“What have you found?”Sulpicia asked Athenodora when her mate entered the library.She and Didyme were going over records of past battles with the children of the moon looking for any information on who may have survived.The whole situation was causing her extreme stress.Not only that but she was also worried.Worried for her subjects of course but mostly worried about her mates and her daughter.If the children of the moon were indeed back then Bella would most likely have to be involved in the fight.The girl would be essential in defeating them.It didn’t matter if Sulpicia wanted to keep her out of it with the way things happened during the first war they couldn’t win without Bella.

“Nothing good I assure you.”Athenodora took a seat next to Didyme on the love seat she was sitting on across the arm chair Sulpicia was occupying.

“Did Isabella help you?”Didyme asked.

“Not only did she help but a red eyed Rosalie helped as well.”Athenodora told her.

“Rosalie actually fed off a human?”Sulpicia was surprised to hear that.

”Her red eyes prove she did.”Athenodora confirmed.

“Maybe the girl isn’t a lost cause then.”Didyme said.

“Her asking to be a part of interrogating Carlisle because she wanted him to see her red eyes and know he doesn’t have control over her kind of proves that she is anything but a lost cause.”Athenodora had been impressed with Rosalie’s reasoning for confronting Carlisle.

“She asked that?”That surprised Sulpicia more than Rosalie drinking human blood.

Athenodora nodded.“She did.”

“I’m impressed.”Didyme hadn’t thought any vampire Carlisle sired would be so against him.

“Another thing of note is that both Isabella and Rosalie are sporting bite marks on their necks.”Athenodora told them.

“We knew that was going to happen if they fed together.”Sulpicia had actually expected the pair to not surface for a couple days.”They weren’t gone that long.”

“I mentioned that to Isabella.I also offered to give her lessons on how to please her mate.”Athenodora smiled thinking about Bella and Rosalie’s reaction to her comment.

“You shouldn’t embarrass her like that.”Didyme may of not wanted Bella mated but she wouldn’t stand for Athenodora picking on their daughter.

“I haven’t begun to embarrass her.The fact that she and her mate destroyed the couch in our feeding room is going to give me decades of teasing material.”Athenodora had already come up with a few things to say to the pair about it.

Didyme sighed.”I loved that couch.”

“We should be happy that’s all they broke.”Sulpicia was impressed that Bella and Rosalie didn’t destroy the whole room.Newly mated vampires were extremely passionate during their first coupling.

“I think we should remodel the castle to add a private feeding room for the two of them.”Didyme thought that would be the perfect way to show Bella that they supported her mate bond.

Athenodora rolled her eyes.”You spoil her.”

“This has nothing to do with spoiling her.Isabella is a newly mated vampire.It’s only natural for the pair to have their own space.”Didyme just wanted her daughter to be comfortable.

“I think it’s a good idea.However we will have to wait until this children of the moon situation is taken care of.”Sulpicia was more than happy to build a room for Bella but it wasn’t feasible to do right away.

“I wish there was no children of moon situation to deal with.”Didyme wasn’t pleased that they were dealing with werewolves.Once was enough.

“What have you found out?”Sulpicia asked Athenodora.

“With Rosalie and Isabella’s help we have learned that they that are trying to use vampire seamen to impregnate children of the moon.”Athenodora was unsurprised hearing both her mates growl.

“That idiot!!”Didyme wanted to say she couldn’t believe Carlisle could be so stupid but this was something he would do.

“Do you know their purpose for doing this?”Sulpicia wanted to know what Carlisle’s goal was in doing it.

“Myself, Isabella and Rosalie discussed it and the conclusion we came to is that they are trying to breed children of the moon and vampires together to make hybrids that have both specie’s abilities.We think the purpose is for them to form an army out of them to defeat the guard and overthrow us.”Athenodora explained.

“Carlisle dare think he can take our kingdom from us?”Didyme roared.She stood from her seat but before she could make it to the door Athenodora wrapped her arms around her and pulled Didyme to sit on her lap.”Let me go!!”

“I’m sorry my love but if I do then you are going to go kill Carlisle and Edward and that can’t happen until we get the information we need from them.”Athenodora was of the same thought.She wanted to kill Carlisle for his transgressions but they needed to question him first.

“Let’s get him right now and you can read him.”Didyme suggested.

“Let’s calm down first.”Sulpicia wanted him dead as well but didn’t want to be impulsive.It would lead to them making mistakes.

“Besides you promised Isabella that she could be part of the interrogation.If Sulpicia reads him then she won’t get the opportunity to question him.”Athenodora reminded her.

Didyme slumped in Athenodora’s arms.”She would be very upset if she didn’t get her chance wouldn’t she.”

“Yes she would.Now did you find out about anyone other than Carlisle and Edward being involved?”Sulpicia asked.

“No but it’s obvious they weren’t the masterminds.”Athenodora said.

“Neither of those morons are smart enough to walk and talk as the same time.There is no way they came up with the idea for hybrids.”Didyme scoffed at the very idea that Carlisle and Edward would be in charge of everything.

“I think the only reason they were even involved was because of Carlisle’s known hatred of us and his medical degree.”Athenodora said.

“Well we know that children of the moon are involved but how is the real question.”Sulpicia wasn’t sure how they went unnoticed this whole time.

