“Why did you buy a bed?”Alice asked Rosalie. Rosalie cursed herself for not shutting the door to her bedroom behind her when she entered. She was just planning on grabbing the car manual she needed for the project she was working on and didn’t realize that of course one of her family members would see the new piece of furniture in her room. She should have been more careful but she had been thinking about Isabella riding in a car and it slipped her mind. Rosalie was curious if the reaper had ever ridden in a vehicle before or even drove one. She doubted it and was trying to figure out a way to convince Isabella to ride in one of her cars with her and if she would what car should Rosalie pick to drive. She would have to find out if Isabella minded going fast because she had a fantasy of driving in one of her expensive sports car speeding through the streets with her mate by her side.

“I thought it would be nice to have a comfortable place to lay down.”Rosalie wasn’t exactly lying. She did want a comfortable place to lie down. Lie down naked with her equally as naked mate while having passionate, toe curling sex. Alice didn’t need to know that however.

“You wanted a place to lay down?”Alice wasn’t sure she believed that.

“Yes, I wanted someplace other than my window seat to be able to stretch out while I’m in my room.”Rosalie told her.

“You decided to skip school to buy a bed?”Alice asked.

“I decided to skip school because I hate going and will take any chance I can get to not waste my time with a bunch of horny teenagers.”Rosalie would take any opportunity to skip school. It did make her wonder what was going to happen when Isabella and her became officially mated. It was obvious the reaper wouldn’t be going to high school with them but what did that mean for Rosalie. Especially when they had children. There was no way Rosalie was going to spend time away from them to play high school student. It was something to speak to Isabella about later. After she convinced her to complete the mate bond.

Alice had a feeling that wasn’t the whole reason for Rosalie skipping.”You have been acting weird lately. Ever since you killed those guys in Port Angles.”

“That was a very triggering experience. It will take me some time to get over it.”Rosalie was actually over the incident. The men got what they deserved and Rosalie didn’t regret killing them. After finding out that it wouldn’t get her a ticket straight to hell she wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Something that would probably be guaranteed to happen in the future as it was the only way she had of contacting her mate.

“That’s not all though. You came home last night with the ability to block our gifts and then you bought a bed.”Alice said.

“Is there a point to this Alice?”Rosalie asked.

“My point is that I can tell you are hiding something and I don’t understand why you are. We don’t keep secrets in this family but it’s obvious you are keeping many.”Alice was hurt that Rosalie didn’t trust them to know what was she was hiding.

“The reason we don’t keep secrets is because it’s impossible to do so with Edward reading our minds, you having visions of what we are doing and Jasper being able to know what we are feeling. You all expose anything we want to keep private without anyone’s permission.”Rosalie had always hated that everything she did was broadcasted to the world. Now having the ability to stop it from happening she was going to keep all the things she always wanted to keep private away from others.

“That may be true but it doesn’t mean that you need to lie to us.”Alice knew Rosalie was right but hadn’t really thought there was anything wrong with having no secrets. It made the family closer.

“I am not lying to anyone. I’m simply not telling you every detail of my life.”Rosalie didn’t feel bad not telling everyone about Isabella and how she got the block. It was none of their business.

“If you don’t want to tell everyone else you could at least told me. I thought we were close.”Alice had thought that Rosalie and her were best friends.

”We are close. This is just something I can’t talk about. At least not yet.”Rosalie wouldn’t keep Alice and the others in the dark about Isabella forever she just needed to wait until Isabella completed the bonding ceremony.

“Why not?”Alice asked.

“Because it would ruin everything I’m trying to work for.”Rosalie told her.

“If you told me what you were doing I could help you. Even if my gift no longer works on you it could be helpful.”Alice knew that she would be useful to Rosalie.

“You gift isn’t going to work in this situation.”At least Rosalie didn’t think it would. She figured if it did then Alice would have already known about Isabella.

“Why not?”Alice didn’t understand anything that was going on.

“Because it won’t. Now I have things to do.”Rosalie said as she grabbed her book and shooed Alice out of her room making sure to shut the door behind her. She hoped that it would take some time before everyone else found out about the bed but as she walked down the stairs and saw Edward staring at her from his spot on the couch with his human mate she knew that hope was for not.

“Why did you buy a bed?”Edward had heard Alice and Rosalie’s conversation and wanted to know what Rosalie was up to. He had known she was lying to them about something and hearing her admit it to Alice made him even more determined to find out what.

“Because I wanted to.”Rosalie wasn’t going to explain herself to Edward.

“Rosalie got a bed?”Jasper was surprised to hear that. Rosalie had stopped Esme from putting one in each of her bedrooms in the other houses they owned.

“Yes I did.”Rosalie hated that she just didn’t let Esme buy her a bed after she was turned. It would have stopped this conversation from happening.

“What for?”Emmett asked.

“Like I just said because I wanted to.”Rosalie told him.

