“Would you be offended if I ordered a steak?”Rosalie asked Isabella.The pair along with Tanya were seated at a table in the restaurant Tanya had found that had the best reviews.Rosalie was extremely excited about having the opportunity to eat human food.Her only complaint with the situation was that the table wasn’t round and they were forced to sit apart from each other.Tanya had been nice enough to let Rosalie sit next to Isabella.Rosalie was planning on letting Tanya sit next to her next time they did something like this.At least Rosalie hoped there would be more chances to eat at restaurants.It would all depend on how often they were able to drink Isabella’s blood.

“Although I myself am not comfortable with it I will not object to either of you eating meat.”Isabella told her.

“Doesn’t that go against your beliefs?”Tanya asked.

“No because humans are meant to survive by eating animals.The reason I have a problem with vampires feeding from them is because that’s not what you were created for.Animal blood has no benefit for your species so by killing animals you are basically taking innocent lives for no reason.I am responsible for all life on earth and it is my job to make sure that every living being serves their purpose.Vampires are not part of my domain but I am allowed to step in if they veer into my territory.”Isabella explained.

“But humans kill animals for no reason sometimes as well.Doesn’t that mean that they are going against they were created for?”Rosalie asked.

“It’s part of nature for predators to enjoy hunting their prey.Do I wish that they would only kill out of necessity?”Isabella nodded.”Yes I do however when the I created humans I gave them free will.I wanted them to be able to choose what they would do with their lives.Some take a path of good some take a path of bad.My job is to judge them for their decisions not make them for them.”

“You created humans?”Tanya didn’t know that.

“I’m the goddess of life.I created all that lives on earth.”Isabella told her.

“Woah.”Rosalie wasn’t sure what to think about that.She hadn’t put much thought into how humans came to be.Now knowing it was her mate that was responsible for her existing was mind blowing.

“Now you understand why it is very important to me that everyone keeps to the role they were born into.”Isabella said.

“You said animal blood has no benefits for vampires.If that’s true why didn’t we starve while living off it?”Tanya asked.

“The blood has actually been slowly poisoning you.It breaks down your body and affects your abilities to do most things.You probably haven’t even noticed that you are no longer as fast as you were when you drank human blood.Or that your reflexes aren’t as good and you are a lot a weaker.Even your senses are worse.”Isabella had seen what happened when vampires tried to live off animal blood before.After a while they lost all their vampire traits and became weak and unable to defend themselves.

“Wait you are saying that animal blood has actually been harming us?”Rosalie didn’t think that she was any different from a human drinker.

“I have judged the souls of animal blood drinkers before and have witnessed the changes their bodies went through abstaining from human blood.By the time of some of their deaths their abilities where on the same level as humans.”Isabella told them.

“But they never turned human did they?”Tanya was upset with herself for introducing her sisters to what she considered at the time the more humane way of feeding.She now felt extremely guilty knowing that it had actually harmed them.

“No, even though they were as weak as humans they still had the characteristics of vampires.Hard bodies, sparkling in the sun, needed to survive on blood all those things.”Isabella said.

“Are we going to be able to recover from the damage?”Rosalie asked.

“By drinking human blood it will restore your body to peak condition.How long it will take depends on how often you feed and how much you ingest.I fully expect that by drinking my blood when you turn back to vampires you will be completely healed.”Isabella knew that even though she couldn’t modify a vampire’s body that her magic would eliminate any maladies her mates suffered from.In this case any animal blood left in their bodies.

“It’s to bad we can’t help the others.”Tanya would like for her coven to be at their best but wasn’t comfortable with anyone but Rosalie drinking Isabella’s blood.

Rosalie was of the same thought as Tanya.She didn’t like the idea of anyone but the two them drinking Isabella’s blood.”At least they have all agreed to change diets.”

“I will have to implement a feeding schedule to make sure everyone is drinking enough to help them recover faster.”Tanya didn’t think it would be to hard to convince everyone to increasing their feeding.Especially once she explained why they needed all the extra blood.”I have the plans in the works for the blood disposal business but it will take at least a month to have it officially up and running.”

“How are we going to be able to get blood before that?”Rosalie didn’t have a clue how to go about getting blood.

“We will have to steal it.”Tanya wasn’t happy about having to but it was the only option they really had.

“I may able to help with that.”Isabella knew she would be going against her own rules but if it was for her mates she didn’t mind breaking a few every now and then.

“How so?”Tanya asked.

“I don’t usually interfere with the human world that much but I think that this could be consider a special case.That being said if you can locate where the blood bags are I am willing to get them for you.”Isabella didn’t know where exactly blood bags were stored but could easily break in anywhere without getting caught using her abilities.

“Really?”Rosalie wouldn’t think that a goddess would break the law.

Isabella nodded.”Like I said I don’t usually interfere but as this is so important to the both of you I will make an exception.”

