“Is that ice cream?”Kate asked Rosalie when the blond vampire entered the living room with Isabella and Tanya right behind her.She was holding what Kate thought was a waffle cone full of ice cream.Tanya was holding a large bowl that contain some kind of sundae and Isabella was empty handed.Kate frowned when she noticed that Rosalie and Tanya were still human.She felt it was extremely unfair that the pair got the chance to get so much of their humanity back and no one else did.Kate wondered if she prayed to Artemis if the goddess would make her human as well.She would try later when she was in private.

“Yes, it is a waffle cone filled with five different flavored scoops of ice cream.”Rosalie had wanted to eat their treats at the ice cream shop but Tanya was worried about when they were going to change back into vampires.It was a good point but Rosalie hadn’t wanted their date to end.

“What did you get Tanya?”Alice asked.

“I got a hot fudge sundae topped with rainbow sprinkles.”Tanya had always wanted to try chocolate.It wasn’t something she knew existed while she was human.

“You are so gay.”Emmett said.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”Rosalie asked.

“It’s just you know she’s a lesbian and she got rainbow sprinkles.”Emmett pointed out.

Kate laughed.“Oh my god you are right.You are so gay!!”

“I think you mean goddess.”Isabella joked.

“Do you find it disrespectful when people only acknowledge the version of a Christian god?”Jasper had wondered if Isabella even cared about such things.

Isabella shook her head.”People now don’t know any better.It was the ones who started modern day religion that were the ones who upset not only myself but the other gods and goddesses as well.Those are the people I hold the grudge against not the people who were brainwashed into believing it.”

“Why don’t you do something to get truth out there?”Irina didn’t know the rules but it seemed like Isabella was allowed to reveal herself to people.

“When humans first began inhabiting the earth we were very involved in there lives.It was peaceful time.That changed as the population grew and civilization advanced.False prophets came forth and claimed to know the will of the gods.Instead of worshiping us they formed armies and lied about it being us who told them kill those who opposed them.It wasn’t to bad at first until some of the gods and goddesses got involved.”Isabella told them.

“What happened when they got involved?”Eleazar didn’t think anything good.

“Many of them started buying into the human’s propaganda.They thought they were the only ones that deserved the human’s loyalty.They had their children act as their champions and many bloody wars were fought.”Isabella was still disgusted with all the innocent lives lost.

“What made them stop?”Tanya asked.

“I warned them to stop interfering with humans but most ignored me.They left me no choice but to banish them and all their children from earth.None of them are allowed to visit unless I escort them personally.”Isabella explained.

“Wait you were able to banish all the gods and goddess from earth?”Edith wasn’t sure she believed that.

“Earth is my domain.Even though some of them have creations that dwell here I make all decisions when it comes to Earth.”Isabella explained.

“Do you control all the planets?”Carmen asked.

“No, just earth.I do help others bring life to other domains but I have no authority over what happens anywhere other than earth and my realm.”Isabella didn’t want the responsibility either.She had her hands full with taking care of earth and her realm she didn’t need the extra work.

“That’s so wild to think that just one person has so much power over everything.”Emmett was already imagining all the things he would do if he had that authority.

“There are certain things I’m not allowed to interfere with however.Things like vampires.Those are my sister’s creations and I have to have her permission to act against them.”Isabella told them.

“That actually brings up some news I wanted to tell you.”Eleazar was going to find some time to speak to Isabella later.He had many questions for the goddess and was hopeful she might answer at least a few of them.He wouldn’t push if she didn’t want to talk to him though.

“Is this about Carlisle?”Tanya took a seat on the couch with Rosalie and Isabella flanking her.

“It is.”Eleazar confirmed.”I have word that he is trying to gather allies.”

“What is he telling people he needs them for?”Rosalie held out her spoon for Isabella to take a bite of her ice cream smiling when the goddess did.

“He is claiming that an unknown supernatural with mind control powers has taken his coven hostage and turned them against him.”Eleazar said.

