The Guardian's Angel 3

Rosalie finished draining a large buck and dropped the dead body to the forest floor. She didn’t feel like going home right away so she made her way over to a tree and slumped down in front of it letting her back lay against the bark. The day had been uneventful and although she had faked it pretty well she hadn’t been able to shake off her earlier melancholy. Her mate had known she was feeling down but didn’t push which Rosalie was thankful for. She felt guilty for having such thoughts in the first place and there was no way she was going to tell Tanya about feeling unfulfilled with the life they had together. It would be the ultimate insult to her mate, knowing she wasn’t enough to make Rosalie happy.

“I have felt your sadness constantly for days now and I hope I can give you some reprieve from it.” A female voice said from behind Rosalie.

Rosalie jumped up and turned to face where the sound of the voice came from. She knew that voice and as she looked upon the angel for the second time in her life she ran forward and threw herself into the woman’s arms. “Why are you here?”

Bella ran her hands up and down Rosalie’s back in a soothing motion. “I made you a promise and I’m here to keep it.”

“What do you mean?” Rosalie released the angel. She felt embarrassed with the way she had acted but the soft smile she received put her at ease.

“When I met you so long ago I promised that everything would be worth it. That even though your human life was ending your dreams would come true.” Bella told her.

“I still don’t understand.” Rosalie felt a little spark of hope that she tried to hold back.

“Rosalie I know you have always wanted to be a mother. I am here to make that happen.” Bella smiled as Rosalie once again collapsed into her arms. She held the blond at she sobbed tearlessly. Offering soothing words to calm her down.

Rosalie had to clear her throat twice before she got the words out. “You really mean it. I’m going to be able to be a mother?”

“Yes.” Bella gave her one last squeeze and released Rosalie. “I have been granted permission to allow you to carry a child made of both you and your mate in your own body.”

“I can’t believe this!!” Rosalie was now beyond excited. “I need to tell Tanya. Can you come with me?”

Bella nodded. “Of course I can come with you. I have been wanting to meet Tanya in person for a very long time.”

“Great she’s back at the house. The rest of our family is there as well will that be ok?” Rosalie didn’t know if the angel was allowed to reveal herself to anyone other than her and Tanya.

“That would be fine.” Bella held her hand for Rosalie to take and within the blink of an eye they were standing in front of the large home that the Denali and Cullen covens shared.

Rosalie leaned on the angel for a second to gain her balance. “Whoah that was different.”

“I’m sorry I should have warned you. I don’t usually take mortals with me when I travel like that.” Bella would have to remember that the next time. If there was a next time.

“That’s ok a warning next time would be nice.” Rosalie took a couple deep breaths and when she felt her body go back to normal she called out. “Tanya come here I have someone for you to meet.”

Tanya rushed out of the house once she heard her mate’s voice. She had been worried about Rosalie all day and when she went off hunting by herself Tanya had to force herself to stay in the house and not follow her. Not knowing who Rosalie had met up with Tanya was curious to know what Rosalie had been up to. What she found when she came out of the house wasn’t what she expected though. Standing next to Rosalie was a tall woman with white translucent hair and blue eyes that seemed to shine wearing white robes. The woman’s looks alone would have been enough to make Tanya stop but it was the white and silver wings that the woman had that made Tanya lose all thought.

“What the hell?” Kate said when she came out after Tanya. She wasn’t sure what was going on but the woman with the wings was definitely not something she ever expected to see.

“Who are you?” Carlisle asked in awe. The woman standing next to Rosalie was shining brightly as if illuminated by her own sun.

“Everyone this is….” Rosalie just realized that she didn’t know the angel’s name.

“Bella.” Bella gave a wave to the group of vampires.

Tanya was jerked out of her shock when she heard the woman’s voice. The sound was beautiful and Tanya felt herself relax involuntarily as she listened. “Hello. May I ask what is going on?”

“Let’s go inside and I will give you all an explanation.” Rosalie figured that she should tell everyone her history with Bella before they spoke of why the angel was there.

“Of course. Welcome to our home Bella.” Carlisle couldn’t take his eyes off of Bella. He was afraid if he blinked she would disappear.

“Where is everyone else?” Rosalie asked only noticing Tanya, Kate, Carlisle, Esme and Alice in the house.

“Emmett and Jasper went to the mall to get some new video game. Edward is with his mate and Carmen, Irina and Eleazar went hunting.” Alice told her. She was very excited to find out who this Bella woman was because it seemed like Rosalie knew her and Rosalie had never mentioned her before.

“Bella would you like me to get you a stool to sit on?” Esme offered.

“No that’s alright I would prefer standing.” Bella could have retracted her wings but it was somewhat uncomfortable and she honestly didn’t mind standing.

“So Rosalie how do you know Bella?” Tanya asked.

“I think I should start at the beginning.” Rosalie stood next to Bella holding Tanya’s hand while she waited for the rest of the group to settle on their seats. “I met Bella the night I was turned into a vampire.”

“Why have you not mentioned her before then?” Carlisle asked.

“I didn’t feel like it was my place to speak of her.” Rosalie said. “When I was laying on the ground beaten and bloody Bella came to me and told me that she was an angel and that my life wasn’t meant to end that night.”

“So you are an angel?” Carlisle had hoped Bella was but having it confirmed was mind blowing.

Bella nodded. “I am, I am actually Rosalie’s guardian angel.”

