“How’s it going?”Rosalie jumped at the sound of Jane’s voice.She hadn’t heard the small vampire enter the room.She was to focused on making sure she didn’t break one of Bella’s gaming machines and wasn’t really paying attention to what was going on around her.That and her mind keep replaying all the things Bella had shown her.Rosalie still couldn’t believe after thinking she would never be with Bella that she actually had a chance and that Bella loved her just as much if not more than Rosalie loved her.Rosalie was still holding on to the happiness and peace she felt being held in Bella’s arms.She had wished they spent more time snuggled up on the couch together but Bella had become uncomfortable.Rosalie didn’t push for more and just followed Bella back to the machines and began cleaning.

“Good we are almost done.”Rosalie told her.

“What do you plan to do when you finish?”Jane asked earning a shrug from Bella.

“She hasn’t said we were doing anything other than cleaning the machines.”Rosalie said.

“What you mean she said?Did she speak to you?”Jane asked.

Rosalie smiled brightly.”Yes, she touched my hand.”

“What did she show you?”Jane was beyond surprised that Bella had initiated touch with Rosalie so soon.

“She showed me how she felt when she was human.How much she loved me from the moment our eyes connected in the parking lot and that she never stopped.Even after she was turned she continued to love me.”Rosalie tried to blink away the venom tears that would never fall that speaking of Bella’s love caused.

“You loved her when you were human?”This question earned Jane another shrug from Bella.Not willing to let it go Jane tried a different angle.”Why didn’t you act on it when you were human?”

“You don’t have to tell us.”Rosalie didn’t want to make Bella talk about something that would upset her.

Bella rolled her eyes and held out her hand for Jane who eagerly took it.Taking a moment to watch the memories Bella showed her Jane sighed.”If I didn’t want to kill them before I would definitely want to after seeing that.”

“What did she show you?”Rosalie asked.

“She showed me numerous conversations she had with different members of you former coven about having feelings for you and them claiming that your beauty was part of your gift that made people fall in love with you.Bella didn’t really believe them but didn’t understand why Edward would lie about something so important like a mate bond so she went along with it.She also showed me times where she tried to ask you about it but was interrupted every time.”Jane explained.

”Alice.”Rosalie concluded.

“It seems the seer was very keen on making sure the topic was never brought up with you.”Jane said.

“I wish I kill all of them.”Just hearing that Bella had tried to seek her out made Rosalie even more angry at her former coven.Rosalie had always assumed even if she had chance with Bella that she would be turned down because Bella loved Edward.To find out that Bella was actively trying to connect with her and was being kept away pissed her off.

“You may not have your chance at Carlisle but the rest of them are fair game.”Jane told her.

“I will be able to be involved with the initial punishment.”Rosalie had thought it would be just the royals, Jane and Kate.

“I spoke with the royals about it before I came here.They are more than willing to let you be involved.They even expressed their regret that you wouldn’t get your chance with Carlisle because of the sire bond.”Jane was upset for Rosalie as well.If anyone other then Bella deserved to beat on Carlisle it was Rosalie for the lifetime of hell he put her through.

“I’m worried about being able to watch the arena event.”Rosalie wasn’t sure if Carlisle would be able to influence her during the fight.

“You don’t have to worry.Bella will shield you from sight so that Carlisle won’t even know you are there.You will also be sitting in the royal box with the kings, queens, myself, my brother and probably the Denali that will be able to restrain you if something happens.”Jane wasn’t concerned about Rosalie being targeted by Carlisle.Not only would she be shielded but Carlisle would be too busy trying to survive to pay attention to who was in the crowd.

“If Bella is shielding me won’t it distract her?”Rosalie wouldn’t be comfortable with Bella putting herself in danger just to keep her safe.

”I promise that shielding you is a very minor thing for Bella.”Jane assured her.”Even right now she is mentally shielding half the castle without even paying attention to them.”

“Seriously?”Rosalie knew Bella was powerful but didn’t think she was that powerful.

Jane nodded.”She is shielding every vampire that is in or around the dungeons.That includes your former coven members.”

“I bet Edward is pissed that his gift stopped working.”Rosalie would have paid a lot of money to see the look on his face when he found out his gift was useless.

“It’s not only Edward’s gift that she is blocking.Alice and Jasper’s no longer affect anyone as well.”Jane was thinking the same thing as Rosalie she wished that she had the chance to escort them to their cells so that she could be there when they realized that they couldn’t rely on their gifts to get them out of the situation.She couldn’t trust Rosalie’s security to anyone else though.

“I didn’t even think about those two.Carlisle relies on them almost as much as Edward to get them out of trouble.”Rosalie bet the Cullens were panicking not having their gifts to help them escape.

“I haven’t checked in with the guards that are monitoring them to see if they have been trying to communicate with each other.If they do they have to speak loudly because Bella made sure they were spaced far away from each other.That way they wouldn’t have a chance to plan anything without being overheard.”Jane had always been impressed with the way Bella dealt with prisoners.She treated each new one differently and set them up in a way that made them the most vulnerable.

“I would be interested to know what they say.”Rosalie wanted to know what convoluted plan the idiots would come up with.

“It will all come out during their trial.”Jane told her.

“When is that going to be?”Rosalie asked.

“It will depend on Bella.”Seeing Rosalie’s confusion Jane explained.”The kings know she wants to be there but they want to wait until she’s calm enough she doesn’t kill them on sight.”

