn’t really noticed it happening but now that she had been talking to Alice this whole time she noticed that she felt completely comfortable with the small black haired girl. It made her regret not reaching out to her before this.

“She likes movies but doesn’t get the chance to go often. So maybe dinner and a movie.”Alice knew that having dinner with Rosalie wasn’t going to be a problem for Isabella because she had long ago trained herself to eat human food without getting sick.

“That wouldn’t be a problem.”Rosalie said trying to think about when she would have free time to go.”I don’t have a car would it be rude for me to ask her to drive?”

“Not at all. She would prefer it.”Alice said. The bell ringing stopped any further conversation. Putting her painting back in her designated spot Alice gave turned to Rosalie.”You should text her this afternoon to ask her. If you don’t she will think you aren’t interested.”

“Thanks Alice.”Rosalie put her painting away and grabbed her bag. Leaving the room she thought about everything she had just learned from Alice. Not only was Isabella a lesbian but she was single and if Rosalie went by what Alice said Isabella was interested in Rosalie. Rosalie knew that Alice had no reason to lie so she believed her when she said that Isabella gave Rosalie her number for Rosalie to ask her out. The thought that she was going to get to go on a date made Rosalie smile. Here were all the boys in the school drooling over Isabella, fighting for her attention and she had given it willingly to Rosalie. Rosalie would never admit it out loud but it puffed up her ego to know someone as wealthy and sexy as Isabella was interested in her. Now she just had to plan a date. She wanted it to be special but she was limited with not only how much money she could spend but were she could take Isabella to have a romantic experience. She hated that she had cheerleading practice that afternoon because it meant that she had to wait until she got home to research different date options. It didn’t matter in the end. Isabella wanted to go out with her and Rosalie wasn’t going to let a bit of uncertainty ruin her mood.