”How do they explain the fact that he, Edward and Esme weren’t effected?”Tanya knew Carlisle was stupid but didn’t think he was that stupid.

“Apparently due to Edward and his superior minds they were able to fight off the unknown supernatural’s influence and were able to save Esme.”Eleazar told them.

Rosalie laughed.”What a moron.”

“Does anyone believe him?”Tanya asked.

“From the rumors I’ve heard he has gained somewhat of a following.That was mostly due to him telling everyone the unknown supernatural’s agenda was to enslave all vampires and take away their free will.”Eleazar didn’t know why anyone would believe Carlisle.

“Why would anyone believe that?”Isabella didn’t know much about vampire politics but didn’t think anyone would fall for such a lie.

“Carlisle is well respected in the vampire world.He portrays himself as a family man who holds onto his humanity by living and working amongst humans.He stays out of trouble and has given his help in the form of loaning his gifted coven members to those who ask.”Tanya explained.

“How many allies has he gathered?”Rosalie wanted to be prepared for what was coming.

“I was told about two dozen.Some are covens,others are nomads.”Eleazar said.

“Did you get the names of any of them?”Tanya asked.

“He convinced the Irish, Egyptian and the Romanian coven.As for nomads I don’t know.”Eleazar was still waiting to hear back from some people.

“The Irish coven?!”Emmett was shocked that Carlisle was able to get the trio to join up with him.

“What’s so concerning about the Irish coven?”Isabella asked.

“Liam and Siobhan are very skilled warriors.No one messes with them or the third member of their coven Maggie.If they attack us it will be a fight to the death because they won’t yield easily.”Edith didn’t think they a good chance of defeating the Irish coven even with a goddess on their side.

“Tanya don’t you have a friendship with them?”Jasper had thought that Tanya had mentioned knowing them.

“I wouldn’t say we are friends but we have always interacted peacefully and exchanged phone numbers.”Tanya wasn’t close to the other coven.They rarely spoke.

“Do you think if you reached out to them they would be willing to listen to you?You could tell them about the mate bond.”Jasper figured that the Irish coven would at least hear Tanya out if she mentioned the mate bond.

“I could try.”Tanya didn’t know if they would believe her but she would call them.

“Maybe tell them about Edward losing his gift.”Edith suggested.

“I doubt Edward has mentioned that.”Rosalie was positive he hadn’t.

“It would disprove his claim of having the ability to fight off the unknown supernatural’s influence.”Kate hoped that information would make the Irish coven question what Carlisle and Edward were telling them.

“I wish my gift would give us some kind of clue to what they were up to.”Alice had been trying to hone her gift on the pair but was only getting glimpses of them.”What I’ve seen so far has been useless.”

“Edward probably knows how your gift works better than you do.It wouldn’t be impossible for him to know how to get around it.”Irina could easily believe that Edward had studied Alice’s gift to make sure he could beat it if he needed to.

“Is there anything you can do to find out what they are up to?”Rosalie asked Isabella.

Isabella thought through her options.”They haven’t directly challenged us yet so I’m hesitant to involve my sister.She said she would help if we needed her to but I would rather wait to call on that help until we are confronted by either Carlisle and Edward or the Volturi.”

“Why would you want to wait?”Edith would think they would want to stop everyone before they could act.

“Gods and goddesses don’t do things for free.My sister offered her help with the expectations of me owing her favor in return.A favor that I can not refuse to do even if I am totally against it.Favors are highly coveted and my kind go out of their way to avoid owing one.”Isabella herself had collected one from Aphrodite a few days prior.

“What happens if you don’t do what they ask you to do?”Emmett asked.

“The titans get involved and they punish you.”Isabella told him.

“The titans punish you if you refuse to do the favor?”Carmen didn’t think you would be punished for refusing to do something.

Isabella flinched thinking of some of the punishments she had witness for such situations.”It’s always better to do what you are asked even if you are asked to kill your own sibling than face the wrath of the titans.”

