My Own Worst Enemy 10

“Rosalie I’m so sorry.Please forgive me.”Rosalie stumbled backwards when after hearing Bella’s plea a body slammed into her own.She started to fight against the hold the other vampire had on her until she caught their scent.Once she realized it was Bella she relaxed and put her arms around her mate.She wasn’t sure exactly what was going on but she wasn’t going to object to holding her mate in her arms.Rosalie had expected to be met with the same disproval and hatred that Bella had shown in the throne room not apologizes and requests for forgiveness.It made her wonder what she had done to deserve this greeting.

“Why would I need to forgive you?It’s me who was in the wrong.”Rosalie said.

“It wasn’t your fault.”Bella told her.

“What do you mean?”Rosalie really didn’t understand what was going on.

“Bella love why don’t you come sit on the couch and we can discuss everything with Rosalie.”Tanya suggested.

Bella reluctantly pulled out of the hug.“Is that ok with you?”

“It’s fine.”Rosalie took Bella’s hand in her own and followed her to the couch where she took a seat right beside Bella.The Denali sisters and the three queens all were sitting on it as well.She was pleased when Bella didn’t release her hand.”Can you guys tell me what’s going on?”

“I guess we should start with a question.How do you feel about Bella?”Sulpicia figured that was the best place to start.

“I love her with all my heart.”Rosalie told her.

“Maybe I should be more specific.When you smelt Bella’s scent in Alaska are the feelings you had for her then different from the ones you had when she revealed herself in the throne room?”Sulpicia asked.

Noticing how serious everyone in the room was Rosalie took a minute to really think about it.She had a feeling a lot of things hinged on what her answer was.”When I first caught Bella’s scent in Alaska I felt like my body was overtaken with the urge to find who it belonged to.Every time the Denali denied to tell me I felt like I was losing a bit of my sanity.It was like my whole life’s purpose was to find the owner of the scent.”

“And when you saw Bella in the throne room?”Hearing this was just more proof to Didyme that Rosalie’s bond was interfered with.The vampire hadn’t acted close to that when reunited with Bella.

“In the throne when I first saw her I felt the overwhelming feelings of love and all I wanted to do was take her in my arms and kiss her senseless.”Rosalie would have if she wasn’t blocked by a group of vampires protecting Bella.

“Did those feelings change at all?”Irina asked.

Rosalie tried to think about how she felt after everything had calmed down.”I didn’t realize it at the time but they did.Everything was so chaotic that I wasn’t really focused on it but when I think back it was like one minute Bella was the focus of my whole world then the next it was like she was just another vampire in the room.The urges and obsession to be with her went away.”

“I’m going to kill him.”Bella growled.

“I’m going to help.”Kate wasn’t going to be left out of Carlisle’s death.

“I think we all will.”Athenodora said.

“What’s going on?Why did you ask me these questions?”Rosalie asked.

“We asked you because we were suspicious of your actions since you realized you were mated to Bella.”Sulpicia told her.

“I know I acted horrible to Bella and I will spend everyday trying to make up for it but…”Rosalie stop short when Bella pulled her into another hug.

“No it was me who acted horrible.I jumped to conclusions without giving you the benefit of the doubt.”Bella would never forgive herself for thinking so poorly of Rosalie.

“I don’t understand.”Rosalie wasn’t sure why everyone was forgiving her for her actions.

“After the trial was over the seven of us came here to relax.It was as we were watching Kate and Athenodora play video games Bella voiced her confusion over the whole situation.She pointed out to the rest of us how odd your behavior the entire time you had known her was.”Tanya told her.

Rosalie pulled out of the hug.”My behavior was deplorable.”

“It may have been but it wasn’t your fault.After much discussion we all came to the conclusion someone was interfering with your mate bond with Bella.”Sulpicia explained.

“Wait what?”Rosalie wasn’t sure she understood what she was hearing.”Someone was messing with my mate bond?”

Didyme smiled sadly.”We weren’t completely sure but after not only hearing what you told us but Jasper explaining how his gift was affected by your feelings we are positive that your bond is being manipulated.”

“But Chelsea’s dead.”Rosalie didn’t know any vampires other than Chelsea who could affect bonds.

“Chelsea isn’t the one who did it.”Kate said.

“Who did?”Rosalie didn’t know anyone who would do something so despicable.

“Carlisle.”Bella told her.

“How could Carlisle mess with my bond?”Rosalie asked.

“When vampires are turned they form a bond with their sire.Through the sire bond the sire can control the ones they turned.”Tanya wasn’t surprised that Rosalie didn’t know about the sire bond.Carlisle barely told them about vampires let alone how to be one.

“Of course the homophobe would want to stop me from claiming a female mate.”Rosalie wasn’t that surprised that Carlisle would do such a thing.

“That and Edward wanted Bella for himself.”Athenodora said.

