“Doctor Rena I would like to introduce you to my daughters Rosalie and her pregnant mate Bella.”Sulpicia said as she led Rosalie, Bella and the other two queens into a room that was set up like a hospital room. It contained what Bella could see was all the latest medical devices and Bella realized that the queens must have set this up specifically for her. She was touched that the queens did all this without even knowing they were bonded. It just showed how caring the monarchs were. They were definitely nothing like Carlisle and the rest of the Cullens tried to make them out to be. Even Emmett had nothing good to say about them. Bella scowled thinking about Emmett. She wanted nothing more than to kill him for what he put Rosalie through. She wouldn’t take the chance away from Rosalie though. Her mate deserved to be the one to kill the man who had fooled her for so long.

“You ok?”Rosalie asked Bella having noticed the scowl.

Bella pushed the thoughts of the Cullens out of her mind. She had more important things to focus on. The health of the baby being one of them.”Yeah.”

“Alright.”Rosalie would ask Bella about it later. It was obvious that the human didn’t want to talk about it in front of the others.

“Bella, Rosalie this is Dr. Rena. She is the doctor we told you about.”Sulpicia had also noticed the scowl and just like Rosalie would be asking about it later.

“Thank you for coming to help.”Rosalie wasn’t that comfortable with another vampire being that close to Bella but would put up with it as the doctor was the one who knew how to keep Bella and the baby safe.

“It’s my pleasure your highness.”Dr.Rena said.

“That being said let’s get started. Dr.Rena what do you need to do?”Didyme asked.

“I need to take some blood to not only make sure the baby and their mother are healthy but to see the level of venom that is in the princess’ body. That way we will know when she will need to start getting IV’s of blood.”Dr.Rena told them.

”I don’t want you taking my mate’s blood.”Rosalie did not like the idea of anyone taking Bella’s blood.

“It’s to make sure the baby and I are ok Rose.”Bella understood why Rosalie was upset but they needed to do the test.

“Myself and your other mothers feel the exact same way as you do. I don’t even like the fact that there is another vampire this close to Bella. However I know that the only way to know for sure that Bella and the baby are safe is to let the doctor do her job. We picked her for a reason and I trust her. If I didn’t she wouldn’t be in this room right now.”Sulpicia was just as hesitant to let the doctor take Bella’s blood but knew it was the only way to make sure Bella and the baby were alright.

Rosalie took a deep breath to get control over her emotions. The queen was right. The doctor was the only one who could confirm the safety of her mate and their child. Trying to convince her beast to not react was going to be hard but she would do it for Bella and the baby.”Alright.”

“Thank you. Do you have any problem with needles?”Dr.Rena asked Bella.

“No, I have had my blood drawn before and have never had a problem doing it.”Bella told her.

“That will make this easier.”Dr.Rena opened a package with the instruments needed to take the blood.”You’ll feel a little pinch.”

Athenodora watched the doctor like a hawk waiting to step in incase something went wrong.”Does that hurt you?”

“Not at all. Like the Doctor said. It’s just feels like a little pinch and then there is no pain.”Bella was an old pro at giving blood. She had donated numerous times throughout her life.

“Good.”Didyme didn’t want any of this to hurt Bella.

Dr.Rena pulled the needle out of Bella’s arm and put a piece of cotton over the wound. She then covered it with a band aide.”There is nothing wrong with the wound this is just to catch any extra blood.”

“How do we take care of it?”Rosalie wanted to make sure the wound didn’t get infected.

“I’ll check it before the princess leaves. If it isn’t still bleeding then all you need to do is wash the area and then it will heal on it’s on.”Dr.Rena told her.

“That is easy to do.”Sulpicia feared they would have to deal with Bella having an open wound they would have to clean and dress. That would have made all of Bella’s bonds mates even more stressed and Sulpicia doubted Bella would like dealing with them being even more protective.

“Now if you would princess could you lay down on the table?”Dr.Rena asked.

“What are you going to do now?”Didyme hoped it wasn’t something that was invasive. She was already holding back her urges to grab Bella and run her out of the room away from everyone to keep her safe.

“I”m going to take an ultrasound to measure the growth of the baby.”Dr.Rena told her.

“Does that mean we get to see the baby?”Bella hoped so.

Dr.Rena moved a machine from the corner of the room close to the bed.”As it is a hybrid I had to get an ultrasound that is usually used to scan through strong metals. A regular one wouldn’t be able to pierce through the hardened venom that surrounds your baby.”

“Will this be safe to use on both of them?”Rosalie wanted to see their baby but not if it hurt the pair to do it.

“Perfectly safe.”Dr.Rena assured her. She wheeled over a large machine and positioned it over Bella’s mid section.”How this will work is once I turn on the machine an image of the baby will appear on the screen behind me.”

Bella held out her hand for Rosalie to take. Once she did Bella squeezed it as hard as she could.”I hope everything is alright.”

“Everything will be perfectly fine.”Rosalie was worried but excited as well.

“Alright everyone turn your attention to the screen and you will see the baby in just one moment.”Dr.rRena said.

Rosalie’s eyes filled with tears as she an image of her baby came on the screen. It was one thing to feel the baby and to hear its heartbeat but it was a totally different thing to see them.”Bella that’s our baby.”

“Are they ok?”Bella asked Dr.Rena.

Dr.Rena took a moment to look at the screen before replying.”Everything looks good. As matter of fact you are far enough along that I can tell whether you are having a girl or a boy. Would you like to know?”

“Yes we would.”Sulpicia grunted when she felt an elbow in her side. She glared at Didyme.”Why did you do that?”

