Isabella Swan shot up from bed grabbing her gun and rushing to the window after being woken up by the alarm.Flicking the safety off she pointed the gun out the window.Not surprising the intruder was no longer there.Looking down she found Charlie in the yard with a shot gun.This was the third night in a row the visitor had shown up and it seemed they had decided to be brave and enter the house.Pulling her head back into her room Isabella shut the window and reset the security system.

“Was it him again?”Charlie asked as the entered the room.

“What do you think?”Isabella asked.

“I think I’m going to go get dressed and make an impromptu visit to the Cullen’s home.”Charlie said.

“You better hurry because I doubt he will stick around for to long especially since he triggered the ink spell.”Isabella told him.

“What color should I expect Mr.Cullen to be covered in?”Charlie asked.

“Pink of course.”Isabella smiled when Charlie laughed.

Charlie thought that was a fitting color for the boy.“How long will it stay on him?”

“At least a month.Probably longer depending on how it reacts with his vampire body.”Isabella told him.

“You coming with me?”Charlie asked.

“I might as well.That way if they try anything I can protect you.”Isabella didn’t like the idea of Charlie being alone with a coven of vampires.

“Let me go put on my uniform.I’ll meet you in the car.”Charlie said as he made his way out of the room.

Isabella waved a hand over herself replacing her pajamas with jeans and a sweatshirt. She was beyond annoyed with this whole situation.She had come home to relax and spend some time with Charlie while going over her research but had somehow found herself the object of obsession for a vampire.It was strange that the boy Edward had fixated on her because Isabella had interacted with other vampires before and didn’t have any issues with them.Something was different with Edward.He had shown up the first night she had been home.They caught him on the security cameras the next morning.That also prompted Isabella to add the ink spell to the security system that Charlie had already installed in her room.

Charlie took his roll as her protector very seriously and Isabella had to talk him out of his plan for her to capture the whole coven while he burned their bodies.Isabella honestly wasn’t against the idea it was just that the Cullens had a very public presence.People would notice if they went missing suddenly.Knowing they had to do something they had been planning on having Isabella get a restraining order against the boy after providing pictures of him in the tree outside her bedroom looking in the window.Knowing that he would eventually try to break in Isabella put a ink spell that would cover anyone who tried to get in the window in a magical ink that wouldn’t wash off no matter how much the person scrubbed their skin.Even if they were a vampire.

“You ready.”Charlie asked when he got into the driver’s seat of the police cruiser.

“Yeah let’s go arrest a vampire.”Isabella said.

“Why don’t you tell me about what you found in Egypt?We haven’t really had a chance to talk.”Charlie had been working late so he could take a few days off to spend with Isabella.

“I acquired some texts I found in a few of pyramids I searched.”Egypt was the latest of Isabella’s stops in her search of learning all she could about magic.Born in the Enchanted forest to the so called Evil Queen Isabella was separated from not only her mother but two sisters as well.Left in the care of the queen’s highest ranking most trusted guard Isabella was brought up with complete knowledge of who and what she was.Using the few books her mother sent with Charlie Isabella had been trying to find proof of magic so that she could figure out a way to reunite with her family.She had found some promising leads but hadn’t been successful yet.

“Did the lead about the shaman pan out?”Charlie asked.When it was found out about the curse Snow White had been about to cast Charlie had been honored that the queen trusted him enough to keep Isabella safe.He came to this realm with the identity of a man who’s family had died and left him a lot of money.He picked Forks as a place to live because it was a small town and people didn’t ask that many questions.The reason he got into law enforcement was to help Isabella get around the law when she was on her trips.It wasn’t unheard of her to steal or use force to get information and on the off chance she was found out he wanted to be able to take of it.

“No, he was just an old man who was scamming tourist.”Isabella told him.”It was a pretty elaborate scam to.He had an entire crew that would do surveillance on his marks and break into their hotel rooms to go their stuff. I’m not sure but I think they were even haking people’s phones.”

“That’s a lot of effort to put into a scam.”Charlie said.

