“Assassin where are you?”Jane called out when she walked through the door to the arcade and didn’t see Bella anywhere.She had brought Rosalie to hang out in the arcade at Bella’s request and expected Bella to be waiting.That didn’t seem to be the case and Jane was worried that Bella decided to lock herself in her room after dealing with Emmett and Becky.Seeing Bella poke her head around one of the games in the back row Jane sighed in relief.The crisis was averted for now but Jane was still going check in once she was done with the kings to see how Bella was feeling about all the things that happened since Alaska.The fact that Bella didn’t seem that affected was odd and made Jane think that Bella was just ignoring her emotions.That meant that once they wouldn’t be ignore anymore Bella would have some kind of outburst.Probably a violent one.

“Do you need my help again?”Rosalie didn’t notice Jane’s concern.She was just happy that Bella wanted to spend time with her.When Bella nodded in reply Rosalie eagerly made her way over to her.

“Are you going to be alright with just Rosalie here?”Jane asked.She took Bella’s hand in her own when it was offered.Taking a moment to sort though Bella’s thoughts she spoke.”Alright I’m going to go talk to the kings and then I’ll be back.Your mother will probably come as well to talk to you about Kate’s visit.”

“Is she planning something for Kate?”Rosalie asked.

“I have no doubt that the queen is going to pull out all the stops for Kate and the rest of her coven.”Jane said.

“Is their visit really that big of a deal?”Rosalie didn’t think the royals would put in that much effort for the Denali’s visit.

“Kate is the first person other than the royals, myself, you and my brother Alec that Bella has invited to spend time with her.Usually when she interacts with others it’s when she is dealing with guard business.”Jane explained.

“I see why the queen would want them to have a good time.”Rosalie although excited for Bella to have made a friend was saddened because it seemed like this was the first one she had ever had.Even with her connection to the royals and Jane and Alec Rosalie imagined Bella must have been lonely not having anyone to spend time with that she wasn’t bonded to.

“She wants to make sure they will want to visit again.”Jane told her.

“I’m sure that the arcade alone will have Kate wanting to come back.”Rosalie wouldn’t be surprised if Kate spent days on end in the room trying to beat every game in it.

“I will be back soon message me if you leave.”Jane held up a hand when Bella shook her head.”I don’t care that you don’t like using your phone.You are to message me if you decide to leave the arcade.That way I know where you are so I can come get Rosalie if you don’t want to take her with you.”

“She doesn’t like using her phone?”Rosalie thought being able to type out what she wanted to say would make it easier to communicate.

“It frustrates her trying to get her thoughts out with words.She finds it easier just to show you what she is thinking and feeling instead of having to describe it.”Jane said.

“I guess I will understand better once I experience it.”Rosalie hoped that would be soon.

“That being said.Message me.”Jane told Bella.She held Bella’s gaze until the vampire nodded.It was as good was going to get so she let it go.She needed to meet with the royals to find out what was going on and didn’t want to waste anymore time fighting with Bella.

“So what should I do?”Rosalie asked Bella once Jane had left.She wasn’t sure how they were going to communicate but she would do her best to understand Bella.Bella pulled a device out of her robes and handed it Rosalie.Taking the small tablet from Bella Rosalie saw a music app pulled up.”You want me to pick some music?”

Getting a nod from Bella Rosalie scrolled through the music library impressed with Bella’s taste.It was as she clicked on Bella’s playlist she noticed one that was titled Rainy Days.For some reason Rosalie felt the urge to know what was on that playlist.She went wide eyed when she noticed that all the songs had to do with her.Not only was the band that she and Bella used to listen to listed but other bands and songs that Rosalie could attribute to time she spent with Bella when she was human.There was even the song that was playing in Bella’s truck the first time Rosalie had made eye contact with the girl.

“Is this soundtrack about me?”Rosalie was almost afraid of the answer but when Bella looked at the tablet and nodded Rosalie’s eyes filled with venom tears that would never fall.”Did you have feelings for me when you were human?”

Rosalie’s breath caught in her throat when Bella moved take off her glove.She held herself completely still as to not startle Bella.It seemed like Bella was unsure of her next move but when she held her hand out Rosalie eagerly took in her own.Once she did she was overwhelmed with images of herself as seen through Bella’s eyes.Rosalie closed her eyes and watched as a movie of Bella’s thoughts and feelings of Rosalie when she interacted with her as human.The images stopped when Bella made eye contact with her at the Denali’s.Rosalie now understood what Jane meant by saying Bella probably felt the mate bond more intensely than a regular vampire because Rosalie had never felt the amount of love and happiness Bella felt when they were reunited.

“You have loved me since that day in the parking lot?”When Bella nodded Rosalie couldn’t stop the sobs from coming.They worsened when Bella pulled her into a hug.Rosalie had thought Bella hated her this whole time.To find out different made her hatred of Carlisle increase tenfold.Rosalie could have been happy with Bella and could have protected her from Victoria.Carlisle had ruined not only Rosalie’s life but Bella’s as well.She hoped that she would get a chance to be involved with Carlisle’s initial punishment.It would be nice to get a chance at hurting the man.

“I can’t believe this whole time you never forgot about me.”Rosalie choked out.She took deep breaths to get control of her emotions.The scent of her mate calming her.Bella touched her face causing Rosalie to smile at Bella’s thoughts.”Of course I never forgot you.You were my mate.Even though I thought you died I didn’t stop loving you.”

Rosalie sighed as Bella pulled out the hug and grabbed her hand.She couldn’t believe that Bella had loved her this whole time.Even after she was turned that love had never extinguished.If anything it became more intense.Following Bella through the arcade she asked.”Aren’t we going to finish cleaning?”

Bella shook her head and made her way to the couch in front of the big screen where she took a seat and held her arms open.Rosalie rushed to snuggle into her mate.She didn’t expect to get the chance to touch Bella let alone snuggle with her so soon.With the warnings from Jane and Bella’s parents Rosalie didn’t expect much from Bella.Maybe to be acknowledged once and a while.Never would she think that not only did Bella initiate touch with her but shared all her memories of Rosalie.That and her feelings as well.Jane was right about never doubting that Bella felt the mate bond.Rosalie sighed happily as she took stock of herself.All the insecurities she had initially had when she learned of Bella’s limitations were all gone and she felt more than secure in the bond.Life was finally turning out the way Rosalie always wanted and she knew that she would be thanking fate for many years to come for reuniting her with Bella.