“Because it is up to Bella and Rosalie if they want to know the sex of the baby.”Didyme wanted to know as well but wouldn’t push for the information if Rosalie and Bella didn’t want to know.

“You’re right of course.”Sulpicia felt silly for trying to make the choice for her daughters.”What do you think Rosalie, Bella? Do you want to know?”

Rosalie looked to Bella.”I would like to know but only if it’s ok with you.”

“I want to know.”Bella said.

“Then yes we would all like to know.”Athenodora was very excited to find out if she was going to have granddaughter or a grandson.

“Congratulations your highnesses you are having a baby girl.”Dr.Rena told them.

“A girl.”Rosalie couldn’t believe it. Her ultimate wish of having a daughter was coming true.

“We need to start going over names.”Sulpicia was already running through a list of proper names for a girl.

“I already picked out a name.”Bella had thought of both a boy and a girl’s name on the flight to Italy.

“You did?”Rosalie was somewhat hurt that Bella wasn’t going to let her have an input.

“I want to name her Lily Rose Volturi.”Bella smiled at the slack jawed look Rosalie was giving her.

“Lily Rose?”Rosalie whispered.

“I figured she be named after you so that she knew that you are just as much her parent as the one who gave birth to her.”Bella explained.

“Are you sure?”Rosalie wanted their little girl to have that name more than anything. She just didn’t want Bella to feel obligated.

“I’m positive. You’re the strongest woman I know Rose. It’s only right that our daughter be named after you.”Bella told her.

“I think it’s a beautiful name.”Didyme was extremely pleased that Bella was giving her child the last name Volturi. It was just more proof of Bella accepting the queens as her mothers.

“I agree.”Sulpicia thought the name was a fitting one. It would give Rosalie the reminder that the girl was her daughter no matter who the biological father was. She was also just as pleased as Didyme about Bella using Volturi as a last name. Sulpicia hoped that meant that her daughters would be willing to be presented to court so they could announce their place as the Volturi princesses.

“I love you so much.”Rosalie sobbed out as she leaned in and kissed Bella.

Bella kissed Rosalie back with as much passion as she could. Only pulling back when she needed to breathe.”I love you too.”

“You make me so happy.”Even though they had many things to settle with the Cullens Rosalie had never felt happier in her life. Not even when she was human.

“You give me hope.”Bella had initially dreaded having to raise the child on her own. It was only after seeing Rosalie in the airport that the feeling had changed to excitement at the thought of raising the baby with Rosalie.

“Would any of you like me to print out a picture of the baby?”Dr.Rena asked.

“We would like at least a dozen copies please.”Didyme was probably going to make more later. She had plans to put the picture in every room of the castle so she could see it no matter where she was.

“Other than that how is the baby?”Athenodora asked.

“From everything I see on the monitor things are progressing perfectly. As soon as I finish printing the pictures I will run the test on the blood. From the size of the baby I think you may have another week and a half to two weeks before we have to start the IVs of blood.”Dr.Rena told them.

“I’m going to leave a guard with you so when you finish they can bring you to us right away. That way we don’t have to wait for the results.”Sulpicia wanted to know as soon as Dr.Rena was finished with the tests.

“I will work as quickly as possible.”Dr.Rena said.

“You can bring the pictures with you then as well. I want to get Bella settled back in her and Rosalie’s rooms so she can relax.”Sulpicia could also keep her daughters safer if they were in the royal wing of the castle. It gave the queen extreme anxiety having them in such an exposed part of the castle.

“That’s a good idea because Lily has moved around and is now putting pressure on my bladder and I need to pee.”Bella had been holding it waiting for the exam to be done.

“Let’s get moving then.”Rosalie picked Bella up off the bed and cradled her in her arms.

“Rose I can walk.”Bella huffed.

“I’m sure you can and after you are turned you will have many chances to prove that. Until then I will be carrying you everywhere to keep you and Lily safe.”It gave Rosalie a thrill to say their daughter’s name.

“I’m not going to change your mind on this am I?”Bella asked.

Rosalie kissed Bella on the forehead as she made her way out of the room being careful not to jostle the human too much.”No you are not.”

“You are so lucky I love you.”Bella said.

“I know.”Rosalie did know she was lucky. Not only had she found her true mate but her mate was giving her a child. A child named after Rosalie herself. Never in her life had Rosalie ever thought that she would be in a relationship with a women who was pregnant and planning to raise baby with her and not the father. Not that Rosalie cared about Edward being the father of Lily. It was only thing the man child ever did right in her eyes. Edward a huge homophobe who never hid his hatred of Rosalie was claiming a false mate bond with Bella the mother of his child. The fact that Bella was actually Rosalie’s mate and the pair of them were planing on raising Edward’s child without him was the best revenge she could get on the mind reader. Rosalie found the whole situation very satisfying and couldn’t wait to rub it in Edward’s face. Then she was going to kill him. Emmett as well. Both of them did horrible things to Rosalie and Bella and Rosalie was going to make sure that they suffered for it. She would have to brainstorm with Bella about it later. Now she wanted to get Bella to the bathroom, get her a snack, then set her up on the couch where Rosalie was going to give her a foot rub. She figured Bella’s feet were a good place to try a test run before she offered to give Bella a full body massage. Rosalie held back a shiver thinking about touching Bella’s body. She desperately wanted to make love to her mate but knew she couldn’t until Bella was changed. It wouldn’t be safe before then and Rosalie wouldn’t never do anything to jeopardize Bella’s safety.
