“Why do you keep calling all these meetings?”Kate asked as she entered the living room with Jasper, Emmett and her puppy. They had been working on setting up the training grounds after they made a trip into town to pick up some supplies they needed to modify the land. Kate had been having a good time and was excited to get the training started. The family needed the practice as most of them were not at the skill level needed to face any of the current threats against them. Something that was going to push them past their limits to get them ready for. There was no way Kate was going to let anyone in her family get hurt because they weren’t prepared. Not when she was in charge of making them better.

“I call these meetings because we need to all be informed of any new developments that we find out about.”Tanya told her.

“At least you guys are back to being vampires.”Edith felt a lot more confident in their chances having Tanya and Rosalie able to help if it came to a fight.

“With the threats against us both myself and Tanya decided that we aren’t going to take the chance to be human again until things settle down.”Rosalie wasn’t very happy about it but it would be more beneficial not having two vulnerable humans the family would need to protect.

“That’s a wise decision.”Jasper agreed that it wouldn’t be smart to have two humans around that could easily get hurt and wouldn’t be able to help the family in a fight.

“I still thinks it’s unfair that you guys get to be human at all.”Kate wanted the chance to be human. She had prayed to Artemis asking the goddess to turn her back but had gotten no reply. Kate was still going to pray and hope that the goddess would grant her the ability to be human again.

“Anyway. The reason for the meeting.”Tanya wanted to get Kate off the topic of being human. If she didn’t Tanya knew that Kate would start a fight that would lead to Rosalie attacking her as was what happened every time Isabella helping them was brought up in front of the former Cullen.”I got a phone call from Siobhan.”

“Why would Siobhan of all people call you?”Emmett didn’t understand why one of Carlisle’s allies would reach out to the enemy.

“Apparently they are not as dedicated to Carlisle’s cause as Carlisle and Edward believe.”Tanya told them.

“What do you mean?”Carmen asked.

“Siobhan told me that they knew right away that Edward and Carlisle were lying. The idiots actually thought they could trick Maggie’s gift.”That was one of the things Tanya couldn’t figure out. With Maggie’s gift the Irish coven would have known Carlisle and Edward were lying. It didn’t make sense that they would align themself with the pair.

“Why did I hear that they have sided with them then?”Eleazar had been told by numerous sources that Irish coven had joined Carlisle and Edward’s cause.

“Siobhan explained to me that they went along with them because of the vampires that Carlisle has collected that they brought to their territory to recruit the trio. She said that none of them were people that they would even consider even speaking to normally but having the over two dozen of them show up at their doorstep made them hesitant to reject Carlisle and Edward right away. They feared if they started a fight it would bring the attention of the Volturi so they waited until Carlisle sent everyone on their way to make their move to break free of them.”Tanya explained.

“Carlisle brought all of them to Ireland without even contacting the Irish coven first?”Edith would have thought they would have at least reached out to Siobhan.

“It seems Carlisle has decided to use their property as their base of operations.”Tanya didn’t know what Carlisle was thinking when he made that decision. He wasn’t that close with the Irish coven.

“What is Siobhan planning to do?”Eleazar doubted they would want to stick around if they weren’t on Carlisle’s side.

“After telling her what was really going on and about Isabella being a goddess and mine and Rosalie’s mate she asked if they would be allowed to come and stay with us until this Carlisle situation was dealt with. I said I wasn’t opposed I just needed to ask all of you before I gave her permission.”Tanya wanted to say yes as it would be beneficial to have the trio around.

Jasper was thinking the same thing as Tanya.”The Irish coven would be a big help against anyone who tries to attack us. The fighting ability of Siobhan and Liam could turn the tide in the future if we are met with a huge force.”

“That’s very true.”Rosalie would happily have talented warriors around to help protect her family.

“I don’t mind them coming.”Kate would easily welcome the Irish coven. They were stand up vampires and were known to be trustworthy. The fact that one of their members could literally never tell a lie helped to prove that trustworthiness.

“I enjoy the Irish coven.”Irina didn’t have any problems with the Irish coven. They were pleasant to be around and overall nice people.

“We don’t mind either.”Edith said Emmett nodding in agreement.

“You know we are all for anyone that can help us.”Alice said.

“Myself and Eleazar are in agreement with everyone else. We would happily welcome the Irish coven.”Carmen was of the same thought as everyone else. Any help would be nice.

“Good I’ll text her now.”Tanya pulled out her phone and sent the text. She would have called but Siobhan wasn’t sure when she would get a chance to be alone again not to be overheard.

“Did she tell you anything about what Carlisle has planned?”Jasper asked.

“Right now he is trying to recruit and the vampires he is reaching out to are not the cream of the crop. Most of them are scum that even the Volturi wouldn’t trust.”Tanya told them.