“You would kill one of your siblings if asked?”Rosalie couldn’t see her mate killing anyone.

“I wouldn’t be asked such a thing.”Seeing the confused expressions Isabella explained.”I am the goddess of life.I am the most sought after out of all the gods and goddesses for favors.No one would ask me to take a life because if they did they know I would never help them in the future.”

“Your people seek you out the most for help?”Eleazar asked.

“If I didn’t bring life to their domains they would be barren.Just rocks and dirt.No life forms big or small. No vegetation or any kind of growth.They would stay stagnant.”Isabella told him.

“That makes sense.”Alice would ask Isabella for help in her domain if she was in that situation.

“You did bring up something else we need to talk about.”Tanya was very interested in learning about what Isabella’s life was like but they had important things to discuss.”What have you heard about the Volturi?”

“Nothing.From what I can tell Carlisle and Edward are only reaching out to vampires that have a known hatred of the kings.I doubt that they know anything about Isabella yet.”Eleazar told her.

“The key word is yet.”Kate expected once they found out the king would send scouts to spy on them.

“Alice how is your gift working with the kings?”Tanya asked.

“I’ve checked on them a few times and see them just fine.”Alice had been beyond relieved when she tested her gift on the royals and had no problem with her gift.”The only problem I really have is that with Isabella involved our future is blurry.I can’t see anything clearly.”

“That unfortunately is not something I can turn off.”Isabella wished she could but it wasn’t something she had control over.

“That sucks.”Emmett hated that they didn’t have the added protection.

“So to recap.Carlisle and Edward are recruiting vampires that have no loyalty to the Volturi, we think Edward is tricking Alice’s gift, the king haven’t been told about Isabella yet and we have Isabella’s allies on stand bye but can’t use them unless the situation is dire.”Tanya listed off.”Did I miss anything?”

The room became silent as everyone thought about what was going on.It was Kate who spoke first.”Other than you two are still human and can’t help if we are attacked.That’s everything.”

“When are you going to change back?”Jasper was somewhat concerned because Tanya was one of their best fighters and they would need her skills.

“I don’t know.”Tanya was hoping to stay this way for a while longer but understood the urgency to be a vampire again.

“I think that’s all we need to talk about.”Now that Rosalie was reminded they were human she wanted a chance to test out her body with her mates.She had no doubt that having sex as a human was a lot different than having sex as a vampire.

Tanya quickly caught on to what Rosalie was thinking.She stood from the couch and held out her hand for both her mates.”We are going to go spend some time together.Let me know if anything needs my attention.”

“You can at least throw away your trash.”Kate called after them.Huffing she grabbed Tanya’s bowl and Rosalie’s napkins.”It doesn’t matter if they are human they still need to clean up after themselves.What if my puppy got into into the chocolate left in this bowl?”

Carmen smiled at Kate’s worry over her puppy.”It’s a good thing that she has you looking after her.”

“Who knew Kate could be so responsible.”Emmett commented after Kate left the room with the trash.

“A little responsibility is good for her.It will keep her from causing so much chaos.”Irina said.

“She will be able to cause as much chaos as she wants when Carlisle and Edward make their move.”Jasper had no doubt that would be very soon.

“Let’s just hope that Isabella’s allies step in before things get to out of hand.”Edith said the others murmuring their agreements.She had no illusions that they were going to be left alone.Carlisle and Edward wouldn’t rest until either they killed all the Denali or the Denali killed them.The pair would never admit defeat because they would never believe anyone could best them.It made Edith wonder what their plan was.The didn’t really know much about Isabella’s abilities.So they wouldn’t know how fight her.Other than creating life she was mostly an unknown.She wondered if Rosalie and Tanya knew anything.She would ask them the next time she saw them.Which wouldn’t be any time soon.The trio included two newly mated vampires.They probably wouldn’t make an appearance for a few days.Edith smiled.She was happy for Rosalie because out of all them Rosalie deserved happiness and who better to bring that happiness than a goddess.
