Bonded Through The Realms 19
Added 2024-01-24 13:15:10 +0000 UTC“Here goes nothing.”Rosalie mumbled to herself. After spending time in her garage Rosalie had come up with a plan to get Isabella to talk to her. She was simply going to knock on Isabella’s door and ask if she would spend time with her. It wasn’t the greatest plan but it’s all Rosalie could come up with. Breaking and entering were considered but quickly dismissed as options when Rosalie thought about what would happen if she tried to force her presence on Isabella. That wasn’t going to work. That’s what led to Rosalie standing outside Isabella’s front door trying to find the courage to knock. It wasn’t that she was scared. She was just afraid that her mate would refuse to see her and didn’t want to have to deal with the feelings that would come from the rejection. Fixing her shirt and running a hand through her hair Rosalie lifted her hand but before she could knock the door opened revealing an amused Isabella.
“I thought you were going to stand out here all day before you finally worked up the nerve to knock.”Isabella had been alerted to Rosalie’s presence as soon as Rosalie came though the forest next to her home. From there she had seen Rosalie on the security cameras seeming to talk herself into actually knocking.
“Well..I..it’s just”Rosalie stuttered out as the prepared greeting she practiced was thrown in the trash at the sudden appearance of her mate.
“It’s just what?”Isabella asked.
Rosalie took a deep breath to try to get some of her control back.”I was just coming over to see if you wanted to hang out.”
“You want to hang out?”Isabella was surprised that Rosalie was asking and wasn’t just forcing her way in the house to demand answers.
“I feel like we have gotten off on the wrong foot. I would like the chance to get to know you better.”Rosalie told her.
Isabella considered for a moment before stepping aside and making room for Rosalie to enter.”I can spare an hour or two.”
“Thank you.”Rosalie was doing an internal fist pump. Isabella had invited her in. The hard part was over. Now she just had to play it cool and not piss the girl off enough that Isabella kicked her out.
“Sure let’s go in the living room. Charlie isn’t home so it will be quiet.”Isabella led Rosalie to the living room and motioned to the couch.”Take a seat. I would offer you something to eat or drink but Charlie hasn’t gone hunting recently so I’m fresh out of animal blood.”
“Why do you call him Charlie? Shouldn’t you call him dad?”Rosalie frowned when instead of sitting on the couch with her Isabella took a seat in the worn out recliner.
“Charlie isn’t my real father. He may have acted as father growing up but he isn’t one of my real parents.”Isabella wasn’t going to mention that she only truly had one biological parent as her mother had conceived her and her sisters magically.
“Who are your real parents then?”Rosalie asked.
“I’d rather not speak about that topic.”Isabella said.
Rosalie held back a scowl. She had feeling that knowing about Isabella’s parents would let her figure out what type of supernatural Isabella was.”Alright.”
“How long have you been a vampire?”Isabella was curious of how long Rosalie had been amongst the undead.
“I was turned into a vampire in 1933.”Rosalie told her.
Isabella tried to the math in her head.”You are really old aren’t you?”
“Not that old. I was only eighteen when I was turned.”Rosalie was uncomfortable talking about her age. She didn’t like thinking about how much older than she was compared to her mate.
“That’s still kind of old. One my best friends is a vampire and she was turned when she was thirteen.”Isabella thought that Jane was turned to young but it wasn’t any of her business when her sire chose to change her. The only thing that upset the vampire was that she was over thousand years old with the mind of an adult stuck a thirteen year old’s body.
“It’s against the law to turn a human that young.”Rosalie only knew of two vampires that were allowed to live that were that young.
“I doubt her sire will get in trouble.”Isabella doubted that Aro would be punished for it.
“Are they in hiding?”Rosalie couldn’t think of another reason why the Volturi hadn’t come for the sire and destroyed the teenager.
“No, they live very openly.”Isabella told her.
That confused Rosalie even more.”Who are they?”
“My friend’s name is Jane but I think you would probably know her by her and twin brother’s nickname the Witch Twins.”Isabella smiled at the look of shock that came to Rosalie’s face.