“I’m not surprised. Carlisle may have some respect but not enough to rally anyone onto his side that wouldn’t go straight to the kings to tell them of Carlisle’s claims.”Edith didn’t think anyone respectful would follow Carlisle in his vendetta.

“Siobhan said it was beyond obvious that Carlisle’s intention was not to kill Isabella but to capture her and exploit her abilities.”Tanya expected the many growls and exclamations of outrage coming from the family hearing that. Rosalie’s of course the loudest.

“I hope you all know that I am not letting him or Edward get out of this alive.”Rosalie wasn’t going to let anyone who thought they could capture and exploit her mate continue living. She didn’t care if she had to kill off the entire vampire population to keep Isabella safe. Even if the goddess didn’t need her protection.

“I don’t think any of us will object to those two being killed.”Emmet knew he wasn’t going to hold back.

“At this point neither are redeemable.”Irina wouldn’t let a threat to her family continue to exist.

“They are either going to be killed by us or the kings because Siobhan told me she heard Carlisle telling a few of them that his ultimate goal is to overthrow the kings.”Tanya knew Carlisle was full of himself but didn’t think he would be stupid enough to take on the Volturi.

“That’s probably why they are focused on capturing Isabella. If they had her on their side they would be able to kill the kings and the guard easily. Not that they know everything you can do but they know you’re a goddess. That’s makes you are a formable opponent.”Japser said.

“They have to be morons to think that any goddess would do their bidding. That and they would be able to control one.”Isabella wasn’t sure why Carlisle and Edward thought they were powerful enough to subdue her.

“With how religious both of them are I bet they think you aren’t really a goddess. That you are just a supernatural that is so full of themselves you call yourself that.”Rosalie knew even with proof they pair wouldn’t stray from their belief in the christian god.

“They are religious to the point of being zealots.”Alice didn’t think anything would change the pair’s minds on there being only one god.

“I have no qualms about people believing in any religion they want to. The only thing I have a problem with is if they use that religion to spread hatred and violence. From what I can tell of both men it seems they use their beliefs as a weapon to justify their own biases.”Isabella wasn’t impressed with the pair and knew that when they died she wasn’t going to be very lenient when cycling their souls. She had no doubt after going over everything they had done as humans and vampires they were probably going to be treated the same as Rosalie’s attackers.

“The biggest thing they use it to justify is their homophobia.”Edith had heard many rants from both Carlisle and Edward about how homosexuals were doomed to eternal damnation and couldn’t be saved.

“I had met with Carlisle’s father when he passed. The man may have been priest but he didn’t use his voice to condemn others.”Isabella didn’t understand Carlisle’s beliefs got so twisted.

“I didn’t even think of the fact that you would have judged his father’s soul.”Rosalie said.

“What was he like?”Irina asked.

“His father was a kind man who went out of his way to help others. He didn’t judge a person based on anything other than how they treated others and was a big advocate for the poor and the handicap. His main cause was trying to get rights for lepers who at that time were not treated, they simply sent away from civilization to fend for themselves.”Isabella had rewarded the man for his efforts and allowed him to pick what he wanted to be reincarnated as. He had chosen to once again to be a religious leader. His reasoning being that even though he knew the truth about the gods he wanted be able to influence the public to do good and be kind to others.

“Carlisle always said that his beliefs were based on his father’s sermons. If that isn’t true then how did he get so twisted?”Emmett didn’t understand if Carlisle’s father was so accepting of people how Carlisle turned into such a judgmental jerk.

“If you spoke to his father then was Carlisle telling the truth about his origin?”Carmen asked.

“What does he claim his origin was?”Isabella wasn’t aware of Carlisle’s life as he had not died and his soul had not been brought to her to be judge. Something that based on what everyone was saying was going to happen soon.

“He told us that his father had gathered a group of villagers to hunt vampires. On one of those hunts they actually encountered one that Carlisle chased into a sewer where it attacked him and left him to turn on his own. He said that he buried himself in a pile of rotting potatoes and stayed silent through out the change. His sire abandoned him and once he woke up he took into the forest where he learned to feed off animals.”Edith and everyone else who encountered Carlisle knew the story very well as Carlisle told it often to brag about his self control.

Isabella chuckled.”No that’s not how it went at all.”

“How did it really happened then?”Kate was excited to learn Carlisle’s secrets. Secrets she hoped she could use against him when they finally attacked.

“While it’s true he was involved in a group hunting demons his father wasn’t leading it. He father was a vocal opponent against the group because they would kill innocent humans that were in no way demons. Most of them falsely accused by rivals or others who had a grudge against them. That or if they were different than everyone else.”Isabella hated when humans got so radical but it was something that happened when you gave a species free will.

“His didn’t agree with the demon hunters?”Alice asked.

“No he was actually put in jail with a few others who tried to save some of the victims. The only reason he wasn’t killed for his involvement was because he was a priest and had the backing of a lot of important people. Important people who eventually stepped in to stop the hunts but only after a noble man’s son was killed. That was after Carlisle was turned however.”Isabella told them.