“What’s the real reason?”Edward knew that Rosalie bought the bed for a specific purpose.

“What I do is none of your concern.”Rosalie wasn’t going to tell Edward anything.

“Rosalie do you have a secret lover we don’t know about? Is that why you bought the bed and stayed home from school. Was it your turn to host them?”Emmett asked.

“Wait did you find your mate?”Alice couldn’t believe she didn’t think of that but Emmett’s guess made sense. Why else would Rosalie had bought a bed. It definitely couldn’t be for some random hookup as Rosalie was adamant about waiting for her mate.

Rosalie tried to decide exactly what to share with her family. She initially didn’t want to tell them about the mate bond until she could convince Isabella to go through with the ceremony. Now though she thought if she confirmed it she could use it as an excuse for why she did things.”Yes, I found my mate.”

“This is so exciting!!”Alice grabbed Rosalie and pulled her into a hug.

“Who is the lucky lady?”Emmett was very happy for Rosalie.

“It will be a man Emmett not a woman.”Edward corrected.

“HER name is Isabella.”Rosalie made sure to put an emphasis on the word her.

“You can’t be mated to a woman Rosalie. Not only is it impossible but it’s immoral.”Edward wouldn’t stand for one of his family members being in a homosexual relationship.

“Same sex mated couples are quite common amongst vampires.”Jasper told him.

“It doesn’t matter if they are common. I won’t put up with that kind of degenerate behavior in my home.”Edward would not allow anyone to act like that around him.

Rosalie growled.“You shut your fucking mouth Edward!”

“Watch your tone Rosalie or I will be forced to remind you of your place.”Edward warned.

“My place?”Rosalie asked.

“Yes, your place in this family is to look pretty and behave like a proper lady. Swearing, raising your voice and being in a homosexual relationship are not things that I will allow you to do.”Edward jumped up from his seat when not only Rosalie but Emmett lunged for him. He was able to get away from Emmett because he had heard his thoughts but wasn’t fast enough to stop Rosalie. Before he knew what was happening he was slamming though the wall landing on the front lawn with Rosalie on top of him punching his face.

Rosalie continued to happily pummel Edward’s face having no plans on stopping. She was going to cause him pain before she took his head. It was after she ripped his left ear off she was pulled off his by two sets of arms.”Let me go!”

“Can’t do that.”Jasper held on as tight as he could and with Alice’s help were able to pull Rosalie off of Edward. He was upset that his gift no longer worked on Rosalie because he didn’t have a way to calm her down.

“I’m not done with him yet.”Rosalie hadn’t begun the various torture methods she was planning on using on the mind reader.

“Yes well I have no doubt that you will get many chances in the future.”Jasper knew that Edward was going to run his mouth again as soon as he regrouped.

“I get dibs next.”Emmett wanted to give Rosalie her chance first. The next time Edward said something he was going to get in a few punches and take a limb or two.

“Edward!”Linda rushed to Edward’s side and began crying seeing all the damage done to his face.

“I’m alright. She didn’t hurt me.”Edward flinched when he heard Rosalie growl. He may have been bested by her once but he would be ready for her next time. She had just gotten lucky.

“Why doesn’t Edward go fix his face and reattached his ear, then he can go hunt while I spend time with Linda.”Alice suggested. She desperately wanted to talk to Rosalie about her mate but couldn’t do that until everything calmed down.

Rosalie shrugged out of Jasper and Alice’s hold.”I’m going to my garage.”

“Good idea.”Jasper didn’t think it would be a good idea to have Rosalie and Edward in the same area together.

“Don’t bother me for anything but an emergency.”Rosalie told them. Not waiting for a reply she made her way to living room to get her manual she dropped when she went after Edward. She wished she could talk to Isabella. Her mate would able to calm her down. Maybe she would go out later and kill someone to get the chance. She had hundreds of names of bad men that deserved it. Rosalie would just have to go to a different part of the state to pick her victim. Hopefully Isabella wouldn’t mind seeing her. Maybe it would be a good way of brining up her attraction to women and to find out if Isabella had a problem with lesbians. Rosalie doubted they would be mated to each other if she did but Isabella may have different views because of not feeling the mate bond. Rosalie tried to think of how likely it would to get caught if she left right then to go kill someone. She desperately wanted to see her mate and waiting a couple hours wasn’t that appealing. Grabbing her book she made her way to her bedroom instead of her garage. Closing the door after entering Rosalie grabbed her computer and took a seat on her bed. She brought up the website for the national sex offender registry and looked for anyone who lived away from any neighbors. Finding one that lived in a cabin out in the middle of nowhere. Rosalie knew she had the perfect victim. Rushing to change out of her coveralls Rosalie made sure she picked an outfit that made her look attractive that she didn’t have to worry about getting ruined. She wanted to look good for her mate. It didn’t matter that she would probably get covered in blood she wanted Isabella to see her at her best.