“You know one of the Witch Twins?!”Rosalie didn’t know if she believed that. There was no way the sadistic vampire was friends with a human. Especially one as frustrating as Isabella was.
“I know both of them but I am closer to Jane. We became friends after I helped her with a problem the Volturi were having with a coven of vampires in Russia.”Isabella had stumbled into the problem but it worked out well in the end.
“Wait you helped the Volturi take care of a coven of vampires?”When Isabella nodded Rosalie was even more flabbergasted.”Who are you?”
“I think we have already gone over that. I’m Isabella Swan.”Isabella found Rosalie’s reaction very humorous. It made her want to tell the vampire things just to see how she would respond.
Rosalie growled lowly.”That isn’t what I meant.”
“It is exactly what you asked though.”Isabella replied exactly how she did last time Rosalie asked her that.
“Are you ever going to tell me what you are?”Rosalie wanted to know even more now than she had before. The fact that Isabella had helped the Volturi and was friends with Jane meant that the non human was very powerful.
“You haven’t proven yourself trustworthy enough to know anything like that.”Isabella said.
“I am very trustworthy.”Rosalie was insulted Bella thought otherwise.
“If I told you my background you would would waste no time telling your family about it. That isn’t even considering the mind reader would take the information from you.”Isabella would bet a lot of money that Rosalie would text to her family before they even finished their visit.
Rosalie hated that Isabella was right. Not only would she tell her family but Edward could take from her.”I think my family has a right to know.”
“No they don’t and neither do you.”Isabella’s secret belonged to no-one but herself.
“You know about us. It’s only fair know to about you. You could be very dangerous and they need to know how to protect themselves.”Rosalie fully believed that her family needed to know. That way they could defend themselves if needed.
”Oh I am very dangerous. Especially to vampires.”Isabella let some of her magic seep out.
Rosalie watched Isabella’s whole demeanor change and had fight the urge to flee when she felt overwhelming terror flood though her body. When Isabella’s eyes turned a bright glowing purple Rosalie wasn’t sure what to think.”Are you going to hurt me?”
“You haven’t given me a reason to yet.”Isabella reeled in her magic and locked it within her body. She smiled when Rosalie’s posture relaxed. The vampire still looked like she was going to bolt out of the room but didn’t seem to be on the verge of passing out anymore.
Rosalie sighed in relief. She didn’t think her mate would hurt her but it was nice hearing it.”Thank god.”
“You worry about things too much. You should accept that you’re not meant to know certain things and move on. It’s not good for your health to dwell on things you can’t control.”Isabella told her.
“I think I am meant to know what you are.”Rosalie was trying to hold in her frustration but it was hard when Isabella was refusing to tell her what kind of supernatural she was.
“Here’s the thing Rosalie. If I told you what I am and my origins you would never believe me. Even with a demonstration you would think I’m insane.”Isabella held up a hand to stop Rosalie’s reply.”You can promise you won’t but I have learned throughout my short life that sometimes the truth is so outrageous that no one will actually believe it.”
“I would believe you.”It didn’t matter how crazy it sounded Rosalie would always believe her mate.
Isabella smiled sadly.”I know you think you would.”
“No I would.”Rosalie would believe anything Isabella said.
“I guess we’ll never know.”Isabella had a feeling that Rosalie really might actually believe her. Not that Isabella would tell her.
“If this is about my family I promise I won’t tell them unless you are an extreme threat to them and if you are worried about Edward you can give me the same block you gave Charlie. Then he wouldn’t be able to get the information from me without me giving it to him.”Rosalie would prefer having the block even if Isabella never told her anything.
“You would really trust me to give you the block?”Isabella asked.
”You may frustrate me but I do trust you. I know you wouldn’t hurt me on purpose.”Rosalie knew that Isabella was powerful but had a feeling that she didn’t use that power without reason. If she did then Edward would have something worse happen to him than just being covered in ink.