“Isabella thought that a few of them might have survived the war and were just biding their time until they got some allies.This hybrid thing being their first move in creating an army.”Athenodora told them.

“Our daughter has wonderful instincts.”Didyme was very proud of Isabella’s thought process.

“She has made great progress from when she first came to us.”Athenodora agreed.

“Getting her out of the mind set that she had to kill anyone who disagreed with her was the first big step in that progress.”When Bella had first come to the castle Sulpicia and the other two queens had to intervene many times to settle disputes between Bella and the castle’s occupants.Bella didn’t react well to being challenged whether it was verbally or physically and never hesitated to take the head off the challenger.

“I really wish we could have tortured Margret before we killed her.”Didyme grumbled.

“You know that Isabella wouldn’t have reacted well to that.Even after all these decades she still has mixed feelings for the woman.”Athenodora said.

“I know but it would have been nice to be able to inflict pain on the woman who brainwashed our daughter into thinking that she was the only one who would ever care about her.”Didyme hated that some part of Bella still cared for the woman.She understood it she just didn’t like it.

“There is nothing to be done about it now.Isabella will always feel some fondness for the woman.It doesn’t matter what we do or don’t do.That’s just how it is.Do I wish otherwise?”Sulpicia nodded.”Yes I do but the only thing we can do is keep reminding her that we love her.”

“Maybe Rosalie will help her get proper closure for Margret.”Bella never spoke to the queens about Margret but Athenodora knew that Bella needed to talk to someone to help her move on.

“Do you think she actually told Rosalie about it?”Didyme asked.

“Of course.Isabella probably told her the first time they were alone and if not then when Rosalie saw her scars.”Sulpicia had no doubt that Bella explained her origins to Rosalie.

Didyme’s eyes filled with tears thinking about Bella’s scars.”Even though it doesn’t seem to affect her I hate that Isabella had to live through those moments.I love our daughter but I would trade our bond for her to have had the chance to be changed under better circumstances.”

“I’m just happy she doesn’t remember it happening.”Athenodora said.

“That’s probably the only positive about Isabella’s turning.”Sulpicia was of the same thought as Didyme.She would trade their bond for Bella to have a better start in life.

“There is nothing we can about it now though.”No matter how much Didyme wished she could.

“True, now we must focus on Carlisle, Edward and Esme.”Athenodora said getting back on topic.

“Yes we do.”Sulpicia agreed.

“What do you think Esme’s role in this is?”Didyme asked.

“We have always believed that Esme just plays the part of innocent homemaker.In reality she is likely to be just as involved as the other two.I mean Carlisle is her mate.Even if he never told her she would have smelt the children of the moon on him.I could smell it on Isabella and Rosalie and they had only been exposed to the smell.”Athenodora thought Esme was an equal partner in this.

“I can even smell traces of it on you.”Didyme had smelt the scent as soon as Athenodora pulled her on her lap.

“That means there is no way that Esme didn’t know or suspect something.She may have not been exposed to the beast before but the smell would definitely peak her interest.”Sulpicia knew that Esme would bring it up to her mate if she suspected something.

“It doesn’t matter how involved she was or not she was already sentenced to die.”Athenodora said.

“That may be true but her transgressions will decide whether that will happen quickly or slow and painfully.”Didyme was hoping it would slow and painful.The trio in the dungeon were the reason her daughter had been put in danger fighting the newborns.They deserved pain.

“I think we should gather Isabella and Rosalie and start our interrogation.That would give us some kind of direction to look in while Isabella and Rosalie finish going over all the files.”Sulpicia suggested.

Athenodora pulled out her phone.“I’ll text Isabella and have them meet us in the dungeon.”

“That’s another thing we need to address.Rosalie will need to be given a secure phone.We probably also have to help her set up her own accounts for banking and things like that.”Didyme doubted Carlisle allowed his coven members much freedom.That meant that Rosalie would need help in gaining her independence.

“I’ll talk to Heidi when we are done with the prisoners.She can deal with all that.”Sulpicia said.

“Now let’s get going.I was promised to be allowed to use force to make the trio give us answers and I want to start before you change your mind.”Athenodora lifted Didyme off her lap and set on the ground.

“You’ll get your chance darling.”Sulpicia promised.The queen was looking forward to watching her mate take charge of the questioning.Athenodora was her most magnificent when she was assertive and dominated her opponents and nothing made Sulpicia hotter than seeing Athenodora in all her glory. That was the only reason she allowed Athenodora to use force.It was much easier for Sulpicia to read them with her gift but if she did she would miss out on the pleasure of watching her mate in a role that fueled many of Sulpicia’s fantasies.Thinking of what she was going to do to Athenodora when they were done Sulpicia pulled out her own phone.She needed to make sure their feeding room was clean when they finished.If it wasn’t Didyme would fret and not be willing to get naked until was.Sulpicia didn’t want that to happen because she knew that once they were done with the trio she was going to be worked up enough that she wouldn’t care if they had sex in front of an audience.If it weren’t for the fact that Didyme was to shy to do it and that it would mostly scar her daughter for life she wouldn’t wait at all.With Athenodora as a mate she didn’t anyone could blame her.