“Thank you.”Tanya was touched that Isabella would go against her nature to help their family just because it was important to her and Rosalie.

Rosalie gave Isabella a soft kiss.”Thank you.”

“It’s no problem.If anything once my sibling find out about it they will throw me a party to celebrate the fact that I did something so daring.”Isabella’s family and friends always encouraged her to take risks but Isabella didn’t like to upset the balance.Finding out that she broke the law for her mates would have them all shocked.

“Are we going to ever meet your siblings?”Rosalie asked.

“I was planning on inviting you to my realm and introducing you to everyone but with the situation we find ourselves in I think it would be unwise to leave your family to fend for themselves.”Isabella said.

“I hate that you are right.”Tanya had always thought that once she found her mate they would go off on their own and spend years lost in each other.Being targeted by powerful enemies ruined those plans and it made Tanya more determined than ever to eliminate any threat to her, her mates and her coven as quickly and painfully as possible.

“Are any of your siblings going to stand with us if we need their help?”Rosalie knew that they would need all the support they could get when time came to defend themselves.Especially when the time came for them to have their children.

“Nyx has promised that if things get out hand that she will step in and handle her creations for us.”Isabella told them.

Tanya felt a lot better knowing that the goddess who created vampires was on their side.”That’s good because we will need her.”

“She will probably be the one that makes the Volturi leave us alone.”Rosalie knew that it would take something big to make the royals stop their pursuit of them.Even if Isabella wasn’t involved the kings wouldn’t stand for the Denali having taken in the Cullens.It made their coven to powerful.All the gifted members and the sisters’ fighting skills made them a serious threat to any who opposed them.The Volturi would want to eliminate them for fear they would try to overthrow them.A fear that was legitimate because with Isabella and her allies the Denali would have no problem taking out the guard and the kings.

“I would have her go visit them but I doubt that would deter them from coming after us.”Isabella said.

“You’re right.If anything they wouldn’t believe her claims and if they did it would make them even more interested in us because we had the protection of a goddess.”Tanya figured if Nyx did talk to the kings they would prepare an army to attack them right away.They wouldn’t even bother trying to negotiate peace.

“I hope when we get back to the house that Eleazar has some news for us.”Rosalie would like to know what kind of threats they needed to prepare for.

“He should as the vampires that Carlisle are most likely to reach out to are ones that Eleazar is on friendly terms with.Unless Carlisle has some hidden allies he has never told anyone about.”Tanya didn’t think he did as he wasn’t well liked by most of their kind.Even the ones he called friends mostly put up with him because they didn’t want the attention of the kings on them for fighting.

“I doubt he does.He doesn’t like to expose us to many other covens.I think it’s because he was worried that we would leave him.That and he has little respect for human drinkers.”Rosalie was sure that Carlisle didn’t have any allies she hadn’t met.The man wasn’t known to interact with anyone other than his family and the Denali.

Tanya smiled.”A valid worry as you all did leave him.”

“A decision I wish I had made decades ago.”Rosalie would always regret staying with Carlisle for so long.She could have been a lot happier with Tanya even without knowing about the mate bond.

“If my father hadn’t interfered you would have.”Isabella was still unhappy with her father for what he did to her mates.She wasn’t going to hold a grudge though as he didn’t do it to be hurtful.

“Yes but because he did we have been given the opportunity to have children.”Tanya wasn’t upset with how things had turned out.It would have been nice to have Rosalie by her side but she would trade the decades they spent apart for a chance to have children any day.

“That’s true.We may not have been together like we should have been but I really can’t be mad because it resulted in both of us being granted our greatest wish.”Rosalie couldn’t be angry when the result of all her suffering was having a child of her own.

“That is something to look forward to.”Isabella was beyond pleased that she would be able to have children with both her mates.It was gift that she would be thanking her father for for years to come.

“Something else else to look forward to is eating some food.”Tanya said.

Rosalie picked up her menu.”What are you going to get?”

“I’m going to get the Mediterranean chick pea salad.”Isabella told her.

“I’m going to get the crab cakes to start then I think steak and lobster.”Tanya wasn’t sure how much she was going to be able to eat but she was going to make sure she got her fill.

“I think I’m going to get the steak with grilled shrimp.”Rosalie had never tried shrimp in her human life and was curious to know what it tasted like.Waving down their waitress Rosalie thought about everything that had been discussed.Finding out that it was her mate that created all life on earth was shocking and still hard to wrap her head around.It make Rosalie proud that she was personally picked to be with Isabella.She wasn’t sure why she was picked but she had to have done something impressive if a titan thought that she was good enough for a goddess.Others always dismissed Rosalie due her looks thinking she didn’t have any to offer other than her beauty.By being being mated to Isabella it gave Rosalie a big boost of self confidence and gave her the feelings of finally finding where she fit in the world.Something that she would cherish for the rest of eternity.