Isabella hated that Rosalie was right. For some reason hurting Rosalie was something she didn’t want to do. Yes she had manhandled Rosalie but that was in response to Rosalie manhandling her. Isabella had a weird fondness for the vampire and she found herself comfortable around her. It was that fondness that had her making the offer.”I can give you the block but it will make you immune to all other mental gifts not just Edward. That means that Alice won’t be able to see your future anymore.”
“I hate that Alice can see my future and Jasper can feel and control my emotions. I would be more than happy to be able to stop them from doing either anymore.”Rosalie just wanted her privacy. Something that she had lacked since she was turned into a vampire.
“Alright. If you’re sure.”Isabella said.
“I’m sure.”Rosalie was now very excited. She was going to finally be able to live her life without the constant judgment of her family.”So how do we do this?”
“Close your eyes and count backwards from ten.”Isabella instructed.
“Alright.”Rosalie closed her eyes and started counting.
Isabella gathered her magic and with her will alone created a barrier around Rosalie’s mind.”Done.”
“That was it?”Rosalie had only made it to 6 and hadn’t felt anything.
“That was it.”Isabella confirmed.
“I thought I would have felt something.”Rosalie was expecting it to be painful.
“I was just putting a block around your mind. If I was actually altering your brain you would have felt it.”Isabella explained.
“I guess that makes sense.”Rosalie didn’t quite understand but wasn’t going to push. Especially after Isabella had just given her a priceless gift.
“Speaking of the reason for putting a block around your mind. Any news about the mind reader?”Isabella asked.
“My brother Emmett and his mate Wendy called and told us that they had to take his legs again. He refuses to listen to reason and is dead set on getting back to Forks to see you.”Rosalie wasn’t that worried about Edward being able to hurt Isabella. After the girl’s display of power and knowing she impressed the Volturi enough to befriend Jane Rosalie doubted Edward could actually do anything to the non human.
“I wonder if I’m his singer.”Isabella couldn’t think of any other reason Edward would be obsessed with her. The only thing that was making her discard the idea was if she was he would have tried to kill her not think she was his mate.
“What’s a singer?”Rosalie had never heard the phrase before.
“You’re a vampire and you don’t know what a singer is?”Isabella thought singers were common knowledge.
Rosalie shook her head.”No one has ever mentioned a singer to me.”
“A singer is a person that’s blood appeals to a vampire on a higher level than all other human blood. They call it a singer because it is said the blood of a singer is so potent that it literally sings to the vampire in questions. It is like the ultimate drug and most vampires drain their singers as soon as they catch their scent.”Isabella told her.
“Do all vampires have singers?”Rosalie wondered why Carlisle never explained this to the family.
“Probably but they aren’t commonly found. The only thing that is holding me back from fully believing that I’m Edward’s is he didn’t try to kill me. He waited three nights before trying to break in. If I was his singer he would have been overwhelmed with the smell of my blood and would have done anything to taste it.”Isabella would have thought Edward wouldn’t have waited until she was sleeping either.
“Actually that would make sense. When Edward told us he thought you were his mate Jasper said it wasn’t true because Edward’s feelings weren’t those of a mated vampire. He was feeling possessive of you not protective. Jasper claimed the love Edward thought he felt was obsession.”Rosalie firmly believed that Isabella was Edward’s singer. That meant Edward was more dangerous than they thought. It also meant that even though Isabella could protect herself Rosalie was going to have to be more diligent to make sure she was able to help keep her mate safe.
“It’s admirable that he can control himself.”Isabella was impressed that the boy had any kind of control faced with the smell of her blood.
“I kind of wish he couldn’t.”Seeing Isabella’s confusion Rosalie explained.”If he attacked you I would have a justified reason to kill him.”
”You don’t like your coven mate do you?”Isabella had gleamed from the way she talked about them that Rosalie wasn’t that happy with the coven she belonged to.
“I don’t like most of them. Then again I wasn’t given a chose to join them. Carlisle is my sire and he turned me without asking my consent to be Edward’s companion until he found his mate. I have resented him for not letting me die that night ever since I woke up.”Rosalie still held that resentment but was now happy she became a vampire. She wouldn’t have found her mate otherwise and once she convinced Isabella to trust her they could begin their lives together.