Rosalie looked over at Bella who was cleaning one of the machines once again not paying attention to Rosalie and Jane’s conversation.The vampire looked perfectly at ease.”She looks pretty calm to me.”

“That’s what’s concerning.Bella hasn’t reacted to anything that has happened since you showed up at Alaska.Even when Carlisle ordered the attack she went easy on them.Usually when the Cullens are brought up she has violent outbursts.They are one of her main triggers.We all expected her to come home lock herself in her room for a few days and only come out for the trial and punishment.The fact that she hasn’t is not normal.”Jane wasn’t sure when it would happen but she predicted Bella would have an outburst and it would be big.Resulting in lots of damage.

“She could be saving it for when she fights them in the arena.”Rosalie suggested.

“That’s not how she processes emotions.She doesn’t let things stew she reacts then she retreats.”Jane told her.

“Maybe this time it’s different.”Rosalie said.

“I doubt after 50 years of the same behavior when the Cullens are mentioned that she is suddenly alright with having to deal with them in person.”Jane knew for a fact that Bella was not alright with them.She had experienced the last five decades of Bella reacting to the Cullens.There was no way Bella was over her feelings.

“How do we help her?”Rosalie wasn’t sure that Jane was right because all she had seen from Bella was a completely calm and even mannered vampire.Bella didn’t really seemed bothered with the rest of world content to do her own thing.Rosalie didn’t think Jane would lie about It though so she would step up and do what she could to support Bella’s needs.

“I’m not sure.Like I said this has never happened before.The only things that we can do is be mindful of her moods and make sure that we don’t trigger her.The last thing we want is for her to attack one of us.”Jane said.

“Would she really attack us?”Rosalie was told Bella would but didn’t really think Bella was capable of it.

Jane nodded.”When Bella was first turned she would attack anyone who touched her.Her parents and me were her main targets because we would forget ourselves and act on our bonds.”

“She was able to hurt her bond mates?”Rosalie had thought that it was impossible to hurt anyone you had a bond with.

“It’s not really her fault.It’s because of the trauma from what Victoria did to her.Her fight or flight instincts are always active.In her mind it is only matter of time before someone tries to attack her so she has to be ready for it.When something catches her off guard her only thought is eliminate the threat.When she calms down and realizes what she has done she is overwhelmed with guilt and shame.I dare say that it hurts Bella more than it hurts the person who was attacked because she would never voluntarily hurt anyone she cares for.”Jane’s heart broke for Bella every time something like that happened.

“That makes sense.”Rosalie hadn’t been as extreme as Bella but after she was turned she would react negatively to people touching her without permission.After what Bella went through it was no wonder that her reactions were so extreme.

Just has Jane was about to speak her phone dinged.Looking at the message she smiled.”A guard just picked up the Denali from the airport.”

“Does that mean that Bella is going to hang out with Kate soon?”Rosalie asked.

“Didyme will probably speak to them before that.”Jane said.

“Do you think she will tell them about Bella?”Rosalie wondered what information the queen would tell the Denali about Bella.

“I think she will explain Bella’s lack of speech and warn them of respecting Bella’s boundaries.”Jane guessed.

“I want to know what the queen has arranged for them.”Now knowing how important this visit with Kate was to Bella Rosalie wanted to know what Didyme had in store to make sure they had a good time.

“Probably many elaborate activities that will impress them.”Jane knew that the queen had put in a lot of effort hoping the Denali would enjoy the visit and want to come to visit Bella again.

“Will we be able to join them?”Rosalie asked.

“That will be up to Bella but most likely.She will want at least one of us there to speak for her.That and to run interference with the rest of the coven if they decide to join Kate which I’m positive Tanya will.She seemed very nervous about Kate being allowed in the arcade.I doubt she will let Kate out her sight the whole time they are in the castle.”Jane had seen the way Tanya had been quick to jump in to keep Kate from being pushy with her questions and had scolded her for saying something insulting or rude.It was easy to tell she was nervous about Kate offending them.She didn’t have anything to worry about though.Bella didn’t care what Kate said and the royals would let Kate get away with saying anything to make her happy so she would be Bella’s friend.

“I’m not surprised to hear that.”Kate was known for pissing people off.If Rosalie was in Tanya’s position she wouldn’t leave Kate alone with someone as important and deadly as Bella.”If they are going to be here soon I better help Bella finish up.”

“That’s a good idea.It would stress Bella out if everything wasn’t clean.”Bella had shown Jane her concern that Kate wouldn’t want hang out in the arcade if it wasn’t perfectly clean and because of that Jane knew that Bella would worry that Kate would have a bad time if everything wasn’t spotless.

“Bella which ones are left?”Rosalie asked Bella.Bella pointed to three machines next to her in the last row they had been working up to.Rosalie grabbed the cleaning supplies Bella gave her and made her way over to the machine next to the one Bella was working on.It made Rosalie feel good to help Bella with something that was obviously important to her.It was an easy way to support her mate.Rosalie had a feeling it was going to hard to do that often so she was going to take any chance she could to step up.It wasn’t any kind of hardship to do things for Bella so Rosalie didn’t mind doing whatever was asked of her.Even if that meant she was forced to clean.That being something she avoided at all cost and only ever did if Carlisle forced her to do it but if she was cleaning for Bella then she was more than willing to get her hands dirty.Bella was definitely worth it.