“So back to Carlisle’s sire. How did he meet him?”Rosalie was enthralled with the story. It was completely different than Carlisle told them and she wanted to know what really happened.

“From what I learned from Carlisle’s sire was that Carlisle didn’t join these hunts because he wanted to rid the world of demons. He joined the hunts so he could find a demon that would grant him immortality.”Isabella was cut off by Emmett before she could continue.

“You are saying that Carlisle actually chose to be a vampire because he wanted to live forever?”Emmett wanted to make sure he understood exactly what Isabella was saying.

Isabella nodded.”When rumors of dead humans drained of their blood got back to Carlisle he searched high and low trying to find the vampire responsible. Carlisle’s sire found out about a man asking questions and was curious enough that he sought Carlisle out to find out what he wanted as it was obvious to him that Carlisle wasn’t trying to kill him.”

“I’m not saying you’re lying but this is the exact opposite of what Carlisle told us.”Alice knew Isabella was being truthful it was just hard to wrap her head around the fact that Carlisle had actually wanted to be a vampire.

“Yeah I mean Carlisle has always complained about being a vampire. How he would do anything to be human again and now we learn he actually wanted to turn is just so unbelievable.”Edith said.

“He not only wanted to be turned but he actually paid the vampire to turn him.”Isabella told them.

“How much money did he give him?”Carmen asked.

“He didn’t give him money. He provided his sire with four young virgin men.”Isabella was unsurprised but the shock and outrage the group expressed hearing the price.

Tanya was the first one to get enough control to form a sentence.”He traded a bunch of young boys for the chance at immortality?”

“His sire would have taken gold but Carlisle didn’t want to part with any so he offered the boys instead.”Isabella said.

“That sick bastard.”Rosalie could easily believe that Carlisle would sacrifice others to get what he wanted. Him changing Rosalie for Edward was more than enough proof of that.

“What happened to Carlisle after his sire turned him?”Jasper knew that there had to be more to the story.

“His sire stayed with him during his first two years as vampire to make sure he didn’t act out and get on the Volturi’s radar. During that time Carlisle hunted humans. The only reason he started with the animal blood diet was because he was hoping that if he did that he would be able to gain a large enough following that he would be able to fulfill his dream of being a king. His ambition was the reason his sire cut ties with him.”Isabella knew the man although not the most respectable did regret turning Carlisle.

“Shit.”Kate wasn’t the only one who was stunned hearing Carlisle’s reason for turning to animal blood.

“This whole time he has lording the fact that he has never killed a human over everyone he meets and it’s all been a lie.”Edith didn’t know what to feel about learning all this. Mostly she felt angry at Carlisle for the punishments and lectures he gave her after she had slipped and killed humans when she was first turned.

“I really am going to enjoy killing him.”Rosalie was going to make sure that Carlisle knew that they knew the truth about him. Even if he refused to admit it out loud Rosalie knew that he would be devastated that they had found out.

“To be able to succeed in doing that we all need to train. Something that I think we should begin doing today.”Now that Tanya knew that Carlisle was recruiting vampires for the purpose of capturing her mate she wanted the family to get into fighting shape as soon as possible.

“I agree. Once Carlisle realizes the Irish coven have left he is going to act out. His pride will make him. What he will do I don’t know but I do think he will know they contacted Tanya. That means he may attack sooner than he was originally planning.”Jasper told them.

“The training area is all ready for us to start.”Kate said.

“Then why doesn’t everyone change and meet us out there.”Tanya suggested.

Rosalie grabbed Isabella’s hand and led her to Tanya’s room.”Are you going to train with us?”

“I am not going to get involved as no one could match my skills. I will however watch and heal any damage done to all of you.”Isabella wasn’t one to condone violence but in this instance she would overlooked it as the safety of her mates and their family was on the line.

“I’m sure you will be needed numerous times before we are done.”Rosalie bet that at least half of them were going to be injured. Which wouldn’t be that bad of a thing. Pain was a great teacher. It made you adapt so you could make sure the injury never happened again. Not that she wanted to get hurt. Rosalie just wasn’t afraid to be. The fact that Isabella would heal them might of made her more relaxed about it as well. The healing would also allow them to train harder because they wouldn’t have to worry about waiting for their bodies to heal and having to take the time to feed so that they could get back to full strength. Thinking of feeding Rosalie was reminded that Isabella still needed to go steal blood bags for them. Rosalie wanted to go with the goddess when she did it but figured that she would just be a hindrance. It was silly to worry about Isabella getting caught but the mate bond made Rosalie worry about both of her mates equally. It didn’t matter that Isabella wasn’t able to be hurt by anyone other than other gods and titans. All that matter was that she was Rosalie mate and her beast demanded that Rosalie protect her. Even when it wasn’t necessary.