“That seems rather selfish.”Isabella would have resented being turned against your will to be someone’s girlfriend as well.
“Carlisle is a very selfish person. He will do anything to project the illusion of being the perfect family man. His mate is a house wife who bakes cookies for his coworkers and patients. He plays the role of selfless father that adopted a bunch of down on their luck children. Then there is the fact that he makes us go to high school over and over again just so we can stay in a town longer. That way he can fulfill his dream of being a doctor. With us never aging it would look suspicious if it was just him and Esme. By having us go to school it makes people think since we change grades we are getting older.”Rosalie hated every minute of it.
“Why do you stay with him if you are treated so badly?”Isabella asked.
“I really don’t have anywhere else to go. Plus I don’t have the resources. Since we are taking on the identity of teenagers it’s hard to set up a bank account and deal with investments.”Rosalie had thought about it many times and even considered joining the Denali but didn’t want to be that isolated from society.
“You really are out of touch with the world aren’t you?”Isabella had assumed Rosalie was somewhat sheltered as she had such a low opinion of human blood drinkers but hearing everything the blond had told her made Isabella realize that Rosalie was completely clueless on how to live life as a vampire.
“I’m not out of touch with the world.”Rosalie was somewhat offended Isabella would say otherwise.
“Rosalie I don’t know what your sire’s game is but he has you so out of touch with what it means to be a vampire that you think you can’t live on your own because you look like a teenager. That and the way you seem to have no understanding on basic things like blood drinkers and singers is more than enough proof that you don’t know how to be a vampire living in the modern world.”Isabella said.
“What do you mean Carlisle’s game?”Rosalie wasn’t sure what Isabella was trying to say.
“It’s more than obvious that he is keeping you guys reliant on him. From what you said it was so that you could play your roles in his perfect family image. Is he the reason you drink animal blood?”Isabella asked.
Rosalie nodded.”He was the one who introduced the whole coven to the more humane way of feeding. None of us want to be killers and taking innocent lives to have to live.”
“That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.”Isabella said.
“It isn’t stupid. It’s morally superior to blood drinkers who just kill for pleasure.”Rosalie was a firm believer in the animal diet.
“What do you know about the effects of animal blood on a vampire’s body?”Isabella figured Rosalie knew nothing about it. If she did she wouldn’t keep the diet.
“It’s no different than drinking from humans.”Rosalie knew that there was no differences between drinking from animals than humans.
“Who told you that?”Isabella asked.
“Carlisle told us but the Denali Coven also live like we do.”Rosalie told her.
“Who told the Denali about the diet?”Isabella could already guess it was Carlisle.
“Carlisle told them about it centuries ago.”Rosalie said confirming Isabella’s suspicion.
“Where did Carlisle get the information?”Isabella knew that he didn’t have any proof to back up the claim.
“He got it from living for centuries not ever drinking from humans.”Rosalie felt a bit of unease with every one of Isabella’s questions answered.
“So a man who has never drank from humans before and keeps you all under his control makes you drink from animals because it’s not only the more humane way of feeding but it allows you to stay in one place and blend in with humans is your source. Oh and let’s not forget blend in with humans so that you can go to high school over and over again so he can fulfill his dream of being a doctor. That’s the person you rely on to guide your feeding habits and dictate how you live you life?”Isabella was happy that Rosalie seemed to be thinking about what she said not just lashing out in defense of her lifestyle.
Rosalie hated that Isabella was making some really good points. Not only was Carlisle the one to teach them about the animal diet, he kept them away from human blood drinkers. As a matter of fact he kept them from all other vampires except for the Denali. Another animal drinking coven. Isabella was right when she said the man dictated their lives. He decide how much money they were allowed to spend, where they traveled to, who they traveled with, where they should move to and if they would be allowed to go to high school or college. None of them were allowed to get jobs like he did. They had to go to school.”Why would he do that to us?”
“I don’t know but he is not only handicapping you to the point you can’t leave, he is allowing you to poison your bodies.”Isabella said.