“For the amount of money they were making the effort was worth it.I know he was frustrated when I showed up to my appointment with him.”Isabella had seen the old man’s anger when she showed up well dressed and almost oozing money and he wasn’t able to put one over on her.

Charlie chuckled.”I bet.”

“We are in hearing range.”Isabella told him causing both to slip into silence so the vampires wouldn’t hear them.

“Let me lead.”Charlie said as he parked the car and he and Isabella got out.Neither were surprised that the front door opened before they even made it to the front door.

“Hello Chief Swan.I’m Carlisle Cullen.”Turning his attention to Isabella he asked.”And you must be Bella.”

“It’s Isabella.”Charlie said.

“My apologizes.May I ask what has you visiting so late at night?”Carlisle obviously knew why they were there but was trying play stupid.

“I’m here to arrest your son Edward.”Charlie told him.

“Edward?What has he done?”Carlisle asked.

“Trespassing, stalking, breaking and entering, and attempted assault.”Charlie listed off.

Carlisle looked honestly surprised hearing the charges.”Do you have proof he did all this?”

“I do.”Charlie handed Carlisle the pictures from the security camera outside Isabella’s window that showed Edward Cullen sitting in the tree looking into her window.He then handed him one of Edward lifting up the window and getting sprayed with something.

“I see.”Carlisle was obviously disturbed by the evidence and Isabella wondered if the man knew what Edward had been doing.

“If you wish for further evidence the window was rigged with an ink bomb.”Charlie told him.

“Well I assure you that I will have a word with my son but does this really need to be escalated into him being arrested?”Carlisle asked.

“Are you trying to make me look the other way right now?”Charlie rested his hand on his gun.

Carlisle shook his head.”No of course not.It’s just Edward is a teenage boy.You remember when you were a teenager and had a crush.Sometimes we make mistakes.”

“A mistake.”Charlie said.

“Yes, a mistake. As we see no harm was done so I will talk to Edward and make sure he leaves Isabella alone in the future.”Carlisle relief was short lived when Charlie spoke.

“Yeah that’s not going to fly.Keeping my daughter safe is my life’s purpose.Your son’s actions aren’t those of a boy with a crush.They are the actions of a person who is obsessed with someone and have escalated to the point that I fear for my daughter.How would fell if like my daughter your daughters started sleeping with a gun because they were afraid of a boy breaking into their room and assaulting them?Would you let that boy go with only a lecture or would you do what you had to do to make your daughters feel safe?”Charlie asked.

“Well…I..I of course.”Carlisle sputtered.

“That’s what I thought.Now hand over your son peacefully or I will take him with force.”Charlie told him.

“I would gladly hand over my son he however has not come home.So at this time I don’t know where he is.”Carlisle said.

“Then you wouldn’t mind me looking around?”It was obvious that Charlie wasn’t going to take no for an answer.

Carlisle’s entire demeanor changed.“I think you need a warrant to come into my home officer.”

“Listen to me you tree hugging prick.”Charlie took a step forward but stopped when Isabella put her hand on his arm.Charlie took a deep breath.”If I see your so called son again I’ll rip off his head and burn the body.”

“What do you mean by that?”Carlisle asked suspiciously.

“You take it any way you want to take it.”Charlie said as he turned on his heals and made his back to the cruiser with Isabella right behind him.

“He’s there.”Isabella said when they were far enough away from the house.

“Of course he is and right now I bet they are panicking and planning on leaving as soon as possible.”Charlie said.

Isabella chuckled.”I wouldn’t doubt it.”

“Just in case have you kept up with your training?”Charlie asked.

“Of course.”Isabella spent at least two hours each day if not more on practicing her magic.

“Good because next time the boy shows up I want you to throw a fire ball at him.”Charlie figured that would chase the boy off for a while.

“You got it.”Isabella would gladly light the shiny vampire on fire.Fire balls were one of her favorite things to conjure. Isabella loved it so much because she knew it was her mother’s favorite as well.Maybe she would actually set up a spell that shot fire out to anyone who tried to open her window.Then she wouldn’t be directly responsible for killing anyone.Isabella knew Regina’s no killing policing but figured her mother would forgive her if her life was being threatened like it was by Edward Cullen.