“Does everyone have a guardian angel?” Alice asked.

“Most do however how involved the angel is is up to their discretion.” Bella didn’t add that she usually got way to involved with her charges.

“So get back to the story. You said that Bella came to you that night. Then what happened?” Tanya felt that Bella visiting Rosalie on the night of her change wasn’t the whole story.

“That night she promised that if I was patient that everything I had gone through would be worth it.” Rosalie smiled at Tanya and squeezed her hand. “She was right of course.”

Tanya smiled back liking the way Rosalie had seemed more relaxed since Bella had shown up. In a way she thought she should be jealous but she wasn’t. Tanya knew Rosalie was devoted to her. If Bella made Rosalie this happy then Tanya would welcome the angel into their home happily. “So that was the only time you guys met?”

“In person yes. I have felt Bella’s presence many time over the years though.” Rosalie told them.

“What has you revealing yourself now?” Carlisle asked. He had hundreds of questions for the angel but felt that finding out why she was here was the most important one.

“Rosalie’s ultimate desire.” Bella said. Seeing the confused expressions on the vampire’s faces she explained. “Rosalie had asked if I could help her have a baby. I went to my mother for permission and was granted it with the deal that I stay with her and Tanya and help them throughout the pregnancy and watched over not only both of them but the baby as well.”

“We can have a baby?” Tanya wasn’t sure she believed Bella. She had given up her hope of having a child when she was human. She wasn’t sure how she felt about having the chance to have one now.

“Yes, I am allowed to help you conceive a baby that would be of both of your bodies.” Bella smiled at the happiness Rosalie was showing.

Rosalie pulled Tanya into a hug.“I just found out we could so I didn’t get a chance to ask you.”

“The answer is obviously yes. Of course I want to have a baby with you.” Tanya held Rosalie tightly as she felt herself overcome with sobs.

“Are you ok?” Rosalie asked just as emotional as her mate.

“Happy tears.” Tanya promised.

“This is so exciting!!” Alice squealed. “You are going to have a baby!!”

“I can’t wait to teach the little one how to fight.” Kate was excited to be an aunt. She would be able to teach the kid so much fun stuff.

“We need to set up a nursery.” Esme was already planning on where in the house they would put it. “We may need to add an extension to the house.”

“I can’t wait to tell Jasper.” Alice was already on the phone texting her mate.

“Emmett is going to be excited too.” Kate knew her mate was going to be just as happy about being able to be an uncle as she was about being an aunt.

“How exactly are you going to impregnate one of them?” As a man that studied medicine his whole life Carlisle wasn’t sure how Bella was going to be able to help the pair of female vampires conceive.

“That’s a private matter that will be needed to be discussed with Rosalie and Tanya.” Bella wasn’t going to put Rosalie’s private life out in the open for others to know about.

Rosalie catching on to what Bella was saying pulled on Tanya’s hand. “Why don’t the three of us go to our room and discuss this in private.”

“Of course.” Tanya couldn’t take her eyes off her mate. The fact that they were going to their room to discuss building their family was mind blowing.

“It was nice meeting you all.” Bella said as she trailed after Rosalie and Tanya.

“Will we see you again?” Carlisle desperately wanted to talk to the angel more. He was a deeply religious man and finding out angels actually existed made him have tons of questions about god.

Bella nodded. “I will be around to help with the baby. That was one of the conditions my mother had when she granted me permission to fulfill Rosalie’s wish.”

“You have a mother?” Esme asked in surprise. She didn’t know much about angels but she assumed they were beings of god and didn’t have a mother.

“Of course.” Bella said like it was no big deal she was disproving the Bible.

“Anyway we will be down in a while.” Rosalie said cutting off any further discussion. She knew if she didn’t her family would keep Bella there for hours asking question after question.

“See you.” Alice waited until she heard Tanya and Rosalie’s bedroom door close to address the rest of the room. “Can you guys believe this? Rosalie is going to actually get to become a mother.”

Esme searched herself to see how she felt about Rosalie getting a chance to have what she always wanted and even though it should have been there she felt no jealously towards the blonds. She was happy that she was going to be involved with raising the child and knew that Rosalie and Tanya would let everyone be a part of the child’s life. “I am so excited to be a grandmother.”

“We have so many things to do before the baby gets here.How long do you think the pregnancy will last?” Kate wasn’t sure if the baby would take the same amount of time to grow as a human baby did. “Actually do you think the baby will be human or a vampire?”

“I’m not sure. Bella said it would be of both Tanya and Rosalie’s body but that doesn’t mean it will be a vampire.” Carlisle wished Bella had told them more before she went off with Rosalie and Tanya.

“I guess the only thing we can do is wait until they tell us. Until then I’m going to make a list of things we will need for the baby.” Alice knew that everyone else would want to help as well but that didn’t mean she couldn’t get a head start. She wondered if they would be able to know whether it was going to be a boy or a girl. Bella was an angel surely she would be able to tell. Alice hoped for a girl she could dress up in cute dresses and outfits. A boy would be fine though because they made some cute suits that would fit babies and toddlers. In the end Alice decided that she didn’t care. All that mattered was that the family was getting a baby. Even though Rosalie and Tanya were officially the mothers Alice had no doubt both the Cullens and the Denali would be involved in raising them. Hopefully Rosalie wouldn’t mind.