“What do you mean poisoning our bodies?”Rosalie was sure she wasn’t going to like what Isabella was about to tell her.
“Animal blood weakens your body. It makes you less strong, fast and tough than a human blood drinker. Not only that it dulls all your senses. Your sight isn’t as sharp, you can’t hear as good, your nerve endings aren’t as sensitive. Meaning when you touch something you don’t feel it as you normally would. Things wouldn’t feel as cold or hot. You wouldn’t feel the texture of materials as keenly. Hell even your taste buds are dulled. It gets worse the longer you stay on the diet.”Isabella explained.
“I’ve never felt any different and I have only drank from animals.”Rosalie didn’t think that she had gotten any weaker as the years had passed.
“Have you ever tested yourself?”Isabella was positive Rosalie hadn’t.
“Well no but I think I would have noticed.”Rosalie was sure she could tell if her body changed.
“It acts slowly. From what you have said Carlisle is centuries older than the rest of you. Think about how he compares to each of the members of your coven. He should have superior abilities than all of you. Unless one of you was gifted of course. My point is that as vampires age they become stronger. That being the case Carlisle should be able to overpower any one of you easily.”Isabella doubted that Carlisle could overpower even Alice.
“Vampires get stronger with age?”Rosalie hadn’t been told that.
”Rosalie I worry for you. Your sire has kept very important information from you and has an iron control on your life. Do you want me to help you break free of him?”Isabella offered.
Rosalie wasn’t sure exactly what to do. If Isabella was to be believed and Rosalie thought she was then Rosalie was in a very bad situation. So were her bothers and sisters. Not that Rosalie felt she owed them anything. They were together because they were forced to be. Rosalie would not have chosen to become part of the family. That didn’t mean she didn’t want to tell them what was going on. They deserved to know the truth. The problem was what to do with the knowledge.”I don’t know what to do.”
“I’m not trying to push you to do anything. Hell maybe your life works for you. I just thought you should know that your sire was lying to you.”Isabella said.
“No my life doesn’t work for me. I just didn’t think there was any other options.”Rosalie had thought she was stuck. Now learning there was a way out gave her a spark of hope. Maybe she would finally get her independence. She already got her privacy with Isabella’s block. It was a little scary considering breaking off from her coven but it was also somewhat exciting.
“You have tons of options.”Isabella told her.
“And you would help me?”Rosalie wanted to make sure she had Isabella’s support. She hoped that Isabella helping her would bring the pair closer and Rosalie would be able to reveal the mate bond.
“If that’s what you want. I will help you.”Isabella would never leave anyone in Rosalie’s situation without giving them some kind of help.
“Do you have time to go through some of those options?”Rosalie asked.
Isabella did have things to do but nothing that couldn’t wait.”I do.”
“Good then maybe you could start with telling me how I would be able to get some new documents. I don’t think Carlisle will be willing to let me use his contact.”Rosalie was positive Carlisle wouldn’t let her get in contact with the man who made their fake identities. Learning forward on the couch Rosalie listened as Isabella began telling her about a friend she had that made ones for her. Rosalie wanted to ask why Isabella needed a fake identity but held off. There would be time for questions later. Now she needed to come up with a set plan to break away from the Cullens without anyone finding out. Luckily with the block on her mind no one would be able to find out what she was doing. That was good because then they wouldn’t be able to stop her. Learning all that she did from Isabella did make her wonder what Alice and Jasper’s role in all this was. Initially she thought they were just as sheltered as she was but that wasn’t right. Those two hadn’t always been with the Cullens. They knew how to live in the world without Carlisle’s guidance. Why did they go along with everything? The pair had to have their own agenda. What that was Rosalie wasn’t sure but she was going to careful around both of them. If things turned out like she wanted Rosalie would be free of the Cullens and living with her mate. How to convince Isabella to let her share a room she wasn’t sure but she would figure it out.

Im loving this! I wonder what the cullens are up to. Hopefully those being forced to rely on them figure out how to leave. I wonder if they'll tell the denali's that the cullens have made them weaker with their diet