“We all know he would do anything to make Edward happy including supporting a false mate bond.I wouldn’t doubt if he sired Bella he would try to force her to ignore the bond with you and focus it on Edward.”Irina knew the man would do it if it made Edward happy.

“Not that he would succeed because it’s obvious he has no understanding on how to properly use a sire bond.”Didyme couldn’t see Carlisle actually succeeding in forcing Bella into a mate bond with Edward.Especially if her real mate was in the coven.

“Is there a way for me to get my feelings back?”Rosalie wanted to be able to experience the mating bond properly.Not the muted version she felt at the moment.

“The only way to break through the sire bond is to kill Carlisle.”Sulpicia told her.

“Which is exactly what we are going to do.”And Bella was going to enjoy every second of it.

“Can I help?”Rosalie wanted a chance to hurt the man that had made her turn her back on Bella.

“Unfortunately you can’t.Carlisle being your sire prevents you from harming him.”Tanya felt bad that Rosalie couldn’t but there was nothing they could do to make it safe for her to be involved.

“You can help kill Edward and Esme.”Bella offered.

“I would like that.”Rosalie wouldn’t miss the opportunity to kill the person who tried to claim her mate.

“That won’t be happening for a least a few days.”Irina said.

“Why not?”Kate thought now that Bella had given them permission to kill the trio they would do it right away.

“Because Bella and Rosalie deserve to spend some time together before we do it.”Irina told her.

“I would like that.”Rosalie wouldn’t pass up the chance to spend time with Bella.

Bella stood from the couch and held out her hand for Rosalie.“I will show you my rooms and then take you on a tour of the castle.”

“I’d like that.”Rosalie hoped that Bella could explain to her how she became the Volturi Princess.

“We will send for you if anything comes up that needs your attention.”Sulpicia called out to the pair as they were already out the door.

“Why are we waiting to kill Carlisle?Don’t we want Rosalie to be free of his bond as soon as possible?”Kate asked.

“We do but a lot of things have happened over the last two days.Bella needs a chance to breathe and reclaim her bearings before she has to deal with everything else.”Irina said.

“With how little she likes to be involved with others this has to be effecting her more than she is letting on.At least the stress of Rosalie being a horrible mate is no longer there.”Athenodora was happy that Rosalie turned out to be nothing like they thought she was.

Kate clapped her hands together and stood.“Well even if we can’t kill Carlisle that doesn’t mean we can’t beat on him.”

“I wouldn’t mind visiting Esme.”Irina would happily spend some time with the woman.

“Can you get us three more bags of human blood?”Tanya asked the queens.

“I like how you think.”Athenodora knew exactly what Tanya was getting at.

“Do you think Carlisle will drink it?”Sulpicia asked.

“I think if we cause enough damage he will.It might take him a little while to give in but he will.”Irina predicted that Carlisle would drink anything they gave him once they were done with him.

“What are we going to do when it comes time to feed the other three?”Didyme asked.

“Since Bella invented the synthetic blood we haven’t been ordering human blood so I say we just give them the synthetic.I don’t want to have to deal with wasting the little supplies we have on them.That way if we get another prisoner we can torture with human blood we have some in stock.”Sulpicia didn’t think it would make to much of difference for the trio because by the time they were released the synthetic blood would be on the market and they would be able to get it easily.

“I’ll go grab the blood bags and meet you guys in the dungeon.”Athenodora hurried out of the room.She didn’t want to miss any of the beatings.

“I think the two of us are going to join in on this adventure.What do you think darling?”Sulpicia asks Didyme.

“There is no way I’m missing this but before we go to the dungeon we need to make sure the security cameras are still working.I want to make sure we have audio and video of what’s to come.”Didyme wanted to be able to watch it back.

“Good point.We should also have a couple of the guards come with us with hand helds to get better angles.”Sulpicia suggested.

“Bella has the best equipment for that.”Kate told them.

“She was the one who supplied the guards with the equipment.It’s all top of the line and has the ability to capture vampires at high speeds.With those cameras the guards will be able to record every detail.”Didyme said.

“Then we are all set.”Irina smiled brightly when she followed the other five out of the room.She was finally going to get the chance to punish Esme for all the hardships she put Bella through.Those hardship resulting in Bella not trusting her real mothers right away and keeping her distance in the beginning.It had taken a lot of love and reassurance that they wouldn’t leave Bella to make the girl accept them.There were setbacks of course but after two years Bella finally consented to being turned.Irina knew that if it wasn’t for Esme Bella would have welcomed them with open arms and their relationship would have been stronger in the beginning.Esme had done so much damage to Bella emotionally it was only right that her mothers and the queens repay her with physical damage.The woman deserved no less for throwing Bella away so easily.Irina couldn’t wait to kill Esme but she wanted her to suffer first and suffer she would for the way she had treated Bella.
